Life must be lived. If not, we're just living to die...

I used to think that life was about pursuing great things, working and being very ambitious but as I grew into an adult, I realise that the real value is found in supporting other people and being present for those you love and care for...

To be extremely present is to be attentive and compassionate, and those qualities are actually harder than we think because the world is constantly fighting for our attention. We give life to what we focus on and as a founder, all of my focus is usually on my startup or myself. I feel selfish sometimes... but hey, who can pour from an empty cup?

You have to build who you are first before expending yourself to the point that your cup is rarely ever full...

This isn't to say that you have to be selfish, but that there's a point where overextending yourself is a risk to your success and livelihood. At what point do you put yourself first when you're a selfless person who gives everything they have? It's hard to combat your own generosity...

Our existence slowly fades with each bit of attention we so mindlessly give away.

Fighting for your own internal survival and happiness is very key because only then are you able to share it with others without feeling drained or useless to the next person who requires you to pour into their cup.

It's a battle that every generous person faces and tbh with you, I envy those who don't care as much... It takes a level of ignorance that I simply do not have. I care deeply and would always love to support anyone that I can. It's a part of my character and it'll never fade.

At the end of the day, we aren't living for ourselves...

When all is said and done, and you've achieved and done everything beyond your wildest dreams, the goal is to then help those around you do the same. So if our end goal is to support others, why is that not a rule we follow today?

Life is sustainable when you consider what you can comfortably do forever...

The one thing that I want you guys to take away from this is that:

We exist to simply serve others but before we're able to, we must pour into ourselves with intention...

No skill can be attained without focus. We have to be intentional with how we choose to build ourselves as it'll determine the weight of our character. No shortcuts.

Just hardcore work and locking in daily.

We build as we go.

I, Naaif Ali, exist to serve others🫡

See you in the next article :)

By: Naaif Ali (NALI)
