Recently, metauniverse has become a hot topic in the field of science and technology and capital. In the face of the rising popularity of the meta universe, Shi Ke, member of the CPPCC National Committee, chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the agricultural labor party and chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Association for science and technology, said in an interview with China News Agency reporters on the eve of the two sessions that the meta universe will face three major challenges in the process of landing.

The word “metaverse” comes from the two concepts of “metaverse” and “Avatar” mentioned in the American science fiction avalanche. It now refers to the Internet application and social life form of virtual reality integration formed under the promotion of XR, AI, digital twin, blockchain and other technologies. At this stage, the meta universe is still an evolving and developing concept.

As a scientific and technological worker, Shi Ke believes that the meta universe can be regarded as a high-level upgraded version of virtual reality and a highly interactive and interconnected digital virtual world operated by virtual reality with the support of ultra-high technology.

Under the concept of great heat, many places in China release the signal of ahead layout of the meta universe and bring the meta universe into the future industrial development system; Digital technology giants at home and abroad have also made continuous moves and joined the yuanuniverse track one after another.

At the national two sessions, the application of scientific and technological innovation has always been a topic that Shi Ke has paid attention to and talked about. In his opinion, we should treat the meta universe rationally and dialectically. From a technical point of view, the core technologies involved in metauniverse, such as video games, interaction, artificial intelligence, network and computing, Internet of things, blockchain and so on, are the key supporting technologies of digital economy and need to be developed.

Shi Ke also said that metauniverse has a wide range of application fields, which can be applied to many fields such as social networking, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent medical treatment, film and television entertainment, culture and tourism, security and education, so as to make people’s production and life more intelligent, modern and convenient. “Due to the high degree of virtual and real integration of the meta universe, we should also pay attention to the possible negative impact of life in the virtual world on real life.”

According to public media reports, according to PwC’s prediction, the market scale of metauniverse will reach US $1.5 trillion in 2030.

Although the cosmopolitan industry is still in the “sprouting” stage, it still has a broad prospect.

Shi Ke noted that metauniverse will face three major challenges in the process of industrialization: first, many government officials, entrepreneurs and scholars lack corresponding knowledge and ideas about metauniverse, and their understanding of it is not accurate and comprehensive enough, resulting in unclear what metauniverse is and how to start and develop; Second, China’s existing meta universe core technology can not meet the demand, and there is still a gap between domestic technology and products and foreign countries; Third, at present, a complete meta universe industrial chain has not been formed and economies of scale have not been formed.

In this regard, Shi Ke suggested organizing lectures and training on metauniverse, guiding entrepreneurs, government officials and scholars, and encouraging and helping existing metauniverse enterprises and future metauniverse practitioners to develop real metauniverse technologies and products; Research and develop the core technology of the meta universe to meet the needs of the meta universe industrial chain and the forefront of common science and technology; Gather relevant high-quality resources across the country, introduce foreign yuancosmic leading enterprises and leading technologies, and build a world yuancosmic technology and industrial highland.

In view of the “chaos” of the meta universe, there have been all kinds of chaos of hype and illegal fund-raising under the banner.
