Program Details:

There are two ways to access base yields and PLUME incentives via Royco: The Royco Vault and Royco Markets.

The Royco Vault, powered by VEDA, allows LPs to one click into the best risk-adjusted stablecoin yields on Plume. Simply deposit USDC on Ethereum Mainnet, and the vault curator will bridge your assets and allocate to the best Plume markets on Royco. There is a rebalancing period upon deposit and withdrawal. 

Royco Markets allow the user to pick and choose their own allocation strategy if they prefer a more active approach. There are 20+ markets to start with with different input assets like pUSD, Nest Assets, PLUME, WETH, and more. APYs range from 10-50% based on risk. Users can deposit from any asset and from any chain by using Enso’s Zaps, powered by Stargate, on the Royco UI.

All markets have a 90 day soft lock in which the user will only earn their incentives if they stay the entire 90 day period. If they would like to exit early, they must forfeit their incentives.

Markets are incentivized with varying amounts of $PLUME, which is liquid and tradable onchain and on most CEXes. These incentives yields are non-dilutive and have fixed PLUME incentives per $ deposited.

What is Sonic?

Sonic is a high-performance EVM, L1 blockchain that is booming in growth due to its sub-second latency, grassroots ecosystem, and innovative incentives.

Users of Sonic Markets on Royco are eligible to receive 3 types of Sonic-sponsored incentives:

1. App Gems: Sonic “Gems” are off-chain incentives redeemable for $S. Each app will distribute a fixed number of Gems to users.

2. Royco Bonus Gems: Bonus Gems will be distributed exclusively to Royco users.

3. Sonic Activity Points: “Activity Points” are points awarded for using Sonic apps. These can later be redeemed for more $S. 

Sonic users will be eligible for all of these during Sonic Season 1. At the end of Season 1 (June 2025), users will be able to claim their $S incentives based on their Gems and Points balances. Estimating Sonic Airdrop: Royco makes all of this simple. All you need to do is select “Estimate Sonic Airdrop” the % of the total 190,500,000 $S airdrop that you believe will go to Sonic Season 1.

So if you believe 40% will go to Season 1, you can input this amount.

The Problem:

Before Royco, participating in a new chain launch was hard. Retail LPs would rush into the new chain and farm a seemingly endless points program that would inevitably disappoint them. The chain, the applications, and most importantly, the users weren’t happy.

Then, Royco launched the CCDM and changed everything.

The Cross-Chain Deposit Module (CCDM) is a Royco-built system that enables protocols to incentivize users to commit assets on a source chain towards agreed-upon actions (supplying, LPing, swapping, etc.) on a destination chain.  As a user, you’ll know exactly what you’re being rewarded for depositing on a source chain.

Berachain, an EVM-identical L1, is the first to use Royco’s CCDM through their implementation called Boyco. Developed in collaboration with Royco, Enso Finance, and LayerZero, Boyco has already attracted over $2.2 billion in pre-deposits.

• Royco enables Berachain to incentivize liquidity and enables users to deposit and negotiate for more incentives onchain. 

• Enso scripts automate the execution of liquidity deposits, simplifying Royco recipe markets into a single transaction 

• LayerZero and Stargate are safely bridging the liquidity in Royco markets from Ethereum mainnet to the destination chain, Berachain. 

During Boyco, users will see over 100 Berachain markets that allow them to deposit a single sided deposit or a two sided deposit. The single sided deposits will go into applications like a money market pool, and two sided deposits (stable and volatile pairs) will go into concentrated liquidity positions.

The program will run for a few days on Ethereum mainnet before the liquidity is bridged over to Berachain and the lockups are enforced there. We’re excited to see the program go live and to usher in a new era of bootstrapping blockchain ecosystems.

Markets for onchain actions are huge, they account for billions of dollars of annual spending and many multiples more in economic activity. Some examples include Ethereum distributing ~$4B+ in assets (ETH) to incentivize a single action: staking. $100B+ of ETH has now been staked. Or EigenLayer’s intent to distribute 15% of the network’s token assets to incentivize deposits. As a result, $20B of ETH has been deposited. Or Compound distributing $COMP token assets to incentivize lending and borrowing, resulting in 11,000% growth and $11B TVL within a year.

But these markets are wildly inefficient. 

• No price discovery. In current mechanisms like liquidity mining or airdrops, Incentive Providers don’t know how much to spend on incentives and cannot measure or capture latent demand. Users have no tools to negotiate for more incentives.

• Fragmented markets. Every new protocol must bootstrap an isolated network of market participants, which is a lot of work. Users must stay on top of various channels to benefit from new incentives and markets.

• Inefficiencies benefit a select few. With constrained price discovery and participation, incentives have shifted to offchain agreements controlled by a handful of whales and institutions. This diminishes the potential of permissionless crypto markets. 

Royco was built to solve this.

Royco Protocol allows anyone to create a market around any onchain transaction (or series of transactions). Using Royco:

• Incentive Providers (IP) may create intents to offer users incentives to perform the transaction(s).

• Users may then create intents to complete the transaction(s) and/or negotiate for more incentives.

When these intents satisfy each other, the user’s transaction is atomically executed, and the IP distributes the negotiated incentives. Royco Protocol is entirely non-custodial, permissionless, and immutable. It is also capital-efficient, allowing participants to create many intents with the same assets. IAMs can be used to find efficient pricing for any onchain action.

The E2E flow of an IAM:

1. Create Market

First, the Market Creator specifies the onchain action the IAM will incentivize. There are two types of actions in Royco: a (1) 4626 Vault Action or a (2) Recipe Action. The 4626 Vault Action is designed to incentivize 4626 pools. The Recipe Action is much more versatile and allows for incentivizing any smart contract transaction(s) through the Royco Recipe Builder. 

IAMs are completely immutable once deployed.

2. Offer Incentives

Once a market is created, Incentive Providers may create intents to offer incentives to users to perform the transaction(s). Incentive Provider intents can specify how much of the Action will be incentivized (i.e., “reward 200 $ABC for 5 ETH of deposits”). Incentive Providers can be anyone and offer tokens or points in lump-sum form or pro-rated among all participants.

3. Negotiate Incentives

Users may then create intents to complete the transaction(s) and/or negotiate for more incentives for performing different amounts of the Action(s) (e.g., “deposit 10 ETH for 500 $ABC rewards"). Users may create many of these intents utilizing the same capital base. Incentive Providers may choose to provide the incentives requested by users or counter with another Intent. 

4. Complete Actions

When an Incentive Provider's intent satisfies a user's intent, then the transaction is atomically executed, and the Incentive Provider trustlessly distributes the negotiated incentives. 

• Efficient Incentive Spending: As an Incentive Provider, you may use Royco to price incentives, capture latent demand, and benefit from the Protocol’s composability and network.

• Negotiate for More Incentives: As a user, you may use Royco to negotiate for more incentives in a capital-efficient way and reallocate to earn incentives.

• Incentives for all: Royco intends to bring transparency and broader participation to Action Markets, which were previously accessible only to whales and institutions.

The Protocol is also a platform for creating novel products (here’s a sneak peek of one, Dahlia) that natively use an IAM to power their liquidity and infrastructure. Additionally, we invite wallets and interfaces to surface IAMs to their users.

It's time to build.
