            <title><![CDATA[Bitlocker recovery error during start-up]]></title>

            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Issue solved: 2-6-2022</strong></p><p>After uninstalling Linux OS from ROG by deleting the partitions and the booting system through the diskpart command prompt, more of it is explained here <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc" class="dont-break-out" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znnqvlHyU2k">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znnqvlHyU2k</a>, this is not the real issue but the Bitlocker was. </p><p>I restarted the computer, the ROG Zephyrus laptop and it showed a blue screen with a box asking for a Bitlocker recovery key, I tried to move around to the UEFI but it didn’t work, so I went to Jordan&apos;s computer in the study room and logged into his computer and his Microsoft account and found the Zephyrus device and click on manage encryption and found the one with Bitlocker recovery key, I inserted the key into the box in the Zephyrus and it worked. </p><p>Issue solved!</p>]]></content:encoded>

            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong><em>Issue solved: 05/5/2022</em></strong></p><h3 id="h-description-of-the-issue" class="text-2xl font-header !mt-6 !mb-4 first:!mt-0 first:!mb-0">Description of the issue:</h3><p>When opening a program/app for the first through an icon on the taskbar, it refused to open, it showed a dialog box that read <em>“This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page.”</em> </p><figure float="none" data-type="figure" class="img-center" style="max-width: null;"><img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/dcb5289ef92c6ab3fe0cd0beb6d041c1c4ea60fb493d6f40d0c50a0f25dac416.png" alt="" blurdataurl="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAP///wAAACwAAAAAAQABAAACAkQBADs=" nextheight="600" nextwidth="800" class="image-node embed"><figcaption HTMLAttributes="[object Object]" class="hide-figcaption"></figcaption></figure><p>This is usually caused by a corrupted registry. The computer in this case used a modified Windows 10. There’s not much difference from a regular Windows 10 only some icons are made more like Macbook icons.</p><h3 id="h-how-it-was-solved" class="text-2xl font-header !mt-6 !mb-4 first:!mt-0 first:!mb-0">How it was solved:</h3><p>Open “Run” box and typed regedit, and in the Registry Editor go to “HKEY CLASS ROOT” which is the very top folder you will see on the Registry Editor, then open that folder and you will see a long list of subfolders, find “lnkfile”. The first letter is lowercase letter “L”. </p><figure float="none" data-type="figure" class="img-center" style="max-width: null;"><img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/papyrus_images/6b77caf81f430e319e120d21d6f860d735138719cf3e46f964b8987a7e8e1c49.png" alt="" blurdataurl="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAP///wAAACwAAAAAAQABAAACAkQBADs=" nextheight="600" nextwidth="800" class="image-node embed"><figcaption HTMLAttributes="[object Object]" class="hide-figcaption"></figcaption></figure><p>If you find your “IsShortcut” has an extra “s” that means that’s what the issue is, here I have removed the extra “s” so it does not have any problem. But that’s how you solve it. You have an extra “s” there, just rename it and you’re good to go and to see this works, you have to restart your computer after renaming it.</p>]]></content:encoded>
