            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>C114 In the afternoon of 6 May, the Chief Executive Officer of apples, Tim Cook, considered India as a key driver of growth in the Asia-Pacific region in the second quarter of 2023 (as of 1 April) with the exception of China and Japan, which was one of the only two areas in which the company achieved income growth.</p><p>At the financial telephone conference, he stressed India’s importance for apples, saying that the country was at a turning point in the growing middle class.</p><p>Although apples did not disclose specific data, the Bank claimed that the Indian market had created a “quarter record” in the second fiscal year.</p><p>“India is a very exciting market. It is our main focus.” He noted the expansion of the operation of apples in the country, including the opening of online shops in 2020.</p><p>Last month, it opened two first local official doors.</p><p>In other parts of Asia (Rest of Asia), apples grew by 15.3 per cent to $8.1 billion. This figure in China declined by 2.9 per cent to $17.8 billion; Japan declined by 7.1 per cent to $7.2 billion.</p><p>Cook indicated that its growth in China had accelerated since the end of the previous year, and the data on Kemal (Kantar) he cited indicated that four of the top five smart mobile phones in urban areas were apples.</p>]]></content:encoded>
