nextheight="699" nextwidth="500" class="image-node embed">
feeling safe here

i started playing games pretty early, i didnt have an access to the Internet from the start though. my first online game back then was minecraft.

after i played it solo a bit, i started wandering by some random servers trying to find something interesting. i remember being there lost as a kitten in the jungle because i didnt know what to do there, there were rules, many zones were privatized (you werent able to break blocks or build something in these) until the one moment when one of the strangers started talking to me and then we became friends.

ive spent 1 or 2 years playing minecraft, always exploring new things, pvping with others, dupping items (these were crazy times when we discovered a bug where you was able to duplicate items like diamonds infinite times). before that i was looking on houses made entirely from diamond blocks like what?? how to mine so many diamonds (since everyone already mined all ore near the spawn point). then we also started to build such houses and we were having so much fun especially when there were funny events hosted by admins or times when i was playing alone after my friend left because he went to sleep.

i find minecraft incredibly soothing and i had so much fun there. the entire culture over it, ability to play single player in the open world, connections with people in multiplayer, freedom (!) of doing whatever you want -> things were crazy. i think one of the keys to make some place really chill is the freedom of actions (of course considering moral principles)

i think the reason why so many people find minecraft nostalgic is that this was the escape place, the safe haven and at the same time a crazy place to do crazy things (worthless to mention computer stuff people were doing with redstone and pistons). limitlessness and serenity

samp (san andreas multiplayer)

gta san andreas

samp is also on my top tier list of nostalgia moments. whole gta series is very nostalgic, remind people of childhood too. we tied to memories of the childhood where everything was colorful and aimless (!)

even if the childhood wasnt as bright as it could be, still people were able to escape the reality in games. gta series was the second place where you can do anything limitlessly. go ride a car, beat some dude, kjkszpj to get some guns and you are good. just riding the San Andreas was a complete joy (still a joy). sometimes i had a mood to install mods (!) to enhance the single player experience and the whole gameplay was emerging into something completely new

i quickly discovered that there is a samp multiplayer client where you can play multiplayer gta sa on servers just as like as it was in minecraft. i remember a lot of cool memories from here. the main flow was like: you spawn as a homeless man and you need to get a passport in the local town hall. usually you jus take a bicycle and ride to the town hall, get a passport and then you need to find a job to earn some in-game currency (!). there was a lot of jobs like dig a mine, ride a bus, become a taxi driver etc. and of course there was a progress system based on player levels (more level -> more jobs, more opportunities). i was obsessed with bus driving and i was driving a bus for a few hours straight earning some money to buy a car or to go to casino to gamble it lol. the thing is that i love randomness in games. in four dragons casino there were blackjack, dice & roulette games (usually this list). we were also able to play dice on the street by typing
/dice
command. there was some text output in chat indicating who won and just counting numbers on your display. people were even building bots to automate these things (to spam commands for fast rolls)

aesthetics of these two games is unmatchable. the game experience is soothing, not irritating. its like the game is always waiting for you. anytime. i remember a lot of times when i was alone on servers in these games -> nevertheless the whole experience was soothing, and sometimes even uncanny. there is something beautiful in the freedom. something beautiful in being lonely for a moment. fishing in the nighttime, staying alone and contemplating about the already past presence of your friends

Crypto today runs on zero-sum thinking.
If someone wins, someone else must lose.
If a token pumps, someone exits, someone bags.

This isn't just market behavior — it's a mindset. And it's everywhere.

Every new token launch gets framed as a speculation opportunity.
No one asks what something is — only when they can flip it.
Liquidity is finite. Attention is finite. Tokens? Infinite.
So what do we get? A warzone. Everyone chasing the same scraps.

The Base Token Case

When Base posted a token drop via Zora with zero context, it triggered classic reflexes:

“It’s early.”

“It must mean something.”

“Buy now or regret later.”

People aped in. Some lost money. Some got out fast. Then came the backlash.

Then came the comparisons — “Base is Solana 2.0,” “rug here, rug there, rug everywhere.”
But the real issue isn’t there. It’s that people still have no airbags.
No filters. No mental safety nets. They see a token and they ape. No DYOR.
Could be a honeypot. Could be snipers. Doesn’t matter — they click buy.
Then they become the exit liquidity… and blame someone else. Bro, you clicked buy.

Money makes people sensitive. Reflection is rare. Complaining is easy.

The cycle repeats:

New idea → gets ignored → a few build on it → awareness → speculation → obsession → crash → silence

And then the next meta rises on the ashes.

Token Overload = Value Collapse

When everything becomes a token, nothing feels valuable.
We’re not building economies — we’re playing musical chairs with liquidity.
New tokens don’t create value — they fragment trust and focus.

The tools aren’t the problem. The mindset is.
People expect profit, not purpose.
They want 100x, not compounding value.
Crypto isn’t seen as programmable coordination — it’s seen as a casino with prettier charts.

And even if you try to build a compounding system, someone will try to exploit it.
Someone will always try to be first. To extract, not contribute.
It’s not “how can we build together?” — it’s “how do I win solo?”

That’s the root bug.

From PvP to PvE

If crypto wants to grow up, it needs to stop cannibalizing itself.
We need to build compounding systems — ecosystems where:

Value grows with use

Participation pays off over time

Contributions multiply, not compete

Quality and attention = trust

Reputation = capital

PvE > PvP.
Not “me vs. everyone else” — but “me + the protocol + the people building with me.”

Real PvE Examples

Systems doing this now:

Gitcoin Grants

Quadratic matching = the more people support a project, the bigger the rewards.
It's not about whales. It’s about alignment.
You don’t flip. You fund public goods.

Nouns DAO

One NFT per day. Funds go to a shared treasury for cultural initiatives.
You’re not buying an exit — you’re buying a seat at the table.
It’s weird, slow, and beautiful when it works.

Farcaster + Mini Apps

Just builders shipping Mini Apps inside the social graph.
Anything can become a mini product.
You build → others remix → the system compounds naturally.

Farcaster feels like a PvE protocol — a company you can build inside.

What Is Actually Needed

Help people get seen.

Help people get amplified.

Help good ideas spread.
Without that → no compounding. Just noise.

Let people stake, burn, govern — tokens should reflect belief, not just tokenomics with “80% team.”
Tokens should be tools for contribution, not chips in a slot machine.

Money isn’t a contribution. It’s an expectation.
And expectations don’t build systems — participation does.

So what if we stopped asking “can I flip this” and started asking “what can we build if we stay longer?”

Final Note

Programmable value is real. The tech already works.
What’s broken is the framing — the casino mindset.
We don’t need more speculation. We need systems where staying is the win condition.

Compounding systems aren’t born out of hype. They emerge from belief.
And belief only happens when people are actually contributing.

That’s what PvE is about.
That’s what crypto could be — if we stopped trying to exit before it gets good.

P.S. Content coins are a good concept.
You can become an opinion/vision investor and prove your point of view by writing it into the stone of the blockchain.
You can build a reputation by investing in ideas.
You can amplify the visibility of someone else through your contribution.
The main character here isn’t necessarily money — it’s blockchain and smart contracts.
Every action is recorded forever.
Build social graphs not on shady backend code, but through smart contracts, based on what content people actually bought.
No Big Data — just financial synchronization.

Sounds interesting, right?

I have no idea how to blend this into the current paradigm.
But it definitely has potential.
