To understand potential gains (and losses) one has to do calculations in the head, on paper or with the help of computer etc.

Nowadays we have portfolio trackers and exchange apps. Sure you can see coin price changes in recent 24 hours, your investment P&L (profit and loss) and the sum in fiat. Some apps went even further. They provide some sort of TA (technical analysis) and TA-based indicators for a layperson. Like SwissBorg. See screenshot below.

Personalized maths

Beforementioned features are general guidance. What idea I have in mind is predictions, figures based on user’s personal experience.

Crypto app should have in its interface something like this:

You bought ETH for 20 EUR last month. If you invest 20 EUR monthly you will have this amount of EUR in one year provided the ETH price action is like last 12 months. So it won’t be exact prediction but it can show user how much they will make if they continue investing in their pace. It’s a rough example and there can be some variations but you get the idea.

Variation can be for example “what if we invest a bit more, not 20€ but 50€ a month in ETH”. Something like that.

I’m writing all this in simple words but this app feature should ofcourse look like a graph where user can put a finger and slide it and feel how their assumed investment grows.

This way users can imagine how things work more easily and app makers perhaps raise the time spent in the app or the amount of buys.

Hope that idea helps.

Please share it on social media and with the builders you know. @ me on Twitter so that I know what you think.
