Regarding the ship HMS Atlanta that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle in 1880, one explanation given is that the crew was inexperienced. It is quite possible that their lack of experience caused them to get lost and fall victim to a sea storm. However, you may recall that 40 years later, a large American ship, the USS Cyclops, also disappeared in Bermuda, and its crew could not have been inexperienced because it was a very large merchant ship. Furthermore, just 3 years after the Cyclops, another unfortunate ship was found drifting in Bermuda's waters, with its entire crew mysteriously missing. There were no signs of a storm affecting this ship, nor had it suffered any natural disasters. On the contrary, everything on the ship remained intact except for its crew, whose whereabouts were unknown. Similarly, in 1955, a pleasure boat, used for parties and family events, was found drifting near Bermuda, empty of its crew. This boat had weathered three storms, including the infamous Hurricane Lone, which is an important point I will discuss further.

Regarding the issue of inexperience, Flight Leader Charles Carroll Taylor of the five planes that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle had 2,500 hours of flight experience. Therefore, the argument of inexperience is easily refuted. These people were not inexperienced or amateurs; they were skilled pilots. However, in the face of nature’s might, even many experienced individuals can become helpless. Natural disasters can overwhelm even those with thousands of hours of experience. Therefore, could natural disasters be the reason for these disappearances? It is quite possible. I want to tell you about three different natural phenomena related to these mysterious places.

The first phenomenon is the Gulf Stream, found in the oceans. The Gulf Stream acts like a river flowing through the ocean waters. This may sound surprising, but often, water in the ocean starts flowing like a river, and sometimes this river becomes so powerful that anything floating in its path is swept away. This could include a large ship like the Cyclops. Since the Gulf Stream flows with full force for hundreds of miles, it is very possible that it carried these ships away, destroyed them along the way, and their debris was buried in the ocean floor far from where they disappeared. Could the Gulf Stream be responsible for these disappearances? It is quite possible, but the Gulf Stream’s destruction does not answer all questions. For example, while it may affect ships, what about airplanes? The Gulf Stream is in the oceans, whereas airplanes fly in the air.

The second natural phenomenon I want to discuss is sea storms. Sea storms can affect both ships and airplanes. It is easy to get lost or disoriented in a sea storm. However, it should be noted that we are not talking about centuries ago, when forecasting equipment was nonexistent. These disappearances happened only 50 to 60 years ago, a time when weather forecasting systems were in place. These systems could inform ships about the weather ahead and whether they should continue their route. However, some disappearances occurred when no storms were present. For instance, Flight 19 disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle while the sun was shining brightly. Similarly, when the Japanese aircraft Six Zero disappeared, there was no storm or bad weather. Even if we assume that storm warning systems failed, search and rescue aircraft, designed to handle all types of weather, also went missing. So, moving beyond sea storms, the third natural phenomenon I want to discuss is something less commonly known: air bombs.

An air bomb is a sudden, devastating phenomenon that occurs from the sky. We recently discovered this when an American aircraft was hit by an air bomb over Baltimore in 1966. During its flight, the air bomb struck when the wind suddenly increased from a normal speed of 32 km/h to 45 km/h, making the wind five times stronger and crashing down from the sky. Later, in 2003, a Brazilian aircraft Concordia reported similar winds at 270 km/h, striking the ocean like a bomb. This phenomenon, known as an air bomb, involves a sudden and extremely cold air descending from the sky, rapidly hitting the surface and spreading out. Anything in its path, whether an aircraft or a ship, can be torn apart. Could these disappearances be due to air bombs? It is possible, but even with this explanation, many questions remain unanswered. For example, why were there no traces of the destroyed ships or aircraft, and why were the crews missing? Everything else on the ships and boats was intact, but the crews were nowhere to be found.

I have now discussed three natural phenomena that are mainly found in oceans, which could be responsible for disappearances in Bermuda or Japan. But what about disappearances in the Alaska Triangle? There are no sea storms there because the Alaska Triangle is on land.

Yes, air bombs could occur, but can poor weather and air bombs account for the 16,000 disappearances there? This seems unlikely. The Alaska Triangle may be explained by its own geology. Alaska is one of the most unexplored areas in the world, with dense forests, over 700 large glaciers with building-sized cracks, and hundreds of meters deep dark caves where people can disappear without a trace. People do go missing in such rugged and unexplored areas, but the number of missing people in Alaska is twice the average for other states. And remember, the people who go into these mountains and glaciers are not novices; many undergo formal training before venturing into these areas. For instance, Gerald J. Bray, whom I mentioned before, was a search and rescue team member with survival training in dense forests and snowy peaks. Despite discussing all this, it seems we are still far from finding answers. The explanations we have do not satisfy fully, and they lead to more questions. As the American poet James Jones said after the discovery of America, "New world, no longer new." But perhaps we are very mistaken.

How much do we really know about our world? I have provided explanations ranging from human error to bad weather and sudden disasters. But I must say that you may not be fully satisfied with these explanations, and I am not either. Many doubts and ambiguities remain, which is why I decided to go beyond these conventional explanations and delve further into these mysteries.

Believe me, the truly mind-boggling events start from this point on.

Today marks the beginning of a new series, and the name of this series is “The Doors of Wonder: Mysteries and Myths.”

Since childhood, we have all heard many famous stories, such as those about the Bermuda Triangle, where ships and airplanes disappear without a trace. For children of the 1990s, the Bermuda Triangle might have been the most mysterious place in the world. We used to think about the existence of jinns, or the Dajjal, because there was always some show about the mystery of Bermuda. Documentaries about Bermuda are still available on channels like National Geographic and Discovery Channel. They all talk about this mysterious area where everything goes missing.

Over time, the Bermuda Triangle has become a place associated with supernatural and mysterious phenomena where no one ever returns. But what is the explanation for all these disappearances? Perhaps no one has definitively answered this question. Still, the concept of Bermuda remains ingrained in our minds. However, as time passed, questions began to arise about the credibility of Bermuda’s entire potential, and there were some significant reasons for these doubts.

After the year 2000, a new era began. A new millennium, the use of the internet became commonplace worldwide, and information from one country reaching another within moments became the daily norm. In this age of the internet, many people have started sharing their daily lives through videos. The internet world knows these people as vloggers. Some people create vlogs about their daily lives, while others teach cooking. But among these vloggers, some have adventurous natures and have started exploring mysterious places. These adventurers film their experiences in haunted houses and share their videos with the world. Some camp in forests and mountains and film their interesting experiences.

But among these adventurous people, a few wanted to take their adventures to the extreme. They wanted to go beyond ordinary haunted houses and camping in forests or mountains. So they gathered their wealth and resources and set out for perhaps the most enigmatic place in today’s world: the Bermuda Triangle, where they arrived with their video cameras and equipment.

They film videos of themselves wandering in and around Bermuda and claim that there’s nothing special there. They assert that the Bermuda Triangle is just a fraud, a hoax, and only simple-minded people believe in these rumors. With the abundance of these videos, a large number of people started believing that Bermuda might indeed be just a myth or legend. It seemed like a place that had been given more credit than it deserved.

Then, to add to the damage to Bermuda’s mysterious concept, there was another factor: flight data available on the internet. In recent years, many flight routes of airplanes that had disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle and its surrounding areas have been made public. If you look at a flight map of the area, you’ll still see numerous flights passing through this region as usual. After seeing these pictures and videos, it seems that Bermuda’s legend might really be just a legend, nothing more than a myth. But there remains a question: if Bermuda is indeed just a myth, what could be the explanation for the disappearances that have occurred there?

I am sure that those who have previously heard about the Bermuda Triangle are somewhat familiar with it. But before I take you deeper into Bermuda, let me briefly introduce it so that those who are not familiar with it or who have only heard about it casually can join us on this journey.

The Bermuda Triangle is an area between the states of Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Bermuda Islands, forming a triangular shape. It is mostly covered by water, specifically in the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Since this entire area is located in the sea, it is not easy to determine its boundaries. The size of the Bermuda Triangle is reported differently by various sources, ranging from 1,300,000 square kilometers to 4,000,000 square kilometers. Within this area, 50 ships and 20 aircraft have disappeared.

The world’s attention was first drawn to this region in the 1950s when an American newspaper, the Miami Herald, published a news report about it. Two years later, a magazine published an article by George Xent on Bermuda Triangle titled “Strange and Backdoor,” which began to popularize Bermuda Triangle as a mysterious place around the world. Over time, more articles were written on the Bermuda Triangle.

For example, the American Legion magazine published an article on the missing ships of Bermuda Triangle. Another article was published in the magazine on these missing ships. Eventually, a book named “The Lost Horizons” was written about these disappearances, and it was not the only one of its kind. Several books have been written on Bermuda Triangle, such as “Limbo of the Lost,” “Bermuda Triangle,” and “The Devil’s Triangle,” and I’ve only mentioned English articles and books. Bermuda Triangle is a topic that has books written in almost every language in the world. For instance, in Arabic, there is Abdul Rahman Bakar’s book “Haqaiq Min Al-Khayal,” and in Urdu, there are several books such as “Jazeera Bermuda” and “Misal Bermuda.”

Here is a question for you: After countless books written in the languages of the six continents, is it sufficient for an internet blogger to say that all of this is false and fraudulent? This would be a great injustice to the hundreds of people who have gone missing in that area. It would be a grave injustice to dismiss the deaths of these dozens of individuals as mere lies or frauds. It would not only be an injustice to the deceased but also a form of avoiding the search for truth because, from the mid-19th century to now, the Bermuda Triangle has seen the disappearance of 50 ships and 20 aircraft.

Some of these missing ships were later found, but their entire crew was missing. What is also surprising is that before disappearing, most of these ships had never sent out a distress signal, which is a signal sent to the control tower when a ship is in trouble. Most of these ships never sent a distress signal, yet they disappeared from existence as if they had never been there.

I am sure you have heard about some major disappearances, but along with this introduction, I will also briefly tell you about these disappearances so you can grasp the sensitivity and depth of this issue.

One of the major disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle is the case of the British ship HMS Atlanta, which vanished in 1880 with its entire crew, and nothing was ever found about its whereabouts. Another major name is the American ship USS Cyclops, which is considered the second-largest maritime disaster in American history. This ship also disappeared in 1918 with all 309 passengers on board, and no trace was ever found. The following year, in 1919, a somewhat different incident occurred. An American ship was found drifting in the sea near the Triangle with its entire crew missing, and no one knew what happened to them.

Perhaps the most famous incident is Flight 19, where five aircraft disappeared as a group while passing through the Bermuda Triangle. An unusual thing happened in the case of Flight 19: a rescue plane sent to search for these aircraft also disappeared with its entire crew, which is significant because rescue planes are equipped to handle all kinds of weather and conditions. The disappearance of a well-equipped plane like this seems almost inexplicable.

In the infamous waters, two planes, named Star and Douglas, disappeared in 1948 and 1949 with at least 50 people onboard, without leaving any trace, as if they had vanished into thin air. There was no sign of these planes at all.

There is one incident, relatively lesser known, involving a small boat rather than a big ship. In 1955, a pleasure boat found drifting near Bermuda was empty, meaning it was a type of boat used for parties and family events on the sea, but this boat was found drifting like a ghost without any trace of its occupants. The boat had weathered three storms, which is an important point I will discuss further.

If the Bermuda Triangle is merely an illusion, then what could be the cause of these incidents?
In this series, I will present all the possible reasons that should first come to mind. But before I discuss all possible reasons and explanations for these disappearances and mysteries, I want to tell you about two other places that are as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle. One of these places you might have heard of, but you may not be familiar with the other.

The first place is the Devil’s Triangle, also known as the Dragon Triangle or Formosa Triangle, located in the waters south of Japan.

In 1945, a Japanese aircraft, the Six Zero, disappeared with its entire crew, and this was during World War II, a time when accidents were not unusual. The disappearance of this aircraft was significant because it occurred when major countries were trying to end the war and no country wanted to reignite it. The disappearance of this aircraft raised many questions and prompted a thorough investigation, revealing some important findings that I will discuss later.

About ten years after this incident, in 1955, another Japanese naval vessel, the Kaiomaru №5, was dispatched to locate its lost ships and disprove the New York Times’ claims about this area. This ship, equipped with all kinds of technologies to handle any weather or disaster, also disappeared without a trace, leading the Japanese government to declare the area a danger zone.

But after the Bermuda and Japan Triangles, there is another place, the Alaska Triangle, that very few people might know about. It is a vast area covered with dense forests, extreme cold, and snowfall, which can be as high as ten meters. In the Alaska Triangle, large numbers of people have gone missing over the years, and their stories are often reported in the media. Most of these disappearances are unexplained. I will also cover some of these mysterious disappearances.

In this series, I will not only take you on a journey to explore these mysterious places but will also discuss their possible causes. I hope to cover all the major theories and concepts related to these places.

Thank you for listening. Wait for the Next Episode.

This incident happened in such a way. When I passed out of my studies in 2017, I got a job. At that time, I understood that after completing my internship, which usually leads to a job, I got employed. My job at that time had a six-month probationary period.

So, where was this job?

It was on the premises of a podcast company. Now, I won’t reveal the name of the company, but I was terminated after six months. There was a scenario where, if you become permanent, you would get the benefits.

I started doing night shifts. One day, while I was working the night shift and also doing podcasts, I had to return home at night. Our night shifts started at 8 PM and if it was a twelve-hour shift, we would get off at 8 a.m. But one day, I had some work to do in the morning and had to come back early. So, I had to come back around 2 or 2:30 AM, and I couldn’t get off from my work.

port qasim

So, I went to my convener, completed my work, sent emails, and then left the podcast premises around 1:30–2 AM. While returning, my bike broke down within the premises. I didn’t understand what went wrong with it. It was January, probably the beginning of January. I tried kick-starting the bike again and checking the plugs, but nothing happened.

I started pushing the bike towards the main road. If you remember, when you return from the podcast premises towards the highway, you encounter a railway crossing. They have installed gates there now for separation.

When I reached there, I stopped my bike, took out a bottle of water from my bag, and started drinking. I thought about asking for help from the railway staff in the nearby small rooms. When I went inside, it was dark, and nobody was there. I got worried and tired, and I had an important task to do.

I tried starting my bike again, but it didn’t start. I began pushing it again. On the left-hand side, there were some factories, and on the right side, there were bushes. I got tired and put my bike on the side stand. I looked around but couldn’t see anything.

While walking parallel to the road, I noticed a small child in the bushes. His height was around three feet. But the child’s head was large—almost three times the size of a normal head—and shaped like an egg. I wondered how this was possible. I tried to compose myself and checked if I was dreaming.

I went closer to see, and it was a child with an unusually large head. I tried starting my bike again but failed. I started dragging it, and then I saw four children on the left side of the footpath where the bushes ended. I was scared, left my bike there, and started running.

Eventually, I found a place where a man was lying on the ground. I asked him for help, explaining that I saw such strange things. He told me that such things happen on these roads at night, and I wasn’t the only one. He suggested I stay at a nearby small mosque for the rest of the night.

I stayed there until dawn, and when people started coming for Fajr prayer, they directed me to a mechanic’s shop that opened around 6:30–7 AM. I went there, and when the mechanic tried starting my bike, it started right away.

When I explained what I saw, he told me that a similar incident happened to another man two weeks earlier. They also saw strange children at night. I don’t know what those creatures were, but now, after more than 45 years of working, whenever we pass by that area, even around 8–10 PM, we feel that some strange creatures are present there. And if anyone listening has a route through that area, they might agree with me that there are strange activities and creatures around there.

John Tyndall was the first scientist to inform us that our Earth's atmosphere stores energy and radiates it to sustain life. In his experiment, which we have already discussed, he demonstrated that if you heat certain gases, they store energy. The most notable gas among these is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a gas that traps heat. So, if a room contains carbon dioxide and is heated somehow, the room will start warming up rapidly.

Our planet is enveloped by an atmospheric layer containing greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and ammonia. These gases store energy, trapping it in our atmosphere. If the concentrations of these gases increase, our world will gradually warm up. Historically, these gases existed in minimal amounts around our planet. However, with the advent of humans, we began producing carbon dioxide and methane. Without humans, the energy from the sun would mostly be reflected back into space.

We often discuss infrared radiation. Because our Earth now has gases that absorb infrared radiation, all incoming energy from the sun is also absorbed by the Earth. When it reflects, it gets trapped in our atmosphere, preventing it from reaching space. As a result, our atmosphere is gradually warming up.

Let me also tell you that if we compare the concentration of carbon dioxide, in 1750, there were only 300 parts per million (ppm). Today, carbon dioxide levels have exceeded 422 ppm. You can see how rapidly it has increased since 1750. And it's not just carbon dioxide; methane levels are also rising. However, according to the 2023 Greenhouse Index published by NASA, which you can still find on their website, the major greenhouse gas in our atmosphere is carbon dioxide. This gas is warming our planet's temperatures, followed by methane, nitrous oxide, and other greenhouse gases, including CFCs. These gases are causing gradual warming and changing climates.

What happened after 1750 that caused a rapid increase in these gases in our atmosphere? Historically, we find that the Industrial Revolution began around 1760. From then on, humans started burning coal, gas, and oil on a large scale to obtain energy. Burning these fuels releases carbon dioxide rapidly into the atmosphere.

If we examine the history of the Earth, we find research indicating there are approximately 8.7 million species on our planet. If we consider the carbon content in these species, the carbon in coal, gas, or oil we burn originates from the decomposition of plants and animals. There are 8.7 million species on Earth, and the carbon content in animals is about 2.58 megatons. The total carbon content on Earth is approximately 545 gigatons. This includes 2.58 gigatons in animals, 12 gigatons in fungi, 70 gigatons in bacteria, and 450 gigatons in plants.

When plants die and decompose, they produce carbon. So, carbon isn't only produced from animals and living things, but also from plants. When this carbon is released from our industries into the atmosphere, it reacts with oxygen to form carbon dioxide (CO2), which starts storing energy.

Now, let's talk about how much carbon dioxide is present in our atmosphere. I'll take you to an observatory in Hawaii, where we have conducted experiments to measure atmospheric carbon dioxide and other gases accurately. Here, you can see various sensors and telescopes collecting gases for analysis. Computers process this data to visualize it.

In 1950, David Keeling was the first scientist to measure deep atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. Initially, he aimed to determine how much was present and how it varied. He created a comprehensive system with sensors and instruments to collect and analyze carbon dioxide and other gases.

When he began, the readings were satisfactory, matching his expectations. However, after some time, a generator failure caused the system to shut down. After restoring power, the readings initially dropped but then started rising again. Keeling realized that this pattern was cyclical.

Our current graph of carbon dioxide represents our seasonal changes. When plants have more leaves, they absorb more carbon dioxide and produce more oxygen, decreasing atmospheric CO2 levels. Conversely, in autumn, when leaves fall, plants require less carbon dioxide, increasing atmospheric CO2 levels. Thus, carbon dioxide concentration varies cyclically, with plants playing a significant role.

To reduce carbon dioxide, we need to plant more trees. This can help lower carbon dioxide levels.

Are we close to discovering a new planet in our solar system? Scientists believe there might be 11 hypothetical planets in the outer solar system. Discovering a new planet could change our understanding of the solar system's evolution. Let's explore the efforts and technology being used to find this ninth planet and how our theories might change if we find it or not.

For nearly a decade, astronomers worldwide have searched for the ninth planet using advanced technology. In 2016, astronomers Konstantin Batygin and Michael Brown suggested the existence of this planet. They observed that many trans-Neptunian objects in the Kuiper Belt interact with each other's orbits, hinting at an unseen gravitational force.

Trans-Neptunian objects orbit the Sun beyond Neptune, mainly in the Kuiper Belt—a region 30 to 55 astronomical units away, filled with icy objects and dwarf planets like Pluto, Haumea, and Makemake.

The alignments of these objects suggest a hidden planet affecting their orbits. Scientists use modern space telescopes and advanced imaging technology to search for this planet. Pan-STARRS in Hawaii and the upcoming Vera C. Rubin Observatory are key tools in this search. Computer simulations show a planet ten times Earth's size, 100 astronomical units away, affecting these objects' orbits.

The search for new planets dates back to the 18th century. Newton's law of gravitation helped discover Uranus and Neptune. Today, the same laws guide our search, but with advanced technology like large telescopes and digital sensors.

Finding the ninth planet involves scanning the sky, monitoring objects, and observing anomalies. Its long, elliptical orbit makes it a challenging target. If not found, the anomalies might be caused by a cluster of small objects or a specific part of the Kuiper Belt. This could mean our understanding of gravity needs refining.

Whether or not the ninth planet exists, this research tests our technology and knowledge, challenging our theories and helping us better understand our solar system.

NASA really liked this idea and has provided funding to work on this project. The project is named FLOAT, which stands for FLoating Lunar Orbital Trail. NASA has funded six teams under its Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) program to bring their unique and futuristic ideas to life. Among these projects, FLOAT is particularly important due to its blend of science, fiction, and simplicity. Other projects include floating telescopes, plasma rockets, and quantum dot solar cells.

Currently, Ethan Schaler and his team are planning to design the first railway system on the moon using FLOAT. Ethan Schaler is a robotics engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Schaler aims to demonstrate how the FLOAT design can transport items on the moon as efficiently as conveyor belts do on Earth. He further states that they plan to build a sustainable railway system on the moon, which will help transport items easily from one place to another. This system is expected to be operational by 2030, facilitating daily transport of up to ten tons of goods. NASA and other space agencies are planning to establish permanent bases on the moon to allow astronauts to stay for longer periods.

The main reasons for establishing these bases include scientific research, technological advancement, and the extraction of resources from the moon’s surface. You might wonder what resources the moon has. The moon contains rare metals that are scarce on Earth, such as magnesium, aluminum, and titanium. These materials can be used in smartphones, computers, and advanced technology. Additionally, there is water in the form of ice on some parts of the moon.

Many countries want to build bases on the moon to facilitate missions to Mars. The moon is preferred over Earth for launching spacecraft to Mars due to its low gravity and lack of atmosphere. The lower gravity makes it easier and more fuel-efficient to launch spacecraft from the moon. Moreover, the absence of an atmosphere means there is no drag force on the spacecraft, making launches smoother.

After establishing permanent bases on the moon, we will need transportation to move essential items like water, hydrogen, and construction materials. While these items can be transported from Earth using rockets, it is more cost-effective to obtain them from the moon itself. Lunar vehicles can be used for this purpose, but automated systems like the FLOAT railway are more efficient.

The FLOAT railway🚝 will move at a speed of 1.6 kilometers per hour, allowing the transport of up to 110 tons of goods daily. Schaler and his team believe their idea will play a crucial role in solving transportation issues on the moon. Instead of regular railways, magnetic railways will be used, as they do not require power and can float over specific tracks. These tracks will have three layers: a top layer for magnetic levitation, a middle layer for controlling movement using electromagnetics, and a bottom layer with solar panel coatings for energy generation.

Since these trains will float rather than run on wheels, they will not be affected by lunar dust, unlike robots that use legs or wheels. The tracks will be simple to lay down, requiring no complex structures. The funding from the NIAC program will help complete the second phase of the project. The first phase involved presenting the concept, and the next two years will involve researching environmental challenges and building models to test on the moon.

These models will be placed in chambers where temperature and gravity will be adjusted to lunar conditions. The models will also be tested on uneven, dusty surfaces to ensure the system can handle real lunar conditions. The second phase will involve increasing the size of the magnetic robot trains from 10 square centimeters to 100 square centimeters.

Schaler states that while the new robots will be smaller than the current ones, they will be more efficient. They will also face new engineering challenges as they scale up. This project will undergo both physical and virtual testing using computer simulations to prepare for its implementation on the moon’s south pole, where NASA plans to land astronauts in the near future.

Although this project is still in its early stages, NASA has approved further work on it. The engineers involved are very excited about the potential of this technology to become a regular part of life on the moon. Schaler is hopeful that in the future, this technology will be used not only on the moon but also in space and on other planets.

As science and technology advance, things that were once considered science fiction are becoming reality. It is important to note that before anything can exist, it starts as an idea that is then developed into reality. Rapid technological advancements mean that ideas can quickly turn into tangible products.
