This article can help you become aware of the root problem and how to go about solving it.

Capitalism is literally based on keeping you addicted. Here's how I figured this out - and broke free.

Addiction is the silent epidemic behind every crisis we face today. Environmental destruction, political corruption, poverty, economic collapse and even to war.

All of it. All of it comes back to this one thing society is not talking about much, thus not solving it.

But here's what shattered my reality: the system doesn't just allow addiction - it feeds on it. Our pain is their profit. Our emptiness is their endless market. The more we consume, the more "they" grow. Big private companies, big pharma, big tech and governments. Most of them are together on this, addicted to money and mainly power.

I know this because I was completely enslaved. Not just by the obvious stuff, but by dozens of addictions I didn't even realize I had. Breaking free didn't just change my life - it revealed how the whole game works.

This is my story of going from the depths of hell to creating regenerative communities around the world. Of discovering that personal healing and planetary healing are the same sacred work.

A reflection of a lifestyle that is driven by addictions, without any awareness about the existence. Looking at thy-self from a dimension of greatness and empowerment. The future self.

The Day I Saw My True Self

At 25, I stood before my bedroom mirror. Not looking, but really observing myself eye to eye for the first time in years. Right to my soul.

The man staring back at me was hollow. Empty. A ghost pretending to be alive.

My room told the story my mind couldn't face - mattress on the floor like I was camping in my own life. Piles of clothes smelling like shame and lost nights. Empty bottles of beer all around. And a PlayStation surrounded by the debris of dreams I'd given up on.

I had no money. No direction. No future I could imagine. All my friends were buying houses, getting married, building something. Me? I was disappearing into the nothingness.

"How the hell did I get here?" I express with fury to my reflection.

The mirror didn't answer. But that question... that question started an earthquake inside me. Cracking everything open. One that lead me to understand the dark reality that turns humans into consumers, where I knew the world needs change, I need change. At that moment, I took a deep breath and wave of consciousness went through me in a heavy profound blink of an eye, where a seed was planted, an awareness that something greater than me is possible, where I can have a purpose.

But first, I had to do the work. Travel back to the essence of where it all began.

Growing Up Addicted

All this was happening while growing up in a small town in Ecuador called Pedro Vicente Maldonado, where alcohol and fights were normal. The lifestyle there surrounds working on the farmland during the day and start drinking at night, leading into terrible fistfights between people for no smart reason. In the subconscious mind, the culture is that, the more you drink and the good fighter you are, the more respected you are . My uncle was well known and very well respected. At some point I was proud of that and found myself walking the streets with “great confidence” at the age of 12 and 13. Thinking I am also respected, I was tested by many. So basically, over the years I trained myself to become a heavy drinker and street fighter.

This behavior, this person that I have become, was increasing its power. I have many stories to tell about the character I formed, especially being in a family lineage of military leaders, owning slaves and experiencing extreme lifestyle. I lived around that, which in summary, I became a fearless, careless, non-empathic, narcissist, power lover, manipulating being. In a way, I did learn to be brave and stand up for myself, but the way I did it was not the best and most conscious way. It was destructive, inwards and out.

However, behind the scenes I was truly learning something else with out realizing - how to be an addicted consumer. How to need things outside myself to feel okay, when I don’t really need any of that.

Addictions I Didn't See

When I finally got honest about my life, I discovered something shocking. I wasn't just addicted to the obvious stuff. I was trapped by dozens of hidden addictions that controlled every aspect of my existence.

Here's the list of the most dominant addictions I had, which after I look at it. It blew my mind:

Substances:

Alcohol (the foundation of everything else)

Cocaine and MDMA, being in party mode all the time, distracted from myself

Cannabis keeping me in the same cycles of distraction and procrastination

Junk food that kept my body inflamed and sick

Eating animals, keeping me in a heavy, slow, mind-foggy state of being, disconnected to life itself.

Behaviors:

Pornography that messed up my relationship to women and the sacredness of sexual expression.

Video games that let me escape reality for hours, keeping me in a never ending loop of anxiety

Social media and the need for validation, keeping me depressed by comparing myself, and non-stop scrolling viewing ridiculous content.

Movies and series taking me from sleeping day and night, hooked to the couch.

Sleeping excessively and/or not sleeping at all. No sleep structure, no health.

The extreme laziness would take over. I knew I was lazy, and will continue to do nothing.

Parties and meaningless social gatherings, getting distracted with "friends".

Always finding ways to make money. The more money I had, the more power, thus the more addicted I was becoming.

I was consuming stuff, left and right. A complete shopaholic. I would spend it all at once, things I didn't need at all. Going to the mall & Amazon shopping.

Staring at myself in the mirror for hours. Vanity to its purest. Even with my bald head.

Cheating on my girlfriend, and not respecting women. Lying in all forms. A perfect actor.

Emotional Addictions:

Depression - I loved being sad, listening to romantic sad music while drinking hard liquor alone in my room, pretending I had heartbreak even when I didn't have a girlfriend. While truly feeling I alone and useless.

Anger - I loved having my perpetual mad face because it made people respect me and fear me

Adrenaline - stealing, fighting, dangerous stunts that made me feel alive

Psychological Patterns:

Lying about everything - lying to people, lying to my family, lying to myself about who I was, what I did, where I was going. Big lies, small lies, dangerous lies, innocent lies. I was completely addicted to dishonesty.

Stealing - it started with stealing liquor from my house, then money, then my family's car, then shoplifting from stores. I became good at it, but it wasn't about the money - it was about the adrenaline rush.

Love addiction - overwhelming people with obsessive care because I felt so empty inside, giving everything to girlfriends and friends in a way that was overwhelming to them.

Fighting people and confronting fear everywhere I went.

Hanging out with people in the streets, doing a whole lot of nothingness.

The Weirdest One: After months of successfully quitting hard drugs and letting go of unhealthy habits, I find myself with an-almost impossible addiction to get rid of. And that was my obsession to ice cream. Vanilla, Chocolate, Hazelnut, Rum Raisin, etc. I would eat at least a whole liter every day, sometimes combined with french fries. This innocent treat was harder to quit than cocaine and all the other addictions combined. It blew my mind how hard it was. Nowadays, you can find much healthier organic non-gmo coconut ice cream with monk sugar. That would of been good to have back in the day.

Plot Twist: Surprisingly, I never got addicted to coffee or cigarettes, even though I liked them and had some. I didn't get addicted, which most people struggle with. Maybe because I was too busy with everything else.

Looking at this list and learning overtime, I realized addiction isn't about the substance. it's about the habit I have created for myself, of using external things to avoid feeling what's really inside. And each person is unique to their desires and addictions. Thus, implemented strategically through the consumption and plutocratic culture.
.
.
.
The End of Part #1

To be continued…

Part #2 reveals:

The moment I flipped addiction into my greatest power. How saying "no" to everything rebuilt me from the inside out. The 3-year death and rebirth that led from broken boy in the mirror to regenerative communities across continents.

But more than my story - the system that's designed to keep you trapped. The exact strategies they use to harvest your life force. And why breaking free isn't just personal healing - it's how we heal our dying planet.

The path from consumer to creator. The "Exit & Build" revolution happening right now. The vision that's already becoming reality in Ecuador and spreading worldwide.

Your free Regenerative Culture Principles guide. The community waiting for you. The future the Earth is begging us to create.

The old world is ending. The new world needs you.

Cultures around the world are evolving, but how so? What does this have to do with Coherence?

Most people in the world are being driven by their surrounding "culture," mostly non-healthy and destructive, without knowing that they can take part in re-creating culture. As conscious beings with the power of choice, we can step outside these limiting patterns and redirect toward new pathways that benefit all life.

With no respect to our ancestors, some cultures have gone "sideways," so to speak. Most indigenous cultures in the past were more connected to life, having clarity to why they exist. Now, most of humanity has forgotten the connection, transforming culture with degenerative patterns, no real value. Currently, parents are raising their kids without any foundation to what is life all about. Maybe it was guided with purpose to be this way, an "agenda" perhaps, from those "hungry for power" over The People. (For more info on this "agenda for power", check out The Pyramid of Power.)

The Culture That Consumes

Today, we can observe that food, music, clothing, language, technology and overall habits are contaminating us-people and the world around us. Making us sick in many ways. The evidence is everywhere:

Processed foods designed for profit rather than nourishment

Media that captures attention rather than liberating potential

Economic systems that reward extraction over regeneration

Technologies that disconnect us from our bodies and the earth

Social structures that foster competition instead of cooperation

When you are consuming all these type of elements, you are also being consumed. This is consumption culture. There's so much to say about this, but let's talk about solutions.

Cultivating a Regenerative Alternative

How can we change our habits/culture in a way that actually heals, regenerates, and helps us all thrive? Including trees, plants, fungi, animals and insects.

What if each of our daily decisions and actions can radically change? Not only as an individual, but also as a culture.

Allow me to share 3 basic steps that you can apply today, ASAP, that will have major positive impact in your life in order to live in peace and harmony with all living beings on Earth.

These steps are the core actions for life transformation while "Building a Regenerative World", check out my last article Building a New World, where I clarify this further. While the journey may look different for different people, these fundamentals apply to most of us.

Step #1 - Self-Healing

Of course, all change starts with Self. Your personal health is the major basic component for everything else to thrive. Without it, you won't be able to function to your fullest potential and thrive. This means loving yourself first.

Make sure you heal, recover, regenerate yourself from any physical disease, wound, trauma, or mental limitations. Be wise and increase your will-power to be a healthy person. The basics:

Eat the best quality food you can access

Move your body daily in ways that you discover your potential

Establish meditation or mindfulness practices

Stop addiction patterns that drain your life force

Create rhythmic-habits that honor your unique nature

When your body is properly nourished and your mind clear, you become a stronger vessel for the work of regeneration. Health isn't just personal—it's political. Every bite of regenerative food is a vote for regenerative system.

Step #2 - Spiritual Connection

While you are establishing a good relationship with your healthy-self, you will start noticing your connection to spirit, the spiritual realm. Some people choose to start connecting with spirit first, and then will start noticing their connection to their personal health. Either way is fine.

Connecting to spirit means to communicate, to be aware of your existence in every sense, to be conscious that you are part of something bigger, with infinite love, where you are grateful for your existence, having purpose, being of service to the world and learning to become one with everything by simply, just being.

This spiritual awareness reveals:

Your purpose beyond material accumulation

Your role as a conscious co-creator

The infinite love that supports your existence

The power of gratitude as a creative force

The joy of service to something larger than yourself

When we reconnect with spiritual dimensions of existence, we naturally find ourselves motivated to create systems that honor all life, not just human convenience.

Step #3 - Relationship with Earth

When you start having spiritual communication, part of being of service is connecting to the land, Mother Earth. The way we honor and respect Mother Earth is by how conscious we are about all life and all existence. Thus, making decisions and actions that help create more life, taking care of nature and all beings. Question: What is the one daily habit that you are currently applying in order to help create more life?

The greatest impact comes through:

Composting to participate in nature's cycles while creating millions of microorganisms, life.

Starting your personal or community garden. Boosting the creating of more life.

Creating food forests that build ecosystem health. Allowing more life to interact with each other.

Talking to the plants directly and acknowledging their intelligence, because we are all sound and vibration.

Making choices that consider seven generations forward, because we are also intelligent like that.

Learning the indigenous history of your bioregion, because our ancestors already did some of this work.

This re-connection with Earth isn't optional, it's essential for our collective healing. As we rebuild our relationship with our basic elements: earth, water, air and fire, we remember that we are nature, not separate from it.

The Practice of Coherence

The mentioned steps are not new and you may already know about them. Though, are you applying them fully? These steps actually remind us about what life is about, and how living simply fulfills our lives greater than being distracted with the "need of things," being part of the consumption culture.

By applying these 3 steps, you begin to live in Coherence. Meaning that your decisions and actions may begin to align with the way you think, the way you talk, and the way you act. Living in coherence opens a next level of communication, a resonance, tuning into the frequency of existence, where favorable synchronicity occurs in return to your service of just being.

Quantum physics confirms what ancient wisdom traditions have always taught, when we achieve internal alignment, we create a clear signal that resonates with similar frequencies in the field of potential around us. This isnot "woo-woo thinking", this is cutting edge of science meeting the depth of spiritual wisdom.

Three Dimensions of Coherence

Internal Coherence
When your conscious mind, subconscious patterns, and physical body align, you experience:

Enhanced intuition that guides your decisions

Increased vitality and resilience

Improved immune function and overall health

Emotional stability even during challenges

Mental clarity and focused intention

Relational Coherence
When you achieve resonance with others, you naturally create:

Deeper understanding that transcends words

Collaborative creativity that exceeds individual capacity

Conflict resolution without power struggles

Authentic community built on shared values

Access to collective wisdom and intelligence

Earth Coherence
When you attune to natural rhythms and cycles, you develop:

Sensitivity to subtle energies in your environment

Timing that feels "lucky" but is actually aligned

Harmony with seasonal and celestial changes

Communication with non-human beings

Participation in larger planetary healing networks

These three dimensions of coherence aren't separate, they're mutually reinforcing aspects of the same phenomenon. This is very special because we are remembering of how to be whole.

Your Next Steps on the Regenerative Path

If you resonate with this message and need a hand to help you establish healthy habits, connect to spirit and to the land, we've got you.

We offer many ways to help you improve your life and be part of the regenerative movement worldwide.

One of the main methodologies we use to make this happen is through our SEEDS retreats, which we have carefully designed and crafted since 2014. We've helped hundreds of people transition into a Regenerative Lifestyle. Our retreats are designed to make this transition easier and faster.

Though, it is really not that easy. There is no hack for life transformation. SEEDS is actually a radical experience where you still have to do the work. You can do it on your own, and you will do great even though it may take time, - or - you can do it with us in community, and it would be a lot easier, plus it can be even fun with the support from everyone.

We also offer a 21-Day Regenerative Nutrition Detox Program and a 13-Week Regenerative Living Program helping you 1-on-1 to adopt new habits into your life. You can stay tuned for the upcoming dates for our programs, courses and events by subscribing to our website https://regenerativeculture.life/

There is no rush in starting, we have these offerings year-round. But don't wait too long. The longer you wait, the more complicated it is to de-program and re-program. So this can be your year where you can shift your entire being.

Join the Movement

Whether you're just beginning to question the dominant culture or you're already on the regenerative path, there's a place for you in this movement. Together, we're not just envisioning a better world, we're building it, one decision and action at a time.

Remember that regenerative culture isn't about perfection. It's about progress, about moving steadily toward greater alignment with life's natural systems. Each step you take ripples outward, influencing far more than you can see.

Final Words

Are you ready to live in coherence? The main take away of this article are the 3 Steps to life regeneration and coherence:

Self-Healing

Spiritual Connection

Relationship with Earth

Each of these steps have a lot of areas to be practiced, so take your time and be consistent. Again, one decision and action at a time.

Thanks for reading.

Many people talk about "building The New World - or - The New Earth" - but what does this really mean in our current global context? This exploration examines competing visions for our collective future and highlights the growing regenerative movement, grounded not only in ecological and social renewal but also in the profound shifts of consciousness and quantum reality.

----
¨This article offers a thoughtful and timely exploration of the concept of "The New World," contrasting the often dystopian narrative of the so-called "New World Order" with the hopeful, grassroots-driven vision of a truly regenerative world. It aligns well with the principles of regenerative culture, holistic consciousness, and alternative socio-ecological paradigms that emphasize healing, interconnectedness, and empowerment.¨
----

What do you understand by ¨Building the New World¨? How are you participating in it - or - addressing this situation?

When I say many people are talking about this, I mean political people, corporations, small businesses, scientists, ecological groups, spiritual groups, etc. I personally state and express with these words sometimes as well. However, I noticed, some people are not too convinced it's possible, saying it's a "new age - hippie" thing, as well as other people getting confused by thinking they are part of building something great without knowing the true agenda ¨behind the scenes¨. So what world are we building?

Let's start with a brief analysis of what "The New World" actually is, where does it come from? if it is beneficial or not? who actually benefits? do we just play along with it? - or - do we all get to participate?

Understanding "The New World": Origins and Implications

When we hear "The New World," it often evokes two very different images:

The New World Order (NWO): A centralized, technocratic system controlled by elite powers using technology for surveillance, social credit, and digital currencies to consolidate control. This vision is often cloaked in narratives of progress but ultimately serves a plutocratic agenda, as Michael Parenti’s Democracy for the Few ( I highly recommend this book) reveals through incisive political economy analysis. Also check out How to Opt-Out of the Technocratic State - by Derrick Broze.

The Regenerative World: A decentralized, life-affirming paradigm rooted in respect for all beings, indigenous wisdom, and the understanding that humanity is an integral part of a living Earth. This vision is emerging from the grassroots - from ecovillages, permaculture farms, spiritual communities, and freedom movements - all co-creating new ways of living that honor the sacredness of life. Subscribe for more reads at Regenerative Culture Chronicles by yours truly, Yoshi Pantera

Furthermore, meanwhile in the "real world", the same problems continue to rise. Have you been watching the "news" or social media lately? Me neither of course, it's not healthy to feed from low vibration news.

I am not saying ignore what's happening, but to embrace what-is in a different way. Because deep inside, we all already know what is happening.

You know what I am talking about. All of the politics between governments and corporations playing the same game, keeping humanity entertained with "both sides of the same coin" - or - "both wings of the same bird". Why does most of humanity keep falling for it?

Of course there is a lot more happening out there than politics. It's the same old-same old in my neighborhood. All problems being related to economy crashes, taxes rising, health decreasing, social crisis, war open for business, technocracy wanting more power, many animals and people killed daily for no reason other than greed, mother nature contaminated and exploited to please humanity, and we can go on and on, and on. All this since the beginning of human civilization. Can we actually create something new?

Great news comes with all this chaos. Opportunities. As many known masters have said, when there is chaos there is opportunity, where governments and corporations know this as well, taking advantage of situations to create the problems to then create solutions, while benefiting themselves "the few" with more money and power over the world. However, we can use these opportunities too.

Quantum Truths and Sacred Fires

Let’s get weird for a second. Quantum physics says reality isn’t fixed-it’s a probability field shaped by observation. You’re not just building a new world; you’re collapsing wave functions with every decision and action you make. When you:

Boycott factory-farmed food → You collapse the agro-industrial complex’s probability.

Meditate instead of doom-scrolling → You collapse collective anxiety into coherence.

Plant a guild of fruit trees → You collapse desertification into a food web.

Indigenous cultures knew this-not through equations, but through ceremony. The Aboriginal cool burns that prevent wildfires. The Mayan ¨milpa system¨ where corn, beans, and squash talk to each other through mycelium. This is quantum biology in action-and it’s how we’ll regenerate the world.

Most of us humans want new systems, new patterns of life and expand to new perceptions of our existence. Coming to the awareness that we can do way more than simple repetitive tasks. I don't mean to disrespect people's careers, 10 to 20 years plus life-jobs. However, we surely are designed to consistently challenge ourselves to new things, new phases of life that actually helps us evolve. Yes, repetition creates a master, but we can also master multiple skills in many fields. So don´t get too comfortable in one area. You may not be activating your full potential. Plus, ask yourself, how are your currently contributing to the regeneration of all life and building the new world? If your daily decisions and actions are not participating with this, then, you may want to reconsider your vision and purpose.

We have all, one way or another, been through the oppressing slavery system, with exploitative jobs, excessive hours, money problems, disconnection from self, lack of specific type of self-development education, affecting our personal health and much more. Most people are still in that lifestyle, and don't even know it, or even worse, they do know about it and don´t want to change at all. And that is not good.

Therefore, the need and the want of "building a New World". Some noticeable evident actions that are helping build the world are: The great awakening to modern economic servitude, the awakening to the power of self and true spirituality, the awakening to full inner creative potential, the awakening of already having the collective power to create our own harmonic reality.

All this awareness and power is backed by cultural daily actions, thus, new lifestyles that not only benefit thyself and our closer community, but also benefits all life. Again, don't get confused with the New World Order. This is an agenda planned by The World Economic Forum, The World Health Organization, Black Rock, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Technocrats like Google, Apple, Microsoft and many others. The "New World Order" aka "The Great Reset" does not truly serve the interest of the people nor it benefits all life. It mainly wants power and control by using technocracy, social credit scores, 15min smart cities, CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency), extreme surveillance systems, and much more.

We The People, those who are - or - want to be free, sovereign, healthy, conscious, abundant, thriving during our lifetime and for future generations, do NOT want this New World Order led by these organizations to happen. We did not consent nor voted to participate in this forced system. Instead, we are creating and already practicing new parallel systems. Systems that are based in Regenerative Culture ethics and principles. Principles that honor and respect all life, where we all have a voice and the power to thrive collectively.

These regenerative systems are already happening all over the world. Hundreds of thousands of people, individual people, groups, organizations, projects, intentional communities, ecovillages, small local governments are on the rise taking local-global action for building a new world. For example:

Transition Towns like Totnes in the UK, where local food systems, energy production, and economies are being redesigned for resilience

Regenerative Urban Neighborhoods like Huerto Roma Verde, a 100% self-sufficient permaculture system in the middle of big Mexico City. Showcasing a fully immersive regenerative lifestyle.

The City of Dawn in India - Auroville, a fully operational city project of 5km in diameter demonstrating how a large regenerative system can operate. Founded in 1968.

Regenerative farms like Rio Muchacho Permaculture Farm in Ecuador, Wild Earth Farm and Sanctuary in Irvine Kentucky, and Finca Luna Nueva in Costa Rica that restore ecosystems while producing abundant food, just to name a few of thousands.

Community currencies such as Muyu Social Coin in Ecuador, BerkShares in Massachusetts and the Time Banking

Just like so, there are tens of thousands of regenerative projects worldwide. Thus, a new Regenerative World is rising, with a new humanity, connected to the collective consciousness, to spirit, to self, to the land, to the trees, to the animals, to all life...

While "building The New World" can mean different visions for different people, the important aspect of these diversity of perspectives is to learn how to combine them all in a way that benefits all life. By using a governance system that is not hierarchical. Where every country, or better yet, borderless bio-regions, can organize themselves to self-govern while thriving collectively. Being self-sufficient as much as possible, resilient with all neighbors and organized within local goods and services. This is happening. There are already many ways, systems, examples, books, technology, experience and wisdom in order to continue building these new systems. Thus, the main purpose of the Regenerative Culture Movement, Permaculture and Ecological Movements, Freedom Movements, Spiritual Movements, Health & Wellness Movement, Love Movements, Indigenous Movements, Vegan Movements, Animal Liberation Movements, Sacred Sexuality Movements and many more.

So just to be more clear on which of "building The New World" we actually are talking about, let's extend our awareness to what is already happening in the Regenerative Movement, the term is being expressed as "Let's build and grow a Regenerative World".

Your Invitation (Not a Manual)

Forget "10 Steps to Save the World." Regeneration is a love language and a lifestyle. It’s:

Letting dandelions grow because bees are more important than lawn aesthetics.

Hosting a skill-share where you teach fermenting kimchi and learn to mend jeans.

Breathing through the rage when you see another COP30 failure-then composting that anger into mycelial networks.

The new world isn’t built-it’s grown. And you’re already doing it, one decision and action at a time.

How Can You Participate?

As you've seen the problems in our current systems – from environmental degradation to economic inequality – your personal choices can help create the solutions. Consider these actions:

Learning regenerative practices, starting with nutrition, spirituality and permaculture.

Starting with small changes in your own home and community

Connecting with others already practicing these principles

Sharing your unique skills and perspective about what do you want to see in the world

Simplifying your life and increasing your self-reliance

Mainly, change outside starts within thyself. Our inner dialogue, our thought patterns, our intentions, our love to ourselves, thus our love to all life. Every conscious decision and action of every day life brings us closer to the world we want to create together. Again, it is happening already. The invitation is open for you to join the movement.

If you want to learn more about how to transition from a Degenerative Culture into a Regenerative Culture lifestyle, you can subscribe to our Regenerative Culture Chronicle as well as joining our Regen Tribe and upcoming courses, programs and retreats on our new website https://regenerativeculture.life/

About the Author

Yoshi Pantera founded Collective Wave in 2009, a Regenerative Culture production team dedicated to designing and executing projects that benefit all life.
