In our previous weekly update, we announced our transition to becoming a full-on investment DAO that will help create multiple income-generating opportunities for our members. In both active and passive ways. So we didn’t waste any time getting started. 

As our main investment areas are NFTs and metaverse, we doubled down on adding more NFTs from proven projects with solid fundamentals and future utility. This week, we went on a shopping spree and loaded up our treasury with many NFTs and metaverse lands. 

Before we get to our NFT purchases, we wanted to remind you about the partnership we made with Dinoland, an upcoming 3D play-to-earn game. We believe this investment will prove worthy in the long-term, as the metaverse play is just getting started.

While our vision to make an impact in the P2E economy stays the same, we currently do not have the resources and manpower to scale our operations. So we want to make a transition. That not only helps us play to our strengths but also immensely benefits our genesis DAO members. 

So, from today onwards, IBC DAO is going to be a community focused on investments and expansion of passive income for its genesis members. 

A Change in Direction

IBC DAO will now mainly concentrate on finding investment plays that are not limited to the gaming/metaverse sector, but also tokens in the near future. We have a group of individuals who are big-time investors and traders. We will keep bringing exciting investment opportunities for our members, and upon their approval based on consensus, we will go forward.

As we continue to grow with our investments, we will try to expand our in-house Axie Infinity guild by allocating 10% of our funds. We believe it can become a revenue-generating system for the DAO. If we find a good exit that guarantees a great return on investment for the guild, we will explore that possibility as well. 

In terms of reward distribution, we are going to use WETH (Matic) for our current short-term positions. In the future, as the DAO expands, we will also plan to distribute tokens.

Our main goal for DAO members remains the same. We want to create as many passive investment opportunities as possible and distribute great rewards within the community. 2022 will be the year we accomplish that. So stick with us a bit longer to reap the most rewards.

Last week, we kick-started governance proposals to explore new investment options for the gaming guild and IBC DAO treasury. Also, all genesis members have now joined on the snapshot to actively participate in the voting process. 

We also added NFTs from top collections such as NFT worlds and Rumble Kongz to our treasury. We believe both are utility-based assets that will grow exponentially in the future. Currently, the community is exploring new investment ideas, and background research is going on. We will soon launch a proposal to decide based on governance. 

Another milestone in the books is guild activation. We successfully onboarded the first batch of players. We will give more clarity on the revenue allocation soon. This marks the beginning of our gaming guild. And we think it lays the foundation for our future guild operations.

We started off by creating a DAO on snapshot. This will allow genesis members to propose new investment ideas in different verticals of the gaming space. As everything we do is consensus-based, it is very important we get everyone on board with the operations and proposals. We expect all members to join snapshot and actively take part in voting. 

The next big milestone we achieved this week is the acquisition of fifty scholar players along with the required Axie pets to play the Axie Infinity P2E game. We believe this acquisition will serve as the foundation of our gaming guild. And we are pleased with the managers onboarding these new players as well. We expect to start the training sessions soon. 

From the investment proposals made on the snapshot, we decided to acquire more virtual lands and utility-based NFTs. The first land parcel we bought is from CryptoVoxels. Community members anticipate it’s going to provide great returns long-term, as it is one of the oldest metaverse projects that still didn’t get enough recognition. The size of the land acquired is 215m². 

We also invested in another gaming ecosystem called NFT worlds. We bought three lands and added them to our treasury. This was unanimously accepted, as everyone in the DAO believes it can be the backbone of open worlds in the future. Also, its ties with the Minecraft community are a big plus. 

The last investment we made this week is into an NFT project called Rumble Kongs. We are pretty bullish about this project because it offers a game-ready utility to its owners. When the basketball game is fully functional with proper tokenomics, we plan to lend these Kongs to our players.

On top of that, we managed to acquire fifty skilled Axie Infinity players who are ready to go once batch activation is confirmed. 

This week, we finalized a few essential DAO elements like website and guild structure. Before that, we want to appreciate all the community members who joined us on this ride, as our Twitter handle crossed 7,500 followers this week after launching our website. 

The first iteration of the IBC DAO website is now live. We can expect to see web3 integration and guild scholars’ dashboard in the coming weeks. 

We also finalized the guild structure of IBC DAO. We had discussions with community members, and after exploring different options, we decided to go with the SubDAO approach. We will update more on this when the whitepaper is released.

The first acquisition we’ve made as IBC DAO is a 3X3 Estate near Republic Realm in The Sandbox metaverse. We believe the metaverse sector is primed for parabolic growth, and having a unique, scarce piece of land in the treasury will immensely benefit the community members. 

We also view this purchase as a long-term hold, i.e., going to create multiple income-generating opportunities for the community. It can be in the form of rent given by advertisers or simply the high demand for rare pieces of land. 

IBC DAO is aimed to expand the P2E economy to new horizons, so we are exploring multiple investment areas such as PFP NFT collections, yield-generating NFTs, and ultimately, play-to-earn gaming projects. 

We acquired famous NFT collections this week, such as ON1 Force, Robotos, DeadFellaz, CreatureWorld, and World of Women. Also, we secured multiple NFTs from yield-generating projects such as Head Dao, Mutantcats, and Bear Deluxe. The staking has already begun, and we will update you about its performance periodically. 

Adding on to our shopping spree, we added 10 Sipherian Surge and Neko NFTs to our DAO treasury. We view it as a safe bet, as the demand is constantly rising for projects that integrate avatar-based NFTs. These characters will be deployed once our gaming guild is formed. 

Speaking about guilds, we are happy to announce IBC DAO has closed a deal to get 50 experienced Axie Infinity players. We believe this sets up the initial foundation for our community and helps create better strategies for building the guild even bigger.

IBC DAO is pleased to announce the successful end of its Crowdfunding round A, which raised a total of $500K from 50 crypto investors all around the world. The recently formed decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) will help skilled players to be a part of the play-to-earn economy by removing initial entry barriers. 

For more than a decade, we witnessed games rule players and not the other way around. Players could not own in-game assets and benefit from any utility associated with them. For example, PUBG players cannot trade their skins or outfits with other players or at a secondary marketplace. 

Thanks to blockchain technology and the emergence of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that will now change. A new, fairer business gaming model with play-to-earn is going to revolutionize the entire gaming industry. Players now get to fully own their assets and earn a consistent income playing their favorite games. 

A prime example would be Axie Infinity. It is the largest P2E game in the crypto industry, with over 1 million daily active users. And it enables players from third-world countries to earn more than $1000 every month. However, it is required by the players to have NFTs or Axies in their wallet to start playing the game. The same applies to every leading blockchain P2E game. 

Now, the majority of players cannot make the initial investment but have the skills to excel playing a particular game. This is where IBC DAO comes into the picture. Our community-led gaming guild will support players with the seed investment and enable them to earn income from various P2E games. 

We also continue to add proven NFT assets to our DAO treasury. Recently, we purchased a 3×3 virtual land parcel in the Sandbox metaverse. And we also picked up many NFTs from top collections such as DeadFellaz, ON1 Force, Creature World, and Robotos. We believe this will give DAO members exposure to some of the best-performing NFT assets.

We’re grateful to our genesis members for their contribution to our first funding round. We all share the same long-term vision to build the biggest game guild and empower players in countries like India. We will soon release our governance system, bringing us closer to the public launch, which is three months from now.
