I needed an identity, my partner grabbed the magazine, and found the name. It stuck immediately.

About five years ago, I was literally dying in a thankless, futile “tech” job run by bureaucrats. My gas tank was empty. The only thing that was giving me any hope at all was my dog, my partner, and a burning desire to do something creative. All my life I ignored that side of me and I was finally at the breaking point. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I got myself fired. Best day of my life.

I took a few months to bash my head against the door, partook of a steady diet of fear and uncertainty, and started crawling forward. There was no way in hell I was ever going to sell my soul to make money, so what choice did I have?

It has taken me some time to get sorted, but I finally started to create the things that keep me up at night. No, really, I literally can’t sleep because my brain just won’t STFU. There is stuff inside that needs to come out, for better or worse.

What the hell is an NFT?

Back, before I was fired, I dipped my toes into the Bitcoin world. Can’t say I really understood it all that well, but I did manage to buy in so that I made a bit money. Not very much, but more than I paid into. That’s a plus.

So now, there is this NFT world. Holy mackerel, it is the wild west. I have never been an early adopter, except that I occasionally recognize something I think is interesting and it usually ends there. Not this time. While I am not an early adopter of NFTs, I am no longer going to shy away from the whole DAO world. Frankly, it is fascinating. The regular world bores me to tears and, if I understand anything about it, this distributed community concept is thrilling.

Instead of risking getting too preachy, I think I will end this first post here. So, I think I have found a community that is challenging, exciting, and unafraid to see a future that is not controlled by conventional dogma.

As Bill Hicks once said, f*ck it, I found my brand!

Weasel -(OUT)-
