Community

We all can be proud of growing the size of our community in the last months. More importantly, we increased the number of initiatives and overall engagement.

How to Participate?

The goal is simple: invite as many people as possible to register by April 30, 2023. Here is how to get started:

• Register your IDriss here if you have not done so yet.

• Go to the 'Rewards' section in the dashboard to get your referral link and start sharing it.

• Open the ‘Leaderboard’ section to look up your score. Each user registered through your referral link increases the count by 1.

• After the Quest ends on April 30 you will be able to claim one NFT on Galxe according to your score.

Increasing your score

There are no limitations to how you increase your score. Get your creative juices flowing and find ways to onboard new users. Here are some proven tactics:

• Messaging people in your network.

• Creating content: tweets, articles, infographics, videos, etc.

• Advocating in other web3 communities.

Don’t forget to add your referral link to all your work. People need to register through your link to increase your score.

Timeframe

Start: October 1, 2022 at 00:00:00 GMT

End: April 30, 2023 at 23:59:59 GMT

Only invites from this period will count for your Season 1 score. But don’t worry - the invites you collected before October 1 will not go to waste. We saved your well-deserved reward points, and you can look them up in the ‘Rewards’ section of the dashboard. Additionally, the invites you collect in Season 1 will count towards your total reward points.

Update: We listened to community feedback and decided to include all the invites from before October 1.

Rewards

After the end of the season we will enable minting the rewards. The NFTs have 4 rarity tiers depending on the number of invited people:

• Common: 10 invites

• Bronze: 30 invites

• Silver: 50 invites

• Gold: 100 invites

The number of required invites may seem ambitious, but let’s not forget that the Season 1 will last until April 30, 2023. There is plenty of time to figure out creative ways to onboard new users.

Users can seamlessly send native tokens and stablecoins over Polygon, Ethereum, and BSC networks. Adding support for more tokens and networks is planned for the near future. 1% of each transaction supplies IDriss treasury.

The big paradox of web3 is that it is supposed to be accessible for everyone, but it is not, at least not for regular humans. Central parts of the user experience associated with using cryptocurrency are not suited to accommodate the wave of non-crypto-native people that will be flowing into web3 in the coming decade.

For example, the crypto wallet address format (long string of numbers and letters) is impossible to use by anyone outside of the core crypto users. It's cumbersome, time-consuming, and unsafe to use.

As a result, the influx of new users to web3 will soon be limited, and existing crypto products and protocols won't be able to scale beyond their current, crypto-native userbase. Web3 will die down as a niche concept used by only a few instead of following or beating the growth curve of the internet at the turn of the century. Regular people around the world who should have equitable access to web3 won't be enjoying its benefits. Let's not let it happen.

Our Impact

Every human on Earth deserves frictionless access to crypto and the benefits coming from using it: cheap and instant transactions, improved security & privacy, and investment opportunities.

All ideas born in our heads have one common denominator: they all are human-first and contribute to the endgame we imagine - 8 billion people have a wallet address and use crypto.

Why Now?

We have a chance to use the new set of rails, which is web3, to level the financial playing field by giving everyone equal access to the benefits of crypto and decentralization.

Existing web3 products and protocols are starting to realize that to further scale, they need to "enlarge the pie" and expand beyond the crypto core users. IDriss will help them with that.

As of today, the control over IDriss is in the hands of the founding contributors. We have decided to prioritize fast execution and product-market-fit seeking in the short term. The long-term plan is to progressively become more decentralized. Taking this path was inspired by the below publication by Jesse Walden.

Community Ownership

A natural step on the path towards decentralization will be releasing an IDriss token in the future in a fair and transparent launch. Distribution of the token is essential for sharing ownership and fee stream with the community.
