In the present day you can’t read the news or scroll down socials without seeing numerous mentions of BTC or ETH… but as I’m sure anyone reading this post will be aware, we have hardly scratched the surface of potential. We are now moving beyond simple capital storage towards productive assets.

The tech world is ablaze with an inferno of decentralization: DeFi, web3, NFTs, DAOs to name but a few. The impacts of these disruptive technologies are yet to be fully realized, but hold the potential stimulate a paradigm-shift across all industries.

I want to focus in on the healthcare industry in particularly - think everything from early stage research to patients in hospitals - and how the future of technology may impact them. Big players are beginning to dip their toes into blockchain technologies for data management, but this is just that - the beginning.

Through this site, I want to document and analyze these applications as they emerge, shine a spotlight on both the success stories and the failures, the innovations and the cash-grabs. As we grow, I hope to shed light on other interesting start-ups within the overlapping tech and healthcare industries that are driving the high-tech revolution. We’re at the start of a very exciting chapter, both for society and the healthcare industry, I’m just happy to be along for the ride!

I come from a pharmaceutical research environment, but am a newcomer to the decentralized world. That said, I am not blind to its potential. Hopefully we can educate one another and learn more about the ways our worlds overlap to improve human lives on this planet.

Watch this space!
