            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Air pollution remains one of the most pressing environmental health challenges globally, particularly in urbanized regions where industrialization and motorization are highly concentrated. Studies have consistently demonstrated a strong correlation between exposure to airborne pollutants—such as particulate matter (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), and ozone (O₃)—and increased incidence of respiratory diseases including asthma, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). According to recent epidemiological data, children and the elderly are disproportionately affected due to their heightened physiological vulnerability. Furthermore, long-term exposure to air pollution has been linked to decreased lung function and elevated mortality rates in densely populated cities. The findings underscore the urgent need for multi-sectoral public health interventions and policies that promote cleaner air and mitigate the long-term consequences of environmental pollutants on respiratory health.</p><br>]]></content:encoded>
