SBF got arrested so miracles do happen, let's hope! Sharing some POVs and info I've found Jon Lai is a General Partner at a16z and a cofounder of their Games Fund. He's got a few interesting takes. His main thesis is that AI will greatly reduce game dev time. Seems logical Seedify, an incubator and launchpad for web3 gaming, argues: "In spaces like #web3gaming, where game production speed and resourcefulness really matter, AI solutions will help a ton. It also will provide more ability to indies to compete with AAA studios in terms of quality." ^ Now this 2nd point about the "indies" is fascinating. If we have any indie game studios on here, it'd be cool to get your POV I also wonder if AI could give web3 gaming the final push for PMF. Certainly will be keeping an eye. Now I wanna ask you this, especially the ones who dislike AI. If you had $50k to invest, in which studio would you invest?

VCs aren’t operators, and Founders should not expect them to get actively involved in their business.

✅They are:

  • door openers

  • soundboards

  • cash providers

  • blind spot identifiers

  • silent partners

Your company is your responsibility. Don’t assume that once you get funding (in the highly unlikely chance you will), everything is resolved. Funded founders need to understand that, and understand how decisions are made in their newly-funded venture. When any founder taking in outside money, they are making a decision about who is going to have influence over the big decisions this company makes.

EVERYTHING CHANGES WHEN YOU TAKE OUTSIDE CASH.
