So to break through all the noise, I'll briefly explain what a NFT is and why they are important. I'll explain how NFT culture is similar to Sneaker culture. And then, I'll explain why NFTs now are just at the tip of the iceberg to something much more! And hopefully I'll spark your curiosity to filter through all the of the noise and negativity so you can see what NFTs really are.

So whats a NFT? A Non-Fungile-Token?? The name itself makes it complicated and hard to understand. But NFTs are just new technology that allows digital files (information) to be stored and secured in a way that ensures ownership. And the kicker is they can be anything you program them to be!

So why is that important? Well, it's important because of these three main reasons.

• 1) Probably the most important reason is the aiblity to have ownership of digital files that live on the internet. Essentially we now have the ability to own a piece of the Internet. Lets called them Digital Rights! This has never been possible before until now and this creates an explosion of innovation and creativity that is changing the way the Internet operates. And what's crazy is, it won't just impact one industry but it will span across all industries!!

• 2) NFTs are programmable, meaning you can write code and give them instructions that they can automatically execute. Basically, NFTs are mini computers or smart contracts stored on the Internet and will grow more advanced and powerful as innovation grows and more people use them.

• 3) And the third reason why, and this is where things can get a little more complicated. But if done in the ethos of crypto, NFTs can be stored securely and live forever on the Internet.

So if you enjoy collectibles, and trading unique limited edition items, NFTs should be a no brainer to look into. Personally, I grew up collecting sneakers and there is a ton of overlap in the Sneaker Culture and NFT Culture that I'm most excited about and want to explain.

What is Sneaker Culture

The first thing that comes to mine when I think of Sneaker Culture is Jordan! Standing in long lines to get the new exclusive Jordan drop or signing up for the raffle in the Nike app these days. Collecting sneakers that might have value and displaying them on the shelf or flipping them for a nice profit later. Wearing exclusive sneakers to "flex" and spark conversation with random strangers. Sneakers are not only style items and a statement of identity but sneakers bring a community of people together from around the world. And its the same vibes with NFTs.

NFT Culture

NFTs are similar to the Sneaker game! If you like sneakers, you're gonna love NFTs! NFT culture is hanging out with your friends on Twitter. Looking at NFT charts to see if your favorite NFTs are up or down. Jumping on Twitter Spaces to talk about the hottest NFT trends. But whats cool about NFTs is not only do they connect you with a global community, they have a finance and tech element to them. You can borrow and lend NFTs, you can use NFTs as collateral, and there are liquid markets where you can trade NFTs with your friends. As a sneaker head, imagine using your sneakers collection as collateral to take out a loan to buy a car.

NFT Tech

Remember, NFTs are smart contracts. They're programmable mini computers that live on the Internet. They're contracts that automatically execute once a specific set of conditions are met. Most people only see NFTs at their infancy stage as collectibles or Art but that's only the tip of the iceberg

Cars and houses titles, mortgages, escrow companies, almost anything that has a standard contract will more than likely be a NFT. NFTs will be a more efficient tool to handle business. This is the exciting part of the tech that gets left out of the headlines and the narratives when there is a ton of noise.

Once you buy your first NFT and join a community, you'll start to see the different facets of NFTs. It's a deep rabbit hole to go down and its really fascinating. You'll find the part that you connect with the most as you break through the surface level and want to learn more. Then you'll start to see the magic. But you have to jump in and dig past the surface area first.

NFTs are really cool because they sit at the intersection of Finance/Tech/Art/Culture. They're a massive technological innovation that's shifting the entire world. So it's important to get familiar with how they work. If you're feeling overwhelmed and having a hard time wrapping your head around so much information, Trust, I understand because I felt the same way. But over time you'll be able to put the pieces together and it will all make sense. I hope I helped you understand NFTs a little better and I wish you good luck on your journey.

Property Rights are a system that give the owner the ability to do what they choose to do with their property. Property Right laws are different everywhere but the most successful systems are standardize, and keep records in some form of a contract. And note, property could be a piece of land or a car but property could also be a patent or an invention. Intellectual property.

Property Rights have been around for ages. They're established to protect security and ownership of a transaction. They're a coordination technology and improve the flow of communication about assets. Property Rights are where culture becomes civilization and its been proven throughout history.

Once you can prove something is scarce you can start to build Property Rights on top of it. A house for example, once you own the Property Rights and it's well documented, you have the permission to use it, rent it, or sell it. We have these Property Rights in the real physical world but we haven't had them in the digital world.

The Internet has been around for a while and we spend a large chuck of our time on it. MP3, PDF's, content or anything digital that we send over the internet can be duplicated or copied without crediting the original creator. We've not been able to create digital scarcity to build Property Rights on. Until now! With Crypto.

Eventually this will expand to Tradfi assets. Real world assets will use the digital Property Rights system as well. Digital Property Rights can be tokenized and parsed out. You'll be able to sell certain aspect of your digital Property Rights on a marketplace. Also, digital objects are durable, divisible, and scalable so businesses will want to participate.
