To help everyone make sense of what’s going in the DAO space, we introduce to you DAO Alert and Poll.

🚨 DAO Alert

The deployments of these massive funds are decided by the DAO members (e.g., token or NFT holders). Members vote on proposals which detail the use and amount required of the funds.

This seems like a straightforward flow, but it has left us with a question: How can we trust that the treasury controller would follow the DAO’s decision? This question of integrity is one of the main concerns in the crypto space especially when most DAOs are comprised of members that barely know each other scattered all over the world.

It would be hard for anyone to simultaneously monitor all of the treasury movements of every large DAO 24/7. This is where DAO Alert comes in.

The DAO Alert twitter account will be tweeting whenever there is a transfer of tokens from or to the labeled DAO contracts in our database. We will also label the sender or receiver if we can.

🗳 DAO Poll

Almost all of the important treasury movements of DAOs are caused by an execution of a passed proposal. Thus, we consider proposal details and status to be a very important piece of information for DAO members.

DAO Poll will track proposal status changes of large DAOs and also provide a twitter poll for anyone that is interested in expressing their opinions to cast a vote.

Most of DAO activity lives onchain and in closed private space (Discord, Telegram etc). This information gap acts as a barrier for new people / outsider to join those DAO which may be harmful for the DAO itself in the long run. Increasing its visibility of DAO could onboard new talent, enhance peer review and could helps DAO grows longterm.
