But, before you get to that point, you’ll first need to secure the Omni app with either a Passcode or Face ID. Here is how it is done

1. Open Omni and tap Let’s go!

2. Either tap Use Face ID or Set up a Passcode to secure your wallet. Tap OK if you receive a prompt from your phone to allow Face ID. If you decide to use a Passcode, type in your new code and confirm.

Option 1: Setting up a brand new Omni wallet

1. Tap Create a new wallet.

2. To backup your wallet, check the circular button and tap Backup.

   1. Backing up your wallet’s Secret Phrase is crucial, as you will not be able to access your wallet without it. Remember, the most secure way to backup your Secret Phrase is by storing them completely offline. You can learn more about Secret Phrase management here.

3. Tap Next.

4. Select the listed words in the correct order of your Secret Phrase to verify them.

5. Tap Next.

6. Once the screen loads, tap Done.

7. When you enter your Home Screen, Omni will prompt you to activate push notifications so you’re notified of balance changes and successful transactions. To activate push notifications, tap Continue and then tap Allow.

Option 2: Importing another wallet (such as MetaMask) into Omni

1. Tap Import an existing wallet.

2. Tap MetaMask.

3. Type your MetaMask seed phrase. To find your seed phrase on MetaMask, you can do the following:

   1. On your MetaMask Home Screen, tap the Menu bar ☰ at the top left-hand corner.

   2. Tap Settings ⚙️.

   3. Tap Security & Privacy.

   4. Enter your MetaMask password to continue. Hold the blue button to reveal your Secret Phrase. Tap Copy to clipboard. Navigate back to the Omni app and paste the secret phrase.

4. Tap Next.

5. In the next screen, you have the option to import multiple MetaMask accounts into Omni. Select the accounts you want to import.

6. Tap Next.

7. After the screen completes loading, tap Done.

Option 3: Pair your Ledger device

On Omni, you can import your Bluetooth-enabled Ledger Nano X (and soon, the new Ledger Stax) for maximum security. If you are using an Android device, you can also connect with any other Ledger device via USB. To import your Ledger, do the following:

1. Tap Connect your Ledger (and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone).

2. Unlock your Ledger.

3. Click on the name of your Ledger device.

4. Select the app of the blockchain you want to connect to (in this case Ethereum). Please note that you can always add more blockchains (and Ledger accounts) later.

5. If this is your first time using this Ledger, you will have to enable the Bluetooth Pairing Request on your Ledger. Confirm pairing of the Ledger to your phone via your Ledger.

6. Open the Ethereum App on your Ledger.

7. Select which Ethereum account of your Ledger you want to sync to Omni.

   1. Please note: Omni currently only supports the first 5 accounts on your Ledger.

8. Done!

First, we’ll provide a step-by-step guide showing you how to enter the Staking Sweepstakes. If you don’t already have your Omni wallet set up, we recommend scrolling down to the “How to set up an Omni wallet” section and reading to learn how to set up a new wallet, import an existing wallet, and how to get funds into your wallet.

How to enter the Sweepstakes

Once you have your Omni wallet set up, complete with some MATIC on Ethereum, as well as ETH to cover gas fees, it is extremely simple to enter the Sweepstakes.

1. On your Home Screen, tap on STAKE TO WIN!

2. Tap Enter on the Sweepstakes page.

3. Scroll down until you see Stake MATIC – tap on that button.

4. Review the staking information that pops up and then tap Let’s go!

5. Select the amount you’d like to stake and tap Next (keep in mind, the more you stake, the more tickets you’ll receive, and more tickets you earn increases your chances of winning 🎟)

6. Review the transaction information and the gas fees; note: these can be customized. Once you make sure everything is correct, tap Confirm stake.

7. Done! Now, your Sweepstakes profile is activated! You can always navigate back to your Sweepstakes profile to check out how many tickets you’ve earned. How to set up a new wallet

When you first open up the Omni app, you will first secure your wallet with either a Passcode or via Face ID.

How to get funds into a new wallet

Currently, there is no option to buy MATIC on Ethereum with fiat directly within Omni – you can buy a few other assets such as ETH, MATIC (on Polygon), USDC, and multiple others and then swap them within Omni thanks to our bridges and swaps integration.

Otherwise, you can transfer MATIC into Omni via any exchange or an external wallet. To top up your MATIC balance:

1. On your Home Screen, tap the MATIC token (on Ethereum).

2. Tap the Down arrow ↓ button to reveal your Ethereum address.

3. Tap Copy address. You can now send MATIC to this address, and the balance will be available in your Omni app.

How to swap or bridge assets in Omni

If you don’t have MATIC tokens in your wallet or have them on a different network, you can easily swap or bridge them to Ethereum without leaving Omni. Due to our integration of aggregators such as Socket and Li.Fi, you don’t have to leave the wallet to make cross-chain swaps on any of the supported EVM-compatible networks.

Here’s how it’s done.

1. On your Home Screen, tap on the two arrows icon.

2. Select the token you want to bridge or swap, and the token you want to receive.

3. Choose the amount you want to transfer.

4. Select the optimal route.

5. Check the transaction information and tap Approve.

6. Done! In a few minutes, you should receive the desired tokens.

Congratulations, you are ready to use your new Omni wallet! Now, let's see how you can stake your BAKC. 

Follow these simple steps to activate your stake and start earning on your tokens:

1. On your Home Screen, Tap Earn.

2. Scroll down and tap Paired (BAKC).

3. Tap Stake APE.

Great! Now, you just just have to select the Mutant or Bored Ape and BAKC you want to stake to and choose the amount of ApeCoin. Confirm your stake by doing the following: 

1. Select the Mutant or Bored Ape and BAKC NFTs you want to stake to.

   • Note: You can still stake your MAYC or BAYC in their respective pools.

2. Input the amount of $APE you want to stake by sliding the bar or tapping on the number field. You can also choose to select the percentage of your $APE you want to stake by tapping the options: 25%, 50%, or Max. Tap Next.

   • Note, you can stake a maximum of 856 APE with your BAKC.

3. Review Network Fee and tap Confirm & stake.

4. Click Done and violá! Your BAKC and APE are now staked and earning rewards!

Option 2: Importing another wallet (such as MetaMask) into Omni to stake your MAYC NFT

1. Tap Import an existing wallet.

   1. On your MetaMask Home Screen, tap the Menu bar ☰ at the top left-hand corner.

   2. Tap Settings ⚙️.

   3. Tap Security & Privacy.

   4. Enter your MetaMask password to continue. Hold the blue button to reveal your Secret Phrase. Tap Copy to clipboard. Navigate back to the Omni app and paste the secret phrase.

4. Tap Next.

5. In the next screen, you have the option to import multiple MetaMask accounts into Omni. Select the accounts you want to import.

6. Tap Next.

7. After the screen completes loading, tap Done.

Well done, you have successfully imported your existing wallet onto Omni! You can scroll down to the BAKC staking portion of the article to continue. 

Note: If you do not see the APE token listed on the Home Screen, or if your APE balances are not contributed to your portfolio balance, you can make sure your APE is displayed in your portfolio by doing the following: 

1. On your Home Screen, tap Manage ⚙️.

2. Find the Search bar above the list of tokens and type “ApeCoin”. Toggle the switch to the right to activate the ApeCoin profile display on your Home Screen. 

3. Navigate back to your Home Screen by tapping the cross icon X at the top left corner. Violá! Your existing APE balance will now be displayed on your Home Screen, as well as be accounted for in your total portfolio balance.

Now, without further ado, let’s stake your BAKC NFT. 

Follow these simple steps to activate your stake and start earning on your tokens:

1. On your Home Screen, Tap Earn.

2. Scroll down and tap Paired (BAKC).

3. Tap Stake APE.

Great! Now, you just just have to select the Mutant or Bored Ape and BAKC you want to stake to and choose the amount of ApeCoin. Confirm your stake by doing the following: 

1. Select the Mutant or Bored Ape and BAKC NFTs you want to stake to.

   • Note: You can still stake your MAYC or BAYC in their respective pools.

7. Select which Ethereum account of your Ledger you want to sync to Omni. Please note: Omni currently only supports the first 5 accounts on your Ledger. If the APE, MAYC, or MAYC you want to stake is not on any of the first accounts, please move it to one of the first five accounts (by adding one of the first five Ledger accounts to Omni and clicking on the Receive (down arrow button) on your Home Screen, and then selecting Ethereum. From there, you can copy your Ethereum address and send the APE, BAYC, MAYC, and Ethereum (as well as any other assets you like). We are adding support for more Ledger accounts and will deploy a fix shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience!

8. Done! Now you can stake your APE, MAYC, BAYC, and BAKC (or add another account if you like).

Staking APE, MAYC, and BAYC from your Ledger

1. Unlock your Ledger.

2. On Omni, click on your APE balance on your Home Screen.

   1. If you don’t see APE on your Home Screen, please add it to your portfolio:

      1. On your Home Screen, tap Manage ⚙️.

      2. Find the Search bar above the list of tokens and type “ApeCoin”. Toggle the switch to the right to activate the ApeCoin profile display on your Home Screen. 

      3. Navigate back to your Home Screen by tapping the cross icon X at the top left corner. Violá! Your existing APE balance will now be displayed on your Home Screen, as well as be accounted for in your total portfolio balance.

   
   

3. Scroll down and tap Paired (BAKCC) and tap Stake APE + BAKC.

4. Tap the BAKC NFT you want to stake and tap Next!

5. Tap the BAYC or MAYC NFT you want to stake and tap Next!

Great! Now, you just just have to confirm your stake to complete the process. Confirm your stake by doing the following: 

1. Input the amount of $APE you want to stake by sliding the bar or tapping on the number field. You can also choose to select the percentage of your $APE you want to stake by tapping the options: 25%, 50%, or Max. Tap Next.

   • Note, you can stake a maximum of 856 APE with your BAKC.

2. Review Network Fee and tap Confirm & stake.

3. Open the Ethereum App on your Ledger.

4. Wait for the “Review Transaction” Screen on your Ledger.

5. Review the transaction on your Ledger by clicking right (you can also double-check the contract address and gas price). 

6. OPTIONAL: You may need to enable blind singing on your Ledger device, since Omni is interacting as your front end to the ApeCoin smart contract. To do so, please: 

   1. Open the Ethereum App in Ledger. 

   2. Click right and go to Settings. 

   3. In settings, you will see ‘Blind Signing - transaction blind signing disabled’. 

   4. Click both buttons to enable blind signing. Please see the visuals below for a step-by-step guide to enabling blind signing.

   
   

7. Confirm the stake transaction on your Ledger.

8. Done! You have now staked APE and your BAKC NFT directly from your Ledger.

Transfer APE and BAKC NFT to your Omni wallet

Currently, there is no option to buy APE directly within Omni. However, you can transfer APE into Omni via any exchange or an external wallet. You can take the same steps transfer your BAKC NFT: 

1. On your Home Screen, tap the ApeCoin profile.

2. Tap the Down arrow ↓ button to reveal your ApeCoin address.

3. Tap Copy address. You can now send APE and your BAKC NFT to this address, and the assets will be available in your Omni app.

View your MAYC NFT

1. Tap the image icon at the top-left corner of your screen.

2. Here, you will see your BAKC NFTs. If you NFTs from multiple collections in your wallet, you can simply type BAKC in the search bar to find your BAKC collection easily! Tap on any BAKC NFT to view more information.

Since the launch of staking by the Ape Foundation on December 5th, over $250M worth of tokens have been deposited into the staking contract (as of the date of this writing). The rewards accrual for the pool officially started on December 12.

Multiple staking pools have opened up for the BAYC community:

Getting Started: Setting up your Omni wallet

When you first open up the Omni app, you will first secure your wallet with either a Passcode or via Face ID.

1. Open Omni and tap Let’s go!

2. Either tap Use Face ID or Set up a Passcode to secure your wallet. Tap OK if you receive a prompt from your phone to allow Face ID. If you decide to use a Passcode, type in your new code and confirm.

Now you’re ready to set up your wallet itself. Configuring your Omni can be done in three ways:

2. Importing an existing wallet (such as MetaMask), or

3. Syncing your Ledger device.

Let’s walk through how to accomplish either of these three options.

Option 1: Setting up a brand new Omni wallet for MAYC NFT staking

1. Tap Create a new wallet.

2. To backup your wallet, check the circular button and tap Backup.

   1. Backing up your wallet’s Secret Phrase is crucial, as you will not be able to access your wallet without it. Remember, the most secure way to backup your Secret Phrase is by storing them completely offline. You can learn more about Secret Phrase management here.

3. Tap Next.

4. Select the listed words in the correct order of your Secret Phrase to verify them.

5. Tap Next.

6. Once the screen loads, tap Done.

7. When you enter your Home Screen, Omni will prompt you to activate push notifications so you’re notified of balance changes and successful transactions. To activate push notifications, tap Continue and then tap Allow.

Congratulations, you are ready to use your new Omni wallet! Now, let's see how you can stake your MAYC.

Follow these simple steps to activate your stake and start earning on your tokens:

1. On your Home Screen, Tap Earn.

2. Scroll down and tap Ape (MAYC).

3. Type your MetaMask seed phrase. To find your seed phrase on MetaMask, you can do the following:

   1. On your MetaMask Home Screen, tap the Menu bar ☰ at the top left-hand corner.

   2. Tap Settings ⚙️.

   3. Tap Security & Privacy.

   4. Enter your MetaMask password to continue. Hold the blue button to reveal your Secret Phrase. Tap Copy to clipboard. Navigate back to the Omni app and paste the secret phrase.

4. Tap Next.

5. In the next screen, you have the option to import multiple MetaMask accounts into Omni. Select the accounts you want to import.

6. Tap Next.

7. After the screen completes loading, tap Done.

Well done, you have successfully imported your existing wallet onto Omni! You can scroll down to the MAYC staking portion of the article to continue.

Note: If you do not see the APE token listed on the Home Screen, or if your APE balances are not contributed to your portfolio balance, you can make sure your APE is displayed in your portfolio by doing the following:

1. On your Home Screen, tap Manage ⚙️.

4. Wait for the “Review Transaction” Screen on your Ledger.

5. Review the transaction on your Ledger by clicking right (you can also double-check the contract address and gas price).

6. OPTIONAL: You may need to enable blind singing on your Ledger device, since Omni is interacting as your front end to the ApeCoin smart contract. To do so, please:

   1. Open the Ethereum App in Ledger.

   2. Click right and go to Settings.

   3. In settings, you will see ‘Blind Signing - transaction blind signing disabled’.

   4. Click both buttons to enable blind signing. Please see the visuals below for a step-by-step guide to enabling blind signing.

7. Confirm the stake transaction on your Ledger.

8. Done! You have now staked APE and your BAYC NFT directly from your Ledger.

Transfer APE and BAYC NFT to your Omni wallet

Currently, there is no option to buy APE directly within Omni. However, you can transfer APE into Omni via any exchange or an external wallet. You can take the same steps transfer your BAYC NFT:

1. On your Home Screen, tap the ApeCoin profile.

2. Tap the Down arrow ↓ button to reveal your ApeCoin address.

3. Tap Copy address. You can now send APE and your BAYC NFT to this address, and the assets will be available in your Omni app.

View your BAYC NFT

1. Tap the image icon at the top-left corner of your screen.

2. Here, you will see your BAYC NFTs. If you NFTs from multiple collections in your wallet, you can simply type BAYC in the search bar to find your BAYC collection easily! Tap on any BAYC NFT to view more information.

Since the launch of staking by the Ape Foundation on December 5th, over $250M worth of tokens have been deposited into the staking contract (as of the date of this writing). The rewards accrual for the pool officially started on December 12.

Multiple staking pools have opened up for the BAYC community:

1. APE pool

2. BAYC NFT pool

3. MAYC NFT pool

4. BAKC NFT combination pool (for those who own both a BAYC or MAYC NFT)

Getting Started: Setting up your Omni wallet

When you first open up the Omni app, you will first secure your wallet with either a Passcode or via Face ID. 

1. Open Omni and tap Let’s go!

2. Either tap Use Face ID or Set up a Passcode to secure your wallet. Tap OK if you receive a prompt from your phone to allow Face ID. If you decide to use a Passcode, type in your new code and confirm.

Now you’re ready to set up your wallet itself. Configuring your Omni can be done in three ways: 

1. Setting up a brand new Omni wallet,

2. Importing an existing wallet (such as MetaMask), or 

3. Syncing your Ledger device.

Let’s walk through how to accomplish either of these three options. 

Option 1: Setting up a brand new Omni wallet for APE staking

1. Tap Create a new wallet.

2. To backup your wallet, check the circular button and tap Backup. 

   1. Backing up your wallet’s Secret Phrase is crucial, as you will not be able to access your wallet without it. Remember, the most secure way to backup your Secret Phrase is by storing them completely offline. You can learn more about Secret Phrase management here.

   
   

3. Tap Next.

4. Select the listed words in the correct order of your Secret Phrase to verify them. 

5. Tap Next.

6. Once the screen loads, tap Done.

7. When you enter your Home Screen, Omni will prompt you to activate push notifications so you’re notified of balance changes and successful transactions. To activate push notifications, tap Continue and then tap Allow.

Congratulations, you are ready to use your new Omni wallet! Now, let's see how you can stake your APE. 

Follow these simple steps to activate your stake and start earning on your tokens:

1. On your Home Screen, Tap Earn.

2. Scroll down and tap ApeCoin.

3. Tap Stake APE!

Now, you just have to confirm your stake to complete the process. Confirm your stake by doing the following: 

1. Input the amount of APE you want to stake by sliding the bar or tapping on the number field. You can also choose to select the percentage of your APE you want to stake by tapping the options: 25%, 50%, or Max. Tap Next.

2. Review the Network Fee and tap Confirm & stake.

3. Click Done and violá! Your APE is now staked and earning rewards!

As the guide above shows, staking your APE on Omni is as easy as a few taps on mobile. Bonus? Users from anywhere can stake on Omni. The combination of maximum convenience and ultra-security can’t be missed. Stake APE on Omni now to start earning yield. 

Option 2: Importing another wallet (such as MetaMask) into Omni to stake APE

1. Tap Import an existing wallet.

2. Tap MetaMask.

3. Type your MetaMask seed phrase. To find your seed phrase on MetaMask, you can do the following: 

   1. On your MetaMask Home Screen, tap the Menu bar ☰ at the top left-hand corner.

   2. Tap Settings ⚙️.

   3. Tap Security & Privacy.

   4. Enter your MetaMask password to continue. Hold the blue button to reveal your Secret Phrase. Tap Copy to clipboard. Navigate back to the Omni app and paste the secret phrase.

4. Tap Next.

5. In the next screen, you have the option to import multiple MetaMask accounts into Omni. Select the accounts you want to import.

6. Tap Next.

7. After the screen completes loading, tap Done.

Well done, you have successfully imported your existing wallet onto Omni! You can scroll down to the APE staking portion of the article to continue. 

Note: If you do not see the APE token listed on the Home Screen, or if your APE balances are not contributed to your portfolio balance, you can make sure your APE is displayed in your portfolio by doing the following: 

1. On your Home Screen, tap Manage ⚙️.

2. Find the Search bar above the list of tokens and type “ApeCoin”. Toggle the switch to the right to activate the ApeCoin profile display on your Home Screen. 

3. Navigate back to your Home Screen by tapping the cross icon X at the top left corner. Violá! Your existing APE balance will now be displayed on your Home Screen, as well as be accounted for in your total portfolio balance.

Now, without further ado, let’s stake your APE. 

Follow these simple steps to activate your stake and start earning on your tokens:

1. On your Home Screen, Tap Earn.

2. Scroll down and tap ApeCoin.

3. Tap Stake APE!

Now, you just have to confirm your stake to complete the process. Confirm your stake by doing the following: 

1. Input the amount of APE you want to stake by sliding the bar or tapping on the number field. You can also choose to select the percentage of your APE you want to stake by tapping the options: 25%, 50%, or Max. Tap Next.

2. Review the Network Fee and tap Confirm & stake.

3. Click Done and violá! Your APE is now staked and earning rewards!

Option 3: Pair your Ledger device

On Omni, you can import your bluetooth-enabled Ledger Nano X (and soon, the new Ledger Stax) for maximum security. If you are using an Android device, you can also connect with any other Ledger device via USB. To import your Ledger, do the following:

1. Tap Connect your Ledger (and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone). 

2. Unlock your Ledger.

3. Click on the name of your Ledger device.

4. Select the app of the blockchain you want to connect to (in this case Ethereum). Please note that you can always add more blockchains (and Ledger accounts) later.

5. If this is your first time using this Ledger, you will have to enable the Bluetooth Pairing Request on your Ledger. Confirm pairing of the Ledger to your phone via your Ledger. 

6. Open the Ethereum App on your Ledger. 

7. Select which Ethereum account of your Ledger you want to sync to Omni. 

   1. Please note: Omni currently only supports the first 5 accounts on your Ledger. If the APE, MAYC, or BAYC you want to stake is not on any of the first accounts, please move it to one of the first five accounts (by adding one of the first five Ledger accounts to Omni and clicking on the Receive (down arrow button) on your Home Screen, and then selecting Ethereum. From there, you can copy your Ethereum address and send the APE, BAYC, MAYC, and Ethereum (as well as any other assets you like). We are adding support for more Ledger accounts and will deploy a fix shortly. We apologize for the inconvenience!

8. Done! Now you can stake your APE, MAYC, and BAYC (or add another account if you like).

Staking APE, MAYC, and BAYC from your Ledger

1. Unlock your Ledger.

2. In Omni, click on your APE balance on your Home Screen.

   1. If you don’t see APE on your Home Screen, please add it to your portfolio:

      1. On your Home Screen, tap Manage ⚙️.

      2. Find the Search bar above the list of tokens and type “ApeCoin”. Toggle the switch to the right to activate the ApeCoin profile display on your Home Screen. 

      3. Navigate back to your Home Screen by tapping the cross icon X at the top left corner. Violá! Your existing APE balance will now be displayed on your Home Screen, as well as be accounted for in your total portfolio balance.

• FTX attacker transferred some of the stolen funds to OKX after using ChipMixer. At least $4.1m (255 BTC) has been sent to OKX — since then, the account has been been frozen by OKX.

FTX drama

• As part of Binance’s exit from FTX equity last year, Binance received roughly $2.1 billion USD equivalent in cash (BUSD and FTT). Binance has now decided to liquidate any remaining FTT on their books.

• Binance signed a non-binding LOI, intending to fully acquire FTX and help cover the liquidity crunch. 

• In the hours before FTX secured rescue from Binance, it sought a bailout of more than $1 billion from Silicon Valley and Wall Street billionaires. By midday, the hole appeared far deeper – closer to $6 billion.

• Binance said it is walking away from its preliminary agreement to buy competitor FTX — supposedly, FTX is facing issues that are “beyond (Binance’s) control or ability to help.”.

• SBF told investors today that FTX has a shortfall of $8 billion, was seeking emergency liquidity, and that without more capital, bankruptcy is likely.

• Orthogonal Credit, a delegate firm that manages lending pools on Maple Finance, said that earlier this year, it made a decision to not lend to Alameda Research after spotting weaknesses in Alameda — ranging from its asset quality issues to corporate structure. 

• According to Axios, FTX has approached U.S.-based crypto exchange Kraken about a potential deal, and the details of the negotiations are unclear.

ERC-3525 proposed by Solv Protocol was approved. It is designed to represent semi-fungible assets, which are most suited for financial instruments, such as bonds, insurance policy, or vesting plans.
