The main reason for the campus tour was to build the capacity of students within the web 3 ecosytem by providing them with the essentail resources that will enable them to understand and use tools.

University of Mines and Technology was where the sui train stopped. Students were taken through full insight on what blockchain was all about and going through the basics and its impact when they engage around the blockchain. This key aspect was lead by Uju the community lead for web 3 Ghana.

We had Sammuel (aka Lion) delving straight into the Sui Move language but started from the basics, so that student can understand how the move language works, he went on to explain how important the move language is and when you build on it the advantage it will provide you when you engage on the move language.

During the community engagement session, Fiatsend—a key player in the Binance ecosystem—highlighted its role in enhancing the efficiency and security of Binance P2P transactions. By reducing waiting times and preventing fraud, Fiatsend aims to revolutionize payment experiences for users in Africa.

According to the Fiatsend team, engaging with merchants, entrepreneurs, and organizers allowed them to better understand the pain points faced by users. This reinforced their vision of making stablecoin payments seamless across the continent, offering a game-changing solution for businesses and individuals alike.

With exciting developments on the horizon, the Fiatsend team is eager to go live and bring their vision to reality. The future of Web3 payments in Africa looks promising!

The participating businesses spanned various industries, including food and agro-processing, export and import, restaurants, consultancy, manufacturing, retail, and more.

During the demo, the iExchange team provided hands-on guidance, assisting each business owner in setting up their first self-custody wallet. To enhance their experience, the team also deposited stablecoins into their wallets, allowing them to interact with the technology firsthand.
