after a longer and intense process of internal evaluation by the DeCats team we are very happy to announce today officially the start of the DeCats DAO.

The basic idea for the DeCats DAO is to give the community and stakeholders the power about important and basic desicions, support community participation in the development of the DeCats project and make the DeCats project really decentralized.

Examples for important desicions are e.g. the coming airdrop, the use of the team treasury which will be the DAO treasury, tokenomics for GameFi and desicions about other upcoming projects.

In conclusion: “We want to build a DAO to allow community members to work closely and together with the team to build a community where people want to be, and prioritize engagement over growth.“

Government / DAO token: gDECATS

After longer internal evaluation the team decided not to invent a complicated (and expensive) “staking for DAO voting rights” system. We will use basically the $DECATS token as DAO/government voting vehicle, wrapped as gDECATS (=Governance DECATS).

You can wrap/unwrap your $DECATS easily on the DAO dashboard anytime (click on “Join the DAO” to wrap/unwrap). With this system we give $DECATS additional utility by using it as base for the DAO government token.

Any $DECATS holder which holds $DECATS onchain in any wallet can wrap and vote (and delegate votes). Simply like that, you don’t need to do something else than holding as much as possible $DECATS onchain in your wallet and wrap them to gDECATS to get voting power.

Wrapping and unwrapping gDECATS is possible anytime and without losses, it will be always 1:1.

Constitutional government vote

To start the DAO formally, today starts a first government vote and we ask hereby the community to vote actively for the constitution of the DAO.

DAO treasury

As we want to make the DeCats DAO a real DAO, the team treasury, which contains actually an amout of 1,369.6117 $DECATS (~13,7% of total supply) will be transferred to the DAO treasury after the constitutional vote ended succesfully.

From this moment, only the DAO can spend any $DECATS from the former team wallet, conducted only by government vote. Every spend of $DECATS, including airdrop, but also smaller spendings like marketing and other expenses have to be conducted by government vote from the moment the DAO treasury is funded.

The remaining DeCats Meow NFT will stay in the team treasury and can be used for marketing and rewards by the team at own discretion without DAO proposal.

with this article we would like to give you a brief overview of the activities the team is working on and keep you updated.

After our $DECATS coin listing on BitMart we will primary focus on product- / project- and community development. It’s been decided that we are focusing in the next months on these things:

Concept & implementation of a DAO

We will invent a DAO model, where you can stake your $DECATS, your provided liquidity and also your #DeCats Meow NFT to get DAO voting rights (via DAO token emission for staking) and also profit sharing of future DeCats projects (like GameFi ecosystem and other activites). The DAO will have the power of the team treasury (future DAO treasury) and will make important decisions about the whole #DeCats project like airdrop, GameFi etc.

GameFi ecosystem: “DeCats - The Game”

One of the biggest (and most expensive) projects that we have on our roadmap, is a full GameFi ecosystem under the internal title “DeCats - The Game”. The team is actively working on a concept, is in contact with several GameFi studios and also had the first investor contacts already. As the development of a GameFi ecosystem is expensive, we are starting soon to look actively for investors for the GameFi ecosystem (more info under tokenomics model).

Tokenomics model for the DAO and GameFi investors

As mentioned already, for the GameFi ecosystem we need external investors as the development cost will be high and the team (DAO) treasury doesn’t have that large funding. So the model will be like a “franchise model”: our community (the DAO) will give the rights for the development of the DeCats game to a “DeCats“ company (which has yet to be founded) and earns a share of the future profits of this company. The profit distribution between DAO token holders and the GameFi company is the basic discussion topic in the tokenomics model and will be discussed and decided finally in a DAO voting.

Community NFT edition

Last but not least, as mentioned in the roadmap, there will also be an NFT edition with art from our community members. We are in the process of discussing the economics and exploring the possibilities of a mixed/shared NFT collection of community member artists, where each artist will receive a share of the revenue from minted NFTs. As soon as we have the final concept, we will publish it and invite community members to participate in the community NFT collection.

we would like to give you today a status update about the trading activity of our DeCats Meow NFT collection and the “OS topic”.

As mentioned before already, OpenSea has suspended the trading of our NFT collection with reference to their Terms of Services and has not reopened it despite several support tickets and has informed us that the decision is final.

We have received almost no specific feedback as to Opensea's exact reasoning but, from the little we have been told, we have reached the conclusion that it is likely to be due to the fact that we have combined the NFT Mint with an airdrop promise, which of course still applies and strictly speaking contradicts the OS Terms of Services. Normally OS doesn't care, but obviously when this is brought to their attention, there is a reaction.

We then had the OS Terms of Services checked by an experienced crypto lawyer, with the result that OS can unfortunately make such decisions according to their Terms of Services and do not even have to tell us what the exact reasons are.

The team has therefore decided that we will promote a different marketplace to our official, preferred marketplace with immediate effect. This is Magic Eden and the collection can be found and traded here:

The team had listing proposals from more than 10 CEXs - from very small to larger, well known CEXs, and after intense discussions and talks with several of them and inside the team, we decided on a reputable CEX that is usually in the top 10 of CEXs by SPOT trading volume: BitMart.

We are therefore pleased to officially announce that our first CEX listing is scheduled for 22 January 2024 on BitMart Exchange.

Bitmart is one of the most trusted centralised cryptocurrency trading platforms, on the market since 2017 and not known for any major scandals or bad practices. BitMart is built on an advanced architecture with strong security features that increase its scalability and stability. some of you always ask: “what’s next?” - and you are right as we didn’t publish a official roadmap until now.

We as a team would like to give you some answers today, a official roadmap and explain a little bit the plans and thoughts of the team.

As you might understand, we started #DeCats as meme on DeBank and afterwards the idea of a community memecoin, $DECATS was born and realized. Unplanned and spontaneous.

But in the time after the launch of the $DECATS coin we’ve put already a lot of effort and work in a real project and ecosystem, always with the goal in mind to be sustainable, transparent and trustworthy and not “only” a any single-day fly memecoin which will be forgotten after some days or weeks.

And the team is having a clear idea and vision: Setting up the #DeCats coin and ecosystem is not “fire and forget” for us - it is a marathon which we are willing to go as a team together with a strong, enthusiastic and continously growing community!

Until now we released and worked as a team on several bigger and smaller #DeCats projects like:

• X/Twitter (incl. initial influencer posts)

• initial 100% team liquidity locking

• Zealy campaign

• official token audit (99,9%!)

• Coingecko listing

We think we achieved a lot, including a market cap of >260k $ mainly only out of the DeBank community. But of course we want more. To achieve this, we need to go out of the very strong, but still relatively small DeBank community, which is really a challenge.

So we are working currently on some projects and even on the website to be expanded to show our full potential. The clear target is to build an web3 ecosystem around the #DeCats community and to fill the $DECATS coin with utility. Some of the next steps we are evaluating or working on it currently:

• funding a DAO (stake $DECATS and $DECATS liquidity for DAO voting rights)

• expanded website not only for the coin, but also for the NFT project and the DAO

• there are planned more NFT collections (like a community collection or other official collection from other artist collaborations) in 2024

• Advertising campaigns in several related crypto media

• Evaluation of possible #DeCats GameFi and DeFi projects with experienced external teams

• …and many other ideas will follow to form a community ecosystem and fill $DECATS with utility

About the planned DAO

Especially to form a DAO will bring #DeCats to a real community web3 project.

What we have in mind is that the DAO makes all important decisions such as using the existing $DECATS team budget (currently still ~23% of total supply), airdrop, CEX listing (when we reach 1M market cap) and so on.

We want to replace the "non-binding" polls on various channels such as DeBank or in the Telegram group and force binding decisions by the community and especially of course the $DECATS investors and liquidity providers.

The technical DAO implementation will still take some time, as we have to consider various aspects including LP-providing/-staking in two different DEX’s, but we wanted to inform you about the rough plans and ideas and encourage a discussion.

today we would like to give you an update about our planned expansion with an second DEX (QuickSwap on Polygon PoS) and prepare for an important poll.

We are in good conversations with QuickSwap and GAMMA for our second official DEX listing and have reached necessary agreements with both parties.

The whole process will still take some time, as the community requested the most advanced combination of DeFi technology which is availabile at the moment (QuickSwap V3 pool + GAMMA).

Now the time has come to decide finally and within the next days about the final configuration of our pool at QuickSwap.

But first some detailed informations about the planned pool structure and liquidity:

1. The base underlying pool is a V3 concentrated liquidity pool on QuickSwap. It will be filled with 10k initial liquidity which is on full range (zero to infinity). This is the base underlying pool, where the GAMMA technology -in case there is an rebalance- will sell or buy $DECATS to rebalance accordingly to price range and actual price.

2. Additionally to the base underlying V3 pool there will be an additional initial liquidity of 50k as “GAMMA managed” position on wide range which we can guarantee mainly from the remaining unlocked team liquidity.

3. after initial deployment all community members are invited to provide their liquidity and earn APR on it in one of the two possible variants, which are possible with the QuickSwap/GAMMA technology.

LP providers will have two choices how they want to provide their liquidity on QuickSwap:

1. in the underlying V3 concentrated liquidity pool, where the liquidity provider can deploy in any desired price range (e.g. 15$ to 1.000$ or in crypto-crpyto e.g. 15 to 1000 $WMATIC)

2. GAMMA (wide) – here the range is defined and rebased if necessary by GAMMA technology, but gives you the advantage of auto compounding (higher APY)

Now, after all these basic informations comes something which is really important and where the team needs to know the opinion and wishes of the potential liquidity providers: the type of our pool.

We are talking about the following question: $DECATS-STABLE or $DECATS-CRYPTO pool?

As you might know already, the team advocates for an $DECATS-CRYPTO pool for following reasons:

1. We have a stable pool already on VirtuSwap

2. a $DECATS-CRYPTO pool gives more price volatility and therefore more trading volume which is good for APR for the liquidity providers and even trading volume is a good indicator for CEX to see if a listing on a CEX makes sense

3. An $DECATS-CRYPTO pool gives us furthermore the chance to participate also naturally on the expected coming crypto bullrun

But - as mentioned also already from some experienced DeFi community members: in a $DECATS-CRYPTO pool there are higher risks related to price fluctuations as market is more volatile than $DECATS actually behaves and might lead for GAMMA providers also in probably more frequent rebases, as the expected volatility might be higher.

The risk mainly comes from the question, if $DECATS will follow general market movements or not. This is something, which at our early stage can not seriously be predicted. But the team in general is optimistic to outperform on the long run, as there are #DeCats projects in pipeline to build an real ecosystem around #DeCats and $DECATS coin.

Anyway, as an additional information an original comment from QuickSwap on this topic:

“Even at 50% above and 50% below the current price (a really wide range) is ~4x more efficient than a V2 pool. And unlikely to rebase often.”

as you already might know, we are working on a second DEX listing for our beloved $DECATS coin - also at the request of the community.

The wish of many community members is a pool on one of the leading DEX's on the Polygon PoS chain, QuickSwap. We are in contact with the QuickSwap team and have discussed a few options, which I would like to present below.

First of all, however, a basic piece of information: an incentive for liquidity providers on the part of QuickSwap, as we have it reached with our launch partner VirtuSwap, is only possible with QuickSwap from a TVL of >100k $, a daily trading volume >10k$, official token security audit and then also only on the V3 (concenctrated liquidity) pools or GAMMA pools (automatically rebalanced V3 pools).

The free, unlocked team liquidity amounts to around 30-35k, depending on the price, so we can certainly get to 50k quickly and the 100k doesn't seem impossible. In any case, the team will migrate the unlocked initial liquidity (remaining 50%) from VirtuSwap to QuickSwap and lock there, as it has already done with 50% of the initial liquidity on VirtuSwap.

Here are the options we currently have with QuickSwap:

1. Classic V2 pool without farming incentive

   This is basically the same as what we have actually with VirtuSwap, but without incentives from DEX. However, a migration of 50% of the initial team liquidity (including fixed locking) to a classic V2 pool at QuickSwap would be the easiest way.

2. Classic V2 pool with farming incentives from the $DECATS team

   QuickSwap additionally offers us the possibility to incentivise a V2 pool for liquidity providers from our own (team) pocket. This offers the advantage of possibly attracting liquidity providers and token holders outside the core #DeCats community.

   If we were to choose this option, we would of course, for reasons of fairness, grant our launch partner VirtuSwap the same budget from the team treasury, which would lead to a) a smaller team budget (e.g. effect on airdrop, but also on other future marketing activities) and b) a corresponding increase in the APR for our pool at VirtuSwap.

3. Concentrated Liquidity Pool (V3) direct from QuickSwap

   Some of us may be familiar with the system of concentraded liquidity pools, but we would like to explain it here for those who are not deep down the DeFi rabbit hole.

   Simply explained, liquidity is not provided for the entire range of possible prices. For example, liquidity can be provided for a “concentraded“ price range from $15 to $100. If the price falls below $15, then you have 100% $DECATS in the pool. If the price rises above 100$, then you have "sold" all $DECATS via the pool and only have stables in the pool and no longer participate in AMM trading (no more APR). The system itself is clever and generates more APR from trading, but as an LP provider you have to be aware of the effects (possible increased impermanent loss effects = IL).

   From our own experience we would rather prefer this system with a crypto-crypto pool (such as $DECATS-WETH or $DEATS-WMATIC), as here the effects of the IL are somewhat more limited, provided $DECATS rises with the market (=expected crypto market bull run in 2024/2025).

   However, the initial team liquidity could still be migrated and provided in a very wide range, e.g. price range 1$ to infinity, and other LP providers could define their own price range and provide liquidity with a correspondingly significantly higher APR than the initial team liquidity.

   It is conceivable that in the future, when we reach a liquidity of at least 100k on this pool, we could also receive additional incentives for liquidity providers from QuickSwap (t.b.d.).

4. GAMMA Farms (automatically rebalanced V3 liquidity pool)

   As a further option, QuickSwap offers us the latest and most advanced model in the “liquidity providing business”: GAMMA Farms. The model is basically based on a concentradet liquidity pool (V3) as just explained, but is constantly and automatically "rebalanced" by GAMMA (gamma.xyz).

   This means you don’t need to be aware of the price range you provide liquidity, but it will be adjusted constantly by GAMMA technology.

   It is a very good option for liquidity providers who are interested in providing liquidity in the long term and can withstand rebalances (i.e. do not panic immediately when a rebalance occurs - it can go two ways over time). The system also offers the advantage that trading fees received are automatically reinvested in the pool (auto compounding = higher APY).

   Here, too, the clear recommendation: if we choose this option, then better as a crypto-crypto pool such as $DECATS-WETH or $DECATS-WMATIC. And furthermore, with this option it is also conceivable that if the pool size reaches >100k TVL, we could receive incentives for liquidity providers from QuickSwap (t.b.d).

We will be conducting polls (in the Telegram group and on DeBank) over the next few days to understand which option our potential liquidity providers prefer and then talk further with QuickSwap, set up the new pool on QuickSwap and lock the remaining 50% of the initial team liquidity on the new QuickSwap pool as fast as possible.

after our community memecoin launch was a great success, it is now time to put the project on a stable basis and set it up for a sustainable and long-term future.

Q: Who is eligible for the Airdrop?

A: The exact criteria for eligibility are of course kept secret. But you can assume that it won't hurt to post cat pictures in DeBank with the hashtag #DeCats. Ideally they are trending in DeBank (hot tab). And of course early token holders will have an very good chance for an airdrop, especially liquidity providers for the pool on VirtuSwap. Assume in general, that everything what is trackable on DeBank (and other platforms) associated with your wallet address can be eligible for an airdrop batch. $DECATS team members/initial liquidity providers are generally excluded from any airdrop batch.

Q: Wen Airdrop?

A: The exact date for the airdrop has not been set. We want to place the coin stably first, then there will be an airdrop. We will do airdrops in small batches over a longer period, always according to tokenomics and activity. So there will be several “small” airdrops and you can expect more than only one “big“ airdrop. It's important for a succesful airdrop that we don't disturb the tokenomics, but at the same time reward the early supporters and token holders.

A: We created the contract using the service of Dodoex. In one of my "last" posts I wrote that I don't know yet what I'm going to do with DeBank, maybe I'll just post cat pictures in the future I wrote.

No sooner said than done, the next morning I started posting cat pictures. AI art with cats and bitcoins to be exact.

As it quickly turned out: cats are popular. Not only in real life, but also on DeBank!

In a private Telegram chat with some members of the DeBank Telegraph team (unfortunately discontinued), I was surprised that this post was so successful and was in the "hot-tab" for hours.

My ambition was aroused: I wanted to always have a cat post in the hot tab for 24 hours. The other members immediately joined in and invented the hashtag "#DeCats" and so the DeCats were born.

And now here we are, trying to make #DeCats big!
