Orange DAO, a crypto collective created by Y Combinator alumni for backing Web3 startups, is excited to announce that it is allocating part of its treasury to Cega, defi's first exotic options protocol in Solana.

The first product of OrangeDAO was our fund to back web3 startups but now we want to support these exciting new protocols we invest in by using our treasury to become early users of their products.

We believe in our vision so that is why we are deciding to put our money where our mouth is by creating our defi fund to allocate treasuries in founders that are building great things.

What’s Cega?

Cega is defi's first exotic options protocol in Solana. Founded by Arisa Toyosaki(google/bitcoin.com), Winston Zhang (YC), Victor Zhang (YC/Tesla) and Felicia Chen(Anduril/Apple), a rockstar team. Their goal is to create high-yielding products with protection in mind for every person's financial security.

Their inaugural exotic options product is the Fixed Coupon Note. Fixed coupon notes (FCN) are a type of exotic option structured product that has both equity option and bond-like characteristics. You can learn more about their product here

They just launched a couple days ago and already have $30M+ in TVL. The team is very clear about the risks and have different levels of APY depending on what you are comfortable with.

Allocating OrangeDAO’s treasury

We created a strategy/defi team that increases the yield the treasury of the DAO in a stable and secure way and also supports the protocols we invest in.

As a macro strategy for our treasury, we have a combination of different levels of risk going from Aave protocol to exotic options.
