目前镜像的主要功能包括发表文章、NFT收藏、拍卖、众筹、收益分配、投票等。

在上一篇文章中，我详细介绍了如何发表文章和众筹。本文主要讲解近期收到的一些咨询问题和其他高级能力。

发表文章时的注意事项

For users who have not obtained creator permission (the top 10 votes in the past), mirror.xyz will not issue short domain names (similar to dev.mirror.xyz), so there is no unified external homepage for the published articles. It is recommended to browse mirror articles through a homepage extension provided by rss3: https://rss3.bio/0xxx, where 0x is the wallet address of the author who published the article.

When publishing an article, there is no network fee for unchecking the NFT option. Check the NFT option, you need to pay the network fee, at least dozens of dollars at a time. The sign of successful publishing is the unique storage address of ar generated at the bottom of the article.

When NFT is checked, a photo needs to be uploaded. The selected picture requires an aspect ratio of 2:1. Here you need to adjust the pixel ratio of the picture yourself, otherwise the upload will not be successful.

The meaning of checking NFT is to make the article as an NFT collection, which can be collected by readers, that is, it is realized. After this type of article is published, an NFT purchase interface will appear at the top of the article, where users can purchase the NFT of the article as a collection.

Unchecking NFT is similar to posting articles for free, without network fees, and no cash channel.

Initiate crowdfunding Crowdfunds

众筹使用向导式页面。按照步骤填写项目名称、图标（2:1）、Funding target raise target（最高20ETH）、Stretch目标溢出限额（即超过目标数量后，你愿意再收到多少ETH？ ，最大为20 ETH）、资金收款地址、Token name项目的Token名称、Token符号项目的Token名称（如DFGS）、Your Share的发起人比例、Story项目的活动（可以关注文章模式）写）。

填写完以上信息后，在Go live统一预览即可发起众筹。上线后，部分用户也会通过众筹购买，直接获得项目代币。

此代币可用于后续投票、社区活动、利润分配，也可用作DAO成员的代币等。

目前，据我了解，众筹没有自动结束时间。众筹结束需要发起者手动选择。时间长短取决于完成程度和项目需要。它可以在未达到 100% 目标的情况下结束。

发起拍卖 拍卖

竞价主要针对 NFT 集合。首先需要在以上5个平台上创建NFT集合，并填写对应平台的NFT ID发起竞价。

这里需要注意的是，填写的ID并不是NFT链上的地址，而是平台的ID。以 RARI 为例。生成 NFT 后，可以查看 NFT 的 URL 地址。分号后面的数字是ID。例如：

这里 1427386 是这个 NFT 的 ID。

在发起拍卖时，您需要设置 NFT 的最低价格。只有当有人第一次出价高于最低价时，拍卖才会开始。它每 15 分钟更新一次。如果没有人出更高的价格，则拍卖结​​束。

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said: “Jeremy Spence, a/k/a, ‘Coin Signals,’ admitted today to luring investors to his cryptocurrency investment scam by touting fictitious historical returns of up to 148%.  In reality, Spence’s investments consistently lost money, and his scam left investors with a $5 million loss. The bourgeoning cryptocurrency market can be attractive to investors; however, investors should be aware of the inherent risks, including the risk of fraud.”

According to the Indictment and the Complaint filed in this case, and statements made in open court:       

From November 2017 through April 2019, SPENCE solicited investors in various cryptocurrency investment pools that SPENCE had created and managed (the “Funds”). SPENCE solicited investments for several Funds, the largest and most active of which were the Coin Signals Bitmex Fund, a/k/a the “CS Mex Fund,” the Coin Signals Alternative Fund, a/k/a the “CS Alt Fund,” and the Coin Signals Long Term Fund. Investors who wanted to participate in a Fund would transfer cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, to SPENCE in order for SPENCE to invest it. 

SPENCE solicited these investments through false representations, including that SPENCE’s crypto trading had been extremely profitable when, in fact, SPENCE’s trading had been consistently unprofitable.  For example, on January 28, 2018, SPENCE posted a message in an online chat group falsely claiming that his trading of investor funds over the past month had generated a return of more than 148%. As a result of this misrepresentation, investors transferred additional funds to SPENCE. In fact, over that same period of approximately one month, SPENCE’s trading resulted in net losses in the accounts in which he traded investor funds.

To forestall redemptions by investors, and to continue to raise money from investors to fund his scheme, SPENCE generated fictitious account balances, which he made available to investors online. Instead of accurately reporting the trading losses SPENCE was incurring, the account balances falsely indicated to investors that they were making money by investing with SPENCE. To hide his trading losses, SPENCE used new investor funds to pay back other investors in a Ponzi-like fashion. In total, SPENCE distributed cryptocurrency worth approximately $2 million to investors substantially from funds previously deposited by other investors. 

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market value, fell 0.49 per cent in the last 24 hours and was trading at $57,152.39 at 7:30 am. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, rose 5.28 per cent in the last 24 hours and was trading at $4,708.27, according to coinmarketcap.com.

The price of Binance Coin (BNB) rose over 1.01 per cent in the last 24 hours and it was trading at $631.02. Tether (USDT) was fourth in the list by market cap and was trading at $1, witnessing a rise of 0.07 per cent. Solana (SOL) increased 3.34 per cent in the last 24 hours and was at the fifth position in the coinmarketcap.com list; it was trading at a price of $212.47.

Biggest Gainer and Loser

Prince Floki V2 (PRINCEFLOKI) became the biggest gainer in the last 24 hours, clocking a rise of 545.48 per cent; it was trading at $0.00000001522 at 7:30 am. Cross Chain Capital (CCC) lost the most in the last 24 hours, falling 91.04 per cent, and was trading at $0.0000008142.

二层方面，dYdX 与 Arbitrum 持续登榜，分别占据 24% 与 56% 的主要市场份额。不过，相较两周前的关注度，Arbitrum 热度有所减退，下滑至热搜榜第 12 名。9 月 20 日主网上线的以太坊二层网络 Boba Network 热度持续攀升，过去七天 TVL 增量 52.04%，在二层协议中排名第七。然而，需要提示用户的一点是，Boba Network 锁仓量中原生代币 OMG 的占比高达 97.48% ，这意味着该协议可能容易受到单边操纵并且流动性较差。

The company isn’t offering many details about the upcoming project just yet, beyond simply saying that it will involve creating a place where its fans can buy, collect and trade NFTs across its portfolio. It also notes this platform will encourage “peer-to-peer engagement and facilitate innovative ways for users to unlock new experiences,” which signals there’s a social element to the new experience that goes beyond just the marketplace aspects.

Recur, which recently closed on a $50 million Series A, valuing the pre-launch company at $333 million, is currently working on building an NFT platform called NFTU.com. This platform is being created in partnership with digital licensing company Veritone, and will host NFTs created with Pac-12 Networks athletics video content — like sports highlights, for example.

This project can give you an idea of what ViacomCBS likely has in store with its own NFT plans.

While a number of other NFT marketplaces already exist, Recur’s plan is to develop technology that standardizes recurring royalties minted on any cryptocurrency — a decision that means NFTs would become “chain-agnostic,” bringing more potential fans into the crypto ecosystem. For brand partners and IP holders, that means once the NFT left their own, originating platform to be resold elsewhere, the original rights holder would be able to continue to receive recurring royalties from the sales and resales indefinitely.

That could certainly look appealing to a media company with a deep catalog of IP that could be turned into digital collectibles. Think: Spongebob Squarepants, South Park or Star Trek collectibles, for instance. (To be clear, ViacomCBS has not announced the specific shows it will include in its initial distributions. And there could be more complicated rights discussions to still be ironed out with creators, actors and others tied to its IP before those determinations can be made.)

In addition, Recur’s chain-agnostic approach will allow NFT purchases to be made using U.S. credit and debit cards, instead of just cryptocurrencies. That could also appeal to a company looking to reach a wider audience outside of tech early adopters.

The new platform — essentially a white-labeled marketplace Recur will provide — launches in the spring of 2022, says ViacomCBS.

ViacomCBS is not the first media company to embrace NFTs. In addition to adoption by top media figures themselves, brands including CNN, The New Yorker, Time, Playboy, Lionsgate, Media Central, Gannett, Fox and others have also begun their own investigations and experiments into the medium.

“Fueled by beloved characters and iconic properties with multi-generational appeal, we are thrilled to accelerate our consumer products presence even further into the growing metaverse,” said Pam Kaufman, ViacomCBS president of Consumer Products, in a statement. “In teaming up with Recur to create an NFT platform dedicated to ViacomCBS IP, voracious collectors and first-time NFT buyers alike will find unique opportunities to own a piece of their favorite franchises,” she added.

ViacomCBS told us the more immediate focus is not on monetization via NFT sales, but rather sees the platform as a community-building and fan engagement effort.

the big thing

The NFT market is still defying reason, but then again that’s kind of its thing. But one thing I’m especially unsure about lately as I see JPGs continue to sell for millions of dollars is… does any of this actually matter?

I’ve spent a lot of time over the last year grappling with the NFT market, at times I’ve lost sleep over it. As a reporter frequently covering this market, I don’t own or trade the little images myself, but that hasn’t stopped me from obsessing over the fluctuations in their prices and scouring Discords trying to follow the trends. I’ve tuned into countless Twitter Spaces and lurked subreddits trying to understand it all. I’ve also done my best to keep most of that out of this newsletter — it’s a weird niche interest that’s especially niche at the moment — but as Bitcoin flirts with a new all-time-high and the NFT mania persists, just consider this a timely update.

So, in the past month, investors have continued dropping billions upon billions of dollars on NFTs. OpenSea has seen more than $3 billion in transaction volume in the past 30 days, and that number is actually way down quite a bit from August, showcasing just how much off-peak money continues to flow into NFTs.

All of that money has gone to some colorful places. One of the bigger success stories of the past month has been the platform CrypToadz which investors dumped $100 million into. They look like this. In the past couple weeks, a brand new project called MekaVerse saw $130 million in transaction volume. They’re a bit prettier, but would you spend more than $8,000 on one? The platform Cryptoslam (where I pulled most of the data I reference here) is tracking 163 platforms which did more than $1 million in volume in the past 30 days, a number which doesn’t even account for individual artists selling their work on platforms like OpenSea.

The gambling regulator did not take enforcement action against the platform but warned players that its activities fall outside the scope of regulated gambling activity in the country. It also said it was “carrying out inquiries” into the company to determine whether or not it required an operating license and whether or not its activities constitute gambling.

What is SoRare.com?

NFTs have been one of the hot trends in the digital currency and blockchain industry this year, and along with DeFi, millions of speculators have flooded into the space in the hope of making quick gains. To meet this demand, platforms that list NFTs have sprung up on almost all major blockchains.

SoRare.com is an Ethereum-based NFT platform that facilitates the trade of NFT player cards from more than 120 football clubs. This is no fly-by-night operation, either, as earlier this year, it raised more than $680 million in a funding round led by SoftBank.

Despite the backing of major financial players, regulators are cracking down on platforms like SoRare.com and others. CoinGeek reporters have been working overtime this year to report on regulatory crackdowns on virtually every facet of the digital currency industry, from NFT platforms to Coinbase Lend to BTC and Tether.

Once again, we see evidence in this latest notice by the UKGC that no matter how big the financial backers, and no matter how hot the trend, regulators are waking up and, at the very least, asking increasingly pointed questions about what’s legal and what’s not in this space.

CoinGeek New York panels on NFTs and iGaming

As it happens, we covered both iGaming and NFTs at the recent CoinGeek conference in New York.

On iGaming, we learned that companies are working with regulators to promote the BSV blockchain as a solution for increasing transparency and making regulatory compliance and enforcement easier. We learned how one such firm, Crucial Compliance, is working with nChain to use its Kensei product for such purposes. We also learned that regulators are fully on board with this since it will make real-time compliance and enforcement easier.

Other related panels covered how BSV is being used in esports and efforts to usher in responsible gambling efforts. The key takeaway in all of these panels? BSV is in the process of transforming iGaming, and regulators like it.

On NFTs, we learned how many are concerned about entering the space because of the carbon footprints of unscalable blockchains like Ethereum, how some have concerns about the viability of the whole business model of NFTs (currently speculation), and how pro fighters like UFC legend Rory MacDonald are using BSV to mint NFTs.

We also learned how the low cost of minting NFTs on BSV, typically two or three cents as compared to hundreds of dollars on Ethereum, is increasing accessibility to NFTs, allowing lower-cost NFTs to be minted, and making for innovative use-cases like ticket NFTs which have real-world utility.

It's being offered as a "non-fungible token" (NFT), a way of owning the original digital image.

Where Bitcoin was hailed as the digital answer to currency, NFTs are now being touted as the digital answer to collectables, but plenty of sceptics fear they're a bubble waiting to burst.

What is a non-fungible token?

In economics, a fungible asset is something with units that can be readily interchanged - like money.

With money, you can swap a £10 note for two £5 notes and it will have the same value.

However, if something is non-fungible, this is impossible - it means it has unique properties so it can't be interchanged with something else.

It could be a house, or a painting such as the Mona Lisa, which is one of a kind. You can take a photo of the painting or buy a print but there will only ever be one original painting.

NFTs are "one-of-a-kind" assets in the digital world that can be bought and sold like any other piece of property, but which have no tangible form of their own.

The digital tokens can be thought of as certificates of ownership for virtual or physical assets.

How do NFTs work?

Traditional works of art such as paintings are valuable precisely because they are one of a kind.

But digital files can be easily and endlessly duplicated.

With NFTs, artwork can be "tokenised" to create a digital certificate of ownership that can be bought and sold.
