However, his rockstar lifestyle was marked by intense touring schedules, lack of sleep and substance abuse. This took a significant toll on his mental health and body as a whole.

Elvis consumed a typical Standard American Diet consisting of foods like pizza, biscuits, cheeseburgers, and fried chicken. He washed his meals down with many sodas and It was reported that he consumed 10,000 to 12,000 calories a day. In his monologues during his shows, he spoke of his love for burgers and Pepsi. His girlfriend stated that he structured his entire life around food.

As Elvis got heavier, the criticism of his weight started to bother him. This caused him to try many things like weight loss pills, juicing and very low-calorie diets. Some of the extreme things he did include a jelly only diet made from black cherry soda and bananas and a 500 calories per day diet. He also exercised daily and was a very active individual. He played football, practiced martial arts and his energetic shows were practically a weighted cardio workout for him. However, none of these efforts proved effective in achieving and sustaining a healthy weight.

Elvis in the 1970s, performing in one of his iconic jumpsuits during a Las Vegas show.

In the 1970s he attempted a medically induced coma on the advice of a Las Vegas Doctor. The goal of this was to forcefully stop himself from eating and lose weight. Elvis went through with this and ended up falling out of his hospital bed and waking himself up early. Elvis then realized this was too dangerous and decided not to go through with it again.

It really shouldn’t take a genius to figure out that forcing someone unconscious and administering copious amounts of sedatives into their blood is harmful. This doctor should have been imprisoned for helping Elvis go through with this. Doctors are supposed to be health experts and guide us in the right direction. This doctor did anything but that.

A picture of Elvis sleeping.

Elvis suffered from disordered eating habits. His peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich was a staple for him and was made available in many restaurants worldwide after his death. The Standard American Diet (SAD) is a completely inappropriate diet for the human species. The lack of nutrients in plants/sugar and its inflammatory addictive nature will manifest problems in any human being.

Most of the pictures you see of Elvis online show a youthful lean charming Elvis. However, towards the latter part of his career, he ballooned in weight and frequently abused drugs. He used opioids to try and manage pain, powerful sedatives to sleep and stimulants to stay awake. In 1973 he was hospitalized for pethidine addiction and overdosed twice on barbiturates. He continued to earn significant amounts of money from his successful career yet he just couldn’t get a grip on his health.

He suffered a heart attack on August 16, 1977, weighing 350 pounds and was found with more than 10 drugs in his system. These include Codeine, Morphine, Butabartibal and countless more. His doctor wrote him prescriptions for over 10,000 doses of narcotics, amphetamines and sedatives in just his final year alive. He suffered from numerous complications as a result of his diet/drugs, including glaucoma, liver damage, and high blood pressure.

Elvis ultimately died because the food he was eating wasn’t making him happy and actually very unhealthy. He then turned to drugs for a solution until it ultimately killed him. He weighed 180 pounds more than just a mere decade before, dying at the young age of 42.

He tried exercise.

He tried extreme calorie restriction.

He tried various amounts of drugs.

None of this was able to offset his poor SAD diet.

We failed Elvis Presley.

<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/1a9380d64ca18df2c702ab16c2b3dc2633354e348c69d8c2d008c2d564125e1d.jpg" alt="Rest In Peace Elvis Presley. He was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary Indiana and started his career as a child in the late 1960s alongside his older brothers in a group called the Jackson 5.

He was a vegetarian who mainly ate vegetables and lean meats like chicken or turkey making sure to avoid red meat.

He suffered from vitiligo starting in the early 1980s which made his skin noticeably lighter due to loss of pigmentation, becoming whiter in appearance.

During the filming of a Pepsi commercial in January 1984, Michael Jackson suffered burns to his scalp from a pyrotechnic effect gone wrong. It caused second and third-degree burns all over his head. It caused him severe pain and led to him undergoing plastic surgery.

This surgery marked the beginning of his cosmetic surgeries and how he got addicted to them over the years to follow.

So now the beautiful Michael Jackson that everyone at the time watched grow and bloom into this musical star is now slowly transforming over the years into something he shouldn’t have been.

Michael Jackson at the American Cinema Awards - 1990

It created many tabloid rumors like skin bleaching and how he didn’t want to be black. He faced many comedic and derogatory remarks from the people, media and public figures. They ridiculed his appearance, claimed that he was rejecting black culture and made comedy of his situation. These comments hurt Michael Jackson to the core because it was something he truly couldn’t control or at least he thought.

A diet full of vegetables/carbs/sugar has manifested all sorts of problems throughout humanity. If Michael Jackson had simply elected to do a Carnivore Diet he would have never suffered from vitiligo and not had to deal with the stress. I’ve broken down in other articles all the things wrong with sugar so be sure to check out those but to put it simply inflammation starts and ends with sugar/carbs/vegetables. He avoided the one food that contained all essential nutrients, meat and ate an extremely inflammatory diet made up of toxic deficient vegetables and damaging sugar.

Surgery is also another issue in our society that has become normalized when it’s purely unnecessary and harmful. The most important factor in recovering from something is REST, we simply need to let the body do what it has evolved to do. The body produces proteins and new cells to repair damaged tissues like muscles, skin and organs. Collagen production also increases which is critical for wound healing. Species-appropriate eating along with rest is the best tool in the toolbox for enabling your body to heal the best.

Surgery should be the ULTIMATE last resort as cutting open a human body in of itself is very traumatic! It is also so naive for us to think that we can alter the body better than millions of years of evolution.

Michael Jackson underwent several cosmetic procedures throughout the years which are speculated to be rhinoplasty, a chin implant, cheek implants, lip augmentation, eyelid surgery, and a forehead lift. This is only speculation based on his appearance as he kept his medical history private. These surgeries were all unnecessary and damaging to Michael Jackson.

In an interview with Oprah, he stated: “I’m never satisfied with how I look”.

Towards the end of his life, he suffered from chronic pain, insomnia, and substance abuse. These health issues collectively impacted his well-being and ultimately led to his death on June 25, 2009,from an overdose at the young age of 50.

We failed Michael Jackson.

<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/d4a3f5424d71121bdc354b2e99cdcabfbef86d28da055443385ba2a3e7fef657.jpg" alt="Rest In Peace Michael Jackson. Marbling is encompassing a picture from a website inside a randomly generated card of abundant colors. This quick article will be going over why you should take a look at Marble.Cards, which I think has the potential to emerge as a prominent scene of art in the future of crypto.

What makes it so special?

Some of my favorite cards from my collection.

What makes Marble Cards so special is a variety of things, the first thing being the fact that each link can only be marbled once. So essentially a moment in time on the internet is being incorporated into your collection forever as an NFT! An NFT is a Non-fungible token, which is a digital asset that’s represented on a blockchain (Ethereum in this case) with a unique identification code. This verifies you as the sole owner of it and cannot be replicated.

I believe there is great gratification that one can take by finding something they love on the internet and marbling it into their collection. This NFT can then be sold or traded to anyone. What makes marble cards so valuable is the ability to marble your favorite personality or tweet from a site like Twitter.com or a historical icon on Wikipedia.org, the possibilities are truly endless.

The marbles on the cards are vibrant and distinctive. You will often end up getting a pattern that meshes with the image or you can always just remarble the card for 10 MEM, which is the site’s cryptocurrency. Most of the time the marble gods will be in your favor allowing you to score a pattern that meshes just right with the card. However, sometimes you will left be chasing that pattern you really want and have to remarble and remarble and remarble and…yea fun, right?

Support your favorite artists!

A look at some popular creators and a few freshly signed cards.

Another feature that makes Marbles Card important is its constant onboarding of artists onto the platform. People can support their favorite artists by marbling their art into cards and requesting a signature at a set minimum MEM price of the creator.

These creators will receive 20% royalties if the card is sold and if you perform well with a signed card in the arena, both you and the artist will benefit from daily MEM rewards! This presents a nice opportunity for creators to build relations with their fans by asking them to marble their work from Opensea, Twitter or wherever else their art is located.

Do you have some nice cards that you marbled from your favorite artists? Do you wish to get a nice signature of approval from them on your work? Try DMing them something like this.

“Hey, I’m a big fan! I was wondering if you could maybe sign this Marble Card, it would really mean the world to me! A marble card is basically like a card design of an internet URL that can only be collected once. I marbled this specific URL because (insert your reasoning).”

If they say yes, you can ask them to take a look at this quick application process link where they can apply and get to signing cards!

A look at the quick smooth process to become a verified creator and start signing cards!

Vote and enter cards into the arena. You can enter cards into the arena for 1 MEM or earn MEM daily by voting on others’ submissions. The arena consists of a host of differently themed arenas in which you can enter your card or vote on other people’s submitted cards. At the end of every month or so depending on the arena you will earn achievements which will show up on your profile as well as alongside the card.

Some achievements earned by the artist Wayfinder on marble.cards.

These achievements do stack as long as you qualify to keep submitting the card into that arena category. There are some staple arenas like #NiceCards, #FreshMints or #Autographs which are pretty self-explanatory and there are often new arenas that open up for new website collection releases. This presents a rare opportunity for people to earn badges from brand new arenas while also stacking up achievements going head to head in the classic arenas. Typically poaching will transpire when the card is within its final few minutes so if you want to secure your card you can always poach it yourself. If you are poached you will be given back 30% of the sale price in MEM or if you opt to self poach you’ll receive 50% of your MEM back so this gives you a pretty beneficial scenario. So alongside the chance to mint your favorite links before somebody else can, your card also has a chance to be within this rarity represented by the card number being highlighted gold. This gives people an event to actively look forward to participating in, with cards abound to marble and poachers lurking.

What a cute little gold card!

There are also cards like genesis cards which are the first 33 cards minted, 966 origin cards which came after genesis and special edition cards created by an artist usually coinciding with some special milestone.

Who is Cell?

Cell is a character from the hit show Dragon Ball Z by Akira Toriyama. He was created by an evil scientist with the genes of all the greatest fighters on Earth. His sole goal was to absorb Android 17 and 18's infinite energy to become the perfect being.

Throughout this article, we’ll be evaluating the transitions he went through along with some of his flaws and strengths and what we can take from them.

Why Cell should resonate with you.

Cell has a personality that is quite unique due mainly to his genetic composition of fighters like Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo. We see variations of it manifest throughout the progression of the series which both advances and inhibits his goal. The dynamic of Cell’s character relates to us humans with the ever-constant tide of emotions we face in stages of our life but there are some notable deviations that differentiate us ultimately from Cell.

Humans are typically born into this world shaped by everything around them before finding their “purpose”. This purpose for Cell however was already within him and the landscape that laid upon him as a consequence was now effectively his predetermined playground. Cell in being designed to evolve had no free will with respect to his core fundamentals. This led to Cell essentially having a barrier to his freedom and as a result, having to create his own liberty from within the confines of his genetics.

Imperfect Form

"I don't understand why creatures so defective are ever allowed to live. Oh well. It will soon be corrected." - Imperfect Cell

In Cell’s first form, he is rather fixed on the pursuit of his goals. He approached situations with a sense of tact knowing that the goal of perfection was what he was after. In this state, Cell was humble, laying low of Earth’s mightiest warriors taking time to absorb humans to increase his power in wait for the Androids.

Cell never underestimated his opponent and fought in the confidence of his capabilities neutralizing a threat like Piccolo when he had to. When he was seemingly defeated to onlookers by the formidable and knowledgable Android 16 he then proceeded to sneak up on the more-so arrogant forewarned Android 17 and absorb him taking one more step towards perfection.

Desire

I think we can all relate to coming up in the world and trying to make or leave a mark. While we navigate our way to the pursuit of our goals, we observe individuals by careful analysis with respect to what possible deterrent or incentive they could be for our present and future. If there’s a competitor in our way we seek to carefully manage our way around him, befriend him or go directly at him. When you’re at the bottom of anything all you just want to do is crawl out of it and move forward like Cell. The ever-persistent desire for progress and advancement in life burns passionately within us all.

Semi-Perfect Form

"Ah, new look...much more comely than the last" - Semi-Perfect Cell

With Cell’s second form his appearance has changed to more of a humanoid state and his power has elevated dramatically. Once he achieves this form he has a disregard for absorbing any other creatures becoming rather impatient and arrogant in sole sights of Android 18. His arrogance however would be brief as he is soon combatted by a foe he shares genes with and is more powerful than him, Vegeta in his advanced Super Saiyan form. When Cell frustratingly realizes he is outmatched he shows a hint of desperation and taps into his inherent intellect to appeal to Vegeta’s arrogance and Saiyan Pride, convincing him to allow him to absorb Android 18 to attain his Perfect Form.

Cell briefly shows more reckless behavior after being unable to find Android 18, as he then proceeds to impatiently blow up a mass amount of islands in an attempt to find her not caring if she was destroyed as a result.

Pride

Everyone can relate to the natural tenacity of wanting to survive. We have all been hit by the ever-strong wall that is reality and while frustrating even when seemingly bound by our limits be it physical or otherwise we seek to overcome it in whatever way possible. When we gain power or a position in life we like to think we’re untouchable as Cell thought he was but the truth hurts and he was humbled by it. Cell put aside his pride as he was now able to rationalize the situation and set sights on his original purpose knowing that this feeling of defeat would only be temporary which inspired him to go on. We’ve all had to conform to a person or policy at one point or another and while it may seem infuriating at first we’re able to internalize the situation and look forward knowing it’s in our best interest. Where we differ from Cell is that we are afforded many paths which we can take in life to reach our goals but pride is something that can inhibit or benefit anyone.

Perfect Form

"I have got to show you, young warrior, what I’m truly capable of." - Perfect Cell

After Cell absorbs Android 18 he has now at long last attained his Perfect Form in which he turns fully humanoid with a normal nose and mouth. He’s become more narcissistic and patronizing as a result of his huge power increase. Once he takes this form he comes to the realization that he has no other purpose and even the intended objective assigned by Dr. Gero to kill Goku would not satisfy him. This leads to him starting the Cell Games which would be a world tournament where he would test his abilities against the Earth’s strongest fighters who had 10 days to prepare.

Cell draws pleasure in this form from terrorizing citizens of the Earth in the countdown to the day of the tournament. Like Goku, he is much more relaxed and confident, not losing his composure until he was faced with a prospect that could be stronger than him. He grew bored with fighters that could not challenge him ending the fight quickly while on the other hand limiting himself like in the battle with Super Saiyan 2 Gohan where there was potential for more.

Balance

There are many instances of humans achieving something long desired without feeling fulfilled. When individuals get to the highest stage and accomplish something there are often thoughts within of “Is this it? Is it really over?”. This is because when you become so triumphant it pressures you to do more or you’ll resort to being more comfortable and not feeling a need to do anything else substantial. It’s important to recognize that victory is only a stepping stone to where you truly want to be. What we can take from Cell is that we should have a more balanced mindset and always leave room for improvement.

Self Destruction

"Boy, this is the end for you! You thought you could beat me, but you can't! Ha ha ha! I'm going to blow myself up now! And I'm going to take you with me! Say goodbye to your precious planet!" - Semi-Perfect Cell

As Cell was thoroughly outmatched he then begins to fight in disbelief as even he at maximum power didn’t faze Super Saiyan 2 Gohan. Cell demonstrates frustration throughout this fight in many ways, the first instance is one where he has finally awakened his full power and Super Saiyan 2 Gohan isn’t fazed in the slightest proceeding to thrash Cell. Cell then begins to rise high into the sky and direct one of his most powerful attacks called the Kamehameha at the Earth in an effort to get a response to his full power from Gohan after a series of range attacks have virtually no effect. Gohan then proceeds to fire his own Kamehameha which powers completely through the attack and leaves Cell almost completely decimated with an arm, leg and part of his head gone. Cell then proceeds to regenerate before trying one last desperate power-up which increases his muscles but sacrifices his speed and as a result, Gohan kicks him in the stomach making him regurgitate Android 18 leading to the end of his Perfect Form.

Cell has now reverted to his Semi-Perfect Form and knowing there is no possible path to victory, he inflates himself with energy in an attempt to blow up the earth.

Understand

When humans are denied their ultimate goal, pride is something we have a hard time coming to grips with. We’ve seen it occur many times in history for example when Germany was realizing that the war shifted and that they were now on the losing side, Adolf Hitler amongst several other generals at the head decided to commit suicide. When an individual becomes proficient in an area and centers his entire life on trying to accomplish one thing, the reality of being denied it is often too much to overcome. Cell shows us that we should leave room open within ourselves to understand each other as no one can truly be perfect. We can only be a guide to influence others through the strengths and weaknesses one has gathered throughout the course of life.

What can we learn from Cell?

“At last. All that I have ever imagined is now mine. I have become what no other could ever achieve. I am perfect.” - Cell

What we can ultimately learn from Cell is that there is beauty in the journey for perfection but the steps you take to solidify who you are along the way matter just as much as the end goal. Cell shows us that you should find a connection at every stage of life you’re in because when we gain power, the search for something to satisfy us will renew again. When it comes down to it you should always be able to count on the things that got you there along with the genuine happiness that truly fills your heart. Cell lost himself in absorbing the Androids as they took away from the original characteristics that made him who he was with Android 17 being cockier and Android 18 condescending. Cell wasn’t able to rely on true jubilation or wisdom which you can attribute mostly to his genetics but thankfully humans aren’t designed that way. We have the freedom to forge our path while connecting with others and that is what we should enjoy the most.

"I AM PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" - Cell's final words

This article will reflect on the ancient history of energy preservation, my philosophy, and the undeniable benefits.

The cost we pay.

When you choose to release your energy for “hobby” you are taking this power of bringing life into this world for granted.

Let’s talk about “self-pleasure” for a second.

Have you ever noticed that anything in this world that abuses human function usually has a drawback? There is a cost we pay for everything whether it’s excessive food consumption or releasing our energy. This ultimate cost that we are paying ties into our mental and physical states.

What exactly is happening when your energy is released?

The loss of pure life.

When you release your energy all focus will be lost until the end of the day. Your eyes will have the inability to be genuinely interested in anything and a general sense of irritability will fall upon you. You may try to focus but the eye will just wander effortlessly. An activity like reading a book would be a nightmare for you.

This is my experience during times of having a series of frequent wet dreams. (Note that no matter how your energy is released whether it’s sex, masturbation or wet dreams the result is still the same.).

I call this the seven days of desolation.

Days 1 and 2: This is the day that follows after you have lost your energy. It starts at 12:00 AM midnight. The first day is a day where you can just be grateful to have your focus back however a general feeling of irritability and emptiness will befall you. I would argue this effect is greater on day 2 as day 1 seems to have a carryover effect for a day you would have had hadn’t you released your energy. (side note I noticed that my connection would also lag like crazy in video games, coincidence? I don’t think so, I think our frequencies matter a great deal in life.)

Days 3, 4, and 5: On the third day it may seem tolerable and have the appearance of normal but this is a facade and persistent focus is limited, nevertheless your spirit/morale is beginning to fill up. Day 4 is a state of continuing improvement and an aura of onsetting connectivity with the world is noticeably starting again. Day 5 is just generally good, another layer of the previous effects have been added on top.

Days 6 and 7: Day 6 is the trap day it’ll seem like a normal day and it’s really on the peak of being there but it’s simply still lacking. You can rest in subtle delight however as you have improved and improved each day until the eventual arrival of day 7 where it couldn’t be more normal.

It does continue to get progressively better after these days as well but after normality has been restored the differences aren’t worth paying too much attention too. You can simply rest in the joy of the world being returned to you and the showering of senses which is exuberant.

These wet dreams all happened during my time on keto and they tended to happen on occasions where I would go to bed early then wake up in the middle of the night and fall asleep again.(I did have a few violent nightmares as well). I’ve since corrected this by transitioning to the carnivore diet, not ever going to sleep stressed(taking time to unwind through meditation, music or reading) and being more productive in the day.

Okay so energy is important but is it really that important?

You have the power so why not use it?

Energy allows a human the power to have more accessibility to life and more readily consume the inherent elements as well. You may try watching an Anime or TV series during these string of days (which I wish on no man) and notice how the elements of the sound, background and visuals come together in a vibrant dynamic fashion. You could also try reading a book and note day by day how you are able to retain information more fluidly. All of these fundamentals apply with the real world as well. Nature will progressively and simply look more and more beautiful.

A lot of people in this existence numb themself to the beautiful world through vapid forms of entertainment, loud music, food and drugs. We have a beautiful power to connect to this world and it’s time we plug ourselves in.

Nothing is worth your energy except life itself.

Your body is designed to procreate and by holding onto the culmination of your essence you are able to shift this power into a new life, a youth and your future prodigy.

Masturbation

Remain pure

I haven’t engaged in masturbation since 2019 and will never ever capitulate to such a vile self-destructive behavior again. I was exposed to these elements as a kid and no kid deserves to see material like that, every kid deserves a fair shot and I truly had no clue what I was stumbling into. You’ll consume yourself into thinking that it’s the reward of human life but all it does is simply reduce to you to infinite desolation. The best way to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future with your kid is starting with yourself. It begins with being more responsible and wholesome as an individual. Once your spirit is defined and grounded you can reciprocate this to your child. You need to be a strong structure for yourself, your wife and kid.

A man who masturbates in my view is a man who is in the forever searching of satisfaction and nothing will ever be enough for him as his soul is truly empty. The most fulfilling things in life are actually quite simple like walking through nature, reading a book, pursuing a passion or spending wholesome time with others.

Ancient History of energy preservation

The founders of sports Greece certainly understood the importance of energy conservation.

Ancient Greece went through great lengths to preserve their energy going so far as to apply the act of infibulation. Self control was important and your sperm was seen as a source of strength. We’ve been normalized to a luxury of freedom in this modern age but it’s important to remember to focus on life and not transient pleasures.

My favorite historical reference on this matter is from the Greek teacher Philostratus, he was born in 170 AD during the Roman imperial period. This is the lone surviving ancient literature on sports. I’ll end with this profound quote from his work Gymnasticus and leave a few more words.

"Those who come to the gymnasium straight after sex are exposed by a greater number of indicators when they train, for their strength is diminished and they are short of breath and lack daring in their attacks, and they fade in colour in response to exertion, and they can be detected by signs of that sort; and when they strip, their hollow collar-bones give them away, their poorly structured hips, the conspicuous outline of their ribs, and the coldness of their blood. These athletes, even if we dedicated ourselves to them, would have no chance of being crowned [i.e. winning victory] in any contest. The part beneath the eyes is weak, the beating of their hearts is weak, their perspiration is weak, their sleep, which controls digestion, is weak, and their eyes glance around in a wandering fashion and indicate an appearance of lustfulness…. If an athlete has just had sex, it is better for him not to exercise. In what sense are they men, those who exchange crowns and victory announcements for disgraceful pleasures? But if they must undergo training, let them be trained, but with the caveat that their strength and their breathing must be closely observed; for these are the things which are damaged most by the pleasures of sex." (Gymnasticus 48 and 52).

<img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/20ae67e1a32c17866e298004c9f2059c2662718fab17fc0af1d57f4f8e450061.jpg" alt="We should never forget the roots in which all things lie...
