Alongside the open edition, XCOPY also introduced 2 limited artworks Waster and Damager Luxe via ranked auctions, fetching bids above $79,999. The release also featured a unique burn mechanism, offering "Afterburn" NFT holders special upgrades and exclusive art draws. This drop showcased the many ways creators can distribute their art to their fans.

Checks VV

Jack Butcher’s Checks VV collection draws inspiration from the Twitter verification checkmark and features a grid of 80 checkmarks. Ingeniously priced at $8, reflecting Twitter's verification fee, the collection sold 16,027 editions within just one day bringing in $128,216. Building on this overwhelming success, Butcher introduced a second phase. This phase incorporated a burn dynamic, presenting holders with a unique and sometimes contrasting incentive that encouraged reflection on the purpose and value of their NFTs. Checks holders were given the choice to burn their NFTs and combine them: two 80-check pieces became a 40-check artwork, two 40s turned into a 20-check, and so on, until a single colored checkmark artwork was achieved.

Creature World's Crowd

A part of Danny Cole’s larger Creature World project, Crowd is a unique infinite-supply generative art collection. The generative script ensured that collector who minted one received a composition made with unique color combination to highlight the idea that despite our infinite color variations, we are all identical creatures. Selling over 38,045 copies on OpenSea in just 24 hours at a mint price of .29 this brought in a whopping 1,103 ETH, or about $1.7 million.

Step 1: Minting an ONFT on Omni X

To get started mint your first NFT on Omni X. This can be accomplished using various popular cryptocurrencies such as ETH, MATIC and USDC.

Thanks to the Omnichain nature of our launchpad, the minting process for most collections takes place across multiple chains. This grants you the flexibility to acquire NFTs on your preferred blockchain.

Upon each successful minting, you will be rewarded with a specific number of points, denominated as OMNI.

Please be aware that there could be delays in the accrual of points. In case of technical difficulties lasting longer than 24 hours, we kindly ask you to open a support ticket in the Omni X Discord server with a description of the issue you're experiencing.

Step 2: Bonus Multipliers

The primary way to multiply your OMNI points is to own our native ONFTs, Gregs and Omni Elements — when combined, these NFTs have the potential to generate up to 3x more points!

The OMNI multiplier formula is as follows:

Points Earned = Price × (1 + NFTs) × Multiplier

Where:

• Price is the cost to mint an NFT on Omni X.

• NFTs is the number of NFTs you're minting in one transaction.

• Multiplier is the extra multiplier applied to the transaction.

The Multiplier is a factor that increases the number of points you receive for a transaction. The base multiplier value = 1. However, it can be enhanced based on whether you hold Gregs, Omni Elements or both:

• x1.5: If you have Omni Elements NFTs in your wallet.

• x2: If you have Gregs NFTs in your wallet.

• x3: If you have both types of NFTs in your wallet.

This Multiplier schedule determines how much your points are boosted depending on the specific NFTs you hold in your wallet.

Step 3: Bridge Your ONFTs

Another new way to earn OMNI points is by bridging your ONFTs to any of the 13 EVM-compatible networks enabled by Omni X. To initiate this process, please visit your Profile. Once you’re there, hover your mouse cursor over the NFT preview, and a "Send" button will appear. Click on it. In the menu that pops up, choose the blockchain you wish to bridge to from the dropdown menu, and then click "Send" once more. Confirm the transaction in your wallet, and you're all set. Remember, every bridging transaction yields 1 OMNI point!

Bridging points will be enabled only for collections adhering to the AdvancedONFT721 token standard. This includes current collections like OA Adventures Part 2, Omni Ax Adventures, Omni Flowers, and Halfwish as well as all future ONFT collections launched on the Omni X Platform.

Step 4: Repeat

You can repeat the steps outlined above to significantly increase the total number of OMNI points you accumulate and eventually secure a high position on the leaderboard. Accumulated points and leaderboard position may be factors considered in any future special distribution events or promotions, should they occur.

AdvancedONFT721APro is a powerful new smart contract for minting NFTs. It combines the best aspects of ERC721A with omnichain capability and dynamic pricing, while also greatly improving gas savings.

One of the important innovations in this iteration of ONFTs is taking advantage of the gas savings introduced in ERC721A, while maintaining the ability to mint specific ranges of tokenIds on different chains (for example, 0-1000 on ETH, 1000-2000 on ARB, and so on). This, paired with the ability to seamlessly bridge across 19+ EVM chains, enables greater flexibility in creating and distributing your NFTs.

We’ve combined this with a unique, "dynamic pricing" mechanism. This helps to maintain a consistent rate of token creation throughout the minting period. However, Ids beyond this scope, minted on alternate chains, adopt the OZ ERC721 approach, linking each tokenId to a specific owner.

Observe the conditionals at lines 853 and 854. They restrict the internal function invocation solely to tokenIds beyond the chain's mint range. Furthermore, line 865 avoids embedding extra data into the ownership uint256, limiting it to the owner. This optimizes gas usage and omits the unnecessary 'next initialized' flag in this tokenId range.

In essence, the hybrid method utilizes ERC721A's batch minting efficiencies while preserving the capability to mint distinct tokenIds for the remainder. This necessitates managing a universal min-max range across all chains. TokenIds within this boundary can be allocated as deemed appropriate by the NFT creator across all supported chains.

Metaverse

Metaverse. We all heard this word thousands of times, it has popped up in virtually every single earnings call of all big tech companies and even with the governments betting big on it, the metaverse has sprawled far beyond the reach of crypto space. But what does it actually mean? We find Mathew Ball’s description to be the best at defining the metaverse: “a massively scaled and interoperable network of real-time rendered 3D virtual worlds which can be experienced synchronously and persistently by an effectively unlimited number of users with an individual sense of presence and with continuity of data, such as identity, history, entitlements, objects, communications, and payments.”

The key words here are “interoperable” and ”virtual worlds”. As of now any attempt at creating a metaverse exists in a vacuum of a single chain or a centralized infrastructure provider. Projects like Decentraland and Sandbox have brought community-owned mechanics to the table but they face the limitations of being deployed on a single network, namely the Ethereum mainnet. High barriers for entry, high demand for the blockspace and gas fees, lack of interoperability with other networks and worlds are just a few problems that stem out from being encapsulated on a single chain.

Omniverse

In order to overcome these challenges and bring the true vision of the metaverse to life we aim to build the Omniverse. Omniverse is an ecosystem of community-driven worlds and products, all connected together in an omnichain fashion thanks to the Layer Zero protocol. Games, NFT marketplaces, VR worlds, digital commodity and consensus markets, new multichain token standards and much more will all be products of the burgeoning Omniverse cosmos.

Imagine a world where trading and transferring data across blockchains can all be done within a single game/DEX/NFT marketplace UX without having to go to a third party bridge first. That’s what Layer Zero is bringing to the world. Layer Zero will initially be supporting such EVM-compatible networks as Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, Optimism and Binance Smart Chain.

Omni Wars

Omni Wars is a groundbreaking blockchain game and proof-of-concept for the future of interoperability built within the Omniverse. No longer are individual blockchains isolated in their interactions. Leveraging Layer Zero technology, Omni Wars facilitates the battling of various blockchain factions all in one game.

Omni Wars is a compete-2-earn (C2E) strategy game where each warring faction is a collection of players on various blockchains – Polygon, Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain and Avalanche. Players choose their faction for the game based on their preferred chain. Each faction will compete to win a grand prize pool each gaming season. While each faction will start off their own home-world, the best alliances will eventually dominate those planets and will get a chance to fight leaders of other factions on the main planet Etherea. More information regarding the gameplay will be provided in further blog posts and our documentation.

Omniverse DAO and Omni Labs

The Omniverse DAO is a community-run initiative to build out the Omniverse. This will include game art, gameplay mechanics, lore (fan fiction, comics, storylines), marketing, governance, dapp engineering, community building and more.

Omni Labs is the core team of members creating the game and other pieces of the omnichain application layer utilizing Layer Zero technology.

Roadmap

Our priority, first and foremost, is to create an engaging and competitive game. The game will have “seasons” of live competition. Each year, as the team grows and development continues, the game will have an increasing amount of complexity in gameplay, features, and art. With Layer Zero’s expansion, there will be new blockchains and factions folded in as well.

We are working on several projects that will enhance the Omniverse ecosystem and the revenue stream of the Omniverse DAO:

• Genesis Omniverse NFT Collection: In order to raise initial funds and excitement around the game, we will have a genesis NFT collection. These NFTs will have future utility in the Omni Wars game and they are also symbolic gestures of your allegiance to the preferred faction/blockchain.

• Omni Wars Lore: As hinted, we want this to be more than just a game. We want people to build on it any way they can imagine – fanfiction, art, comics, and more. The goal is to build out a whole world that ties all the blockchains together, both technically and metaphorically.

• Layer Zero x Omni Labs NFT marketplace: For the foreseeable future, platforms like OpenSea and LooksRare will dominate the generic NFT scene. However, we notice a rise in niche NFT marketplaces that better suit alternate mediums like music and gaming. In collaboration with the Layer Zero team, we are building a framework for spinning up niche omnichain NFT marketplaces. The Omniverse NFT marketplace will be a proof of concept for the framework as a whole. Any future game will be able to leverage our framework to easily build their own game specific marketplace that seamlessly works on any chain supported by Layer Zero. This means that no bridging using an external third-party protocol is required for cross-chain transfers and transactions.

When token?

Yes, there will be a token. In fact, there likely will be two! We are not ready to share details on the tokenomics, but it will have a ton of utility. Think in-game political decision making, cross-chain governance, marketplace currency, redistribution of revenue from licensing the marketplace framework to other projects and more. That’s all we will share for now.
