The real literary education does not read many books and know some literary theories and historical facts, but in the cultivation of pure interest. I have a bad temper in my life. Every time I go to the market, I want to buy something. I cannot keep the last penny in my purse, no matter how worthless a piece of iron or copper may be, so long as I am pleased with it. The same is true for me in learning. Leaving Shelley one day to watch the smoke drum and measure reaction, leaving Plato the next to trace the origins of the "Gothic" cathedrals in the dark and winding tombs of ancient Rome. I have been a student for thirty years, the thirty years of time is so east to play a punch west to kick the past. Under the modern social system and the state of learning, the existence of encyclopedic scholars is no longer possible, and one must choose one of many equally interesting paths. This has become the unwritten constitution of the academic world, so the first time the scholars meet, there are some pleasantry, "Which subject do you study?" "Liberal arts." 'Which one? "Literature." If the questioner also studies literature, then "Which country's literature? Which aspect? Which era? Which author?" And then the questions began to creep in. I have been repeatedly questioned in this manner, and though I have answered as usual, I have always felt a little ashamed. Why am I a literary scholar? Let alone which aspect and which era of literature? Among the many mispaths, I also stumbled upon the path of literature, which was quite a laugh. My determination to study literature is entirely due to a misunderstanding of the meaning of the word. Among the little intellectuals I came into contact with as a child, the word "literature study" had only two popular meanings: one had written a few poems, published a few articles, and even translated a few of Aesop's fables or Andersen's fairy tales. Secondly, it is also "studying literature" to hum poems and read articles, or to read novels. When I was young, I was also happy to hum poetry, reading articles, think that poetry published articles solid dare not look at the dust, if the cloud hum poetry reading text that study literature, then I also dare to let more? That's a big reason I got into literature. Who knows the mere meaning of the misinterpretation of my time! After I went to Europe and saw the work of Western "literature researchers" and all their preparations, I understood the metaphor of Zhuangzi sighing as he looked across the ocean, and I realized that "literature research" is not as easy as I had thought, especially not as interesting as I had thought. Literature is not a straight road to the horizon, you can go straight ahead, you can come to the extreme. "The study of literature" also requires many detours and many dry and hard work. If you have learned English, you have learned French; if you have learned French, you have learned German, Greek, Italian, Indian, and so on; The context of The Times often draws you into the realm of historical philosophy and religion; The principles of art force you to study pictures, music, aesthetics, psychology, and so on. There is no way to settle this lawsuit! Friends who study science often envy the happiness of literary scholars who can sing poems and read novels at leisure every day, unlike themselves who have to bury themselves in memorizing dry formulas and searching dry facts. In fact, I have a bitter heart can not say, if I had known that the "study of literature" would have to run here and there, regret it is better to learn a craft, for the future self-reliance. I still keep in mind the idea of learning to make children's toys or rattan weaves. Learn to do children's toys or rattan ware, I can still hum poetry read articles, but meet the general people for "literature" who "specialized in what?" The problem can be rightly brushed aside. What a relief it was! My remarks do not mean to be rude to many people who are preparing for doctoral dissertations in foreign universities, but to the ordinary young people in China. Young people are bound to have a penchant for literature and art like me, and in the modern Chinese style of learning, they may not be bound to "study literature" by humming poetry and reading articles like me. If, like me, they misinterpret the meaning of a word and go astray, they will certainly regret it one day. Literature and art, like history and philosophy, are like pyramids, which need to lay a very broad and cumbersome foundation before they can gradually build up a spire. If you start with the intention of creating a spire, the result will be collapse. For half a century, Chinese scholars have been in contact with Western literary and artistic thought and politics and religion, but they remain estranged from each other. The reason must be attributed to the fact that they only look to the pinnacle rather than the foundation. In literature, art, philosophy, and history, the terms "specialty" and "research work" are hardly words in today's China. This is just a warning from already-losers to future winners. If you are not committed to the basic work, hum poetry reading articles can be, casually pretentious poetry published a few articles can also, just don't "study literature". Like I spent twenty or thirty years of time to go back to learn rattan rattan do children's toys, you say it is not unfair!

But grandmother, how did you know I wasn't well?" Seeing this, I immediately imagined several responses my grandmother might give, such as, "You get to know when you're old," or "Of course Grandma knows." My hasty guess turned out to be completely off the mark. "Well, sicker people find sick people," she said, smoothing her little grandson's messy bangs. People who have been injured always know better the depth, width and pain of the wound. So when someone else sees a similar scar on their body or heart, the injured person is more likely to empathize with it. Those scars in the heart gave them a pair of eyes to see the world's suffering. Maybe that's what grandma wants to tell her grandson.

The idea is that each location corresponds to only one set of numbers. We often marvel at the wonders of modern information technology. In fact, Chinese medicine also has a positioning system. No matter what physical symptoms, psychological discomfort, no matter which organ, which part of the problem, we can retrieve this positioning system, find the idea and way to eliminate the disease. This positioning system is the meridian system proposed in the Huangdi Neijing. The twelve channels and collaterals system in Huangdi Neijing can be regarded as a very primitive medical positioning system, and also the most advanced positioning system. It's primitive because it was discovered by ancient people in a way that we don't know about anymore. Some Qigong practitioners believe that ancient sages and famous doctors studied the laws of nature through retreats, which are called "inner view".

Li Shizhen, a famous medical scientist in the Ming Dynasty, has a famous saying that seems to illustrate this point. He pointed out in the book "Strange Classics Eight pulse Examination" : "The interior tunnel, only the viewer can observe it." It means: the scene inside the viscera is like a tunnel. We can only see it if we practice certain skills and have the special ability of inner vision. Although few people can find meridians in this way, it is surprising to find that many empirical studies can prove their existence. That's what makes it so advanced. The core position of meridian system in the theory and practice of traditional Chinese medicine. "Plain ask" proposes: "evil guests in the skin is striae, open evil guests in the veins, veins full of notes in the meridians, meridians full in the viscera also." This indicates the process and mechanism of disease occurrence and development. Skin, collaterals, channels, fu organs and viscera represent the conduction levels of pathogenic invasion, and meridians are the mediations of exogenous pathogenic conduction and recovery of health. Where are the specific locations of meridians? "Lingshu · Meridians" said: "The twelve meridians, between the meat of the Fu line, deep and invisible. These are the meridians. The expression of the vein is "all the veins floating and common, all the veins are also". In the language of modern Chinese medicine, "Jingluo" is the general name of meridians and veins. Meridians are the longitudinal trunk of meridians and collaterals system. The veins are branches of the meridians that spread throughout the body like a network. Meridians are the channels through which qi and blood flow. Meridian is a kind of organization system that runs qi and blood, connects inside and outside, and regulates the whole activity of life. Meridians belong to Zang-fu organs, outside the limbs, crisscross the network of the whole body, from which the human body's Qi and blood can run.

I listened without a system, without learning track by track in the order of music history. I had never made such an effort, especially when I saw the journals of classical music lovers such as La La Magazine, and I felt inadequate. Fans have a lot of knowledge that I don't understand, but I always believe that I love Western classical music in my own way, for its own reasons, and don't worry about lack of knowledge. That's number one. Second, I have a fundamental belief that music is not listened to with the head, but with the heart. When we listen to it with our head, we are trying to understand the form, the structure of the work, how a theme first appears and then develops and reproduces, or the form in three paragraphs, or the form in fugue in turn in different parts, or the form in roundabout, and so on. That's the mind listening, hearing a "flowing architecture." But that's not the way I like music, that's the expert attitude. I never take the attitude of experts, because art is not for the service of experts, not the secret of the profession. Music belongs to the society, to the nation, to mankind, to the fate of mankind. Music is an expression of our perceived destiny. But today, I'm afraid that's not the way people look at music. Today's attitude toward music may miss the essence of music. Of course, music as entertainment is OK. Music comforts our mind, catharsis our emotions, and achieves a certain psychological effect. But music is not made for that. What you do with music is your business, no one else's. A cafe owner with Beethoven in the background can do this. But when I'm sitting in a cafe and I hear Beethoven, I go into a trance, and then the coffee is out of sight, and I have to rush back to listen to Beethoven.

For me, this music is like a world beckoning, it is not a foil to my conversation at the moment. Speaking of music, it is natural to mention all kinds of music, both eastern and western, ancient and modern, and contemporary. But I have always felt that western modern music is by far the highest form in the musical history of all peoples. Modern western music is usually called classic music. Man's music creation is very ancient. Lu Xun said, from the beginning of the people in the labor of "yo-yo, yo-yo" there. Music is as old as labor. Later, music began to try to speak only in its own language, no longer attached to other values, neither to religious values nor to the values of political movements, but to present itself as an event. It was Western classical music that pushed the independence of music to its peak. No matter how far Western classical music is distanced from people today, we must admit that it is a great temple of art with infinite treasures. When modern technology allows us to carry a great band and a great conductor in our pockets, this treasure trove opens up to the common man. Every time I think about this, I always have a sense of happiness. When I walk down the street, I carry the Berlin Philharmonic in my pocket, sometimes I invite Karajan, sometimes I invite Celibidak, so on this point, I want to express a sense of gratitude to modern technology, even though I often point out its alienating effects. Why is classical music such a great temple? Let me make a few brief philosophical remarks. First, music is the highest "witchcraft". When we see the word witchcraft, we will think it is a derogatory term, because science is much superior to it. We always compare science with witchcraft and say that witchcraft is a kind of ignorance. But we misunderstand the nature of witchcraft. Witchcraft is not a foolish attempt by man to make nature obey him before he is armed with science. No, witchcraft was not designed to make rain or wind, to subdue nature. After practicing witchcraft, primitive people went to work, farm or hunt. They did not think that after performing witchcraft rituals they could go home and sleep, the soil would grow out of rice, and the wild animals would be slaughtered. The fruits of the means of life must be exchanged with the sweat of labor, primitive people understand this, they do not use witchcraft to replace labor, but use witchcraft to express their sense of self-identity to the tribal community, to express the courage and enthusiasm of labor, in the words of British philosopher Collingwood, witchcraft is the emotional dynamo of life in primitive society. So let's make no mistake about witchcraft. Witchcraft is a primitive art, and art originates from witchcraft. What is the modern understanding of art? It is an object of appreciation, appreciation and amusement. But works of art were not originally for everyone to see. The earliest works of art -- cave paintings -- were hidden in caves, not for anyone to look at, but only opened when necessary to allow them to work as witchcraft. What is the purpose of witchcraft? It is the spiritual atmosphere of the primitive community. It is the magic that arouses the emotions and the will of every soul and gives meaning to the purpose of life. That is what witchcraft is for. Therefore, I say that art is in essence witchcraft. This may make you unhappy, because you may think that art is the expression of noble aesthetic taste, and has nothing to do with spirit, will and emotion. If art is used for some major socio-political movement, it is merely a tool. In fact, before great social movements could have begun, art generally began to perform its function of witchcraft, providing spiritual premises for such movements. This has always been the case throughout history. At the end of the Middle Ages in Europe, the third class tried to get on the historical stage to get rid of the feudal shackles and realize the possibility of individual free labor, and they fought for the freedom of personality. Before this struggle has begun, art has revealed the news of the movement and generally awakened a new collective unconscious. In this sense, art is equivalent to witchcraft. Today, art has become a personal matter, almost exclusively a part of private life, but it is still "witchcraft", the witchcraft that our individual minds need. We cannot be satisfied with a purely scientific and rational world, and we are not willing to be repressed in the relationship of gain and loss. We not only need to seek advantages and avoid disadvantages, but also have a meaning in our life, which is expressed in the creation and acceptance of art. So, to this day, art is the magic that our individual minds need. Without "witchcraft", we have no spiritual power. When Einstein cradled the violin on his shoulder and heard its beautiful notes, he went into a state of witchcraft. There was no contradiction between this and his scientific career. He needed a force to inspire him to explore the mysteries of nature. This power came not from science itself, but from the good music he loved. Human beings have needed witchcraft since ancient times, and in the infinite future, as long as human beings exist, there will still be a need for witchcraft, that is, for art. This is my more popular interpretation of the nature of art.

This is easy to understand because something in you dies, a negative attitude to fear. And its demise is bound to bring pain. On top of that, the "walls" that are supposed to protect you from fear are threatening to collapse. The following stages may or may not occur in overcoming fear. Stage 1 begins with shock. Many people don't want to admit that they do carry a lot of "fear baggage" that is seriously hindering their lives. It may take a few days to get over the shock. Just let them live, and when you're ready, they'll pass. Stage 2 is followed by depression. This can be related to anxiety or depression. Most people think about things at this stage, and so do I. Accept it slowly, because the feeling of depression will pass, and it is a good process. This shows that you are serious about overcoming these difficulties. Stage 3 Now, the possibility of accepting this reality becomes clearer. A new positive attitude is emerging. You can see how your fears limit you. And what it would mean to you if you weren't so scared. Your life will be completely different and you will gradually realize your dream instead of letting it become a fantasy. You finally dare to ride a roller coaster or go skydiving. More and more things you are willing to try, and you will come to expect them. When you get over your fear, what do you expect? What big wish, dream, or goal do you have? The only thing I can promise you is this: While I can't guarantee that your desires for happiness and fulfillment will come true, you will slowly move closer to those dreams when your fears are no longer holding you back, because many of these fears are the sole reason people don't achieve what they want. Not because: • Lack of motivation: A lot depends on your imagination for your dream. • Lack of money: There are many ways to get money to fulfill your desires, but you may not know it right now. • Social factors: People who are not supportive of your goals should be questioned about their place in your life. • Intellectual issues: Creativity and passion do not require intelligence, but dedication and interest. What do you think is holding you back from making a decision? Or have your fears taken over so much that you don't even know your dreams, goals, and desires?

When night came, a cool evening breeze blew over the lake. Only in early summer season, the southern islands Ru wet hot in the day. Rare this lakeside breeze, the clutter and worry blow clean. Like a mirror of the lake, a piece of empty, reflecting the outline of the surrounding hills. The early moon rises, the water mountains are full of the moon. The residents of the city were in great panic because of the epidemic. Epidemics are sudden and spread quickly. The virus is nowhere to be found, drugs to fight it are still being developed, and the number of deaths is increasing day by day. Everyone is scared to be infected, suspected people around the virus, do not know whether they will be the next person affected by the virus. Zhuzi, I think of the Buddhist sutra often said "ignorance", I do not know whether it is a kind of indescribable fear. Fear often doesn't need a reason. In fact, people are destined to die from birth. Man is born in a phenomenon that includes death. Are we afraid of death? Fear of death is also a kind of "ignorance". We fear only because we know so little.

If I sat by the lake a little longer, because of the moonlight and the mountain wind, because of the firefly flying in the grass, I could have a little more clarity of mind. However, I also worry about the disease and panic below the mountain, I also worry about life and death, I am still in the "ignorance" ah! Fluorescent fires, far and near, high and low, scattered, flickered in the dark valley. The firefly flickered at a frequency much like the signal light on a mobile phone, with a greenish tint, flickering in the silent darkness. A pause of a few seconds, as if searching, as if waiting, as if the transmission of a faint heart in the vast universe. Is there hope to seek and wait in the midst of ignorance and fear? In the great black web of impenetrable death, is there still a little glinting firefly in our hearts that can transmit the faintest thoughts? Through the darkest moments of fear? Fireflies are insects of the order Coleoptera, the same species as scarab beetles. Fireflies shine because males and females seek mates with similar frequencies. I laughed, feeling that J's explanation had a kind of youthful wit. It was not like science, not like explaining insect ecology, but like making fun of human behavior. Perhaps, humans are not far from insects. Our love and hate, our desires, our will to live, our fear of death, are still governed by the instinctive rules of the biological world. Do we still yearn for a little more "human" meaning and value? Zhu Zi, J is a young student of art. He drew the male and female images of fireflies in the picture above. The female's body has sections of limbs, which look like the intricate skirts of ancient court women. If art is literally translated as "beautiful technology", what is this technology to be used for? I wanted to ask J, but he was concentrating on observing fireflies, sketching and recording. When he saw many children carrying flashlights up the mountain, he earnestly reminded them one by one, "Would you please turn off the flashlights? It interferes with firefly reproduction." The children obeyed, turned off their flashlights, and the fireflies sparkled like stars. In the dark to hear the child "wow" a sound, full of joy and admiration. I didn't ask any further questions. Walking down the hill in the dark, the fireflies accompany you all the way, echoing the lights of the houses farther down the hill. The stars in the sky, or the lights in the world, were once the memory of human hope in the long dark, even if faint as firefly, it seems to free us from the fear of "ignorance" for the time being.

The long rain of the day nourished all the hunger in me. I realized that fate is like trees and flowers. The process of growing from seed to flower is an internal unfolding, not a predetermined schedule, filled with the desired hours of fulfillment, without the hardships of life at all. Over the years, I have experienced the world again and again -- in the world of tall buildings, people hold up their dreams like umbrellas, they want to be able to touch each other's hearts. And all of this actually hinders our inner growth, preventing us from growing into the person we were meant to be. Because no matter how talented we are and how eager we are to build, we can't really go anywhere but stretch and bloom like orchids. I have found that no matter how small my accomplishments, if I neglect my natural calling, I lose sight of my growth as a soul, that my daily labors are meant to produce rather than to grow, and that all the effort to win the approval of others eventually wears me down, especially when the approval of others is the source of my life. Peace of mind comes from being in one's place and perceiving our connection to the larger universe, and the effort to make others remember us can drain our energy. When we avoid taking risks out of fear of failure, and persist in doing things out of fantasy about the future, we are prone to burnout. In fact, our mission is very simple, as long as we are constantly rooted in the earth under our feet, to extend their branches towards the sun. It is not easy to put down deep roots under one's feet and try to grow from them, but our journey in life will be much easier if we can understand that the core truth is actually revealed through proximity. This inside-out destiny is a conversation between the heart and the core truth, a flower blossoming in a conversation with the drizzle.

This is our dream coming true. I want to tell a story that is so old that no one knows who told it first, but we can feel that it relates to us. We no longer know whether the hero is a man or a woman, old or young. In fact, every time this story is told, we gain new enlightenment. Now let's suppose that the hero of the story is a girl named Kun. One day, Kun traversed the valley, on the way through a small mountain village when he witnessed a massacre, the whole village was ransacked, strewn with corpses, a river of blood. Kun shuttled between the bodies everywhere, was deeply shocked, suffering the fierce impact also expanded her feelings. She probed curiously at the broken limbs, shuddering at the merciless violence that ravaged life. An eerie silence hung over the land, as if it were a war between tribes. Suddenly, Kun heard a terrible cry of pain. She removed the body of a man and saw a dying woman with a baby in her arms, bleeding from the head. Kun knelt down, without thinking the mother and son into his arms. The woman's cry of grief is not only from unbearable pain, but also from her unable to protect their children, when she saw the Kun, feel more pain, she begged him to save her child, he was helpless at first, involuntarily shook his head, the mother tightly held her hand, passed out, the blood in the arms of the baby also lost consciousness. Now, all of Kun's life before that -- her destinations, her plans, her dreams -- had vanished into thin air. Now she can't afford to turn away. Kun gently picked up the baby, and though he was unconscious, he covered the baby's eyes as he walked through the dead bodies to leave the village. Kun holding the baby, couldn't help crying, for the man who saw his fall under the knife, his child bleeding but unable to do the mother, but also for the baby even if wake up, will have nothing. Kun all the way in the heart silently mourning the mother that just died, the pain of the voice has been circling in her ears.

Eventually, Kun climbed out of the valley and, exhausted, fell asleep at a hole. When she woke up, the baby in her arms had stopped breathing at some point. Kun suddenly became at a loss, although know powerless to return to the sky, but she still tightly hold the child in her hands, trying to brush aside his young eyes, see there is no possibility of survival. Looking at the empty eyes, he seemed to hear the cry of the whole world, as if the cry in the sky has been circling since ancient times, stretching forever. The pain almost suffocated Kun, but she held the baby tightly, as if the world would stop as soon as she put him down. Little did she know, she was embracing a world that was about to break, and her mind was opening up like a lotus as images flashed through her mind before the breaking: the dead babies, the betrayal, the disease, the murder, the thousands of people left to mourn their loved ones. Even though she couldn't tell where the world was crying from, it made her stronger. Finally, tired of her again deep sleep, in the sleep, he became a source of healing, she woke up, began to heal the wounded career, let the cry of the world in her ears constantly spinning disc reverberated. These cries became a song, which she did not understand, but she knew that, just as the wind blows the snow from the branches, so the cry will unconsciously sweep away the sorrow of the wounded heart. Kun may be the predecessor of the Buddhist Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, because Avalokitesvara means to listen to the cries of the world. In fact, it doesn't matter whether it is or not, many stories are like streams eventually converge into the sea, will converge into a story we learn from. No matter where we are, no matter where we wake up, we will hear the cry of the world in our own unique way like Kun. The cries never stop and suffocate, and we listen to the cries of the world with noble motives and keep them in our ears for a long time, so that the vitality of the world continues to burn. As Ehrke says at the beginning, the most important reason for "grief" is that it helps us to realize that we are one with all things, that all living things are our relatives. But it's easy to say that the challenges of grief are immense, and it's hard to appreciate the depth of meaning when we're caught up in the vortex of grief. The poet Caleb said, "If you hide it, if you keep it quiet, grief will bruise the soul." No matter what we do, we will not eliminate the crying of the world, because crying is the song of survival. When we try to silence or extinguish the voices of grief, we cut ourselves off from the life force that binds us to the world. If we are lost in the cry, we will be swallowed up by it, then what should we do with the cry of the world? I have found that my own experiences help me to understand others who have had similar experiences. This is the true meaning of compassion. The sliver of suffering we have experienced is like a thread given to us. Lift this thread and we can lift the whole cloth. I once twisted my back, so I could feel the old lady having to spend 20 minutes moving from the bread counter to the milk counter. I have been there, and I know why the man who lost his wife refused to lift his eyes from her grave because he did not want to believe that the woman he loved was gone forever. Having lived with cancer, I can understand why fearful souls find it difficult to wait outside the waiting room.

When I have been able to face the world crying, I also like a fluttering flag in the wind unfolded. One day when I was in college, sitting with my grandmother in her Brooklyn apartment, she looked at an old family photo on her desk and felt transported to another time and place, deep in thought. The photo, dated 1933, shows the young parents smiling as if they had the world in their hands. When Grandma came to her senses, I asked curiously who the man in the photo was. She said it was her sister, her brother-in-law and their young son, who were living in Budapest at the time. Grandma paused for another long time, then said with a deep sigh, "At that time, we scrimped and saved and bought them three tickets to come to America." "But they sent the tickets back," she continued, dropping her heavy hands on her lap. "They wrote us that Romania was their home." In the end, they all died in the Nazi concentration camp at Buchenwald. Holding on to this thread of Grandma's memory, my heart slowly opened for the cries of the Nazi Holocaust, and for the souls of all the cries of the Holocaust throughout history. These cries pushed me into a great grief, and I could not sleep. Later, I realized that the only reason I had opened myself up to that horrible history of suffering was to feel the truth of what it was to be human. We need to let the suffering pour down and wash away our open heart just as Kun let the cries of the whole world wash away her heart hundreds of years ago. One must learn to return to calm from turbulent suffering, especially unnecessary suffering, but that does not mean we should turn our backs on a violent world. Because a truly engaged mind produces antibodies when injected with a little violence. As our hearts open with compassion, the heart itself strengthens resistance and increases the strength of humanity as a whole. Can I prove it? No. But am I sure? The answer is yes. Aren't we still here? One might immediately say, "I don't know." But you and I are still on this earth, alive instead of dead, defenseless instead of calloused, kind instead of cruel -- though each of us is, in fact, a little cruel. Our own little bit of suffering is like giving us a thread that allows us to pull up the whole fabric. This is the true meaning of compassion. It's not surprising that we gradually become desensitized. Even the bravest among us, the ones who do the most for the good of others, become more and more numb with fatigue, because their minds are unable to carry any more weight and need time to process what has happened in their lives. When we are overburdened and overwhelmed, we begin to withdraw from the world so that the inner world can supply us with information. Perhaps the noblest personal act of all is the long-neglected effort to turn inward: to open our hearts when the doors are closing, to open our souls when they shrink in fear, to soften our minds when the storms of life have sharpened our minds. Often what seems hard, numb and shy inside of us turns out to be the face of compassion, and through this inner compassion, we can restore the glory of humanity. Our compassion has been waiting to awaken our sleeping life. When our hearts are open, we can touch the oneness to which we belong. Then, when we are lost, we can lift up the windmill of the spirit and let the wind of the crying world turn it over and over again, until our windmill spin has accumulated enough kinetic energy to put into the whole world. It's hard to stay alive and alert, and people often try not to look at the suffering, but the truth is, we can't just ignore it, any more than a high mountain can resist the deep erosion of groundwater. And there are dangers in running away from the cries of the world. In extreme cases, our indifference can turn us into the kind of people who seek pleasure in other people's suffering. There's a word in German called "Schadenfreude," and that's what it means. This kind of perverted fun comes from the most extreme denial of human nature. Running away from pain only makes us a little mouse on the run. When a person withdraws from the world, the need for perception doesn't disappear, it gets distorted. The English phrase "Roman Holiday" refers to those people in the stands who, during the Roman Empire, found amusement in the bloodspattered bloodbaths of gladiators. In today's 24-hour news, we face the same potential danger. We can connect with people all over the world in seconds, like 9/11 in New York and the massacre of 20 schoolchildren in Connecticut. Like the ancient legend of the Kun, we are forced to look at the bloody facts of the tragedy, with trembling hearts in these heinous violence glimpse a revelation -- how small and fragile we are living on this earth! Still, if we're not careful, replaying the tragedy from all angles can instead push us to the other extreme -- and we ourselves become spectators of those perverted Roman Gladiators Shouting excitement from the stands. It is a greater tragedy to watch the tragedy in a numb, unconscious way, for we thus degenerate into a dark voyeur. But just as the suffering of the ages is heard when he clasps a dead baby in his arms, keeping our hearts open in the face of torn life will allow us to hear and feel the cries of all those who suffer.

Effective exercise is not about "torturing" yourself at a high intensity, or strolling around outdoors. It's about maintaining a proper heart rate. In terms of aerobic exercise for weight loss and weight loss, the professional recommendation is that the heart rate should be maintained between 60% and 80%, just at the edge of the body's comfort zone, and half an hour of activity every day can produce excellent results.

If that's a problem, there's an easy way to do it: keep yourself wheezing during cardio. For example, when running, keep a fast enough pace until a little wheezing, for 1-2 minutes, then change to brisk walking, breathing, repeat, this amount of activity can be achieved by almost everyone. When it comes to exercise, I suspect that most people would choose running, but for better results, it's best to combine complex exercises. Such as yoga, dance, gymnastics, tai chi, etc., after a 10-minute aerobic warm-up, these complex activities engage all the nerve cells in the brain. The more complex the activity, the more complex the synaptic connections, and the more dense the synaptic growth, so a good exercise must include both aerobic and complex exercise. Two million years ago, humans lived a hunter-gatherer life, and our ancestors had to walk an average of 8 to 16 kilometers a day to eat. It wasn't until the last 10,000 years ago that humans started farming, and it wasn't until the last 100 years that humans entered the age of material abundance and no longer needed to expend so much energy on finding food. People have the idea that exercise is just about getting healthier and fitter bodies. Posters at the gym and photos of people exercising on social media are all promoting this idea. But in fact, the larger point of exercise is not fitness, but brain health. It can not only make people more optimistic, but also make them more mentally flexible, and ultimately improve both health and cognition. But once people get used to sitting for a long time, they are no longer willing to activity, unconsciously into the downward channel of life quality -- the more depressed, depressed, the more do not want to exercise, the less exercise, the more depressed, depressed, and the best way to break the cycle is to "sweat" -- wear running shoes, pick up the racket swing... Fortunately, more and more people are awakening, and people begin to encourage each other to study and exercise. There is even a popular literary motto: either body or soul is on the way. Language can affect thinking, "developed limbs, simple mind" this sentence should be modified to "developed limbs, more developed mind" is reasonable, and the body and soul is not only one of the two choices, you can not only study without exercise, or only exercise without learning, and can not follow the mood to alternate these two activities. I'm sure you're now more inclined to say that if the soul wants to go far, the body must be on the way. The clearer the perception, the more firm the action. From now on, give new meaning to your exercise program.

People face all kinds of troubles every day, but most of them are used to passive suffering, few people are willing to take the initiative to face. Bert Hellinger, a German psychotherapist, once described people's attitude to trouble in this way: It is easier to suffer than to solve problems, to suffer misfortune than to enjoy happiness. This is very much in keeping with the human nature of not thinking. Because it takes brain power to solve problems, it takes brain power to balance delicate relationships to enjoy happiness, and it takes brain power to stay stuck in pain. Although passive suffering also costs a lot of energy, people are genetically programmed not to use energy actively, so Meituan founder Wang Xing's statement resonated with many: Most people will do anything to avoid real thinking. But avoiding the pain doesn't make it go away. Instead, it drives it into the subconscious and becomes a vague feeling. And once the specific event is blurred, its boundary will be infinitely expanded, and the small things that are not difficult will also become difficult to solve in the fuzzy subconscious. It feels like listening to the sound of "countless frogs" in the pond, which makes people very upset. When you really can't help it, you go to have a look, only to find that there are only a few frogs. The real difficulty is much less than imagined. The root cause of procrastination, confusion, fear and fear is often not the difficulty of the task itself, but the blurring of the inner thoughts. Just as the nameless fear that makes us shudder before the 3K test, we find that the 3K test is no more than that once we start running and have to confront it head-on. If we can be more positive and learn to look at it, unpick it, and see it from the start, maybe that tension won't bother us and we can even "enjoy" the game. But some things, once in the subconscious mind, can be difficult to erase. For example, bad experiences from childhood, long forgotten by the conscious mind, remain in the subconscious mind and secretly influence our character and behavior. Some patients with severe depression or mental disorders sometimes need to undergo hypnosis therapy, and all the methods used by psychohypnotists in the treatment are really only to achieve one thing: to awaken the subconscious painful events, so that the patient can face it again, see it, and thus completely resolve it. Remember, no painful event, no matter how small, will go away. The only way not to be troubled by it is to face it, to see it, to unpick it, to dissolve it, not to give it a chance to enter the subconscious, not to give it a chance to blur; Even if it's already in the subconscious, find a way to dig it out. So when you feel that unexplainable, unexplainable feeling in your heart, sit down and ask yourself a question. · What makes you irritable? Is it getting up on stage to give a speech, meeting someone, or just having your head in the clouds? · What specifically makes you fearful? Is it a lack of ability, preparation, or fear of something happening? · What can I do in the face of difficulties? What can't you do? What's the worst that can happen if you fail or screw up? Dig down one layer at a time until you can't dig any more. Open acknowledgment and acceptance of unmentionable thoughts makes emotions extremely transparent. While confronting your emotions won't make the pain go away, or even worsen it in the short term, it will allow you to take control of the situation, or at least not be intimidated by your emotions. Fear is a bully. If you avoid it, it will open its teeth and claw. If you face it, it will show its true shape. Once you see it clearly, the emotion will slowly dissipate from your subconscious mind and your life will feel better.

Clarity of perception, peace of mind, and ultimately firmness of action. Many people attribute low motivation to environmental interference or weak willpower. In fact, the real cause of low motivation is vague choices. Ambiguity is our inability to make a clear, explicit choice when faced with many possibilities. It's very common when you have a lot of desires, a lot of threads in your head, or a lot of free time on your hands to get into the "I want to do this and I want to do that; "You can do this, you can do that," is like being at a crossroads all the time, but not knowing where to go, thus plunging yourself into a kind of uncertainty. Choosing vagueness is a kind of uncertainty, and humans will unconsciously escape from uncertainty, because in ancient times, when our ancestors saw the grass moving but could not know what was in it, they would have a strong psychological stress response to guard against the lion that might jump out at any time. It's written into our genes to "avoid uncertainty" in order to survive, so when we have a lot of vague options in our minds, we automatically choose the one that's clearest, simplest, and certain. In other words, when we don't have clear instructions or goals, it's easy to choose pleasure over the mind-burning options we should be sticking to.

Every movement, including turning the "body", bending the "fingers" and raising the volume of the "speech", is controlled by precise numbers in its "brain". Once the power is off, the robot will stop working. However, people are different. If people faint and lose consciousness, they will collapse to the ground, but the heartbeat, breathing, digestion and other functions will not stop immediately, because they are under the control of the unconscious mind, which will never disappear unless the physical death. If, like a robot, every muscle was numerically controlled, every hormone regulated, and every nerve signal processed, human beings would not be able to survive because the amount of information needed to process even the seemingly simple act of raising a hand or moving a hand is enormous. In order to survive better, the hand of evolution has cleverly layered consciousness. It puts the unconscious mind in charge of the physiological system and the conscious mind in charge of the social system. This division of labor frees the conscious mind to devote itself to higher social activities. This is the power of evolution. However, evolution is a double-edged sword, and the layering of consciousness has brought great benefits to human beings as well as a side effect -- vagueness.

Because the speed of processing all kinds of information is not equal, it is difficult for consciousness to intervene in the subconscious, but the subconscious can easily control the consciousness, so people always do what they do not understand, such as obviously want to study, but then turn around and pick up the mobile phone; It is like a shadow behind you. It can affect you, but you don't know what it is. You look back in a blur. This kind of vagueness leads to confusion and fear, which in turn confuses our cognition, emotions and actions, thus affecting the direction of our life. Ambiguity is the source of trouble in life. And life is like a blur elimination competition, who is the more serious the blur, who will be more chaotic; The less blurry the person, the more awake he is. People's cognitive ability needs to be accumulated from scratch, while the unconscious mind always exists, so we need lifelong learning, because the more tools we master, the stronger the cognitive ability, the better the ability to eliminate ambiguity. Just as you know metacognition, you know how to think about yourself; When you know "deliberate practice", you know how to improve yourself. Now that you know "Exercise Reinvents your brain", you know how to motivate yourself to exercise... The best in the field know more than everyone else, have fewer blind spots, have more clarity, and are therefore more influential. Unfortunately, humans are hardwired to dislike learning and thinking because it takes a lot of energy. In the long process of evolution, the primary task of life is survival, so the first principle of genetic self-design is to save energy, anything that consumes a lot of energy will be regarded as a threat to survival. The subconscious mind has no thought, only instinct, it will try to let the body lower energy route, induce us to enjoy, so instinct is usually an obstacle to learning, and if people do not learn, and unable to overcome instinct. This cycle makes us inevitably fall into chaos in the initial stage of life, and it is often difficult for us to get out of it unless we are forced or pulled by external forces. Fortunately, the development of The Times provides us with more learning opportunities and a better learning environment, and the possibility that we actively enter the anti-instinct growth is also increasing.

Auction was a "small" surprise to me. After graduating from my MBA, I wanted to find a job that would satisfy my love of art and my interest in business, so I decided to join Christie's in 2007. I had no intention of becoming an auctioneer at the time. During my first year on the job, no matter how much I admired the strength, charisma and quick reflexes of the auctioneers who stood on the auction floor, I had no intention of becoming an auctioneer. Until 2008, when my boss encouraged me to take part in an auctioneer training program. At that time, most of the auctioneers were European and American. As the Asian art market grows rapidly, Christie's is looking for an Asian face fluent in Chinese to fill the role of auctioneer as a way to build closer relationships with Asian clients and audiences. I thought it would be a good opportunity to get familiar with the auction process, even if I didn't become an auctioneer after training, but I still didn't want to become an auctioneer because I didn't think I liked or was good at public speaking. This training was conducted by Christie's Global auction trainer, who took us from learning the basic rules of auction to understanding the entire auction process.

Every week, we have a meeting where six of our colleagues sit around and practice. A few months later, our mentor said to me privately, "I think you have the potential to be a good auctioneer, and you can spend more time on auctions." It was an important turning point in my career. With great encouragement from my mentor, I first had the ambition to become a professional auctioneer. But at the time, there was no precedent for a young Asian woman to become an auctioneer at Christie's. I also faced many challenges and difficulties, starting with convincing the head of Christie's department in Hong Kong, China, that he would have the confidence to appoint me as auctioneer. But I know in my heart that department heads would prefer to have experienced auctioneers in charge of the sale. Who wants to be the guinea pig when a novice, locally trained auctioneer is appointed to run an auction? So Christie's first arranged for me to go to South Kensington in London for my first sale. The small auctions here tend to sell lower-priced items. Every week, we hold a variety of auctions, including the sale of fine furniture, mainly old furniture, sculptures and paintings from British estates. I made my debut auctioning off fine furniture like this. Although the prices were all under ￡300, the sale still made me nervous, but luckily I didn't put a foot wrong that day. As I walked down the aisle, I felt my stomach roll over and I wanted to vomit. Later, when I returned to China, I began to auction inexpensive items such as wine and watches. As far back as I can remember, even if the prices were low, I still found it fun to be a part of it. After all, in the past, the auctioneers who were able to "hammer" the auction table were usually foreign men older than me. When a young Chinese girl like me stepped onto the auction table, the change of pace and tone of the auction room was really refreshing to the customers.

I'm Ghost, a pet dietitian dedicated to always accompany small animals. In fact, I think people's values will change with the growth of age, but since childhood, I think the only thing I will not change is to be grateful. This is my value, and it is also the rule that I always restrain myself. There are many good things in the world, and as long as we are grateful, no matter what problem we face, we can solve it properly. I want to say, if you feel like every door in your life is closed, remember this: a closed door is not always locked, at least give it a push. Don't just look at the past, look at the future. Look at the future with a smile, there is nothing we can't solve. You have to believe that even after the waiting, you will eventually harvest unexpected surprises. When I first became a pet dietitian, it was also very difficult. I thought the job was boring and I had to memorize a lot of knowledge every day. But for me, I could find something that made me happy. Happy is the most important thing, every day happy, you can enjoy it. Likewise, do what you love, and you give meaning to the process. However, I have also witnessed a lot of "dark side", some vendors will cater to a certain aesthetic on the animals artificially "cute". In pet-related work, we should not artificially cater to the popular aesthetic, and should be more considerate of the animals.

I started to operate a "we media" account to a large extent because it can let more people know about the work of pet nutritionists and make my own contribution to the development of this industry. Your metacognitive ability stays online when you can feel the presence of another "ideal self." Of course, it may not be stable at first, and will often "drop the line", which is normal, because metacognitive training is like building a muscle, it needs patience and time, as long as the continuous use, it will be stronger and stronger. In addition, there are a few things you can do regularly to improve your metacognitive ability. One is to enhance learning. There is no doubt that the more rules a person has, the more likely he is to jump out of ignorance and make a better choice. Of particular interest are brain science and cognitive science, which are direct descriptions of our own patterns of behavior. Learning them is equivalent to observing ourselves directly. As when we know their brain structure that can realize the body actually has a "primitive man" and a "modern man", all of our behavior is the result of the game they actually, in this way, we will know how to guide the "modern man" victory, so as to make yourself stronger.

Second, often reflect. A person who never reflects is bound to fall over and over again in the same place. Such a person will make very slow progress in both life and study. When a person who is good at reflection encounters mistakes or problems, he will actively review his thinking process and find out the loopholes and deficiencies in his thinking. It is like "another self" going back to the past and observing the self who was making mistakes at that time. It's worth reminding yourself that reflection can't just take place in your head. It's important to "write down" the process -- not only how it happened, but also how it happened and how you can improve it. Only in this way can the effect of reflection be deepened and we have the opportunity to learn and live with "attention points". Three is focused breathing. The process of focused breathing is also a process of self-reflection and control of attention. It's essentially the same thing as metacognition, so practicing focused breathing can improve our metacognition. In fact, there are many more ways to cultivate and use metacognition, but I'll give you a brief introduction here, and I'll continue to introduce metacognition later in the article. You'll find that metacognition affects our learning everywhere. On a larger scale, metacognition is also the key to our awakening. Because people have two lives, one is born, one is awakening. The sign of awakening is that one day you begin to become the helmsman of your own thinking, begin to take the initiative to control your thoughts and words, pursue your own goals and mission, no longer muddled, drifting.

When they turn on metacognition, life and learning are completely different. This difference is at least reflected in the following aspects. First, they are able to actively control their attention and not be dictated to by random, interesting information. For example, they can detect when they are distracted and immediately remind themselves to bring their attention back to their studies, as if they were being supervised by someone else. Their attention is not easily distracted or distracted by temptation because they ask themselves "what's more important" as if they had someone nearby to remind them. Secondly, they can examine their first reaction in time. For example, when people encounter criticism, denial or scolding, they will instinctively get angry, explain or refute, and even "scold" back without thinking. But metacognitive ability strong people can perceive this inner reaction in time, and set aside time to review this instinct reaction, for example, they often standing on the position of each other's problems, try to make the other person's point of view and the mood, if it is found that the other party said very reasonable, they will guide them on the other side the right point of view, rather than a bad mood, This can not only make themselves continue to progress, but also make themselves quickly out of the emotional vortex; If they find that the other person is not reasonable, they will not instinctively scold back, but choose to laugh at themselves or simply laugh off, after all, there is no need to contend with an unreasonable person. Naturally, such people are also more stable when talking to others.

Because they probably run through what they want to say in their head every time they say it and think about how the other person will feel when they say it, they avoid a knee-jerk reaction and become a more emotionally intelligent person. A person with good interpersonal relationships, a stable mood and an open mind is bound to create good learning conditions for the "seven balls" in his brain. Third, they can view the present from the perspective of the future. Than the average person, metacognitive ability strong people are more likely to know what kind of life they want, know what is more important, it will be easier to solve the present problems, because they often stand in the future look at now, just like "another" fly to look back in a few decades now, they know that they should not waste time on meaningless things. With this perspective of the future, they will certainly not fall into a state of unexamined life, and will certainly have a different motivation for life and learning. In the end, they are always able to see the big picture from above and don't dive into the details of timing and action. People with strong metacognitive skills are better at capturing and thinking about those few "critical moments" that make most of the rest more productive. For example, they tend to spend 10 minutes in the morning planning the whole day, so that they can stay awake throughout the day and not be easily distracted by irrelevant temptations, just like the "other self" always standing on top of the overall situation, to navigate for themselves; They are also more willing to spend "dedicated time" thinking about the meaning and benefits of doing something, so that they can generate different motivation and avoid following others blindly. In short, a person who turns on metacognition is like having a "soul mate"; he has an "ideal self" leading him wherever and whenever he wants. Such people must go faster and farther than those who are not free of their instincts and emotions, because they "fly." So, if you practice it, you will find more applications and extraordinary results for metacognition.

According to Negroponti, "Bits, DNA as information, are rapidly replacing atoms as the fundamental element of human society" and digital technology "will determine our survival". [3] The current wave of digital new media is an integral part of the process of digital society and digital economy. In other words, the development of digital new media is embedded in the process of digital world, and the digitalization of media is promoted by the digitalization of economy and society. The digitalization wave sweeping the whole human society provides a powerful power for the digitalization of media, which in turn promotes the digitalization of economy and society, constituting a mutually driven development mechanism of media digitalization and social economy digitalization. This is the intrinsic reason why this digital new media wave has won social influence and public attention that any new media wave in history does not have. In terms of concrete performance, the new media wave characterized by digitalization has gradually become the focus of the agenda since the end of the 1990s by virtue of its ability to harvest public attention and disrupt the traditional media pattern. First of all, with the popularization of Internet access services and the increasing penetration of mobile intelligent terminal population, coupled with the blowout effect of content-based application supply, contemporary human beings are increasingly living in a world surrounded by new media. Limited time is constantly occupied by new media.

No matter individual survival or organization operation, new media is inseparable from new media, which has become the infrastructure of social operation. This directly promotes the new media to have a super social influence. Secondly, the voluptious transformation ability of new media first plays a role in the field of information dissemination and media, forming a huge impact on the living space and interest pattern of traditional media. The current historical period of the boom of digital new media is actually a period of conflict and alternation between new media and traditional media. This transition process itself is not peaceful, but full of game. The social conflicts caused by the confrontation and competition between new media and traditional media around users, markets, talents, discourse rights and political resources spread and influence all aspects of social life. This influence has enabled new media to define contemporary economic society and human survival, making new media and new communication one of the most core features of the contemporary era.

The first is the service number of the enterprise brand or the user's after-sales service number. The main body of this public number is the enterprise itself. Only a small number of users pay attention to the service number of the brand, and are attracted by the brand image and the content of the service number; Most users need services provided by the enterprise, or need to participate in offline activities of the enterprise, or need user benefits provided by the enterprise. This kind of wechat public number itself has a strong service attribute, so that users have to pay long-term attention to, even have to continue to use, such as the major bank credit card wechat service number, the service number of the major express companies, etc. At the same time, this kind of wechat public account is very suitable for pushing sincere welfare activities or creative brand activities to attract users to participate in or consume. Users mainly pay attention to the activity itself. The second is to do with the flow operation method of "flow number". This kind of public number has a large number of subscribers, but these subscribers are through a variety of diversion methods to pay attention to the wechat public number, some because of interests or welfare, some are inadvertently concerned.

This kind of wechat official account has low user loyalty, and the copy pushed is easily ignored by users. Therefore, their copy will emphasize more on interest stimulation, so that subscribers can click on the article to understand the information because of curiosity or welfare. This kind of wechat public number is suitable for recommending all kinds of good bargains, combining different operating time points to stimulate different consumer groups. The third is a certain personal brand or team brand attributes of the "person set number". The subscribers of this kind of wechat public number are often concerned because they agree with the article views of the public number creator, or because they have learned about the new media copywriter offline and other channels, and identify with him, and then pay attention to the public number of the new media copywriter. This kind of wechat public number in the article open rate will be higher, and subscribers to the wechat public number recommended goods are relatively more trust. Wechat public number operator recommended goods to a certain extent is his personal credit as a guarantee, and is responsible for the recommended goods, if the recommended goods lead to the loss of subscribers to the wechat public number, it is not worth the loss. This kind of wechat public number is suitable for recommending good things recognized by operators. Operators stimulate the purchase desire of subscribers by describing their real use experience and feelings, so as to drive the order. So this kind of wechat public number copy with more soft text attributes, in the writing method should not only pay attention to the maintenance of the operator's personal brand, but also pay more attention to the experience of subscribers. Once written public subscribers particularly agree with the copy, often make the goods become a boom. Of course, influential wechat public accounts will also directly forward the advertising copy that has been written by others, and use their influence to endorse other commodities and make profits through traffic distribution.

In the search ranking, the weight of words contained in the App name is much higher than that of words in the keyword field; (2) The original 100-character space in the keyword field is wasted by a lot of Spaces, and some words already in the App name or developer name are used, these repeated words will not increase the weight of search ranking; (3) The term "music" is also placed in the keyword field. Although Amazon does this in the hope that users will find it when they search for "music", such terms do not drive traffic, because even adding these terms to the keyword field will keep the Amazon shopping App ranking below 400. I mentioned earlier that the goal of optimization is to make sure that every relevant term in the keyword field results in the top 10 searches, and that the search volume for those terms is large enough. So if it's an obscure term that users don't search for much, even if it gets us to number one, it won't drive much traffic. Based on these, I optimized the keywords of Amazon shopping App in the following four aspects.

(1) Remove unnecessary Spaces in the keyword field and words that repeat with the name of the Amazon shopping App and the name of the developer. (2) Using the tools provided by ST, as shown in Figure 2-2, some hot search keywords related to Shopping are borrowed from shopping apps like Wish (a mobile e-commerce shopping platform), Walmart, ebay and Wanelo Shopping (a shopping website). (3) Study the difficulty score, traffic score and the probability of searching the top 10 of these keywords. Among them, the difficulty score is a score from 1 to 10 provided by ST, which represents the difficulty for users to find Amazon shopping App when searching for specific keywords. The higher the score, the more difficult it is for users to find the App. Therefore, it is necessary to find the terms with low difficulty score. Traffic score is also a score from 1 to 10 provided by ST, which represents the search popularity of a specific term. The higher the score, the more users will search for the term. Therefore, it is necessary to find the terms with high traffic score. (4) Based on these parameters, the exposure scores of related words are calculated. This is a metric I created to measure how much exposure a keyword field or App title brings to a search. At the same time, considering the correlation between these words and Amazon business, I will comprehensively decide which words should be put in the title and keyword field of Amazon shopping App.

It's just that the teams that do these things may not be called user growth teams, or growth-related things may be spread across several teams. Another point to be noted is that most traditional enterprises allow users to pay for products, and there are few free products. Moreover, in the traditional sales system, there are many steps to deliver products to users. After these steps, the manufacturing enterprises cannot even establish a direct connection with the end users. So in a traditional enterprise, performance growth and user growth are similar. However, in the Internet era, most Internet companies sell their products in the free mode that the wool is paid for by the pig and the dog. The Internet makes it much easier for enterprises to connect and communicate with users. So Internet companies acquiring and retaining users are similar to traditional companies selling products to customers and getting them to buy their own products again and again. The brand Marketing Department of a traditional FMCG company is similar to the growth team of an Internet company today. Brand and marketing is one of the main points for FMCG companies to let users choose their products. This part of the work is mainly undertaken by the brand Marketing Department, which is responsible for insight and research, product concept research and development, brand positioning and promotion, advertising and media delivery, market promotion and promotion, channel development, market execution, etc. The purpose of the brand Marketing Department is to make users love and buy their own products. How it does this is not the subject of this book, so I will not go into it here. The point of this example is that user growth isn't new or mysterious in nature, it's just that at different times and in different industries, different teams or teams are doing something similar. Even in the Internet age, user growth has gone through different shifts. In the PC Internet era, search is the entrance, we want traffic generally go to buy search advertising, there are few private domain traffic, so SEM (search engine marketing) and SEO (search engine optimization) is popular. However, in the era of mobile Internet, due to the closed nature of Apps, traffic entry appears discrete, and many apps gradually establish a closer relationship with users, forming their own private domain traffic.

As a result, user growth has gradually turned into App installation and activation, with major mobile Internet companies trying to install their apps on users' phones. In the early stage, the process of installing the App on the user's mobile phone and letting the user activate it was mainly achieved through various channels of advertising. In the early era of mobile Internet, smartphone shipments were increasing year by year and user dividends were high, so the simplest and most brutal way to achieve user growth was to do mobile phone pre-installation: Internet companies have negotiated with mobile phone manufacturers to integrate apps directly into the mobile phone operating system installation package, which will be directly installed into the phone when the operating system is brushed out of the factory, and some pre-installed apps cannot be deleted unless the operating system is rebrushed. The advantages of this method are low cost and large volume. In the early days, the activation cost per App was 1 yuan or less. That's 100 million dollars for 100 million new active users. Assuming 10% of those users stay, that's 10 million daily active users. If an App has 10 million DAUs, it's probably worth 1.5 to 6 billion yuan. The input-output ratio is very high for a cost of 100 million yuan to achieve such a large profit. If you want more, there are other channels to choose from. Other channels mainly include the following ways: Android phone pre-installation, Android phone manufacturer App store release, Android phone third-party App store release, SEM, Apple App store (App Store) integral wall, Apple App Store APP keyword optimization (free), Apple App Store ranking Sprint, DSP (demand-side platform)/Network Alliance advertising, Android mobile phone system brush machine, etc.

The difficulty of these channels is not big, the money can be done, is not the focus of the book, will not expand in detail. In general, in the early stage of the development of mobile Internet, the fastest way to attract new people is to saturate various channels, there are rockets to sit we will not sit in a car. However, with the cost of obtaining traffic increasing year by year, relying on channel this move fresh, has been unable to eat all over the world. So user growth is more on the table. In addition, channel delivery only solves the problem of attracting new users. Even if it is possible to mobilize users through various DSP ads plus Deeplink, it is not cost-effective. Therefore, channel delivery is not very helpful for promoting and improving user LTV. As channel costs rise year by year, many people who used to do channel gradually switch to user growth, but the skills required to do user growth are very big challenges for these people. At present, the common user growth background mainly includes: channel commerce, product, operation, data analysis, marketing, strategy, research and development, user research and so on. In practical work, I have recruited people with different backgrounds. I feel that people with data analysis, product and operation backgrounds have some advantages in user growth, while those with channel business background face relatively big challenges.

At this moment, the dust and mud on the ground was once the noisy spring on the branches yesterday. Between the two, who is the flower? The dead bones that are eaten by the ants at present were once the soft waist of the willows who danced jealously in the past. Who is the peerless beauty by referring to the two? Whether a handful of Qingjiang dishes is delicious or not, it actually affects the pain of life. I will tell you what it is. After I was invited to talk about women and novels, I sat by the river and began to ponder the exact meaning of these words. Perhaps these words mean that I can comment on the novels of Fanny Bernie [2], say more about Jane Austen, praise the Bronte sisters, and briefly describe the Haworth House in the snow and ice [3]. If possible, make fun of Miss Mitford [4], respectfully introduce a few words of George Eliot, and also mention Mrs. Gaskell [5], which may be the end of the show. On second thought, these words seem to have another meaning. The theme of women and novels is probably to talk about women and their images - perhaps this is your original intention; Otherwise, we should talk about women and their novels; Or women and those novels that describe women. Or, these three aspects are inseparable from each other - and you just want me to consider this issue from this perspective - this seems to be the most interesting way. But once I start thinking from this perspective, I soon find that it has a fatal flaw, that is, I can never draw a conclusion.

I can't do my duty. In my opinion, it's my primary responsibility to stand here and make a speech for you, so that you can write down your true knowledge in your notes an hour later, and leave it on the mantelpiece as a permanent memorial. All I can do is to share my opinion on a minor issue: if a woman plans to write a novel, she must have money and a room of her own. This view, as you will see, does not solve the major problem of what women are and what novels are. Therefore, I do not intend to draw any conclusions on these two issues. In my opinion, the issue of women and novels is still unresolved. However, in order to make some compensation, I intend to do my best to explain to you where I got my point of view on room and money. I will sum up my thoughts in this way and explain them to you in an original and undisguised way. Perhaps, as long as I expose to you all the views or prejudices behind this statement, you will find that it has something to do with women and novels. In any case, it is hard to expect anyone to tell the truth on a controversial topic, as long as gender is involved in a problem. What we can do is to tell us exactly how we came to a certain point of view, no matter what it is. We can only let our audience draw their own conclusions after understanding the limitations, prejudices or hobbies of the speakers. In this case, novels may contain more truth than facts. Therefore, I intend to give full play to my freedom and privilege as a writer to talk with you about the stories that happened in the two days before I came here - about myself. After knowing the theme you have given me, how can I bear the burden and how can I rack my brains. In my daily life, both inside and outside, I am worrying about it.

Obviously, everything I'm going to say is a fiction: Niuqiao University is just a fiction, so is Fenham College, and the so-called "I" is just a convenient term, not a real person. I will also speak freely, but it is not without some truth. It is up to you to carefully identify, eliminate the false and retain the true. It is up to you to decide whether there are also some words worth remembering. If not, you can throw them all into the wastebasket and forget everything today. Let's talk about what happened a week or two ago. It was a fine day in October. I (let's call me Mary Burton, Mary Heaton, Mary Camille, or whatever you like - it doesn't matter) sat by the river and lost in thought. Just now, the burden on my shoulders is the theme of women and novels. I have to draw a conclusion about this theme, which will lead to various prejudices and preferences. This pressure makes me unable to lift my head. On both sides of me, there are clusters of unknown shrubs. The golden and crimson colors are mottled and shiny, looking like burning flames. On the other side, willows droop in the wind, sobbing in the eternal sadness. The river reflected the sky, the bridge and the burning trees in its arms at will.
