It is manufactured from fiberglass saturated with polyester or epoxy resin, forming a strong composite. Key properties of fiberglass include: Notably high strength even at thin thickness. A fiberglass sheet 2 mm thick can outperform 6 mm plywood in strength. Strong resistance to moisture and temperature fluctuations. It resists moisture, does not rot, expand, or crack when heated. Ability to fabricate complex and bent elements. Fiberglass is much easier to shape than plywood or MDF, allowing ergonomic shower trays, rounded furniture corners, and custom components. Minimal weight. This reduces the motorhome's total mass, benefiting fuel economy and safety. Long service life. With correct maintenance, the lifespan reaches 50–100 years and more without noticeable damage. Short durability Wooden plywood. If conditions are bad (moisture, heat, no protection), the lifespan with leaks is up to 12 months. In simple dampness conditions, lifespan is up to 2 years. Using waterproof plywood under condensation and heat, the lifespan can be up to 5 years.
