Our approach for our NFT Project, Menacing Chibis, is kind of a different one.

I always believed that NFTs should be utility-focused. The main reason is so that we can help the masses truly understand what NFTs are capable of.

When a normal person think about NFTs, they automatically think it’s just a jpeg bought with crypto that has a ridiculously high price. Therefore we wanted to create a framework to evangelize NFTs by being selling it cheap, has utility on day 1, has beautiful artwork, and has a metaverse-y vibe.

By “metaverse-y vibe”, some of you might have already watched Ready Player One or Sword Art Online. For those who haven’t yet, both shows are set in a world where a certain technology allows them to “deep-dive” into a game universe (very much like today’s metaverse) with their own personalized avatars.

This is our concept behind Menacing Chibis; to allow people to have metaverse representation of themselves -- not just as random animals -- but how they truly envision themselves in a fictional universe like in Ready Player One and SAO.

Recently we’ve just completed a milestone in our “utility first” quest in the form of Daily Lives of Rolling-kai Twitter Bot. And I would like to apologize for the people who have already invested in us who haven’t gotten their Menacing Chibi yet. Our sole artist is a freshman college student, who, unfortunately, have been very busy for the past weeks. But rest assured that we are putting in reps -- no matter how small -- of whatever we could to make our vision happen.

Aside from the written lores in our discord server, Ro11ingButler is here to serve bite-sized -- sometimes quirky -- incident reports on what is happening in the Rolling-kai Fictional Universe on an hourly basis. The bot will keep on tweeting forever -- that means investors will continuously keep on getting value in the form of entertainment -- forever.

Moving forward

Daily Lives of Rolling-kai took a couple of months to be published, and since its completion, we have several options where to branch out next. This means that the next target would most likely take months to complete as well.

The following list is the action-plan we would be spearheading to next:

• Landmarks NFT - A twitter banner project depicting landmarks in the Rolling-kai fictional universe (🟡 Effort: moderate)

• Menacing Chibis Smart Contract (🔴 Effort: heavy)

• Build your own Chibi (🔴 Effort: heavy)

• Menacing Chibis Metadata Portal (🔴 Effort: heavy)

• (Optional) Make Daily Lives of Rolling-kai Open Source (🔵 Effort: light)

I’m a solo developer working on this project and I realized this endeavor was more difficult than expected. But that won’t stop me for realizing our vision.

The Menacing Chibis Ecosystem is going to be our contribution to the ever-growing Web 3.0 space.
