To win a gas war, here are the steps to follow:

A. Stage 1: Preparation

1. Open the drop website on your browser tab.

2. Find and open the drop’s contract on Etherscan.com on another tab in the browser.

3. Open http://gasnow.org on another tab in the browser.

B. Stage 2: Transaction process (NFT Minting as an example)

1. Try to mint the transaction from the website normally, enter an amount to mint and hit mint.

2. Metamask comes up, Hit “Edit” next to the estimated gas.

3. Click advanced options.

4. Enter the figure you see as Rapid on http://gasnow.org into both boxes (i usually do 100-300 higher just to be safe).

5. Check on gasnow.org, if the “Rapid” fee increases much higher than what you put, go into your pending tx on Metamask and speed up to the new Rapid fee same steps as above.

6. Give it a few seconds to a min and your tx should be confirmed.
