Overview

The Omega Network was launched with the goal of making blockchain accessible to everyone through the support of cryptocurrency introduction, mining, and distribution.

Omega Network Incentivize Testnet

In preparation for the upcoming launch of Omega Mainnet, a testnet has been established to incentivize user participation and ensure a successful mainnet launch. The most active users on the testnet will be rewarded for their contributions. In this user guide, we provide easy-to-follow instructions on how to interact with the Omega Network Testnet and take advantage of its features. On the Omega Network Testnet, users can perform various functions to familiarize themselves with the platform's features. The following are some of the activities that users can do on the Omega Testnet:

1.Get testnet tokens from the faucet to start testing the network;

2.Swap your tokens, add/remove liquidity using the test-swap tool:

3.Bridge your test assets to other testnet using the test-bridge tool;

4.Review transactions on the test-explorer to track activity and verify transactions.

By performing these functions, users can gain an understanding of how the Omega Network operates and experience its functionalities before its launch on the mainnet.

1. Get testnet tokens from the faucet to start testing the network

Step 1: Download and set up MetaMask wallet in Chrome, then create or import your wallet account (ensure you're using the latest version of Chrome)

(1) Type https://metamask.io/ into your browser to visit the official MetaMask website.

(2) Click on "Install MetaMask for Chrome". This will take you to the Chrome web store.

(3) Here, click on "Add to Chrome".

(4) Once installed, click on “create a new wallet” or “import an existing wallet”, set up a password, and back up your seed phrase.

Step 2: Configure custom RPC settings for Omega Testnet

After installing MetaMask, follow the steps below to add a new network:

(1) At the top of the MetaMask window, you will see a network selection drop-down menu (it will likely display "Ethereum Mainnet" ). Click on this menu.

(2) Scroll down and click on "Add network", then “Add a network manually”, as you can see from the annotations in the image.

(3) A form will appear asking you to input details about the new network. Enter the following information:

Network name: Omega Testnet

New RPC URL: https://test-rpc.omtch.com/

Chain ID: 816

Currency symbol: OMN

Explorer: https://test-explorer.omtch.com/

(4) Once you've entered this information, click on "Save". The Omega Testnet should now be available from the network selection menu.

Step 3: Enter your wallet address and request for free test token

(1) Type https://faucet.omtch.com/ into your browser to visit the OmegaNetwork faucet website.

(2) Here, enter your wallet address to get 1 testnet $OMN. One address can only fetch 1 testnet $OMN from the faucet each day.

2. Swap your tokens, add or remove liquidity using the test-swap tool

Step 1:Swap your tokens in the OmegaNetwork Testnet

(1) Open your web browser and visit https://test-swap.omtch.com/#/swap.

(2) Connect your wallet. Click on the "Connect Wallet" button in the upper-right corner and select your wallet type. Make sure your wallet is connected to the Omega Testnet.

(3) After your wallet is connected, you'll see the swap interface. In the "From" field, select the token you want to swap from. In the "To" field, select the token you want to swap to. Enter the amount you wish to swap.

(4) Then, click on "Swap" and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain.

Step 2:Adding or Removing liquidity in the OmegaNetwork Testnet

(1) From the test swap homepage, click on "Pool" at the top of the page.

(2) Click on "Add Liquidity".

(3) Select the two tokens you want to supply to the liquidity pool.

(4) Enter the amount of the first token you want to add. The second token amount will auto-fill based on the current price to match the first token's value.

(5) Click on "Approve" for the swap interface to interact with your tokens. Then enter the amount of tokens you want to authorize in the pop-up dialog box. Only enter a number that you're comfortable with the third party spending now or in the future. 

(6) Click on "Supply" and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain.

(7) Once the transaction is confirmed, you will receive LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens that represent your share in the liquidity pool.

(8) You can also remove liquidity from the pool page. Simply select the LP token listed under Your Liquidity and specify the quantity of the LP token you wish to withdraw. Upon successful withdrawal of liquidity, the corresponding pair of underlying tokens will be returned to you.

3. Bridge your test assets to other testnet using the test-bridge tool

Step 1:Connect your wallet

(1) Visit https://test-bridge.omtch.com/mint.

(2) Click on the 'Connect Wallet' button on the top right corner to connect to wallet

Step 2:Wrap your tokens

To transfer test $OMN from Omega Testnet to other testnet, you need to wrap the token at first.

(1) Click on “Wrap $OMNs”.

(2) Enter the amount of $OMNs you want to wrap.

(3) Click on “Wrap token” to execute the transaction.

Step 3:import $wOMN token in Metamask

(1) Click on the MetaMask browser extension icon to open your MetaMask wallet.

(2) Click on the "Assets".

(3) Scroll down to the bottom and click on the "Import Token".

(4) Enter the contract address:0x01bDCf41Db44c1F92AcBbd016F56c1593aAb1258

and the symbol and decimals of precision should automatically fill in.

(5) After you've entered the token information, click "Add custom token", then "Import tokens". The $wOMN should now be listed in your MetaMask wallet.

Step 3:Bridge your test asset to other testnet

(1) Click on “Transfer” in the website.

(2) Enter the the amount of the token you want to transfer.

(3) Chose the destination network you're transferring to by Clicking “to“, for now you can choose BSC-testnet only.

(4) Submit the transaction by clicking “transfer” .

(5) enter the amount of tokens you want to authorize in the pop-up dialog box, then click “Next”. 

(6) After checking that all the details are correct, you can confirm and execute the bridge transaction by clicking “Confirm”.

4. Review your transaction on Explorer

To review the details of your transactions and track network activity, users can visit the Omega Testnet Explorer, which provides a transparent and user-friendly interface for exploring the Omega Network.

(1) Open your web browser and visit the OmegaNetwork Testnet blockchain explorer at https://testexplorer.omtch.com/.

(2) In the search bar at the top of the page, enter the address or the transaction hash you want to check.

(3) Press "Enter" or click on the magnifying glass icon to search.

(4) You will be taken to a page that displays the transaction history of the address. This page will show a list of all transactions involving that address, including the block number, age (time since transaction happened), transaction hash, and the value and token of each transaction.

IF you enter a transaction hash, you will be taken to a page that displays the details of the transaction. This page will show information such as the transaction hash, status, block, timestamp, value, and transaction fee.

At last, everything built on Testnet is only used for testing. Please do not use for real transactions.
