I'm a go-with-the-flow kind of person, but ironically, I enjoy creating rules while disliking following them. At 21, I'm not attending school and spend my spare time watching anime.

How did you start working at KAVE?

One of the owners of Kave Guild, Ate Karen's little brother — Oyo, whom I fondly call Yuki — referred me to his sister, who eventually hired me. They needed someone to develop their game, and I was the most readily available developer in our city, or perhaps others hadn't been discovered yet. So, I seized the opportunity to shine.

What are you working on at KAVE GUILD?

At Kave, I primarily focus on game development, whether it's in 3D, 2D, or extended reality. Additionally, I'm involved in graphic and web design as a Fullstack Developer.

What's a skill you've always wanted to learn or improve upon in your role?

Since leaving school, coding has become my life. I'm particularly interested in coding for game and web design, and in the future, I aspire to code for scientific applications.

I'm fascinated by coding simulations of physics and wish to enhance my skills in simulating physical phenomena in various scientific fields like astronomy, chemistry, and biology. I also aim to improve my skills in robotics at Kave and spearhead a new mechatronics-related field.

What's one word you would use to describe our team culture, and why?

I'd describe our team culture as "family." We're not just individuals who code and design; we're a supportive family that helps each other grow. We value everyone's thoughts and skills, and our bosses aren't just leaders but also mentors who guide us like elder siblings throughout our journey.

What interests you most about the KAVE GUILD community?

Since joining Kave Guild, I've been captivated by the innovative ideas and upcoming projects. Just hearing about them from our bosses gets my fingers itching and excited to write code. Having the freedom to contribute ideas and make decisions is one of the reasons I'm committed to Kave Guild; I feel like I'll grow tremendously here over time.

What life-changing events happened when you joined the Blockchain space and KAVE GUILD community?

I started gaining weight, actually, hehe. Joining Kave Guild made me realize I needed to eat three times a day instead of waiting for my tummy to growl.

Also, my personality changed, as I was not used to being social like this before. I have improved in terms of my social personality

Where do you see yourself professionally in the next five years?

Maybe, or frankly, I WILL BE someone who becomes what I really want to be. I see myself professionally in five years creating amazing stuff and inventing things for people to see and experience.

My goal is to make them realize that technology is not something to fear but rather something to embrace and adapt to. I envision a world where people live in harmony, using technology to simplify their lives, not to be labeled as lazy but rather as companions in life.

Where do you see KAVE GUILD in the future?

I see Kave in the future as one of the pioneers of emerging web tech education and corporate entities here in our country. Kave consists of amazing individuals and is supported by equally remarkable people. It will undoubtedly become what we aspire it to be. Hey everyone, my name is Jasper Ayawan. I'm 21 years old, single, but not available for some reasons. However, if you want to enter my life, go ahead—don't hesitate, LOL! Anyway, I am currently a 4th-year college student at Southern Mindanao Colleges, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. However, in the first semester of 2023, I decided to drop out because I need to focus on my career as a full stack developer.

I'm from Poblacion Pitogo Zamboanga del Sur, and I am currently living in General Santos City. In order to finish my study I began studying coding back in 2020 when I was 18 years old. I started with C++. At that time, I had no idea what coding was because programming was not a part of my high school curriculum. It was quite frustrating for me when I decided to major in IT in college because I lacked prior knowledge.

Then, in my second year of college, I learned to code with HTML and CSS. I began to teach myself how to create systems, not through my school's curriculum, but through research on YouTube about web development and its roadmap.

This greatly aided me in becoming a web developer and a more productive individual. Additionally, I enrolled in online courses through platforms like FreeCodeCamp, Udemy, and Kodego. After a few months, I started developing simple projects based on what I had learned from YouTube and other platforms. There were moments when I almost gave up on coding because I faced multiple rejections when applying to various companies. They often preferred candidates with a graduate degree in IT or a related field.

Unexpectedly, I was eventually hired by a company called "Kave Guild." I was overwhelmed with joy that day, and I felt like my heart might explode. LOL!

How did you start working at KAVE?

I started working on Kave Guild when I saw a post from someone looking for a junior web developer position. I didn't hesitate to apply because it was my dream to become a web developer.

I wasn't expecting to get hired for that position since I knew that most companies prefer candidates with a graduate degree in IT. I was very lucky and thankful because, even though I didn't have any experience in the field, they still considered my application.

What are you working on at KAVE?

I am currently employed as a full-stack developer. In this role, I am responsible for both front-end and back-end development tasks. 

On the front-end, I focus on creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Meanwhile, on the back-end, I work with databases, server-side scripting, and APIs to ensure the functionality and performance of our web applications.

What's a skill you've always wanted to learn or improve upon in your role?

In my free time, I enjoy reading motivational books to stay motivated every single day, watching anime and drawing.

Additionally, I'm studying Korean and Japanese, and I've even created a note-keeping app to help organize and easily access my study notes for these languages. It also aids me in remembering what I've recently studied. I also listen to music when I want to relax. I don't socialize much because I don't have many friends; I'm more of a homebody.

I have quite a lot of passion for basketball that I even dreamed of being like “Kyrie”. Yeah, I’m a dreamer as well! I love music and visual arts. I love cats.

And I guess I like switches because I love computers. You got that? Switches, computers, ehh? Oh, and I love mobile games as well! Sometimes I wonder how God designed the world. By observing the beauty of it, I wonder how it made me fulfilled that it led me to enjoy photography.

Well, I guess I am happy with what I have while in pursuit of what I want. Most of all, I am someone who desires to be the best version of myself. Why? An old man once said, “Son, always remember, your success is found in your daily routine.” Hey, I desire to be that old man and that is the reason why.

How did you get involved in the blockchain space?

Even before I became involved in the blockchain space, I was already interested in stocks and Forex trading. I love the idea of making money using statistics and programming, and found these fields to be both challenging and rewarding. Eventually, I became exposed to the world of cryptocurrency (which was founded in mathematics). When I first learned about blockchain technology, I was absolutely amazed - part of it was because of the word “technology”. The idea of "decentralization" and how it works is interesting to me. From that moment on, I decided to set my sail, take the map, and navigate this field I am excited about.

How did you start working at KAVE GUILD?

My girlfriend happened to be a member of the community, and she knew about my interest in the blockchain space.

She thought that the community would be a great resource for me to learn more about blockchain technologies and its applications, so she introduced me to the group, and I was immediately impressed by the level of knowledge and expertise among its members. From there, I started attending community calls and engaging with other members - an incredibly invaluable experience!

What are you working on at KAVE GUILD?

Had it not been because of the opportunity the team had given me, it would seem impossible for me to be part of this ever growing family. With the designation Research Leads entrusted to me, I found gratitude for the people behind the guild’s success of which I cannot even quantify myself. That indeed is its purpose. And I’m gladly honored to be part of its purpose. My position inspires me to generate data and information that is significant to the team’s endeavor. It is vital that the data provided excludes prejudice and far from incorporation of emotional bias. That is why I sometimes choose to be slow but accurate because I believe that big goals are achieved by small steps.

How do you see KAVE GUILD in the future?

Imagine an oasis in a vast desert, a fertile spot where water is found. This is my vision to Kave Guild in the next 5 years. I see a large and strong community continuously growing - evolving. Driven by innovation, I see Kave to be the number one source of go-to places for students desiring to top, up to entrepreneurs dreaming to succeed. I envision a thriving community that is diverse and inclusive where people from different backgrounds and disciplines collaborate and discuss ideas to create projects meaningful to the team and/or significant to the local communities. Overall, I am excited about the potential of Kave Guild and the positive impact it can have on society.

Do you think blockchain is the future?

Morihei Ueshiba believed that the economy serves as the foundation of a society, where stability leads to development. Don Tapscott's quote, "The blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions," further supports this idea. Blockchain technology provides transparency, security, and efficiency, creating stability and ensuring longevity. If that is not the future, I don't know what is.

Who is Jerald 5 years from now?

I envision myself as a successful team player in Kave Guild. Five years from now, I am part of the team who builds a long-lasting positive impact in the community.  Dirty tired hands from hard work, torn shoes and faded jeans, I help the team solve real-world problems. On a personal level, I aim to have a strong and supportive network of friends and family, with whom I can share my successes and challenges. Overall, I see myself as someone who is happy, fulfilled, and living a purpose-driven life.

For the past few years, I would often find myself spending hours on the computer, indulging in online gaming. I can say that I am  less experienced and have a different perspective or goals in life. Recently, I've been reading books, watching true stories about legendary athletes and their journey on and off the court, and learning about their experiences, struggles, and achievements. Aside from that, I joined the KAVE GUILD COMMUNITY and not only it allowed me to work and have connections, it also made me learn and focus on expanding my knowledge on crypto.

How did you get involved in the blockchain space?

As I have mentioned, I am less experienced when it comes to blockchain or crypto but with the support of KAVE GUILD, I was introduced to blockchain space. KAVE GUILD provided me with the motivation and knowledge to actively participate in the blockchain space. I am now under the process of expanding my knowledge about the blockchain space. In addition, joining the blockchain space and KAVE community has helped me develop a growth-mindset. I have learned to adapt to changes and technology.

How did you start working at KAVE GUILD?

With the help of social media, I saw a post from the founders of KAVE and from friends who knew about the KAVE Guild community. I then became interested in joining the community. Not only that it helps expand our knowledge about the crypto world, it also allowed me to build new connections and allowed me to earn while learning.

What are you working on at KAVE GUILD?

I am a writer in the news section of KAVE GUILD. I mostly read about current updates about blockchain, crypto and the such. I also write articles and news that are assigned to me. I’m doing my best with this writing job and as I have mentioned, I am working on my niche that could also help the Kave Guild community.

How do you see KAVE GUILD in the future?

I would anticipate KAVE Guild 5 years from now, it has established itself as a recognized, trusted and respected entity within the crypto/blockchain space and has gained a lot of recognition. I would not doubt that this community would grow massively because I see a potential in this hardworking community.

Do you think blockchain is the future?

Yes. I firmly believe that it would be the future we are looking forward to. By automating tasks and reducing the need for intermediaries, which can result in cost savings and increased efficiency in transactions. Without blockchain people would likely continue to rely on traditional systems, which would get us stuck in time.

What do you do in your free time?

As a fur parent, I like to spend my free time with my cute furry cats. I also give time to being with my family from time to time and I also participate in managing the family business.

I am Jaymark Marquez, but many people know me by my nickname, Jayjay, or my made-up nickname, Jm (which is the one I prefer).

I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science from the University of the People, an online university based in California, which has provided me with an amazing scholarship opportunity.

I am currently living in General Santos City, though it is worth mentioning that I was born in Cebu City, but my family had to move to Mindanao when I was young due to some unforeseen circumstances.

Despite this, I have always tried to make the most of my life and education, constantly striving to improve my skills and knowledge in various fields.

As a passionate learner, I have a deep interest in both web development and artificial intelligence. I also developed a hobby of playing musical instruments, which I mostly taught myself. It's a great way to relax and unwind after a long day of studying and coding.

How did you start working at KAVE?

I started working on Kave Guild when I applied for a junior developer position. I was not expecting to be accepted given that I have no projects to present and have little experience with the framework they are asking for, but thankfully they considered it.

Ultimately, the main reason I have been working at KAVE until now is their desire to pursue growth and development for everyone in the team and outside of it, not only in terms of skills but also in social and personal development, which is the perfect balance of a work environment for me.

What are you working on at KAVE?

I am mainly working as a front-end developer that creates a concept-based and professional-looking designs for website projects, I will also be working on the back end when necessary.

This is a perfect setup for me because I usually prefer to work on a skill one at a time to ensure that I effectively and efficiently improve myself on it and produce high-quality and substantial endeavors, though I could accept other responsibilities from the team if I want to.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to either practice musical instruments or finish some personal programming projects to put on my portfolio.

I try to be productive as much as possible by doing things I like that also improve my skills; this is to protect my learning motivation and prevent burnout.

If either of these things is not possible at the moment, I try to learn Korean or Japanese from notes and eBooks I have.

I also watched game development vlogs or van life vlogs on YouTube for entertainment; this is what I do if I just want to relax.

How do you find working with the KAVE TEAM?

During my first month at Kave, I was immediately amazed by the positive energy and collaborative atmosphere of the working environment.

The team was highly motivated and supportive, with a great vision and a profound mission of education, and the office was designed with a focus on comfort and productivity.

Despite the time constraints of the projects to be worked on, there was always time for laughter.

It has opened my mind about crypto, Web3, and blockchain and given me a new perspective on the significance of collaboration.

Overall, my experience at Kave has been nothing short of inspiring, and I am excited to continue growing and learning within such a dynamic community.

What life-changing events happened when you joined the blockchain space and the KAVE GUILD community?

Since I am still new to the community, the only life-changing event that has happened yet is the Binance meetup held in Davao City. It is life-changing because it allows me to know more about the members of the team and discover how inspirational the community is, it gave me the necessary initial knowledge to understand blockchain, crypto, and web3 which causes motivation to know more and to improve.

I have also explored unfamiliar activities and experiences that I had not previously attempted which allowed me to broaden my perspective and gain a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me, especially in the blockchain space.

What interests you most about the KAVE GUILD community?

One thing that interests me the most about the Kave Guild is the intention to educate people for free and the vision to make a significant contribution to the community.

It is a very beginner-friendly and proactive community with the objective of fostering a sense of collaboration and sharing knowledge among members about crypto, blockchain, and Web3.

In addition to occasional meetups and events, there are many resources available for learning and development that they publish through their various websites and social media, which is very convenient for anyone interested in learning.

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

I am a successful software developer with a strong focus on web development and artificial intelligence, I have completed my degree and gained valuable experience through various internships and projects.

I have contributed to open-source communities and made a positive impact on the world through my work.

And I do hope to have continued to learn and grow with the community, sharing my knowledge and contributing to its mission of education and collaboration.

My real name is Cherryl, but depending on the group of friends, I went by several nicknames. 

I was raised and born in one of Kiamba Sarangani's most beautiful barangays, and I later moved to the Tuna Capital of the Philippines to finish my senior year of high school.  

I pursued a BS in Information Technology at that time because I wanted to get interested in computers. 

How did you start working at KAVE?

I started my journey at Kave Guild in January 2022, after leaving my corporate job of almost five years of service. Making the decision to switch careers at my age was daunting, but when opportunity knocks, you must seize it.  

As they say, 'The only way to do great work is to love what you do.' Moving to Kave Guild was a significant change, and I realized that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  

While adjusting to the differences at Kave Guild, I had a burning desire to grow and expand.  

To answer the question "How did you start working at KAVE?" I replied, "I followed my heart to join Kave Guild after realizing that they are providing an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime.  

I believe that their mission will impact not only my life but also those who are yet to experience what new technology can offer." 

What are you working on at KAVE?

As the Chief Operating Officer at Kave Guild, my responsibilities are to oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, which typically involves managing teams across multiple functions and ensuring that they are working towards common objectives.  

At Kave Guild, it is crucial to maintain transparency in all aspects of our work, which is why I am also involved in UI/UX design, front-end programming, and social media management.  

Overall, my goal is to ensure that Kave Guild continues to grow and succeed while maintaining the highest standards of quality and transparency. 

What do you like to do in your free time?

I have numerous interests. I frequently participate in sports. I played badminton, volleyball, and judo karate when I was younger. 

However, ever since I was a child, performing has been what I've done most often. Join a team and develop my dancing skills. 

How do you find working with the KAVE TEAM?

One of my good friends, who happens to be the founder of Kave Guild, recently reached out to me with a job opportunity. I'm currently working at one of the big malls in our city, but I'm excited to take on this extra side job as well! 

Then, as time passes, I have a strong desire to pursue a career in information technology at a new company that pays well and has senior employees who will inspire you to succeed in life.  

So, I made the decision that it was time to truly hone my IT skills and started learning, but the huge perk would be the ability to work from home. 

What life changing events happened when you joined Blockchain space and KAVE GUILD community?

Joining this space and community has ignited a passion for learning and exploring new things within me.  

Learning from experienced professionals and diving deeper into the world of blockchain has been an eye-opening experience. 

I also noted that being a part of this community improved my communication skills, as I was initially hesitant to engage with those who were more experienced in the field.  

However, the Kave Guild community provided me with a supportive environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and learning from others.  

One significant impact of this community was the strong sense of collaboration and support among like-minded individuals. As I continue to learn and grow, I am grateful for the knowledge and opportunities that the Blockchain space and Kave Guild community have provided me. 

What interests you most about the KAVE GUILD community?

I'd like to imagine that in five years I'll become a UI/UX Designer, Project Manager and Front-End Developer, share my knowledge, and continue to teach others what I've learned. 

Additionally, speaking engagements abroad, whether in the Philippines or at a foreign event would be wonderful. 

Where do you see KAVE GUILD in the future?

I believe Kave Guild has a great deal of promise in this field. With a lot of help and people who are eager to help even though it's free.  

Kave Guild will fulfill the purpose for which this community was founded. This is intended to inform Filipinos that there is no such thing as easy money in life, hence studying is the key to success in this profession.
