What is Automated Liquidity Management (ALM)?

First up, what even is automated liquidity management?

In short; liquidity ranges are automatically rebalanced when certain rebalance triggers are hit.

But what does that mean for our wonderful liquidity providers (you)?

✅Narrower ranges earn more fees and perform better in low volatility due to higher fee multipliers and minimal impermanent loss.

✅Fees will be regularly compounded back into the LP position to increase yield.

✅Auto-rebalancing enables a passive LP experience.

Getting Started with Gamma ALM on Scribe

First up, head to Scribe liquidity section and select your token pairing:

Set your mode to “auto” and your provider to Gamma

Enter the amount of liquidity you wish to provide and cast your wand to sign that magical transaction.

Simple as that.

Now, you’re minimizing impermanent loss whilst maximizing your rewards.

Users and Growth

The past month saw > 19,000 Scribers join us to write the future of DeFi on Scroll. Each of you raised your quill and put digital pen to digital paper to swap tokens, provide liquidity, and get involved with our campaigns.

It was truly magical. It still is.

On top of that, we saw the TVL that’s locked away in the arcane liquidity pools of Scribe increased over 100% . Looking back, we’ll see this as just a drop in the bucket. Today, it’s a significant milestone.

Volume increased to an average of ~$500k per day.

As we continue to write the future of DeFi on Scroll, we expect these numbers to look as small as the dwarves who reside in the Netherrealm.

Building the Guild: Partnerships and Beyond

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Nor was it built alone. There is a deep value found in partnerships throughout the Web3 space, that’s why we’ve prioritized building and growing relationships with top-tier builders across the realm of Crypto.

From OKX Wallet integration to our partnerships with aggregators like ODOS, Eisen and HippoSwap, ensuring the distribution of Scribe and access to our liquidity and rewards has been pivotal.

Of course, there can be no liquidity without bridges! Hundreds of thousands of dollars in value crossed between Ethereum and other L2s into the Scroll ecosystem through Flexy Bridge and Retro Bridge.

What use is a bridge without assets to, well, bridge? Scribe has brought Stakestone’s $STONE and $eETH from EtherFi directly to our DEX and to the broader Scroll ecosystem.

From day one we’d committed to writing upon the Scroll. The Layer 2 that truly scales. That delivers on the promises Ethereum once made.

Since then, we’ve launched four badges, each of which represents the holders’ dedication to Scroll and DeFi on Scribe.

Touching Grass & More!

Living in the digital realm is all well and good, but as every good degen knows it’s crucial we touch grass every once in a while. Even the most elite Scribers need sun (though, it’s rare).

The Scribe team was out in full force at KBW & Token2049, joining partners like Alchemy, Orderly, and Kronos Research to alchemise some of the hottest in-person events and spread the news of the future of DeFi on Scroll (and beyond).

There is always a time when it might be best to sit in a dark room and get rewarded for it (okay, you have to do a little more than just sit in the room). Our Scribe Intract Campaigns have seen thousands of DeFi degenerates, liquidity loremasters, and community members roll into Scribe to assist in writing the first few pages of our journey.

Your Guide to Scribe

Today, in our early stages, there are two core features of Scribe that are prevalent to any traditional DEX in Web3; swapping tokens and providing liquidity.

Both experiences are friction-free, fast, and cheap, given the scalability of Scroll.

Swapping Tokens

If you’re a Web3 veteran, you definitely don’t need to read this. For those just starting, find out how easy it is to swap tokens on Scribe.

Head to the Swap section of Scribe.

Select the tokens you want to swap from the dropdown and enter the amount.

For anything other than ETH, you’ll need to first “approve” the token. Just hit “approve” and sign the transaction in your wallet, then hit “swap” and do the same.

You’ll need a small amount (< $0.10) of ETH to conduct a transaction on Scroll.

Simple as that. Once the transaction is complete, you’ll see the tokens in your wallet and this transaction confirmation.

Providing Liquidity

Okay, this is where the real rewards come in. To provide liquidity and start earning LP fees and those sweet, sweet, Scribe points, head on over to the Liquidity section.

Enter the pair you want to provide liquidity for from the dropdown. Note, you’ll need an equal value of each token in order to provide liquidity.

Select the range - this is an advanced option that protects you from impermanent loss in scenarios where there is massive, sudden, price movements. For now, we’ll just use “Common”.

Enter the amount of liquidity you’d like to provide with one token, the other token will auto generate the amount (but you’ll need both!).

Hit the button, approve the transactions, and you’re done.

You can track your positions 24/7 on the Positions section as well as track the amount of fees you’ve earned.

Now, get to it, traveler. It’s time to earn Scribe points.

Future Features

This is just the beginning, the prologue if you will. Our roadmap consists of upgrades that are set to enhance usability, liquidity availability, and incentives.

To top it off, we’re set to implement a launchpad for the Scroll ecosystem. This will, of course, much like the rest of the Scribe ecosystem be fuelled by the Scribe token and governed by $SCRIBE holders.
