With all the benefits that cryptocurrency has to offer, from passive income to financial freedom, women are more interested in cryptocurrencies than ever. A recent study shows that the number of women buying crypto for the first time is now outpacing men.

This spike in crypto adoption is mainly happening in the 25 to 44 age bracket, AKA millennials. So what is sparking this fierce interest in crypto among female millennials? Crypto and NFT (non-fungible token) dialogue is hard to miss on social media these days, with even some of the biggest female celebrities, such as Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria and Reese Witherspoon, using their latest NFT purchases as their profile pictures. The hashtag #Bitcoin sees over 4,000 unique tweets, 46.8 million views and 4,700 retweets per hour, and @Bitcoin has over 4 million followers, making it one of the most popular accounts on Twitter.

Decentralised Investment Group (DIG) recognises the importance of empowering women at the forefront of crypto industry, with their Chief Marketing Officer, Lilli Brant, spearheading their inclusive mission:

The top barriers identified by women who don’t currently own crypto include not knowing how to get started, and not understanding crypto utility. However, these barriers to entry can easily be overcome through education, which is why it’s crucial that women and girls continue to educate themselves about blockchain and decentralisation, whilst also supporting other females in the space. Enjin’s mission is simply to make the gaming world fairer.

For those who aren’t familiar with gaming, currently almost every game offers microtransactions. These are small purchases you can make in the game with real money so you can obtain extra’s like power-ups, a better character/car or purely cosmetic items.

The problem with these is that they are locked in the game, meaning that if you buy them, you’ll never be able to redeem them for real money again or most often won’t be able to trade them with others. There is however a limited amount of games where players can trade between each other, an example would be the Car-football game called Rocket League where users can trade cars, liveries, wheels and goal-celebrations. This created a huge sub-part of the game and attracted many more gamers.

While this definetly is a step in the right direction, we would rather be able to have complete ownership of our digital items and be able to buy and sell them easly, quickly and when we like. Well, that’s exactly the problem that Enjin’s trying to solve.

Enjin transforms these in-game items into NFT’s, allowing you to buy or sell items on the Enjin marketplace and immediatly redeem them for Enjin coins if you wanted the money.

The gaming market is a huge and is only projected to grow in the coming years, with Enjin being a clear leader in the space I’d hope to see regular games coming to the blockchain and building on Enjin.

Enjin has built a server on the popular game Minecraft where it has fully integrated its marketplace. In this particular ‘Enjincraft’ server you can buy in-game assets from the Enjin wallet and immedialy have them at your disposal in the actual game. This is a huge step forward and helps games like Minecraft see the potential of games on blockchain and of course on the Enjin platform.

Enjin also has partnerships with both Samsung and Microsoft which again depicts it’s image of being the clear leader in this Gaming/NFT space.

Insider Token distribution is a huge problem in Crypto as many firms give substantial amounts (>50%) of the token supply to insiders which eventually leads up to the insiders dumping all their coins on the retail investors.

Luckily, Enjin isn’t an example of this, as 80% went to the public, 10% will be used by the company to pay bills, invest in others,… and another 10% goes to the team.

There is a max supply of 1 Billions tokens, with the current supply at 855 Million tokens which should mean that inflation won’t exceed 5%

In total 10.3 Million Enjin coins have been spent on digital assets on the marketplace, at the current price of 2 USD that would translate into 20.6 Million Dollars.

In 2020 over 56 Billion Dollars was spent on in-game items, if Enjin were to capture only 0.1% of that total then that would result in their marketplace almost tripling in value, coming down to 56 Million in volume.

Combining this with the tokenomics, adoption and Gaming-industry disruption, I’d put a conservative price prediction at 6–8 Dollars by the end of 2022.

Enjin’s idea is very disruptive while the Gaming-industry is huge. The total gaming industry is worth 178 Billion in 2021 which makes Enjin’s networth at 1.7 Billion a very tiny number. This on top of the expected overal growth of the gaming industry makes a clear point about how much bigger Enjin could become.

I identify Enjin as a clear leader in the Gaming/NFT space and are set up well to 2,3,4, 5x or more in worth over the coming years/months.
