It is even more surprising that, although most respondents predict that the universe will have a positive impact on client satisfaction and participation, less than half of them express the interest of their clients in conducting business conferences through penultimates.

While the universe is still at an early stage, experience over the past few decades has shown that new technologies are rapidly evolving and that they will fall far short of response. Most of the respondents indicated that their enterprises had invested less than 5 per cent of the total technical budget. More worrisome, only 34 per cent of respondents considered that the construction of commercial applications was a key step towards better implementation of their cosmic strategy.

The Turkish general election, to be held on 14 May, attracted a global vision.

This general election will affect not only the re-election of its current President, Erdoğan, the fate of Turkey, but even the fate of Syria, the expansion of the European Union.

Since 2003, Erdoğan has served as the Turkish Prime Minister for 11 years, followed by the first direct Turkish presidential election in 2014 and the successful re-election in 2018, which means that he has been President of Turkey for nine years.

Although in Turkey the President is the symbol of the State and the Prime Minister has power, it is widely felt that Erdoğan has been “in power” for 20 years.

During that period, the economy of Turkey had emerged from the economic crisis, the prospects for foreign trade had been skyrocketed, and a large number of new infrastructure had been built; political Turkey had been transformed from a parliamentary to a presidential system through a popular referendum, and had long served as an important country to which the three parties had tried to pursue.

However, an increasing number of voters have lost their confidence in Erdoğan following an up to 85 per cent inflation rate and the tragic earthquake of February this year. The high cost of living and the challenge of post-earth reconstruction have become the “casing” of Erdoğan.

The Turkish earthquake of February this year claimed more than 50,000 lives and over 5 million homes. (Figure: social media)

On 12 May, local time, with the re-election of one of the presidential candidates, the balance of the reconciliation was broken, and more voters turned to support the rival of Erdoğan, Kolzida Olu.

According to a survey conducted on 12 May by the Turkish Civil Service Agency, Konda, the support rate in Eldoğan was 43.7 per cent and the support rate in Kolzidao was 49.3 per cent.

According to the Turkish electoral law, the two candidates with the highest number of votes cast in the presidential election, if no candidate obtains more than 50 per cent of the votes, entered the second round. During the second ballot, the candidates obtaining the largest number of votes won.

At present, there is a general forecast among the major civil service that the general elections will enter the second round, while the victory in Erdoğan is not high.

“Eldoğan economics” came to the head?

As the first President of Turkey was elected in 2014, Erdoğan committed that Turkey would become one of the 10 major economies of the world in 2023, and that per capita GDP would increase from $11,300 to $25,000.

But it is clear that he has failed to honour his commitments.

According to World Bank data as of April this year, Turkey is the world’s 19th largest economy, while per capita GDP declined to $10661, with external debt exceeding half of GDP. Last October, the inflation rate in Turkey was up to 85 per cent. Despite the drop of the officially announced inflation rate to 44 per cent in March this year, there has been little public awareness of a marked improvement.

In fact, Eldoğan has saved such a situation, but the situation today is no longer relevant to him.

How can Eldoğan take up his post in the image of “survivors” and now he “self-help”? (figure: social media)

In 2002, before Prime Minister Erdoğan, the Turkish inflation rate was more than 50 per cent, the economy collapsed and the Government had to seek assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He and his Justice and Development Party (hereinafter referred to as the Parti pour la justice et le développement) have, after taking power, contributed significantly to Turkey’s economic reforms, the establishment of independent central banks, banking and financial regulators, and the privatization of the public sector. In just a few years, the growth of tourism, the growth of foreign trade and the influx of large amounts of foreign investment have brought a virtuous opportunity for Turkey.

According to the World Bank, Turkey’s GDP growth rate was 11.2 per cent in 2011. Between 2003 and 2019, the proportion of people living on less than $1.9 per day fell from 3.9 per cent to 0.4 per cent.

However, the global financial environment has deteriorated since 2018, allowing the highly indebted and inflationary Turkish economy to begin the downward path.

Of the many economic commitments under Eldoğan, it seems that only one has allowed him to comply with the present, which is low interest rates. From 1950 to the present, the Government of Erdoğan has dismissed four governors. He has constantly called on the central bank to shrink from inflation, an act that prevents many Western economic scholars from thinking.

Although there had been a short-lived “fake video” of precipitation, the Turkish currency, Riera’s credit frequency, had been damaged, and the exchange rate on the United States dollar had fallen to 90 per cent since Eldoğan’s appointment as Prime Minister, making external debt more distant. Eventually, Turkey’s inflation rate peaked at 85 per cent last October.

The depreciation of the currency and the high inflationary pressure on the Turkish population were stagnant. (Figure: social media)

The devastating earthquake of 6 February 2023 interrupted Turkey’s economic recovery process. The direct economic losses in the affected areas of Turkey alone are estimated at $34.2 billion, and reconstruction needs may be several times higher than that figure, while Turkey’s GDP for the entire year of 2022 was only $905.5 million.

The high cost of living almost left Erdoğan unmanageable, and its main counterpart, Kolzida Olu, was to give an occupier in a video of the social media, warning voters that: “If everyone continues to hold office in Erdoğan, the throes of 30 Riera per kilogram will now rise to 100 Riera (approximately 35 yuan renminbi).

Relapse in earthquakes

History has always been astonishing, but there is no hope that this is something that is similar and that it is on its own.

Two or more earthquakes in Turkey in 1999 resulted in the death of more than 18,000 people, the collapse of 110,000 soybearing houses and the homelessness of nearly 3 million people.

In order to cope with this wound, Eldo has made a commitment to the modernization of infrastructure. After the economic reforms had been effective, Turkey had become a “built” in Europe, with the rehabilitation of airports, railways, canals and the construction of a large number of new homes. Turkey built more than 10 million homes in 20 years, more than half of the total new housing construction in all EU countries during the same period.

All seemingly moving in the good direction, with economic slowdown, high inflation and, at least, family resilience, this fragile balance was broken on 6 February this year.

The major earthquake led to the loss of nearly 50,000 people in southern Turkey and northern Syria, and to the displacement of more than 5.9 million people.
