You can multiply Wrapped ōCash by putting it to work, depositing it into a cycle of three interconnected reward tokens, $GROW, $STACK, and $BURN. Each reward token provides different decentralized financial services.

All You Need To Know Is “createEvent”

The createEvent function in the provided Solidity code is designed for NFT communities to create and manage events within a decentralized application. This functionality can be particularly useful for NFT communities that want to host events, competitions, or other types of gatherings where participants can engage in various activities and earn rewards.

Imagine an NFT community that focuses on virtual boat racing. The community's organizer wants to create an event called "BoatRace2023" with specific coordinates, a probability of 50%, a power reward of 100, a total supply of 1000 rewards, and an ERC20 token for rewards. The organizer would call the createEvent function with the following parameters:

This would create an event called "BoatRace2023" starting at block 1000000 and ending at block 1005000, with coordinates ranging from (0, 0) to (999, 999), a probability of 50%, a power reward of 100, a total supply of 1000 rewards, and using the specified ERC20 token as rewards. The event is gated by the specified token gate contract. Now, only members who also own their BoatRace NFT can participate in the event and you could use things like the eventPowerScore to power the limit.

Example 2: Artist NFT Community

Suppose there is an artist who wants to create an event using this contract, where participants will have a chance to win a limited edition NFT. They would follow these steps:

1. Deploy their version of the ERC1155-E smart contract, which includes the “reward” function required to incentives players.

2. Call the createEvent function to create an event with the desired parameters. This creates an event called "Limited Edition NFT Event" that starts in 1000 blocks, ends in 5000 blocks, and targets squares within x: 100-200 and y: 100-200. Participants have a 10% chance of winning a reward, and the power reward is 50. There are only ten rewards available, and the event is associated with a reward contract and a token gate contract.

3. Any NFT community can participate in the event by owning a boat or joining a swamp boat using the joinSwampBoat function. They can perform actions like "fishing" or "farting" to increase their boat's power score.

4. Once the event is active, users can move their boats within the grid to reach the target square.

5. If a user reaches the target square, they have a 10% chance of receiving one of the limited edition NFTs as a reward.

6. The artist can create other events with different rewards, probabilities, and conditions. They could also use the SwampBoat smart contract to create an event where users are awarded other tokens, like ERC20 or ERC1155 tokens, for participating in the game or reaching specific squares on the grid.

And that’s it your event will show up on the global feed at the https://swamp.overline.network.

Example 3: “PowerEvent” - A Survival Game

PowerEvent is a game where players own digital assets, represented by Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), which have an associated "Power Score." The Power Score determines the strength of the NFT within the game. The game consists of events, during which NFTs compete against each other based on their Power Scores. The NFTs are tied to match Swamp Boat NFT tokenIDs, essentially meaning you can never get your PowerEvent NFT back for your matching Swamp Boat if it is lost. Here's a high-level overview of how the PowerEvent game works:

1. NFT Creation and Ownership: Players acquire unique digital assets, such as characters or items, in the form of NFTs. Each NFT has an associated Power Score, which is a numerical value representing its strength in the game.

2. Game Events: The game organizes events where players can participate using their NFTs. These events can be battles, races, or any other form of competition where NFTs can face off against each other.

3. Power Score Comparison: During an event, the Power Scores of participating NFTs are compared to determine the outcome. The higher the Power Score, the more likely an NFT is to win the event.

4. Event Outcome: Based on the comparison of Power Scores, winners and losers are determined for each event. Winners may be rewarded with in-game prizes, increased Power Scores, or other benefits.

5. Power Score Adjustments: The Power Score of an NFT can change over time due to various factors such as winning or losing events, upgrades, or other game mechanics. Players can strategize to increase the Power Scores of their NFTs to improve their chances of winning future events.

6. Burning Mechanism: In some cases, if an NFT's Power Score falls below a certain threshold or if it loses a particular event, it might be "burned," meaning it's removed from the game permanently. This mechanic adds an element of risk and strategy to the game, as players must weigh the potential rewards against the risk of losing their NFTs.

To create PowerEvent, we'll create an interface for the Swamp contract, and then use that interface in a PowerEvent contract to interact with the Swamp contract.

3. In this example, the PowerEvent contract interacts with the Swamp contract through the ISwamp interface. This enables the contract to call the ownerOf and burn functions from the Swamp contract, without having to inherit from it directly.

Note: this example requires the Swamp contract to be given full approval for the management of the Boat which is a separate call the user would have to make.

Advanced: The Swamp GAS Hacks

The Swamp introduces a break through method to conserve gas costs when driving the boat, fishing or farting. Creating leaderboards or mini-games related to the accrual of these elements have significant advantages and could be sold to members of the community looking to play more in the Swamp. Furthermore, the game can be played simply be sending Ethereum (in units of WEI) to the Swamp Contract.

The SwampBoat contract's move function reads Wei amounts sent to the contract to perform actions such as moving the boat, fishing, and farting, which saves gas costs compared to executing these actions through separate function calls.

The contract has a receive function which is executed when Ether is sent to the contract without data. It requires that the sent Ether value (msg.value) is greater than 0. It then calculates the nftTokenId and action using the msg.value:

1. action is calculated by taking the modulo of msg.value by 10.

2. nftTokenId is calculated by subtracting the action from msg.value.

The contract then checks if the given nftTokenId exists and if the sender is either the owner of the NFT or holds the matching ERC1155 token.

Based on the action value, the contract determines which action to perform:

• If action is between 1 and 8, the move function is called with the nftTokenId and the direction as arguments.

• If action is 9, the fish function is called with the nftTokenId as the argument.

• If action is 0, the fart function is called with the nftTokenId as the argument.

By encoding the action and NFT token ID within the Ether value sent to the contract, the move function can save on gas costs as it eliminates the need for separate function calls for each action. This method is efficient for simple actions that don't require additional input parameters, and it leverages the already-required Ether transfer to encode the necessary information.

Advanced: Setting a URI for advanced gameplay.

Built in to the Swamp Event is a URI which adopts the standard ERC721 URI standard to add complex media, scores, and social functions to your event.

Since the URI can be changed at end time even retroactively we expect two major use cases:

1. Dynamic content updates: Your game can use the setEventURI function to periodically update the URI for an event with new content, such as new levels, challenges, or game modes. This would keep the game fresh and exciting for players and encourage them to return regularly to see what's new.

2. Cross-game collaboration: Your game could collaborate with other Swamp games or platforms by connecting to their event URIs. This would enable players to participate in special cross-game events or challenges, with the possibility of earning unique rewards or NFTs that can be used in both games.

Advanced: Understanding the geospatial functionality of the Swamp.

The EventCoordinates struct is a data structure used to store the spatial and temporal properties of an event occurring within the SwampBoat smart contract. This struct holds the following attributes:

1. startBlock: The block number at which the event begins.

2. endBlock: The block number at which the event ends.

3. xStart: The starting x-coordinate of the event area.

4. xEnd: The ending x-coordinate of the event area.

5. yStart: The starting y-coordinate of the event area.

6. yEnd: The ending y-coordinate of the event area.

The EventCoordinates struct is used to define the boundaries of an event, both in terms of time (block numbers) and space (x and y coordinates). This information is crucial for determining if a boat is within the event area during the event duration. By checking whether a boat's current x and y coordinates fall within the xStart to xEnd range and yStart to yEnd range, it's possible to verify its presence within the event area.

Boats move through the swamp by utilizing functions such as eatMushroom. This function assigns new random x and y coordinates to the boat within the defined grid size. The _randomPosition function is used to generate a random number within the grid size using the boat's tokenId and the current block timestamp as input parameters. The movement is not directly related to the EventCoordinates struct, but it affects the boat's position, which is then checked against the event boundaries to determine if it is participating in an event.

How much is your land worth?

Later this week Overline is releasing land rarity to help you figure out what rarity score your got for your individual ōLand plots. The rarity will be seen as one of three colored cubes: Red, Green, and Yellow.

There are several factors that go into a land’s rarity including real-word population, distance to important infrastructure in ōLand, and even real world water on the land.

How do I buy or sell rare land? You need Auction Packs.

Boosters live in sets of three in “Auction Packs”. Pour a magic Booster, Super-Booster or Ultra-Booster digital collectible onto your land to use the new Boosted Auctions. Do I have to buy Auction Packs?

No, Auction Packs are an NFT that contain 3 NFTs when opened. 500 were found by ōFriends who got on the rocket and the rest will be hidden in next week’s community-wide “UFO” event. Based on current ōCash volume Auction Packs are worth an estimated $16,000,000+ in total.

What if I don’t have boosted land?

You are still able to auction your land, just using the main public auction.

Can I boost upgrades?

No, upgrades will remain in the public auction track you are used to now. The ability to summon ōFriends via ōTreats will end soon after Boosted Auctions start, which means upgrades are going away. Rarity is good!

Am I hurting my magical “Booster” when I boost my land?

No, in fact when you apply one to the land it changes form to a “builder” useful in the final auction stage three. Build on!

Tribes 🛖

ōFriend’s are free to those who find them in ōLand. They are summoned to your ōLand whenever you place an ōTreat, building upgrades on your land as a “thank you” for the delicious snack. If you are very lucky, an ōFriend may decide to stay.

As the ōFriends go on various missions, they teach their owners how to become expert participants in the world of blockchains, ōLand, and beyond.

Every ōFriend is born into one of six “treat tribes”, while their rank may change in the tribe the ōFriend is permanently accepted to that tribe forever.

The winners of these competitions are those who give the most licks and the rewards have a direct impact on the ‘power’ of the winners.

A great way to get started is to simply click the #collabland-join channel in our Discord, click "Let's go", and then follow the instructions. If you have an ōFriend but aren’t already in the ōFriend holders room, this will let you in there as well. If you are already in the room, this will check to see which Treat Tribe your ōFriend belongs to and will let you into that group’s chat room. Trust me, you’ll probably want to coordinate with each other.

My dog is space walking.

Congratulations you are the focus of this entire mission! Your dog is going to get a ton of “power”. He is also safe from the stowaway, for now. As dogs back on earth (or on the rocket) lick you, they give you 10x more power than any other time oFriends. Only astronaut pups can ever space walk and so their ability to accrue power like this makes them very valuable. Don’t worry he can’t stay out there long, we need him or her back and mission control.

Dogs back on earth will have to go to mission control soon, which is an adventure in itself as they will have to use a wormhole to visit an entirely different universe on an entirely different chain.

Licks 👅

Give Power (without spending it) by Licks.

Licking is an ultra-cheap way (cheaper than sending an ERC20!) for ōFriends to support each-other.

Licks are all about giving and, depending on your pup, sometimes the licks are very powerful and award even more power to those getting licked.

Power is scarce.

You can ONLY get power by being licked by another ōFriend. Only a unique lick gives you power meaning you cannot get power by being licked from the same ōFriend multiple times. Since there are a minimal number of ōFriends, the power you collect (and how you use it) is scarce.

How do I use power?

Power charges your ōFriend’s power bar at the top of your ōFriend’s card. Some have only a little power left, some are almost full. You can use a fully charged ōFriend to protect your land during land combines and help you craft potions and build vehicles faster.

I was licked! What do I use the power for?

The power will be convertible to charge your ōFriend’s power bar. This is used all across ōLand but one of the biggest use cases is when building lands to get to higher levels.

How can I lick?

If you want to use it right now use https://etherscan.io/address/0x84c3d6f517fa1a3a627dc894b9fea05db9f0cbb3#writeContract#F7 on the ōFriend contract, but on March 20th Overline will enable the user interface for licking for those of you who want to use the website and not interact with the contract.

Every lick is stored on-chain and in order. For example, the first ōFriend to lick a contract or a specific NFT in that contract is stored permanently on the Ethereum blockchain. In this way, each ōFriend lick represents a time chain similar to that proposed by the Ordinal Protocol for Bitcoin. Ownership of the specific ōFriend represents provenance for all licks signed by that ōFriend which make for very interesting and useful games in the future.

Do licks drain my power? NO!

NO! Licks only give power to whoever is getting licked. These are infinite licks!

Is power oCash?

No power is rechargeable and only a max amount can be used. It’s an in-game currency for ōFriends.

How powerful is my lick?

There are dozens of factors to look into--remember it’s all about how powerful your lick is for the person receiving it. The power is a costless gift (except gas) to whoever you lick!

1. Licking dogs on spacewalks is much more valuable than licking dogs on Earth. HOWEVER, you cannot lick while you are spacewalking.

2. You also cannot lick while your dog is in Mission Control.

3. If you are the first dog to lick a spacewalking dog, you get a ton of points.

4. If you are a Galaxy (1000% booster), Super (500% booster), Primal (166% booster), you have a ridiculously powerful lick.

5. Holographic and Immortal ōFriends have a very unique way of increasing all power. Holographic (x1.2) and Immortal (x1.1). So if you had a bonus for the spacewalk of 1000 power, if you were a holographic your licks would give 1200 power (+200).

6. If you are a Dragon or Unicorn you give changing but power licks AND you give whoever you licked a collectible lick.

7. Licking the same members of your team gives you a big added boost!

8. The longer the dog walks without being licked the bigger the reward but your team may not be the one who gets the reward.

Boosts Matter

Some oFriends have power boosts, these are deeply integrated in the ōLand universe. The most important boost for licking is “Explorer”. If your dog has this boost you can find it on your dog’s profile or you can look at all explorers here.

ōFriend Attributes Matter

Any dog with Laser Beam Eyes has an incredible gift. If they lick other NFT contracts outside of the ōFriends, they can recharge their own power. They are the only ōFriends capable of doing this.

If you are a dog with any of the below items you have Rocket Lab expertise, so this means you receive more power when other dogs lick you. This goes extra for spacewalking dogs with space or cyborg equipment.

Lick whoever you want. Licks are all about the community supporting itself and whoever they believe in. Powerful dogs can give hugely powerful rewards so catching their eye with great contributions will hopefully get you licks.

The Treat Tribe Competition 🛖

As of this writing first place is Shredded Cranberry Goat, however the leaderboard will be up very later this week and the results will surely be different.

Tribes compete to give away the most licks, so the most generous tribe is the one awarding the most members. After you lick someone you can't lick them again and there are extra points for dogs that have never been licked so plan out how your tribe can best give the most licks if your tribe wants to win.

Unlike Tweet-To-Earn, licks are on Ethereum so every lick has already counted to the score of your tribe. The public leaderboard summarizing the scores for the tribes will be released the week of March 12th.

Lick Collections

Every dog can collect licks from ultra-rare and rare types of ōFriends. These licks show you have attracted the attention of a rare ōFriend and will be particularly useful in the future. Ultra-rare licks being from Galaxies, Dragons, Unicorns, Supers, and Primals. The lick book will be enabled after Mission 1, Part 2 is complete and the stowaway has been discovered.

On October 24th, 2022 you can place one or more oTreats on your ōLand and you get a prize that upgrades your land. You can do it on every plot of land you have multiple times. You have to wait 7 days to see what you got unless you place multiple ōTreats to speed it up. 

There are dozens of prizes but the most valuable is called an ōFriend and ōFriends lovvvvvve treats. Beyond being “cool”, “hot”, and “OMG cute” an ōFriend is the world’s first “Royalty PFP” (RPFP)  which means it automatically earns a portion of trading volumes across the entire platform. 

You see the biggest earners in the ecosystem is not the metaverse but the exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, and FTX. Even Yuga, which created the Bored Ape Yacht Club, earns most of their value through trading. If they converted the monkeys to an RPFP (like our ōFriends) each ape owner would get an additional $2000+ A MONTH.
