More yield farming content means:

• Smarter Participants: People who learn yield farming develop skills that help them navigate crypto smarter and safer.

• Stronger Ecosystem: Sustainable farming means less reliance on short-term hype, leading to healthier projects with long-term growth.

• New Capital that will stay: Most people lose money on memecoins/trading, so they leave and never come back. Users onboarded with yieldfarming will be here to stay.

Bottom Line:

Today, my TL is a hub of insights on yield farming alpha strategies, AMM dynamics, airdrop alpha, tokenomics analytics, and educational content on zk. Here’s how I fixed my timeline.

The default broad CT experience is designed to waste your time. The algorithm in the “For You” tab pushes whatever gets the most engagement: drama, grifters, and clickbait. If you’re not careful, you’ll spend hours scrolling through posts that add zero value to your life.

This is because you let the algorithm control what you see instead of taking control. But you can curate your timeline to show only the content that matters to you.

Start by muting accounts on timeline that add no value to your feed. For me, this included:

• Grifters like ansem and accounts promoting memecoins with zero utility.

• Elon Musk and other non-crypto personalities that algorithm includes in anyone timelines.

• Reels and trash video accounts that derail your focus.

Remove anything that distracts you or frustrates you. If you see a post that makes you roll your eyes, click "not interested" and move on. Every time you clean up your feed, you’re making space for better content.

Look for accounts that align with your interests and provide real value. For me, this journey started when I asked

@3liXBT

for recommendations on who to follow. He gave me a list of accounts, and from their interactions, I found even more high-quality voices.

The the more I interacted with those accounts, the more my timeline went from 1000x memecoin and Kaleo style stupid airdrop guides with zero insights to actual alpha on airdrops, yield farming, AMM strategies, decent views on crypto, and educational content.

If you’re unsure where to start, just ask someone you respect in the comments, “Who else should I follow from our niche/protocol community?” Over time, you’ll build a network of like-minded people who make CT worth your time. He who seeks finds.

The “Following” tab is your curated safe space. It’s where you go for high-signal content that aligns with your interests. The “For You” tab, on the other hand, is like a newsstand: use it to stay up-to-date, but don’t let it dominate your experience. The algorithm will work in your favor only if you’ve done enough work to prune your feed.

Curation isn’t a one-and-done process. It’s an ongoing effort to keep your timeline clean and focused. Here are a few practical tips to stay disciplined:

1. Mute aggressively. The moment you see something irrelevant or distracting, mute it. Don’t hesitate.

2. Click "not interested." This trains the algorithm to show you more of what you want and less of what you don’t.

3. Engage with valuable content. Like, comment, and share posts from accounts you respect. This signals to the algorithm what you care about.

4. Again, ask for recommendations. Whether in the comments of a tweet or in DMs, don’t be afraid to ask, “Who else should I follow from x niche?”

CT can be a time suck or a goldmine—it’s all about how you use it. If you let the algorithm run the show, you’ll end up hating the space and wasting your time on noise. But if you take control, you’ll find that CT can be a place where you connect with brilliant minds, stay informed, and grow your knowledge.

So start pruning, start curating, and build a timeline that works for you. You control your feed, not the other way around!

So, naturally, there have been attempts to create alternatives—social media platforms that embody true cryptopunk values, decentralized, censorship-resistant, and built for us by us. One of these attempts is Farcaster. Its main pitch is simple: no single entity owns your data, your identity, or your interactions. You’re free to post, build, and even create your own clients to interact with the network. That sounds dope, right? Well, hold on, because their main client, Warpcast, kinda ruins the vibe. But before we get into the hatefest, let’s dig into what Farcaster is all about.

Farcaster is built on the idea of decentralized servers. Instead of one big daddy server calling the shots, there’s a network of hubs that store user data and interact with each other to keep everything in sync. This setup reduces the risk of data breaches and censorship—nobody can just shut down the whole network or ban you on a whim.

Another big flex? Users retain full ownership of their data and identities. You’re not signing your soul away to Elon, Zuck, or some other corporate overlord. You can manage your content and connections, switch clients whenever you want, and take your followers with you. It’s like having a passport that works across all Farcaster-compatible apps.

Oh, and here’s the kicker: since Farcaster is decentralized, you’re free to use different clients. You’re not stuck with just one interface or one way of doing things. Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room—Warpcast.

Warpcast is the "official" or main client for Farcaster, and it’s where most crypto degens hang out. A lot of CT’s familiar faces have accounts there. Even Vitalik Buterin posts there sometimes. Plus, there have been some pretty juicy incentives for users, like the $DEGEN

airdrop and other rumors of rewards for participation. Naturally, this brought in a swarm of crypto folks trying to secure their bags.

Sounds like it’s popping off, right? Wrong. Here’s why I absolutely hate Warpcast:

1. No Crypto Payments: For a platform that claims to be Web3, the fact that you can’t pay for the subscription or registration with crypto is laughable. What’s the point of being decentralized if you’re still stuck using credit cards?

2. Tied to Web2 Accounts: You need a Google Play or App Store account to download the app. Let that sink in. A "sufficiently decentralized social network" tied to the two most centralized platforms in tech? Make it make sense.

3. Credit Card Requirement: Want to register? Cool. Just hand over your credit card info first and connect it to your wallet and degen identity. I mean, come on, Twitter is literally more decentralized and anonymous than this. What are we doing here?

Warpcast is supposed to be the main client for an alternative crypto social media, yet it’s clinging to Web2 systems harder than a boomer holding onto their Facebook account. It’s disappointing, but here’s the thing: it’s okay that Warpcast sucks.

Here’s the beauty of Farcaster: it’s decentralized. Warpcast might be the main client right now, but it’s not the only one. The protocol’s design lets anyone create their own client—which is exactly what’s happening.

For example, I’ve been using Supercast, a Farcaster client that aligns way better with actual Web3 values. Unlike Warpcast, Supercast lets you pay for everything with crypto. No credit card, no Google account, none of that Web2 nonsense. It’s the same network, the same people, and the same posts—just without all the centralized baggage.

Some options include clients built for developers, ones with customizable UI, and ones tailored for power users. The flexibility is there; you just need to find what works for you.

Farcaster has a lot going for it, but it’s not perfect. Here’s the breakdown:

Pros:

• Decentralized and censorship-resistant.

• Users own their data and identities.

• Multiple client options, including crypto-native ones like Supercast.

• An alternative to Twitter for crypto people looking to escape Web2 nonsense.

Cons:

• Warpcast, the main client, doesn’t align with Web3 values (no crypto payments, credit card required).

• The platform feels a bit empty and botted compared to CT.

At the end of the day, Farcaster is a solid step toward a decentralized social future. Warpcast might not be the best, but that’s okay because the protocol’s openness gives you the freedom to choose better options. Just don’t expect it to replace CT entirely—yet.
