the usage of AI in SME can be very useful. with the use of AI it can help SME owner to enhance the efficiency of their business processes. the usage of AI in SME might vary, owner can use it to improve decision making and data analysis using the algorithm and the data of consumer behaviour to understand the market trends. the other function of AI is to help the owner to do product innovation and product development, with the help of AI SME owner can make a product based on the customer preferences and the market trends. AI can also help the owner on their production process such as supply chain management, inventory control to help the owner decide the right reorder point, and production scheduling that will further increase the production efficiency. however the implementation of AI technology/system in most of the SE Asia countries is still far from good, many aspects that can hinder this process such as lack of capable workforce that can handle AI in SME level business, the investment needed to build the AI ecosystem, the government rule about AI and SME, and many more problems that need to be solved before the SME in SE Asia can achieve the benefits of using AI in their business process.
