While others built careers in bustling cities, Prabhat returned home, compelled by a simple but powerful question: “Why do farmers, who feed the nation, struggle the most to feed their own families?”

In his district, farmers earned barely ₹10,000 per acre per year. Locked into cycles of dependence on input dealers and middlemen, their lives revolved around one uncertain harvest and mounting fertiliser costs.

This harsh reality became the soil in which SumArth, Prabhat’s non-profit, first took root.

🚜 The Trip That Changed Everything

Prabhat knew inspiration was stronger than lectures. So, in the same year, he took 10 farmers from Gaya to Maharashtra.

There, they witnessed vineyards heavy with grapes, pomegranate orchards, and fields of onions that earned farmers up to ₹15 lakh per acre.

“It was like seeing another world,” recalls Sunil Yadav, one of the farmers on that trip. “We never imagined farming could mean prosperity.”

That eye-opening journey planted the first seeds of change back home.

🧅 The Onion Experiment

Back in Bihar, SumArth proposed a cautious beginning: dedicate just 10% of farmland to onions.

With a small investment of ₹4 per kg and ventilated low-cost storage, farmers could hold onions for the right season. Selling later at ₹10 per kg, they earned nearly ₹1 lakh per acre in just five months.

This wasn’t just income. It was confidence.

“Earlier, our harvest meant a single payday in the year,” says Rekha Devi, a farmer from Jehanabad. “With onions, we saw what was possible if we worked differently.”

🍄 Filling the Empty Months

But Prabhat wasn’t done. For half the year, those onion storage stood empty. What if they could host another crop?

Enter mushrooms—low-cost, low-space, and in high demand. Unlike seasonal onions, mushrooms offered a daily recurring income.

Within months, small sheds turned into thriving mini-enterprises. Women led the way—today, 75% of SumArth’s farmer network is female.

“Mushrooms gave me my own earnings, not just my husband’s,” shares Shanti Kumari from Aurangabad. “Now, my children’s school fees come from my work.”

🌽 Diversifying the Basket

From onions and mushrooms, the model spread into seed corn, baby corn, and strawberries. Each crop meant quicker cycles, stronger returns, and less risk tied to weather.

In 2023, SumArth launched a game-changer: Gaya’s largest processing unit, with capacity for 10,000 kg per day. Suddenly, fresh produce that spoiled in 24 hours could last up to 24 months.

Pickles, powders, jams, and packaged goods became new income streams. The farmer’s role expanded from grower to entrepreneur.

📊 The Numbers That Speak

Reach: 25,000 farmers across 500 villages in six districts of Bihar.

Collective Income: Over ₹100 crore in 10 years.

Latest Financial Year: ₹23 crore generated.

Vision: Multiply incomes fivefold through value-added products.

But the numbers tell only half the story. The bigger shift was psychological—farmers no longer saw themselves as victims of weather and market, but as producers with power.

🌍 Bihar’s Mushroom Revolution

SumArth’s model resonated with a broader wave. Bihar’s mushroom production rose from 28,000 tonnes in 2021–22 to 41,310 tonnes in 2023–24, growing at a 21.5% CAGR.

Behind the statistics lies a quiet revolution: low-cost storage, value-add processing, and local engagement. Farmers weren’t just selling produce—they were building businesses.

💡 Before & After: A Farmer’s Journey

Before:

One-time harvest income.

Dependence on fertilisers and middlemen.

Barely ₹10,000 per acre per year.

After SumArth:

Onions → up to ₹1 lakh per acre.

Mushrooms → steady daily income.

Storage + processing → products lasting up to 24 months.

Women-led farmer enterprises.

✨ The Road Ahead

Today, SumArth’s vision is bold: replicate Maharashtra’s success and push Bihar’s farmers toward a fivefold increase in income.

For Prabhat, it is not just economics—it is dignity. “A farmer’s work should mean respect and prosperity,” he says. “We’re proving it’s possible—one onion, one mushroom, one field at a time.”

🌅 A New Dawn in Bihar’s Fields

As the sun sets over Gaya, fields that once whispered stories of survival now echo with ambition.

Our lives are shaped not only by what we do during the day, but also by how we end our nights. The evening is a time of reflection, winding down, and preparing for the next day. Modern psychology emphasises that harmful nighttime habits can quietly sabotage productivity, wealth, and long-term success. Islam, however, has long highlighted the spiritual and practical importance of how we close our day.

The Prophet ﷺ taught that evenings are not for heedlessness but for remembrance, gratitude, and intentional living. Below are eight evening habits that prevent both worldly success and spiritual growth, along with Islamic wisdom to replace them with habits that bring barakah (blessing).

1. Wasting Evenings on Mindless Distractions

Scrolling endlessly, binge-watching, or drowning in idle chatter may feel relaxing, but they consume valuable time. The Qur’an reminds us:

“By Time, indeed mankind is in loss—except those who believe, do righteous deeds, and encourage truth and patience.” (Surah Al-‘Asr 103:1-3)

Evenings wasted on distractions are hours lost from ‘ibadah (worship), learning, or bonding with family.

Islamic Alternative:

The Prophet ﷺ disliked unnecessary late-night talk, except in useful matters like knowledge or family.

Replace screen time with recitation of Qur’an, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), or a short family reflection. Even 10–15 minutes can nourish the soul more than hours of entertainment.

2. Ending the Day Without a Plan

Many drift into sleep without clarity on tomorrow, waking reactive and rushed. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Take advantage of five before five: your youth before old age, your health before illness, your wealth before poverty, your free time before you become busy, and your life before death.” (Hadith – Ibn Abbas, Al-Hakim)

Planning is part of taking advantage of free time. Islam emphasises niyyah (intention). Making clear intentions at night for the next day aligns our time with purpose.

Islamic Alternative:

Before bed, write 2–3 intentions: an act of worship, a family duty, and a work/study task.

Make duʿā for barakah in your time. The Prophet ﷺ said: “O Allah, bless my Ummah in its early hours.” (Tirmidhi). Planning at night allows you to seize the morning.

3. Neglecting Reflection and Self-Accountability

The great scholar Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) said:

“Take account of yourselves before you are taken to account.”

Skipping reflection means mistakes repeat unchecked. Successful Muslims end their day with muhāsabah (self-accountability): What did I do for Allah today? Where did I fall short?

Islamic Alternative:

Before sleeping, say the duʿā for forgiveness: “Allahumma inni aslamtu nafsi ilayka…” (Bukhari & Muslim).

Reflect: Did I pray on time? Did I do wrong to anyone? Did I earn or spend halal?
This practice polishes the heart and ensures constant growth.

4. Sacrificing Sleep for Entertainment or Procrastination

In the pursuit of wealth, many sacrifice sleep—yet Islam views sleep as a trust (amānah). Allah says:

“And We made your sleep [a means for] rest. And We made the night as a covering.” (Surah An-Naba 78:9-10)

The Prophet ﷺ valued rest and disliked wasting the night in idle pursuits. Poor sleep leads to laziness in Fajr, missed Qur’an recitation, and a weakened body.

Islamic Alternative:

Sleep early and wake early. The Prophet ﷺ often disliked sleeping before ‘Ishā and excessive talk after it.

Aim for balanced sleep (6–8 hours). Remember that worship, work, and even health are tied to how well you sleep.

5. Carrying Stress and Worries Into the Night

Psychology says stress ruins sleep. Islam teaches us to hand over our worries to Allah at night. The Prophet ﷺ advised reciting Ayat al-Kursi before bed for protection (Bukhari) and making duʿā for peace.

Islamic Alternative:

Recite Surah Al-Mulk and Surah Al-Sajdah before sleeping (Hadith, Tirmidhi).

Say: “Hasbiyallāhu lā ilāha illā Huwa, ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul-‘arshil-‘Azīm” (Qur’an 9:129).
This transforms stress into tawakkul (trust in Allah). Sleep becomes an act of surrender, not restlessness.

6. Using Numbing Instead of True Recharging

Some numb stress with junk food, music, or endless scrolling. But the Prophet ﷺ reminded us that hearts find true rest only in Allah’s remembrance:

“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28)

True recharging is spiritual and holistic—worship, dua, meaningful conversation, exercise, and rest.

Islamic Alternative:

After ‘Ishā, spend time with family in kindness, or read beneficial knowledge.

Make a habit of two rakʿahs of night prayer (Qiyām al-Layl), even if short. That spiritual recharging is more powerful than hours of mindless numbing.

7. Surrounding Yourself With Negativity

Many end the day with gossip, arguments, or negative media. Islam warns against such speech:

“Do not let your tongues indulge in gossip…” (Qur’an 24:15).

Words shape hearts. Ending the night in negativity imprints heaviness on the soul.

Islamic Alternative:

Choose uplifting company or uplifting books.

End with positive dhikr: Subhān Allāh (33 times), Alhamdulillāh (33 times), Allahu Akbar (34 times) before bed (Hadith – Bukhari). This fills the heart with positivity, not negativity.

8. Neglecting Personal Growth and Knowledge

Evenings wasted without learning are opportunities lost. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim)

Beneficial knowledge is a legacy. Successful people invest evenings in Qur’an, Hadith, or useful worldly knowledge that benefits their deen and dunya.

Islamic Alternative:

Dedicate 30 minutes to Qur’an recitation with tafsīr.

Read biographies of the Sahabah or Islamic scholars.

Study skills or a profession to serve the ummah. This transforms learning into ibādah.

Additional Islamic Insights: Why Evenings Matter

The Night as a Time of Barakah – Allah swears by the night in the Qur’an (Surah Al-Lail). It is a time of closeness to Him.

Decision Fatigue vs. Dhikr – Where psychology warns of poor evening decisions, Islam directs us to dhikr that strengthens clarity.

Identity Shaping – Every evening, we choose: end the day heedless, or end it mindful of Allah. That choice shapes our spiritual identity.

A Sunnah-Inspired Evening Routine

After Maghrib – Family time, Qur’an recitation, gratitude journaling.

After Dinner – Light walk, dhikr, avoid idle talk.

After ‘Ishā – Prayer, reflection, plan tomorrow’s intentions.

Before Bed – Recite Surah Al-Mulk, Ayat al-Kursi, last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, dhikr (33–33–34).

Sleep Early – With wudhu, facing Qiblah, in peace of tawakkul.

This is not just psychology—it is the Sunnah.

Final Reflection

Wealth and success are not measured only by money, but by barakah, inner peace, and purpose. Islam teaches us that every evening is a chance to reset, reflect, and prepare for tomorrow with intention.

If you want both dunya and akhirah success, protect your nights from these eight destructive habits. Instead, end each evening with remembrance, gratitude, planning, and growth. As the Prophet ﷺ said:

“The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are small.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

Success is built in the quiet hours of the night. Use them well, and both your dunya (worldly life) and akhirah (eternal life) will shine with barakah.

“🌙 Every evening is a chance for renewal—of faith, focus, and barakah. Align your nights with Sunnah and watch your days overflow with success. Share this guide to spread beneficial knowledge.”

Foreword

Words are not just sounds we release into the air. They are vessels that carry thought, emotion, and intention. They build bridges or burn them. They heal or they wound. A single conversation has the power to shape a mind, soften a heart, or alter the course of a relationship.

I learned this truth not in a lecture hall or from a book, but in the quiet ache that follows a selfish dialogue. I recall moments where I shared something vulnerable, only to watch the other person quickly pivot back to themselves. I left feeling unseen, as if my words dissolved into silence. Psychology explains this as a failure of empathy—a lack of genuine presence in communication. Islam frames it as a lapse in adab (etiquette) and humility, for to ignore another’s voice is to overlook their dignity.

In today’s fast-moving world, conversations have become increasingly shallow, transactional, and self-centred. Social media rewards quick sound bites; workplaces often prize efficiency over empathy; and in our homes, the art of listening sometimes competes with the constant pull of screens. Yet human beings are wired for connection. Neuroscience tells us that meaningful dialogue activates parts of the brain associated with trust and belonging. The Qur’an tells us that “A good word is like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches reach to the sky” (14:24). Both perspectives agree: words nourish, and without them, relationships wither.

This book was born out of the need for a bridge. On one side lies modern psychology, which dissects why conversations succeed or fail, and how empathy or narcissism shape communication. On the other side lies the timeless wisdom of Islam, where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ embodied the art of sacred speech—listening with full presence, validating emotions with compassion, and speaking only words that uplifted hearts.

By bringing these two worlds together, I hope to offer more than theory. I hope to offer healing. Healing for the parent who feels unheard by a child, the spouse who feels unseen in daily talk, the friend who feels drained after every exchange, and even for ourselves when we recognise selfishness creeping into our speech.

The pages ahead are not a lecture but an invitation—to reclaim the beauty of conversation, to purify the tongue, and to transform ordinary dialogue into an act of worship and connection. May every word we choose become a seed of goodness, planted in the soil of another heart, bearing fruit long after the sound has faded.

“رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي، وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي، يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي”
“My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease my task for me, and untie the knot from my tongue, that they may understand my speech.” (Qur’an 20:25–28)

📢 CTA (Call-to-Action)

💡 “Begin your journey to transform every conversation into an act of healing and worship. Token prices shift by the minute. Governance votes can appear and close in hours. DAOs can ship an MVP in a weekend.

In this 24/7 decentralised economy, no central boss is telling you what to focus on. You’re responsible for steering your ship. Without a clear daily plan, you risk spending your energy reacting to the chaos rather than building toward your long-term goals.

A plan is your anchor. It ensures that you start the day knowing:

What matters most.

What must get done no matter what.

How your actions fit into your larger Web3 objectives.

The Web3 Productivity Problem

Many Web3 professionals fall into a common trap:

Wake up.

Check Discord/Twitter.

See an avalanche of news, token alerts, and pings.

Spend the day putting out fires and chasing FOMO.

Realise at night that nothing truly important got done.

This reactionary mode is dangerous. It creates the illusion of being busy while your most impactful work—whether that’s deploying code, closing a deal, or creating NFT art—gets pushed aside.

A clear plan breaks this cycle.

Step 1: Define Your Top 3 Priorities

Every morning, spend 5–10 minutes identifying your Top 3 tasks for the day.

These are not just any tasks—they’re the needle-movers that have the highest leverage for your goals.

If you’re a developer: Shipping a smart contract feature, fixing a critical bug, preparing a GitHub release.

If you’re a trader: Executing a planned trade setup, reviewing your portfolio strategy, and setting stop-losses.

If you’re in a DAO: Writing a governance proposal, organising a community vote, or onboarding a new contributor.

If you’re an NFT creator: Finalising artwork, minting, and promoting on a pre-scheduled campaign.

💡 Tip: The top 3 should fit into the “80/20 rule”—20% of tasks that produce 80% of results.

Step 2: Plan the Night Before

Mornings are powerful for action, but they’re terrible for decision-making if you start from zero.

Instead:

Before logging off each night, review your current progress.

Write down your Top 3 priorities for tomorrow.

This way, you wake up already knowing where to focus—no mental fog, no distractions.

Example for a DeFi Developer:
Tonight’s planning might look like:

Deploy v2 of the smart contract to the testnet.

Review 3 pull requests.

Prepare GitHub documentation for the new feature.

When you wake up, they are ready to attack.

Step 3: Separate On-Chain and Off-Chain Tasks

In Web3, your day includes both:

On-chain tasks: Smart contract interactions, governance voting, liquidity provision, and minting.

Off-chain tasks: Calls, content creation, marketing, and community management.

💡 Create two short lists and balance them. From the moment a baby is born, their tiny fingers wrapped around yours, you begin wondering about their future:
Will they excel in school? Will they make wise decisions? Will they grow into a confident, kind, and resilient adult?

These questions are not just about academic success — they’re about nurturing a child’s intelligence in its truest sense. But here’s the thing: intelligence is not simply about having a high IQ or scoring well on a test. It is far richer, deeper, and more multi‑dimensional.

In the past few decades, science has revealed a fascinating truth: while genetic inheritance (nature) plays a role in a child’s potential, the way a child is nurtured (nurture) can significantly shape how that potential unfolds. Parenting is not just about feeding and caring for a child — it’s about creating the conditions for their mind, emotions, and character to flourish.

This book is about those conditions — the habits and approaches that parents consistently use to raise intelligent kids.

What “Intelligence” Really Means

For generations, “intelligence” was mostly linked to IQ — a measure of how well someone processes information, solves problems, and remembers facts. But modern psychology and neuroscience tell us IQ is only one part of the puzzle.

A truly intelligent child thrives not only because they can memorise multiplication tables or read three grades above their level, but because they possess:

Cognitive Intelligence (IQ) – the ability to think critically, solve problems, understand abstract ideas, and learn quickly.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) – the ability to recognise, understand, and manage emotions — both their own and those of others. EQ influences empathy, resilience, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships.

Adaptability – the ability to adjust to new situations, learn from mistakes, and keep going despite setbacks.

If IQ is the engine of intelligence, EQ is the steering wheel, and adaptability is the suspension system that keeps the journey smooth even on bumpy roads.

The Role of Both Nature and Nurture

Some children seem to be “born smart.” They pick up language early, show curiosity about everything, and quickly grasp new concepts. Genetics plays a role here — children inherit certain tendencies in attention span, memory, and processing speed from their parents.

But scientists are clear: nature loads the gun, nurture pulls the trigger. In other words, genes may provide the blueprint, but environment and parenting determine how those abilities develop.

A child born with exceptional potential can lose their spark in an uninspiring or stressful environment. Conversely, a child with average genetic predisposition can thrive when raised in a stimulating, supportive, and loving home.

Think of it like gardening:

Nature provides the seed — the genetic potential.

Nurture is the soil, water, sunlight, and care that allow the seed to grow.

The most beautiful gardens are not just the result of good seeds — they are the result of consistent tending.

Why Parenting Habits Matter More Than You Think

Some parents believe intelligence is something that just “happens” if a child is naturally gifted. But research paints a different picture:
Children’s minds are incredibly malleable in their formative years. Neural pathways are still forming, and experiences in early childhood have a profound impact on brain architecture.

Here’s why parenting habits are critical:

Children learn by imitation. If they see you reading, problem‑solving, asking questions, and showing curiosity, they will model the same behaviours.

Daily routines shape brain wiring. Bedtime habits, playtime, reading, and conversations all leave lasting marks on how a child processes and retains information.

Parental responses shape mindset. If you praise only grades and talent, children may fear failure. If you praise effort and persistence, children are more willing to take on challenges.

Emotional safety promotes learning. A secure, supportive home environment frees mental energy for exploration and growth.

It’s not about doing more for your child — it’s about doing the right things consistently.

Common Myths About Raising Smart Kids

Many parents unintentionally hold beliefs that can hinder a child’s intellectual and emotional growth. Let’s debunk some of the most common myths:

Myth 1: Intelligence is fixed at birth.

Truth: While genetic potential is real, it’s only the starting point. Experiences, environment, and learning opportunities profoundly shape intelligence. The brain remains adaptable (neuroplastic) well into adulthood, especially during childhood.

Myth 2: More academic work means smarter kids.

Truth: Overloading children with worksheets and extra classes can backfire, leading to burnout and reduced curiosity. Intelligence grows best in a balanced environment that mixes learning, play, creativity, and rest.

Myth 3: Early reading means higher intelligence.

Truth: While early literacy is a great advantage, it’s not the sole predictor of future intelligence.
