since the record of biggest collection is held by ENS at the time of writing. with 2.76 million item in collection.

I tried to break the record by minting 15.5 million Item with the ERC721FancyMint that I created. I set the Smart Contract. press deploy on Goerli testnet and wait to see what happens. market places started to resolving them on by on.

State of panic & Disappointments

Everything seems as planed so I decided to deploy on Ethereum.

deployment was fine, now it’s time to see the market places. I’ve noticed that Opensea wasn’t resolving the NFTs, and only resolving some of them at random.

I Jumped back to Etherscan to check on the contract.

I saw that tokens were fine. and emitting the token creation was fine.

so I thought it might be bug from OpenSea and a simple email to support might fix this

I told myself lets check other market places, I dove into LooksRare.

tokens were resolving one by one ,then I felt relieved. I get out to grab a beer with two of my friends. when I came back the tokens were stopped at 530 thousand. and I were 15 million more to go.

LooksRare - Fancy Project : Ethereum

It seemed I hit a bottle neck. marketplace didn’t want to resolve this many token.

I contacted them and Opensea didn’t respond at all to my Email, and looksrare just locked the collection without disclosing the artificial limits that they pose on collections.

I was disappointed. that I couldn’t officially break the record but I found a silver lining.

At least I broke marketplaces.

Rebooting the project

at the heart of fancy project was a render function that could render more than million unique Art work, that reflects my passions in life.

so I told myself it’s a shame that it goes to waste, I decided to modify the collection to 999 Item, and change the color of frame from charcoal to silver to avoid confusion.

change the name to Fancy Project : premeium and deployed it to mainnet.

starting a give away.

from today I start to give away this collection to people whom desire it.

At the same time, the best and worst thing about Ethereum is the once you do something, it cannot be undone. so I have to embrace the “Premeium”. hence the typo.

In Sep. 2022 I was working on a quest to make an ERC721 with minting function, to show case this I create a collection that reflect my internal passion “Mathematics”.

A teenager in high school and circles.

as I was in high school, I found mathematical subject more of burden, the education system made me terrified of math. but some how I always wanted to now what was this mystery all about. when I looked at a formula or shape even though I could not really knew how it was derived. I could feel the beauty. the feeling was like standing in front of an abstract painting, even though sometimes people do not understand the language of that art piece, they can feel it’s beauty. but somehow everything changed for me. I stepped on to a 4 part TV show called “The Story of Maths by Marcus du Sautoy”.

some how everything clicked, in less than an hour I finally understood what thousand of hours of math class didn’t teach me. What is a circle, and how to find Pi. for years my teacher tell me If you wanted to calculate the area of a circle you should do

“ Area = radius . radius. Pi ”

and I always ask them what is PI? they always told me “it’s a number close to 3.14” and then I ask “how can I calculate it for my self” then they always told me “it’s to advance for a kid”.

I remember vividly when I asked my high school teacher this. he told me “the proof is more than 2000 pages long”.

but that TV show, Story of Mathematics, showed me how to calculate PI for myself.

Marcus showed in that TV program how Archimedes him self did the proof. and I couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t hard to understand, it was beautiful to understand. I never forget that moment.

PS: it wasn’t 2000 pages, you can do it on a napkin.

Fibonacci, golden spiral

the Fibonacci, sequence describe many phenomena in nature but above all, it’s beautiful.

the series goes like 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ..

when the next step is derived from addition last terms.

the part that I used is only these terms “1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21”.

there is a really beautiful geometric pattern is in the Fibonacci sequence.

It’s the golden spiral.

consider a point on were golden spiral touches the each square vertices.

these are the 8 circle that overlay each other with 8 different translucent colors.

each circle grows and collapse with it owns period. as the token Id of the NFT get’s bigger the circle grows till each reaches to their period. each period is a prime number that is grantees to never become denominator of each other.
