We went full vapor wave as the team showed off the in-progress Creators Grand Prix racing game launching June 26 at Producers Club NYC. We’re talking glowing base coins, moody fog effects, and a dreamy synth-colored skybox. We also demoed:

• Real-time coin collection + score tracking

• Text Mesh UI build in Unity

• Sponsor billboard placement

• Hidden collectibles and “secret zone” ideas

• Racing physics tuning + car chaos

Little Men, Big Dreams: Healing Through Creativity
Barnabas Johnnie, founder of the Johnny Boys Foundation, joined us live from Nigeria to share Little Men Big Dreams, a grassroots mentorship and training initiative for under served boys impacted by poverty and crisis. Through art, photography, storytelling, and safe-space workshops, Barnabas is already mentoring 17 boys and has trained over 70. His story moved everyone and is onchain storytelling at its most human.

As Barnabas said, “A boy who can imagine more can become more.” His dream is to build a permanent creative hub to nurture the next generation of leaders and artists across Nigeria. His project is currently live on Artizen, with rewards like The Mentor Scroll and Love Letters from the Boys. Lynn has already grabbed both.

The $CREATE Catalyst Grant Goes Live
We were thrilled to officially launch the $CREATE Catalyst Grant Program, a joint initiative between The Creators and Incented. With 77 million $CREATE tokens allocated, the program invites creators of all kinds (builders, filmmakers, educators, developers, storytellers, artists, and more) to submit projects that bring value to the Base ecosystem.

Sven walked us through the application process live and even started an application for Barnabas on air. The platform supports milestone-based funding, private token-holder voting, and a transparent curation system. The Creators Grand Prix: NFT NYC
We shifted gears with a look at The Creators Grand Prix, our immersive racing game set in a 3D version of New York City, collecting tokens and competing for prizes in a cinematic, arcade-style event. Featuring glowing collectible tokens, avatar customization, and real in-game rewards, the game will debut at our in-person event on June 26, 2025 at the Producers Club in NYC, featuring panels, DJ Tonchu, prizes, and more. Come through if you’re in the city, but don't forget to register.

Attendees will race in the metaverse and the top finishers will win prizes IRL. The experience will also spotlight creators listed in our Creators Directory meaning your art could be showcased through the environment. The game is built using Base tooling and will be available post-event for everyone to play as well as a month long community event.

In honor of Barnabas and his commitment to mentorship, we hosted a GIVE Party using Coordinape's onchain attestation protocol. Checking Your Pulse: Coordinate’s New Mini App

Ryan opened the show by previewing Pulse, a still-under-wraps mini app built by Coordinape. Designed to visualize your onchain reputation, followers, and addestations from fellow humans. It’s a snapshot of how you're seen across Farcaster. Ryan demoed how easy it is to give kudos to creators (10 out of 10, obviously) and teased deeper features coming soon for $CO token holders. Stay tuned because this app isn’t just tracking vibes, it’s creating them.

Enter DRVN Labo: Real Cars, Real Culture, Onchain

Rex, founder of DRVN Labo, dropped by to showcase how they’re fractionalizing collector cars starting with Paul Walker’s 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena and building a DAO-powered car club. Through the $BSTR token, holders can co-own cars, vote on usage, and even take laps in them IRL. Ten percent of all token taxes go to Reach Out Worldwide and the Paul Walker Foundation. Oh, and a museum is coming in Austin TX. Yes, we squealed.

Bonus: DRVN is in talks to bring their iconic vehicles into The Creators Grand Prix game. Get ready to race a tokenized legend. (She may have cried after the show...)

Give Party Time: 3D Artist Recognition on Farcaster

We wrapped the episode with a live Give Party where everyone tossed onchain recognition to their favorite 3D artists. Shoutouts went to Tonchu, Keith, Stella, Lynn, and even Rex (who 3D prints car parts at home, mad respect). The party served as both a talent discovery engine and a reminder of what Web3 should be: creators uplifting each other.
