A few days ago I came across someone who has offered something that made me pause and smile. Ever wondered why random acts of kindness go viral on YouTube? It is because everyone wishes to do them but few have the heart to; people live vicariously when they see it, because deep down it is the potential we feel in each of us yet it is the truly remarkable among us who go the extra distance to act on it. Anyone can comment or like, but taking real life action is what truly makes an impact.

So WHAT WAS IT that I saw that filled me with happiness and inspiration? I was speaking with a good friend in Brazil about Claro and Electroneum (ETN). Somewhere during the course of our conversation I was offered the opportunity to test the “TOP UP.” There was no way I was going to refuse that. But what I did not know is this kind invitation would, much to my surprise, turn into an awesome photo op:

I was introduced to “Letícia” who offered to pose for the pictures with Claro and Electroneum side by side. We made several transfers (TOP UPs) while the images were taken. The TOP UP worked flawlessly: it took about 3 seconds for the receiver to get their AIR/DATA and they even received an SMS confirming the TOP UP.

I was very impressed with the quality of the images, but more importantly I was impressed with the fact that she did it without any expectations of reward or payment. I was really touched by her kindness and I asked for her ETN wallet address. Of course I was compelled to make a contribution and I did.

The world of crypto has its own trends. Recently, more and more crypto projects resort to gamified earning mechanics that incentivizes users to play the project’s Play-to-Earn game. Not so long ago another earning mechanic sparked and made a massive change in the market, namely, Move-to-Earn. Being perceived as a way to promote a more healthy lifestyle, Move-to-Earn projects have gained a lot of attention among people in the crypto world and beyond it. IguVerse has gone further and implemented both in its app, but even more — it has introduced an earning mechanic that combines socialization and earning cryptocurrency, an innovative Socialize-to-Earn.

Socialize-to-Earn is a concept of getting rewarded for sharing your virtual NFT pet on social media. This concept shines bright in the light of recent trends of social media NFTisation; large platforms make the attempts to adopt NFT usage for quite a long time. For example, Twitter and Reddit have recently introduced NFT avatars, Instagram — digital in-app collectibles, and Facebook — native NFT support. But IguVerse has got the best of it and combined it all within their app, making it the main feature of the Socialize-to-Earn concept. Being pet-centric, IguVerse enables users to create their NFT pets based on their real-life pets, creating an extremely strong and personal link between the real and crypto worlds. In a nutshell, IguVerse creates an easy-to-use bridge between social media and crypto for each user.

In addition to that, the IguVerse team claims that this will engage more people from Web 2 to make their first step into Web 3 and the cryptocurrency world. “We are making a product that everyone can enjoy, even people unfamiliar with the crypto world,” — says CEO of IguVerse, Andriy Tkachiv. Web 3 attempts to invite more and more people into it, and it can be tracked everywhere; a lot of exchanges partner up with influencers outside of crypto to get their audience to join the crypto space as well. The whole idea of Socialize-to-Earn is to enable people to share their experience in crypto in form of their virtual pets with their social media friends and followers, inviting more potential users to join them.

About IguVerse

In a nutshell, IguVerse is a project that aims to combine SocialFi and GameFi elements in one app, offering users different earning mechanics to increase their profits. In the app, the users should have a virtual pet to be able to play the game. With the use of cutting-edge photo recognition technologies, players may create their NFT pets based on the real photos of their beloved ones. After this, they gain access to 3 daily tasks, each of which has its earning mechanics; namely, Move-to-Earn, Play-to-Earn, and Socialize-to-Earn, with the latter being the main feature of the project.

IguVerse has 2 primary tokens — $IGU and $IGUP. $IGUP is a reward token that users acquire after completing their daily tasks. In turn, $IGU is a native governance token. IguVerse has recently held a public sale of the $IGU tokens, where they managed to collect about $2.000.000. As of now, IguVerse is about to hold an IDO to expose the project to a high number of users around the world.

Telegram | Chat | Chat RU | Discord | Twitter | Website

We believe that user experience is foundational in driving mass adoption for DeFi and evolving it into a more friendly and broadly adopted service. We understand that most users don’t need to know how a blockchain protocol is built as long as the product/service is easy, efficient, and safe.

This is a major step in our roadmap and will give users unfettered access to the most popular blockchains in the crypto ecosystem.

With this strategic move, users will benefit from the flexibility of using a variety of blockchains without having to learn the intricacies of each individual chain. Users will be able to access a single platform to track and manage their funds across multiple chains, saving them time and effort.

With multi-chain comes increases in scale, and reach to new communities and audiences who are more comfortable using their preferred blockchain. By having a functional DeFi protocol on multiple blockchains, we can ensure that users have the best possible experience with MELD regardless of where they hold their tokens.

Going multi-chain fulfills a goal MELD has had from its inception; to bring liquidity together and use it efficiently. We want users to be able to draw from their bags, whether it be Bitcoin, Cardano, Avalanche, or Ethereum. You can bring your assets to the MELD protocol and start earning yield using a simple and straightforward interface in the MELDapp.

Multi-chain will help MELD stay competitive in the DeFi space by leveraging the best features of each blockchain. Each chain has different features and capabilities that can be used to our advantages, such as increased speed, lower fees, and different types of smart contract functions. By utilizing these features, we can provide a better user experience and offer more competitive yields.

Going multi-chain also allows us to reach a wider audience and tap into different markets. With multi-chain, we can provide users with access to more liquidity, more markets, and more opportunities to earn yield. This will help us to grow and expand our user base, and increase our reach to new communities.

One of the first steps, and as a part of our EVM initiative towards implementing support for more blockchains outside of Cardano, we are launching the MELD protocol as a Subnet on Avalanche. This Subnet will allow us to customize the network and optimize performance to our platform’s needs and that of our users.

A big benefit of building on an EVM-compatible blockchain like Avalanche is composability. The majority of liquidity is held within these EVM protocols and there can be different opportunities, such as integrations, that can open by using the same programming language that these protocols are using.
