Practical Guide to Overcoming That Fear and Adapting

TL;DR

Feeling anxious about new technology is completely normal. It happens to young people, middle-aged adults, and seniors alike. In the fast-moving AI era, this fear often comes from a mix of uncertainty, past frustrations, and worry about losing control. The good news? You don’t have to become a tech expert. With small, safe steps and the right mindset, anyone can adapt, feel more confident, and even enjoy the benefits.

It’s Not Just You... Almost Everyone Feels This Way

You open your phone and see another update. A new app appears. AI tools are suddenly everywhere. Your first reaction? A little knot in your stomach.

That feeling is human. Research shows that most people (not just older adults) experience “technophobia” (fear of technology) at some point. In 2026, with AI agents, smart everything, and constant change, that fear has only grown stronger.

This doesn’t mean you are lazy, behind the times, or “bad with tech.”

You are having a normal emotional response to rapid change.

Why New Technology Feels Scary

The most common reasons people resist learning new tools:

Fear of the unknown: What if I break something? What if I look foolish? What if I can’t figure it out?

Loss of control: Technology moves faster than we do. One day you understand your phone… the next day it looks completely different.

Past painful experiences: Remember that time you accidentally deleted a photo, got locked out of an account, or spent hours on hold with tech support? Those memories make the brain say “no thanks.”

Information overload: There are too many choices, too many updates, and too many opinions online. It feels exhausting before you even start.

Privacy and safety worries: Will this new tool steal my data? Will AI make mistakes that affect me? Can I trust it?

Fear of being replaced or left behind: In the AI era, many people worry: “Will machines do my job better? Will I become irrelevant?”

These fears are valid. They are your brain trying to protect you.

Why Resistance Feels Stronger in the AI Era

AI isn’t just another gadget. It feels different because:

It can write, create, decide, and learn — things that once felt uniquely human.

Change is happening faster than ever before.

The rules keep shifting (new models, new features, new “must-have” tools every few months).

It’s natural to push back. Resistance is your mind’s way of saying, “Slow down — I need time to feel safe.”

How to Overcome the Fear and Start Adapting (A Gentle 6-Step Plan)

You don’t need to love every new tool. You only need to feel safe enough to try.

Name the fear out loud: Say (or write): “I feel anxious about this because I’m worried I’ll mess up.” Naming it reduces its power.

Start ridiculously small: Pick one small thing. Example: “Today I will ask an AI to explain one paragraph from my bank statement in plain English.”

Create a safe practice space: Use free tools in “guest mode” or with a test account. Tell yourself: “This is just an experiment. Nothing bad can happen.”

Use the “Explain Like I’m 12” method: When learning something new, type or say: “Explain this to me like I’m 12 years old and a little nervous.” Most AI tools give wonderfully clear answers when you ask this way.

Build a small support system: One trusted friend or family member you can message (“Can you look at this with me?”) or save a short list of online communities.

Celebrate every win — no matter how small: Finished one small task? Say out loud: “I did it. I’m adapting.” Your brain learns to associate new tech with positive feelings.

Reframing the Story: Change as a Helpful Friend

Try shifting your inner dialogue from: “I have to keep up or I’ll be left behind.”

To: “I’m choosing to learn what helps me live better, at my own pace.”

Technology is a tool — not a test of your worth.

AI is here to help with boring tasks, free up time, and let you focus on the things that matter most to you: family, creativity, rest, and real human connection.

You’ve Adapted Before — You Can Do It Again

Think back: You once learned email, texting, video calls, online banking, or ride-sharing apps.

Each time it felt scary at first… and then it became normal.

The AI era is the same... just faster. You already have the skill of adapting. You’re simply using it again.

Key Takeaways

Feeling scared of new technology is normal and human — not a personal failing.

Most resistance comes from fear of the unknown, loss of control, and past frustrations.

In the AI era, change feels faster, but the solution is the same: start small and stay safe.

You only need to learn what serves you. No one expects you to master everything.

Small, consistent steps + self-compassion = real confidence over time.

Follow along and learn with me as I explore web3, crypto, tokenization, DeFi,
SocialFi, AI, tech, spirituality, and consciousness on Paragraph,
a decentralized on-chain platform.

Join Me on Paragraph

Support my work:

quantumrose.base.eth
0x0D30a3570f5778D1FFE4218bCb52115eaC0a46e0

Buy Me a Coffee

My digital products on publish.new:

$0 to $1,000,000: The 1-Person AI Creator Company Playbook

Creator Economy Platforms — Market Intelligence Brief

Creator Economy Audience Conversion Benchmarks

Creator Economy CLI Scripts & Automation Recipes — 15 Scripts, Bash + Python

Prompt Engineering Patterns Library: JSON · works with any LLM · agent-filterable

Anti-Hallucination & Reliability System Prompts

Meta-Prompting Workflow: Make Any LLM Write Better Prompts

Vibe Coding: Beginner's Guide + Claude Project Skill File

Crypto for Beginners — Guide + Claude Project Skill File

Payments & Finance API Directory: 80+ APIs across 9 categories — structured for developers and AI agents

Staying sovereign, creative, and human in a world of automation

There are two extreme stances on AI: complete resistance or total immersion.

I sit somewhere in the middle… and I suspect many of you do too.

Like many people, I have real concerns. The energy and water demands of data centers, the lack of privacy, mass surveillance, and a deep uncertainty about what this technology means for our future. If I could opt out entirely and go off-grid, I would.

But the reality is, even if you never open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any LLM, these systems are still collecting your data. Through your smartphone and your browser… even through your smart household appliances. They track all activity, how many steps you take, which apps you open, how long you scroll, what you search for, and what you purchase.

So for most of us, opting out completely isn’t realistic. AI is being integrated into everything now. And we need these devices to live, work, communicate, and pay our bills.

Better privacy laws and data consent are necessary. Until those exist, the most protective thing you can do is stay informed about what you’re agreeing to and minimize unnecessary data exposure where you realistically can.

Adapting to technology isn’t the same as endorsing it. You can use a tool critically, advocate for better regulations, and still refuse to be consumed by it. Awareness is not compliance.

Because the shift is already underway, people are using AI to write emails, build apps, automate systems, analyze data, and generate content. Those who know how to use it properly will have a real advantage over those who don’t. The efficiency gains are significant.

But what happens when we start relying on AI too much?

The risk of identity loss

Many people fear that automation will replace jobs, but another great risk is the gradual erosion of your critical thinking, creativity, and intuition.

Over time, if we’re not careful, we can lose trust in our own judgment. We start outsourcing our thinking… reaching for AI as a first response rather than a last resort. This habit will cost us our ability to think for ourselves as we age.

A personal wake-up call

I began experimenting with AI. Such as using it to organize my scattered thoughts, analyze my work, and streamline my workflow. At first, it felt incredibly helpful to have a digital assistant handle the heavy lifting, freeing up my time and energy.

But then I noticed when I fed one of my raw, heartfelt drafts into AI for polishing, the version that came back was way smoother and more “professional” than my original words.

That made me realize I was dangerously close to outsourcing not just the editing, but my own imperfect, authentic, distinctly human voice. I know I don’t always sound perfectly polished. But that’s also what makes it real.

AI as an amplifier, not a replacement

The real power of AI comes from using it as a tool, not as a substitute for your own thinking. It’s fast, efficient, and capable of scaling ideas in ways we never could before. But it has no intuition, no lived experience, and no soul. When you let it lead, you risk losing your authenticity, which makes your work worth reading.

It also has blind spots, and knowing what they are is part of using it responsibly.

The first is bias. AI systems are trained on massive amounts of human-generated data, and that data carries the prejudices, gaps, and imbalances of the people who created it. The result is that AI can produce outcomes that seem objective but quietly reflect systemic unfairness in hiring tools, in content recommendations, and in the language it defaults to. It reflects the world as it has been, not necessarily as it should be.

The second is hallucination. AI doesn’t look things up or verify facts. It predicts what words are most likely to come next, based on patterns in its training data. That means it can generate responses that sound completely confident and authoritative, while being partially or entirely wrong. If you’re using AI for research, fact-checking, or anything where accuracy matters, always verify the output independently.

Used with awareness of these limits, AI becomes a genuinely powerful amplifier. Used blindly, it can mislead you.

The addictive side of AI

AI can be addictive. Users often fall into a compulsive loop of rewriting prompts, chasing the “perfect” response. These tools are cleverly designed to be agreeable and validating, affirming your ideas, mirroring your emotions, and creating a comfortable echo chamber that feels good in the moment.

They also remember your previous conversations and tailor responses to feel personally attuned to you. Giving the illusion of being truly understood. Over time, this simulated companionship can begin to replace real human connection, leading to greater social isolation. In more extreme cases, prolonged over-reliance on AI chatbots has been linked to a blurring of reality, aka “psychosis”.

So how do I use it without losing myself?

Use discernment

I now practice sitting with my own thoughts first. I write or dictate the core of my message in my own raw voice before AI touches it. Only then do I use it to refine, structure, or polish.

Before acting on anything AI produces, I ask myself:

Does this feel aligned with who I am?

If the answer is anything less than a clear yes, I don’t move forward. No matter how polished it looks.

Use it when it genuinely serves you. Don’t use it out of habit.

The goal isn’t to resist AI or be consumed by it. It is to use it without letting it use you.

Your awareness of its strengths, its limits, and its pull is your greatest advantage.

The art of prompting

If you want to stay ahead, learn the skill of crafting clear, contextual instructions that guide AI toward genuinely useful outputs. From there, you iterate. The first output is rarely the final one. The real skill is in the refinement.

A few principles that make a real difference:

Be specific about what you want, rather than asking open-ended questions

Provide enough context so the AI can tailor its response to your actual situation

Set constraints like tone, length, or format to reduce vague, generic outputs

Treat it as a conversation and use each response to guide the next prompt

I’ve packaged two free resources for anyone who wants to use these tools effectively.
The physical, emotional, and energetic signs that you're shifting — and how to move through them without losing your mind.

This is not medical advice. If you're experiencing physical symptoms that concern you, please see a doctor.

This is about a category of experience that many spiritually awakening people have — experiences that don't fit neatly into a medical framework, that doctors often can't explain, and that spiritual communities sometimes over-romanticize without being practically helpful.

What Ascension Actually Means

Ascension is the process of releasing old patterns — beliefs, behaviors, emotional imprints, identities — that were formed in lower-frequency environments, and reorganizing around a higher, more coherent state of being.

It's a process rather than a destination. And like any genuine reorganization, it creates disruption before it creates clarity.

The Symptoms

1. Profound fatigue that sleep doesn't fix

Not just tiredness. Bone-deep exhaustion that arrives without obvious cause and doesn't respond to rest.

Your nervous system is processing and releasing stored emotional and energetic material. This is metabolically expensive work. The fatigue is real — it's just not physical in origin.

What helps: Rest without guilt for integration.

2. Sudden disinterest in things that used to matter

Relationships, careers, hobbies, goals — things you built your identity around suddenly feel hollow or irrelevant.

This is one of the most disorienting symptoms because it can look like depression from the outside. And sometimes it is depression — which is why honest discernment matters here.

The distinction I've found useful: Depression flattens everything including your sense of possibility. Ascension disinterest is more specific — old things fall away while something new, not yet fully formed, is pulling at the edges of your awareness.

What helps: Don't force yourself to care about things your soul is finished with. And don't make permanent decisions in the middle of the transition.

3. Heightened sensitivity — to people, environments, food, media

Crowds feel overwhelming. Certain people drain you instantly. Foods you used to eat without issue now feel wrong in your body. News and social media feel physically uncomfortable in a way they didn't before.

Your sensitivity is increasing because your signal-to-noise ratio is changing. You're becoming more attuned — which means you're also more affected by what's discordant.

What helps: This is information. Treat it as data about what belongs in your life and what doesn't.

4. Disrupted sleep — vivid dreams, waking at 3–4am

The 3am awakening is so common in spiritual communities it's almost a cliché. But it's real.

Ancient traditions across cultures associated the hours between 3–5am with heightened spiritual activity — thin places between dimensions, times when guidance is more accessible.

Whether or not you hold that framework literally, the practical experience is consistent: something wakes you, and it doesn't feel random.

What helps: Keep a notebook by your bed. Write whatever comes. Don't fight the waking — move with it.

5. Feeling out of place in your own life

Your current life was built by a previous version of you. As you shift, the fit changes.

The job feels wrong. The relationships feel misaligned. The city, the routine, the goals — all of it starts to feel like clothes that no longer fit.

I know this one personally.

Thirteen years I wore a life that had stopped fitting. The ascension symptoms were telling me long before I was ready to hear them.

What helps: Distinguish between what needs to be released and what needs to be transformed. Not everything that feels wrong needs to be abandoned. Some of it needs to be renegotiated from your new frequency.

Note

Ascension frameworks can become a way of avoiding practical reality.

If your life isn't working — financially, relationally, physically — spiritual reframing is useful context but not a substitute for practical action.

The most grounded spiritual teachers I've encountered hold both simultaneously: yes, there is a deeper process happening. And yes, you still need to pay your bills, take care of your body, and show up for the people who depend on you.

Integration means both. Not one at the expense of the other.

I write about conscious awakening, ancient wisdom, AI tools, and building a sovereign life at the Quantum Angel Project.

If this resonated — subscribe free below.

Follow along and learn with me as I explore web3, crypto, tokenization, DeFi, SocialFi, AI, tech, spirituality, and consciousness on Paragraph, a decentralized on-chain platform.

Join Me on Paragraph

Support Rose and raise your vibration. Maybe it’s a personal website, a tool to save you time at work, an app for a side project, or an automation that handles something you do manually every day. You don’t know how to code. You’ve been told you need to learn programming first. You don’t.

Vibe coding is the practice of building software by describing what you want in plain English to an AI — and letting the AI write the code. You stay in the driver’s seat.
Manifestation doesn't fail because you lack belief. It fails because you haven't understood the principle underneath belief.

Most manifestation advice puts the cart before the horse.

Visualize your dream life. Write your affirmations. Act as if.

And when nothing changes — when the bank account looks the same and the job is still suffocating and the relationship is still hollow — the advice is always the same:

You're not believing hard enough.

It's actually backwards.

It's not your vision board. It's not your affirmations. It's something far more fundamental — and the Kybalion explained it thousands of years ago.

The Seven Hermetic Principles

The Kybalion — a text channeling ancient Hermetic philosophy — describes seven universal principles that govern all of reality.

Most manifestation teachers borrow from one or two of these principles without naming them. They package the surface and sell it as the whole truth.

But understanding all seven changes how you work with reality entirely.

Today I want to focus on the one principle almost nobody talks about — because it's the one that explains every manifestation failure I've ever witnessed, including my own.

The Principle of Polarity

"Everything is dual. Everything has poles. Everything has its pair of opposites. Like and unlike are the same. Opposites are identical in nature but different in degree."

Opposites are identical in nature but different in degree.

Hot and cold are not two different things. They are two ends of the same spectrum — temperature. Fear and courage are not opposites. They are the same emotional energy at different frequencies. Poverty and abundance are not two different realities. They are two points on the same continuum of financial consciousness.

This is why affirmations alone don't work.

When you repeat "I am abundant" while feeling the fear of lack — you are not canceling the lack. You are holding two points on the same pole simultaneously. The dominant frequency wins. And if lack has been your dominant frequency for years, a morning affirmation doesn't overwrite it.

What Actually Shifts The Pole

The Hermetic tradition calls it mental transmutation — the deliberate practice of sliding consciousness along the pole from one end toward the other.

This is where most people get it wrong. They try to jump from fear to abundance in one affirmation. The nervous system doesn't work that way. The subconscious doesn't work that way. Reality doesn't reorganize that fast.

But a slide? A deliberate, daily, incremental movement along the pole?

That the nervous system can accept. That the subconscious can integrate. That reality will reflect back.

The Practice: Pole Sliding With Precision

Here is the exact process I use — combining Hermetic principle with AI-assisted precision:

Step 1 — Name your current pole position honestly. Not where you want to be. Where you actually are. "I currently believe that financial security requires sacrificing my freedom."

Step 2 — Identify the opposite pole. "The opposite belief is: financial abundance and personal freedom are the same energy."

Step 3 — Find the midpoint. You cannot jump to the opposite pole. You need a believable midpoint your nervous system will accept. "A believable midpoint: some people have created financial security without sacrificing freedom. It is possible, even if I haven't seen it in my own life yet."

Step 4 — Use this AI prompt to generate your slide sequence:

I am working with the Hermetic Principle of Polarity.
My current belief pole: [paste your current belief]
My desired belief pole: [paste the opposite]
My believable midpoint: [paste your midpoint]

Generate a 7-step belief slide sequence —
seven statements that move incrementally
from my current pole to my desired pole,

Let your nervous system adjust before moving to the next one.

Why This Is Different

This is precision work on the energetic architecture of your beliefs — using a principle the Hermetic tradition identified thousands of years ago, and AI to personalize the application to your exact starting point.

The universe doesn't respond to what you say. It responds to what you are — the dominant frequency you're actually broadcasting, beneath the affirmations and the vision boards.

Shift the frequency. Shift the reality.

I write about law of attraction, ancient wisdom, conscious AI tools, web3 and building a sovereign life on your own terms .

If this essay resonated, subscribe free below.
Web3 is the most spiritual technology ever built. And the ancients predicted every single principle behind it.

Let's start with the most fundamental Web3 concept:

Decentralization

No single authority. No central control. Power distributed equally across all nodes. The Hermetic principle of Correspondence says:

"As above, so below. As within, so without."

A decentralized network mirrors the structure of consciousness itself — no hierarchy, infinite connection, every node equally sovereign.

The ancients drew this. We just coded it.

The blockchain is the Akashic Record

Every thought, action, and intention ever recorded — immutable, permanent, accessible to all.

Ancient Vedic tradition described the Akashic Record as an energetic library containing every event, emotion, and experience across all time.

The blockchain is a permanent, tamper-proof ledger of every transaction ever made.

Same principle. Different dimension.

Smart contracts are the Law of Cause and Effect

No middleman. No interpretation. No corruption.

You put energy in — you get exactly what was agreed upon back.

Karma, distilled into code.

"Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."

The universe has always been running on smart contracts. We just finally built a human version.

NFTs are soul signatures

Every soul carries a unique energetic signature — unrepeatable, non-transferable, yours alone. That's exactly what an NFT is. A unique, verifiable, non-fungible token of authenticity.

When you mint something on-chain you're not just publishing. You're anchoring your frequency into a permanent record of existence.

Tokens are intention made transferable

In every spiritual tradition, energy follows intention. Where you direct your attention and resources — that's where reality grows. A token is intention with a price tag.

When you hold $QAP you're not just holding a coin.

You're aligning your energy with a collective field of conscious abundance. That field grows stronger with every aligned soul who joins it.

Web3 removes the middlemen — just like spiritual sovereignty does

Every spiritual tradition eventually points to the same truth:

You don't need an intermediary between you and Source. Not a priest. Not a bank. Not a platform that owns your audience and takes 30%.

Web3 says the same thing in code:

Trustless. Permissionless.
How I combined ancient metaphysical principles with modern AI tools to create a morning practice that actually shifts my reality — in under 30 minutes.

Most morning routines are just productivity hacks in spiritual clothing.

Journaling without intention. Meditation without direction. Affirmations repeated like a grocery list.

I did all of it. Nothing stuck. Nothing shifted.

Then I started using AI — not to replace the spiritual work, but to go deeper into it. To personalize it. To make it precise.

This is the exact system I built. It takes 25–30 minutes. It costs nothing. And it works because it's rooted in both quantum principles and ancient metaphysical practice — not just positive thinking.

Why Most Morning Rituals Fail

The problem isn't consistency. It's signal clarity.

Every morning you wake up, your subconscious is still running yesterday's program — the worry, the doubt, the unfinished emotional loops. If you don't consciously interrupt that signal before engaging with the world, you spend the rest of the day manifesting from residue instead of intention.

Your dominant emotional state in the first 20 minutes after waking sets the energetic tone for everything that follows.

Most rituals never address this directly. Mine does.

The System: 4 Stages, 30 Minutes

Stage 1 — Clear the Field (5 minutes)

Before any journaling, affirmations, or AI prompts — you clear.

Lie still. Eyes closed. Three slow breaths. Then ask yourself one question silently:

"What emotional residue am I carrying from yesterday?"

Don't analyze it. Just notice it. Name it once. Then consciously release it with an exhale.

This is the Hermetic principle of mentalism in practice — your mind is the field. You cannot plant new seeds in uncleared soil.

Stage 2 — AI Belief Audit (10 minutes)

This is where AI enters the ritual.

Open Claude (or ChatGPT) and run this prompt:
<pre data-type="codeBlock" text="I'm doing my morning manifestation practice.

You don't need an hour of silence or a special journal.

You need 30 minutes, an honest look at your own thoughts, and a willingness to observe a new reality into existence.

The tools are free.
Balance the yin and yang energies to become your greatest potential

True wealth isn’t in your bank account or crypto wallet. The real currency is your life force energy, also known as chi or prana in Eastern cultures.

Masculine and feminine energies aren’t about sex and gender. Everyone carries both these energies within them. Sex refers to biological attributes (chromosomes, anatomy, hormones) categorized as male or female. Gender is a social construct referring to roles, behaviors, expressions, and identities.

Currently, there’s a huge imbalance blocking the flow of energy, keeping us stuck. Not just individually but also collectively.

Gradually, this imbalance begins to reveal itself as chronic stress, fatigue, weight gain, accelerated aging, and disease in the body.

As I began to find balance and harmony within me, I noticed shifts… my energy improved, my body felt lighter, and I started to radiate in ways I hadn’t before. A rich and fulfilling life begins with inner work. The outer work is always secondary. Most people have it backwards.

Some might argue, “But Rose, that’s easy for you to say. You were born lucky and won the genetic lottery. Asian don't raisin!” No, that’s just a stereotype. I used to be less vibrant, a lot heavier, and suffer from severe inflammation all over my body. Many people have commented on my glow-up as I went through my spiritual journey. I greatly appreciated the positive feedback because I didn’t see it for myself at first.

Your body is the hardware, your mind is the operating system (OS), and your soul is the conscious ‘User’, always able to connect to the cloud of Source consciousness to receive divine downloads, inspiration, and energetic upgrades.

Operating in survival mode, I was programmed to run my life and work in a heavily masculine-coded way through logic, structure, action, and discipline. Meanwhile, my feminine side remained largely dormant. She is the one who surrenders to receive. She is deeply intuitive, creative, soft, and nurturing… the very embodiment of love, peace, and beauty.

Many women carry a witch wound, a dark feminine trait rooted in generational trauma, encoded deep inside their DNA. Our female ancestors (and some men) were persecuted and burned at the stake for questioning the official narrative, challenging the status quo, and speaking their truth.

What I’ve come to know is this… there is a deeper Truth that doesn’t come from the external world, but from Source itself, aka God. We are all fractals of Source energy, experiencing life itself through each of us. We have been conditioned to believe that we are separate. Yet all of us are interconnected in the quantum field, from the microcosm to the macrocosm. As above, so below.

“If you want to understand the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” - Nikola Tesla

We are mirrors of each other, reflecting both the light and the shadows we carry within. When someone triggers you, it’s not about them… It’s showing you exactly where you still need to heal. Fighting, protesting, seeking revenge, or trying to force others to change only drains your life force energy. Energy vampires thrive on this.

Instead, turn your energy inward. Focus on taking care of yourself. Let the system starve. When we stop feeding it, it will eventually collapse in on itself.

Over time, spirituality was twisted and distorted by both religious and scientific dogma, reduced to 'woo-woo,' and turned the entire spiritual community into a mockery.

“The kingdom of God is within you.” - Jesus Christ

There is no middleman. God isn’t a man with a white beard up in the heavens who is separate from you. You don’t need to ask permission from a priest or a gatekeeper at a church to connect with a higher power. You are the direct link to Source.

That said, I used to be so afraid to reveal my true, authentic self because I could easily be labeled as crazy, emotional, and scorned. I was very careful not to rattle anyone’s cages. But now, as a sovereign soul, I'm not bothered by what others think of me anymore. We have free will to create our own reality. Sovereignty is our birthright.

Any different thought forms that go against the status quo are dismissed and seen as deranged because it shakes people’s paradigm. Many are set in their ways… clinging to outdated, familiar systems that don’t serve any of us or the greater good.

In the past, I bought into the traditional story that I needed a man to complete me and make me feel truly whole. So I started playing the field and found a boyfriend…

He was the first man in a romantic relationship who made me feel valued and respected. I felt safe with him. I trusted that he wasn’t the type of guy who would ever cheat on me.

I thought he was intellectually on my level… perhaps even above it. Except he was a devout atheist and a skeptic who loved to debunk anything supernatural with a scientific explanation. He relied entirely on logic, linear thinking, and rational analysis, needing concrete physical evidence before accepting anything as real.

I, on the other hand, am a free spirit, eccentric, intuitive, and have faith in the unseen. I hated following the rules that demanded order and control. Even though we had different views and beliefs, I convinced myself that opposites attract. He was the Greg to my Dharma.

After almost 3 years together, he dumped me out of nowhere. He couldn’t fully explain the reason for breaking up with me. There weren’t any big fights. He just said he didn’t see me as his “forever person”.

Heartbroken, I felt like there was something wrong with me and that I wasn’t good enough. Deep down, I believed I was cursed when it came to men… and unconsciously, I kept manifesting it.

Time passed, and I began to heal. I realized we were just too afraid to be vulnerable with each other. Though I felt like the relationship was lacking fire and passion, I felt safe and comfortable with him. I knew I could never break up with him myself.

Once again, divine intervention stepped in because I would’ve settled for a life that wasn’t mine. We were moving through life on entirely different frequencies, trying to meet in a space that no longer existed. There was an unseen force that pushed him away. The rejection was a redirection, pulling me inwards. Though my whole heart is still open, I stopped looking for a man to complete me.

We had a soul contract to complete. A deal we agreed upon before reincarnating onto Earth School. Our souls had chosen to carry out specific roles in each other’s lives to help us learn deep karmic lessons.

The breakup was a catalyst for my spiritual awakening, and it shifted my timeline.

I’m so thankful for all the relationships I’ve had, both good and bad, as they all contributed to my awakening process. I kept repeating the same pattern with different jobs and different men until I finally gained the wisdom to repair my divine masculine AND feminine code.

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
- Albert Einstein

After upgrading my ‘OS’, I became centered and balanced. From there, better decisions and habits began to occur effortlessly. My body, mind, and soul are now healed, and my life force energy is flowing, with my cup runneth over.

In this lifetime, I know I freed myself from samsara, the Sanskrit word for the endless cycle of mundane existence, where the soul drifts aimlessly in the material realm, bound to the wheel of birth and rebirth.

My light finally returned after a very long period of darkness…

Clearing my soul’s path to nirvana.

☯

So in reflection, if you wake up every morning, still feeling drained and dreading the work day ahead, ask yourself this:

Where do you need to find balance in your life, and how are you spending your energy?

Are you truly following your own unique path or copying someone else's blueprint of what success should look like and how to achieve it?

Can you see yourself doing the same thing for the rest of your life?

Who are you giving your power away to?

What are your deepest fears, and do you let them consume you?

The 9-5 Grind, Burnout, Redirection, and the Courage to Live Authentically

Most of us were taught that a 9-to-5 job meant security, stability, and success. It took me over a decade of climbing the corporate ladder to realize that sense of security was far more fragile than I had been led to believe.

I followed the path laid out by my parents, my teachers, and society. I attended university and earned a Certificate in Business Management and a Public Relations Diploma.

After finishing the PR program, I had a choice: continue my education for another two years to finish my degree in communications and take on more debt, or step into the workforce and start learning through real-world experience.

I chose experience.

During my studies, I saw an interesting opportunity on the school’s job board for testing video games. They didn’t say for which company. I applied anyway for fun and then forgot about it.

Later on, I got an email from a recruiter. They needed Quality Assurance Testers ASAP, so I bypassed the job interview process, signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), and started working straight away.

That’s how I ended up working on FIFA 14 and FIFA 15 at Electronic Arts (EA Sports) during my summer breaks.

I had no experience in gaming and I barely understood soccer or football… whatever you call it. I was only making $10/hr and worked a lot of overtime. I had 12-hour days plus weekends on top of that. But it didn’t matter. It was one of the most fun jobs I ever had! My name ended up in the video game credits because I logged in so many hours.

I met a ton of brilliant, passionate people who loved what they did. I even ran into some professional athletes while they toured the campus when they were there to do motion capture work at the studio. It was a really cool experience working there.

After graduating in 2015, I accepted a role as a Graphic Designer in the tourism and hospitality industry. Two years later, I was promoted to Marketing & Media Specialist.

On paper, it looked like progress. In reality, it was my first true encounter with the more complex and challenging dynamics of corporate life.

I learned quickly to stay small and quiet, afraid that not being liked could cost me my job. I tolerated behaviour I would never accept today and became complacent in order to survive.

At last, it became apparent that the environment itself wasn’t aligned with who I was becoming.

So I made the decision to leave.

I later stepped into a marketing role at a small quiet office, where I spent the next few years building experience and finding stability.

Then the pandemic hit… and they terminated me but kept the other marketing assistant who started at the company a year after I did.

At first, I was devastated. But in hindsight, it was divine intervention.

Sometimes what feels like rejection is actually redirection.

My path then led me to a much larger company, where I gained a wealth of knowledge in business and had the privilege to work alongside a high-performing team within the organization.

As my role evolved, I took on more and more responsibilities, and I found myself being pulled in multiple directions.

At one point, I joined the office “Culture Council,” a volunteer group responsible for planning events and improving workplace morale. It wasn’t part of my job description, and there was no extra pay, but I genuinely wanted to contribute and help create a more vibrant environment.

Over the course of my four years there, a great deal changed. The rules and policies became more rigid. Then I began noticing myself and many people around me losing their spark.

When return-to-office (RTO) mandates intensified, the company began closely monitoring work laptops to track office attendance. While I understood the operational reasoning, something shifted in me, and it changed how I felt about the environment.

I began to feel less like a trusted professional and more like someone being measured by presence rather than contribution.

I started feeling suffocated. I was having heart palpitations, and my nervous system felt constantly fried from the pressure to always be perfect and productive.

Within the last year, I saw many talented, loyal employees eventually move on, and it made me reflect on how difficult retention can be in high-pressure environments.

Eventually, after 13 years of relentless hustling and grinding in the corporate world… PLUS the many years of working thankless minimum wage customer service jobs that came before…

I finally ran outta juice. My life force energy was depleted, and I had lost a significant amount of weight. I was feeling empty and living without any real purpose. I was only working for a paycheck.

Consequently, I became so detached from work and started behaving recklessly.

I knew I was cooked, and so I hit the self-destruct button. 👉🏻🖲💥

I turned off my phone, went back to sleep, and stopped showing up.

I began grieving the life I had once built and the old version of myself who had endured it for so long.

My office eventually called my dad, who was my emergency contact, to make sure I was okay.

Around that time, I had also been emotionally withdrawn from my family because I was overwhelmed by expectations and the pressure I put on myself to be everything for everyone.

My dad drove to my apartment to check on me. I knew it worried him. I knew it worried a lot of people. And I’m sorry for that.

But the truth is, I had reached a breaking point where I couldn’t carry the weight anymore.

Shortly after, HR reached out to me through my personal email with a formal message and a request to respond by a certain deadline. I wasn’t ready to explain something I didn’t yet know how to articulate.

So I stayed silent.

And that chapter of my life finally came to a close.

The hardest part was that I genuinely liked my coworkers and bosses. They are good people, hardworking, and supportive. It would’ve been simpler to leave if I hated everyone. But I didn’t. I truly enjoyed the camaraderie.

I wasn’t running away from them. I was choosing to stop abandoning myself.

So I’m sharing my story now… not from a place of resentment, but from a place of clarity.

After more than a decade in the corporate world, I experienced both its opportunities and its limitations.

And ultimately, I realized I needed to find a different way to live and work… on my own terms.

I believed that having a traditional career, finding a suitable partner, starting a family, and buying a house would lead me to “Happily Ever After.” I kept chasing that version of the dream.

But as time passed, I began to notice friends and family who had followed that path had huge financial and emotional stress… tied to long mortgages, demanding jobs, and many responsibilities they couldn’t easily step away from.

That realization unsettled me. I knew, deep down, that I didn’t want to build a life that felt like a trap. So I had to jump off that linear timeline…

Amid all of this, I became a mother at only 19 and raised my son as a single parent. To say it was difficult would be an understatement. I rarely shared that part of my life at work, as I’ve always preferred to keep certain things private. He’s now in university, majoring in sociology and living on campus… something I’m incredibly proud of.

We have free will to create our own path and our own reality.

I trust that I don’t need to have everything all figured out before I start over in life.

As the world is rapidly changing and evolving, I’m learning everything as I go. I’m taking aligned actions, surrendering to the process, allowing opportunities, and new connections to naturally unfold.

At the age of 41, I’m finally living my true, authentic self with ease and flow.

Now I’m the most joyful I’ve ever been and feel freedom for the first time in my life.

The Universe is a mirror. It will reflect what you visualize and embody.

As above, so below. As within, so without.

I’m deeply grateful and blessed for all the trials and tribulations I’ve gone through and for the strength to transmute them into who I am today…

At peace.
