Why Rust?

As I aim to level up my skills and gain a more comprehensive skill set, I am drawn to Rust for several compelling reasons. Its widespread popularity within the developer community attests to its significance and relevance in the modern programming landscape. However, what truly captivates me is Rust’s unique array of possibilities. With its emphasis on low-level control, memory safety, performance, and error prevention, Rust stands out for its robustness.

These aspects of Rust offer an invaluable opportunity to dive deeper into the foundational principles of computer science and build resilient and secure software.

The main program I intend to follow:

• The Rust Programming Language - this will serve as the foundation of my learning, to get to know the fundamentals and to provide me a comprehensive understanding of Rust’s concepts and syntax

• Rust by example - to be used as a complement to the book, offering practical examples that reinforce the theoretical knowledge gained from the book.

• Rustlings - practice makes perfect! It will be my hands-on playground and I am confident the interactive nature of it will help me internalize concepts and hone my coding skills

• Project ideas - building my own projects. Starting with simple ideas, I will gradually tackle more complex concepts to create a portfolio that showcases my proficiency in Rust.
