Canonical Deployment of Uniswap V3

Uniswap V3 on Linea is a canonical deployment of the Uniswap V3 smart contracts, officially recognised by the Uniswap DAO (August, 2023). The goal of the proposal was to establish Uniswap’s market presence on Linea from Day 1 and promote its reach through synergistic integrations with Consensys products such as Metamask.

In its official recognition, all of the Linea Uniswap V3 smart contracts have been added to the v3 deployments.uniswap.eth subdomain. Additionally, Uniswap V3 on Linea has been integrated on Metamask Swaps, providing its liquidity sources to one of the most used aggregators in the world of EVMs.

Decentralised Frontend Powered by DapDap

When it came to the frontend for Uniswap V3, Linea looked for accessible alternatives to the Uniswap Laps interface, which had just announced a 0.15% interface fee for select assets, or Metamask Swaps, which charges a 0.875% interface fee. Here in came DapDap - an upcoming dApp aggregator for Ethereum L2s, whose core mission is to make DeFi as accessible and streamlined as possible.

In essence, DapDap functions as a Decentralised Front-end as a Service (DFaaS) for Linea. Using NearJS, a JavaScript library for deploying and storing frontend code on-chain, DapDap built a custom frontend for Linea’s Uniswap V3 which not only is decentralised and open-source, but entirely free to use.

With the front-end source code entirely on-chain, DapDap’s frontend champions censorship resistance and on-chain verifiability, mitigating the risk of front-end hacks unlike traditional centralised front-ends most DeFi protocols rely on. This embodies the ethos of secure, seamless, and user-centric access to DeFi–an ethos central to both DapDap and Linea’s missions.

How to use Uniswap V3 on Linea

DapDap’s credibly neutral gateway brings the recognisable Uniswap experience users are already familiar with—together with the added benefit of no fees—retaining all the core functionalities of Uniswap v3, including slippage control and smart routing, within a fully verifiable and user-friendly interface. DapDap even goes further to embed the bridging function in-app (powered by Stargate) so that users do not have to open another tab to bridge their assets.

To use Uniswap V3 on Linea, all you have to do is go to linea.dapdap.net, connect your wallet, and follow the prompt to switch to the Linea network. Now you are ready to bridge, swap, and LP on Uniswap V3 on Linea.
