The goal is to not only deploy a more comprehensive, safer, and more optimized CDP infrastructure but also ensure maximum adherence to DeFi best practices and broader industry standards.

CDP infrastructure is based on Kashi from Sushi. Final deployment will take account of all necessary security measures, as well as addressing lingering minor flaws and optimizations that have not yet been taken into consideration within Kashi or protocols that are forks of it.

Staking Deployment

To account for the protocol pipeline update, the staking component is being released in advance. sSEN goes live today, Monday, November 20th. Holders will be able to stake their SEN tokens to earn rewards in WETH from trading tax distribution. The distribution fully accounts for trading taxes already accrued.

Staking undergoes a 24-hour lockup. It is possible to claim WETH on a daily basis, starting from the day after staking component deployment. The rewards stream will be managed to ensure uniformity and consistency of rewards while still prioritizing an attractive enough distribution in the short term to better align with pipeline expectations.

sSEN goes live as fully compatible with protocol fee redistribution. After CDP infrastructure deployment, sSEN will start to increase in ratio. Interest, opening, and liquidation fees are converted into SEN and added to the staking contract.

TL;DR

In TradFi markets, the way leverage is structured is stacked in favor of major financial institutions, preventing everyday people from accessing its full benefits.

Meanwhile, existing DeFi lending products are inflexible and risky with unsustainable financial models.

Seneca’s CDP lending protocol provides flexible, yield-bearing collateral options and isolated lending pools that overcome these challenges, delivering greater capital efficiency and minimizing risk.

This allows Seneca to bring leverage to the masses and create a genuine rival to the $8 trillion TradFi lending market.

The Problem With Leverage In Traditional Financial Markets

Leverage refers to the use of borrowed funds or debt to amplify the potential returns on an investment. It allows investors to control a larger position than what they could afford with their own capital alone. Leverage is the lifeblood of the global financial landscape, serving as the core vehicle that major banking institutions use to drive their growth. However, in traditional financial markets, the way leverage is structured is stacked in favor of these institutions with many barriers in place to prevent everyday people from benefiting in a similar way.

Before explaining why TradFi leverage models fail to meet the needs of the masses and how Seneca can help solve this, let’s take a look at how leverage works. It can be conceived of as follows:

Borrowing Capital: An individual or institution borrows money, often from a bank or a brokerage firm, to make an investment. This borrowed money is referred to as "leverage" or "margin."

Larger Position Size: With the borrowed funds, the investor can now control a larger position in an asset (e.g., stocks, bonds, real estate) than they could have with their own capital. This magnifies both potential gains and losses.

Example: Let's say an investor has $10,000 of their own money and wants to invest in a stock priced at $100 per share. Without leverage, they could purchase 100 shares. However, if they use 2:1 leverage, they could borrow an additional $10,000 to buy 200 shares. If the stock price goes up by 10%, they would make a $2,000 profit instead of $1,000 without leverage.

This all sounds great in theory, however in reality, the game is rigged in a way that disempowers regular consumers and delivers all the rewards that leverage strategies offer to big institutions. This is why:

Costly Interest-Rates: Because the institutions lending out the money to be used as leverage are highly centralized, they are able to manipulate the market to drive up the cost of borrowing. This means consumers pay levels of interest that make leverage unappealing, whilst banks receive outsized returns.

Unfair Allocation Of Risk: Banks are able to take huge risk on their own leverage strategies, knowing they are “too big to fail” so will be bailed out by governments if their risks don’t pay off. Meanwhile, the average consumer has no such protection meaning that the risk-reward dynamics are always skewed to the advantage of major institutions.

Rigid Products: Leverage products are structured in inflexible packages that are tailored to the bank’s revenue model rather than the consumer’s needs. This makes it difficult for borrowers to find leverage products that synergize with their unique strategy.

Together these problems mean that the benefits of traditional leverage markets are concentrated amongst large financial institutions. Meanwhile, the public at large is locked out from taking their share of the rewards.

In theory, DeFi with its focus on decentralization, capital efficiency and flexibility should offer an ideal solution to these problems. However, existing DeFi lending solutions have brought with them a whole new set of problems…

Why Existing DeFi Lending Solutions Have Failed To Achieve Mass Adoption

Leverage in DeFi should offer a simple and powerful proposition, allowing users to increase their exposure in order to amplify their yields. Indeed, the DeFi lending market has made some inroads into the global leverage sector, with the total value of all DeFi lending and borrowing protocols now totalling over $13bn. However this is just a drop in the ocean compared to the $8 trillion TradFi lending market. For DeFi lending to usurp the TradFi market’s dominance and bring leverage to the masses, there are a series of problems that need to be overcome:

Unsustainable Models Based On Emissions: In order to sufficiently incentivize depositors to put down assets as collateral to borrow against, DeFi lending protocols need to ensure holders receive an attractive interest rate. To achieve this, the current generation of lending protocols usually amplify returns for depositors by offering them a share of native token emissions. However, as adoption grows a small amount of native tokens is split amongst an ever-increasing userbase. This means either each individual depositor starts to receive diminishing returns or emissions have to be ramped up to unsustainable levels.

Inflexible & Inefficient Collateral Options: Meanwhile, the incumbent DeFi lending protocols mostly rely on a model of accepting ETH and other Ethereum-based assets as collateral. Because these assets are not inherently yield-bearing, this means there is no in-built mechanism for generating interest for depositors. This means a clear opportunity for providing value to depositors is missed, leading to further reliance on the kind of unsustainable models described above.

High Risk: Finally, existing DeFi lending protocols primarily rely on minting caps to control collateral levels. This exposes users to unnecessary risk as one as one new security loophole can lead to major problems for an otherwise secure lending protocol. This in turn can lead to the exploitation of the entire borrowing capacity.

All of this adds up to a situation where current DeFi lending protocols are facing similar issues of cost, risk and inflexibility to TradFi lending, albeit under a different guise.

This is where Seneca comes in…

How Seneca Solves The Problems Of Cost, Risk, & Capital Efficiency To Bring Leverage to The Masses

Seneca utilizes the familiar Collateralized Debt Position (CDP) lending model but applies a series of unique innovations that elegantly solve the current problems with DeFi lending described above.

The CDP model itself is very simple. Users can deposit whitelisted assets as collateral against which they take out loans. In the case of Seneca, users would be able to use their collateral to mint and borrow senUSD. senUSD is Seneca’s native stablecoin, which is the name given to tokens that track the value of USD on a 1:1 basis.

However, Seneca is not just a regular CDP protocol. Instead, it has deployed 3 unique features to solve the issues of cost, risk and capital efficiency faced by the DeFi lending sector. Here is a summary of how it archives this:

Accepting Yield-Bearing Assets As Collateral: It’s notable that Liquid Staking has recently overtaken DeFi lending as the second largest DeFi market behind decentralized exchanges. And yet, the DeFi lending market has failed to connect the dots and capitalize on the opportunities that Yield-Bearing Assets (YBAs) like Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) offer. Seneca has identified how accepting Yield-Bearing Assets as collateral provides an inherent mechanism for delivering sustainable returns back to depositors. By accepting naturally Yield-Bearing Assets such as LSTs as collateral, Seneca has an in-built mechanism for providing interest to its depositors. Meanwhile, by giving them loans in the form of its native senUSD stablecoin, Seneca allows users to free up their otherwise idle capital to engage in further yield-bearing activities. Furthermore, Seneca won’t just accept LSTs as collateral but instead aims to accept the whole range of YBAs on offer in the DeFi market, including LP tokens, Deposit Receipts, Principal Tokens, yield-bearing stablecoins and more. This provides a much more flexible solution than existing DeFi lending protocols, delivering greater capital efficiency.

Minimizing Risk: But it’s not just the issues of flexibility and capital efficiency that Seneca solves. In addition, it provides new solutions for minimizing risk for its users. When users open CDP positions, they are only liable and responsible for repaying the senUSD they borrowed. No one can repay another user’s debt or seize another user’s assets unless they are liquidated. Likewise, no one can borrow their deposited assets. This removes a lot of the risk inherent in DeFi lending, making leverage more accessible to everyday users.

Isolating Risk: In addition to reducing overall risk for its users, Seneca also isolates risks to ensure that where they do occur they do not proliferate amongst the wider user base. This is done through its pioneering Apricus Chamber feature. Apricus Chambers are isolated debt pools, which allow the Seneca protocol to separate collateral types by asset. This allows Apricus Chambers to have distinct advantages over general collateral pools. Firstly, isolated pools allow Seneca to offer collateral types with higher volatility because they keep each collateral type isolated. This leads to greater collateral flexibility. Secondly, because the pools are isolated rather than mixed, users will be able to benefit from generally higher Loan-to-Value (LTV) rates. That's because the risk is fragmented by collateral type rather than being extended to all parties automatically.

So, taken together, Seneca’s features solve each of the key problems of cost, risk and inflexibility that plague the current generation of DeFi lending protocols. In doing so, it sets the stage for wider adoption of DeFi lending, meaning Seneca can bring leverage to the masses and create a genuine rival to the $8 trillion TradFi lending market.

Get Ready For The Seneca Public Sale

As you can see, Seneca is revolutionizing both the second and third largest DeFi markets, whilst also targeting an $8 trillion opportunity. Soon, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of the revolution by taking part in the Seneca public sale, with dates being announced shortly. We’ve also got some exciting partnerships announcements lined up, the public testnet almost ready to go live, and details coming soon on the Token Generation Event. Later in this article, we’ll be diving deeper into what YBAs are and how Seneca uses them to unlock the vast value trapped in idle liquidity. But first, let’s take a look at what CDPs themselves are and how they work.

However Seneca is no regular CDP. Instead, it will disrupt the entire CDP market by creating a completely new model for what kinds of assets can be used as collateral to borrow against. The traditional CDP model can be exemplified by protocols such as MakerDAO, which predominantly accept assets such as ETH and other Ethereum-based assets as collateral. However, there are currently a whole range of Yield-Bearing Assets (YBAs) that still cannot be used as collateral on existing CDP protocols. That leaves a whole range of blue-chip assets stranded from DeFi lending markets, with billions of dollars of value left idle. This is the problem Seneca seeks to solve by offering the users the option to use YBAs as collateral to borrow senUSD on its CDP platform.

So, let’s dive into how it intends to do that…

What Are YBAs & How Will Seneca Unlock Their Value To Dramatically Improve DeFi Capital Efficiency?

YBAs are any DeFi asset where the holder accumulates yields just by holding them. They include assets such as Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs), LP tokens, Deposit Receipts, Principle Tokens, and Yield-Bearing Stablecoins. YBAs represent a vast source of unexploited value in the CDP market as they make the ideal collateral option for borrowing against. This is because currently there is a scarcity of options for YBA holders to realize the full value of their assets.

So, their YBAs remain idle, with very few opportunities to leverage them, meaning the only way to free up capital is to sell them. Seneca solves this by offering users the option to use their YBAs as collateral to borrow its stablecoin, senUSD, against. This creates a win-win situation for users. Whilst they accumulate the yields from their YBA, they can simultaneously leverage the asset as collateral to take out senUSD loans. This compounds their yields and creates a whole new range of opportunities for extracting value from what was previously an idle asset. Holders of YBAs no longer need to choose between accumulating yield or selling their assets. Instead they access senUSD loans that can be used for a variety of DeFi activities, whilst retaining their YBAs and the yields associated with them. So, Seneca now allows users to unlock & extract new value from an unexploited source of deep liquidity. This brings heightened capital efficiency and financing to DeFi's sleeping giants: billions of dollars of idle YBAs.

Now, the reason that Seneca represents such a big leap forward for the DeFi lending market is that it won’t just offer the option to use a single class of YBA as loan collateral. Instead, it will be the first protocol to accept a whole range of different yield-bearing asset classes as collateral.

So, let’s look at some examples of the types of YBAs that Seneca will be aiming to unlock the value of by accepting them as collateral for senUSD loans…

How Seneca Will Allow Users To Leverage The Value Of An Unprecedented Range Of Yield-Bearing Asset Classes

Seneca’s long-term vision is to provide a lending protocol where every kind of YBA can be used as collateral in order to unlock the full value of all sources of idle liquidity. So, let’s take a look at some of the classes of YBAs that Seneca could accept as collateral:

1. Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs)

Of course, Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) have been the YBA that has attracted most attention recently, with LST-backed stablecoins widely seen as a key use case. As you will see, Seneca goes far beyond this model to target a full-range of currently unexploited YBA collateral options. However, the LST use case remains an important one, so in addition to expanding beyond it, Seneca will also be innovating the LST-backed stablecoin model.

Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) are tokens that DeFi users receive as receipts for their ETH holdings when they stake their ETH through staking pools such as Lido and Rocket Pool. As their staked ETH accumulates rewards, these yields are recognised in their LST holdings (either by an increase in the value of the LST tokens themselves, or by a transfer of additional LST tokens to the holder). This allows users to unlock the liquidity of their staked assets, whilst still generating yields from them. They therefore offer a paradigmatic example of a YBA.

With Seneca, users will be able to put up their LSTs as collateral to borrow senUSD. This gives them the ability to keep getting paid ETH rewards for staking whilst also borrowing against their position, unlocking a further level of liquidity. Additionally, Seneca will introduce an innovative concept in LST-backed stablecoin loans through the creation of isolated lending pools called Apricus Chambers. These isolated lending pools will mitigate the overall "bad debt" risk to Seneca, allowing the platform more freedom to offer very competitive LTV ratios.

But Seneca is much more than just an LSDfi project. It is unique in its vision to go beyond LSTs to unlock the value of all YBAs. Here are some of the other YBA options Seneca could accept as collateral…

2. LP Tokens

Liquidity Providers (LPs) are DeFi users who deposit assets into pools on Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) to provide liquidity to the protocol. In return for providing liquidity, they earn trading fees, which are paid in the form of LP tokens. Billions of dollars are currently deposited into DEXs with the goal of earning these LP tokens, however a sizable portion of them remain idle.

By accepting LP tokens as collateral for senUSD loans, Seneca can unlock their full value and deliver further increases to DeFi capital efficiency.

Let’s take the example of Balancer Pool Tokens (BPTs) which LPs on Balancer receive in return for providing liquidity to the protocol. An LP might provide liquidity to an ETH-USDC pool on Balancer and in return they’d receive trading fees. In fact, LP tokens can even interact with LSTs. For example, an LP might provide liquidity to a pool comprised of LSTs such as a wstETH/WETH pool, which would also accrue trading fees. In either case, they could then use their BPTs as collateral to borrow senUSD on Seneca, thereby unlocking further liquidity whilst still earning yield from Balancer.

But LP tokens aren’t the only opportunity for expanding beyond LSTs to unlock the value of a full range of YBAs on the Seneca protocol. Deposit Receipts are another exciting and underexploited type of YBA, which we’ll now turn our focus to…

3. Deposit Receipts

There are various DeFi money markets such as Aave that allow you to deposit assets and receive a token that serves as a receipt of that deposit. These Deposit Receipts currently represent another underexploited form of YBA as their application is usually limited to the platform that mints them. By offering users the opportunity to use these Deposit Receipts as collateral for borrowing senUSD, Seneca offers up a new credit line for holders who otherwise have few options.

Let’s take the example of Aave’s aUSDC. When a user deposits USDC into Aave, they receive an equivalent amount of aUSDC in return at a 1:1 ratio. However, there are few available markets for holders to exploit the value of their holdings. By allowing users to leverage their aUSDC tokens to receive credit in the form of senUSD, Seneca therefore unlocks another source of trapped liquidity.

In our next article, we’ll be diving deeper into further opportunities for extracting value from Deposit Receipts on platforms such as Radiant and Torus. As you can see, once you start looking, there are almost limitless applications for Seneca to open up credit lines for currently underserved users.

4. Principal Tokens

Another type of exotic collateral that is currently underexploited by CDP protocols is Principal Tokens. Principal Tokens serve a function in platforms such as Pendle, which allow users to access an asset’s future yield. In the case of Pendle, it achieves this by allowing users to deposit yield-bearing assets then giving them two types of token in return, namely Principal Tokens and Yield Tokens. Principal Tokens represent the value of the initial deposit, whilst Yield Tokens represent the value of the expected Yield.

As an example, a user might deposit wstETH on Pendle, in return for which they’d receive Principal Tokens representing the value of their wstETH deposit and Yield Tokens representing the value of the future expected yields that the wstETH generates.

Seneca can offer holders of Principal Tokens a way of putting their tokens to work. By leveraging them up on the Seneca platform as collateral for borrowing senUSD, they can extract further value from their Principal Tokens rather than letting them sit idle.

So, whether it's LSTs, LP tokens, Deposit Receipts, or Principal Tokens, Seneca can offer DeFi users unique new opportunities for putting their idle YBAs to work to improve their capital efficiency. But another option that we haven’t yet discussed, which offers a perfect-fit as CDP collateral, is yield-bearing stablecoins themselves. Let’s have a look at how that would work…

5. Yield-Bearing Stablecoins

Yield-bearing stablecoins offer users the opportunity to earn interest simply by holding the coin itself. But what if they could further compound that yield by borrowing against their holdings as they accumulate yields? This is what Seneca can offer. By accepting yield-bearing stablecoins as collateral for senUSD loads, Seneca will allow users to raise further funds whilst still continuing to earn yields on their underlying assets. In fact, stablecoins such as these serve as ideal collateral for DeFi lending. This is because they are the least likely to get liquidated due to their low volatility, which ensures the depostors can receive very high Loan-To-Value (LTV) ratios. Meanwhile, Seneca’s Apricus Chamber isolated lending pools will further mitigate risk, allowing the protocol to offer even better value to lenders.

Up Next: Omnichain Functionality, Root Ecosystem Partnerships, Additional Deposit Receipt Applications, And More…

LSTs, LP Tokens, Deposit Receipts, Principal Tokens, and Yield-Bearing Stablecoins offer some exciting examples of how Seneca can unlock the full range of currently idle YBAs to become the top source of credit in DeFi. In doing so, it can exponentially increase the capital efficiency of the DeFi ecosystem and free up billions of dollars in underutilized assets.

However, this article just scratches the surface of Seneca’s vision for revolutionizing DeFi lending by offering credit to a vast market of underserved users. In upcoming articles in this series we’ll be discussing how Seneca will leverage LayerZero to deliver a truly omnichain experience. We’ll also be explaining how it gains an additional competitive advantage through its integration in the Root ecosystem, whilst diving into further markets that Seneca can serve in the world of Deposit Receipts.

Until then, you can stay on top of all things Seneca, by joining our Discord at: https://discord.gg/senecaprotocol

And while Newton wasn’t an expert on DeFi, his law holds true in today’s deceptively busy industry.

If you look at the price charts of most major altcoins, and even most TVL charts, you’d think DeFi was dead. But under the surface, we’re building for the inevitable mass adoption phase to come.

Decentralized Stablecoins: A Reaction to Centralized Crypto Failures: Tether and Circle's Downside and the Need for Change

This is where Newton’s law comes into play. 2022 was a disaster for crypto, to say the least. Centralized institutions left and right failed on every metric, but especially honesty and transparency. As a result, we have the equal and opposite reaction: perhaps the busiest building market that crypto/web3 has ever seen.

One narrative that’s exploded due to the failures of centralized crypto players is overcollateralized, decentralized stablecoins. Tether and Circle each have their own downsides, be it lack of transparency and/or censorship of transactions, and they also make up over 86% of the total stablecoin market. Obviously, something needs to change.

Upon the successful Shanghai update in April, unstaking and withdrawing staked ETH became possible, leading to another major narrative: LSDs. This means there’s a lot less risk to staking ETH, which means that the amount of staked ETH should grow meaningfully for quite some time. However, it also opens the gates for a plethora of new products.

Unleashing the Potential of ETH LSDs: Exploring the Growth of New Stablecoins Backed by ETH LSDs

Now, we can combine those two narratives to get an array of new stablecoins backed by various ETH LSDs. Lybra Finance has been the leader in this field so far, accruing over $200m in TVL with their ETH and stETH-backed eUSD stablecoin in under 2 months. Another emerging player is the well-funded PrismaFi, whose acUSD stablecoin will be backed by a basket of LSDs, including wstETH, cbETH, rETH, sfrxETH, and WBETH.

Introducing senUSD: Expanding Collateral Possibilities: How Seneca Protocol Backs senUSD with LSDs and Yield-Bearing Assets

Seneca aims to add another piece to this puzzle with our senUSD stablecoin. Here’s the idea: senUSD will be backed not just by LSDs, but also various types of other yield-bearing assets.

These will include LP tokens from the best liquidity sources in DeFi (Curve, Balancer, and Uniswap v3 primarily), as well as yield-bearing stablecoins and lending markets receipts (e.g. USDC deposited into lending markets, or crvUSD omnipool receipts).

Obviously, we love to see the speed at which this innovation is growing. But at the same time, we want to take it to the next level. Ultimately, we’re expanding the capital efficiency of DeFi.

The Power of Composability in DeFi: Leveraging DeFi's Advantage Over TradFi for Enhanced Capital Efficiency

In order for DeFi to expand and become an attractive place for global money to settle, there’s no question that we need to prioritize capital efficiency. Fortunately for us, DeFi has a clear advantage over TradFi: composability.

Because of composability, capital can do multiple things at once. This makes assets like LSDs and LP tokens possible and accessible to everyone. This is one area with which TradFi simply can’t compete, so we need to leverage it as much as we can.

Extending Collateral Possibilities with Seneca Protocol: Enabling a Wider Range of DeFi Users and Additional Yield Opportunities

Seneca is doing this by extending the possibilities of what users can post as collateral against loans. This unlocks several benefits, such as offering services to a wider selection of DeFi users, paying additional yield on staked tokens, LP tokens, etc.

Capital Efficiency Amplified: Borrowing Against LP Tokens

Let’s use LP tokens as an example. Today, most liquidity providers deposit token pairs into DEXs and collect trading fees. The trading fees may be nice, but there’s also issues like IL, managing liquidity range, and more.

Seneca is basically adding another layer on top of this process. Instead of settling for (usually) meager rewards, LP token holders can add another source of passive income without having to buy anything else. All they’d have to do is lend their LP tokens on Seneca and earn interest.

Bringing Assets Together on a Powerful Dapp: Seneca Protocol's Vision for Uniting Stablecoins, LSDs, LP Tokens, and More

However, the capital efficiency doesn’t end there! Not only can you add another source of passive income, but you can also borrow against your LP tokens. Those borrowed funds would then likely go back into DeFi in some way, expanding the overall market. Creating ways to do as much as possible with your money – that’s the power of capital efficiency! Stablecoins, LSDs, LP tokens, and many other assets all have critical parts to pay, and Seneca is aiming to bring them all together on the same powerful Dapp.

To stay updated, follow us on Twitter at @SenecaUSD and join the Seneca Discord server.

Dear Seneca Citizens,

Seneca is on a mission to bring leverage to the masses by providing the first platform for leveraging a variety of Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSDs). LSDs are currently the DeFi sector’s hottest asset class, creating a new $17bn+ market, which Seneca is well placed to capitalize on. We wanted to keep you up to date on what’s been going on behind the scenes as we prepare for launch:

Progress In Creating A Safe, Easy-To-Use LSD Leverage Platform To Ensure Mass-Adoption

By being the first platform to offer participants the opportunity to use a variety of LSD assets as leverage collateral across popular EVMs. Seneca is well-placed to be the focal point of mass-market adoption for both leverage solutions and LSDs, this means it is extremely important that the Seneca platform offers an extremely easy-to-use interface to ensure it provides a simple experience even for people who have never used leverage before.

Therefore, a lot of our focus at the moment is on extensive testing to ensure a seamless experience. We’ve been finalizing tests on our smart contracts, and they are now ready to go off to Audit. The next step will be connecting it to the front-end Borrow page, which is the part users will see when accessing Seneca’s leverage solutions. We’ve been putting a lot of work into developing the layout of the Borrow page to ensure it provides a simple user journey that allows users to leverage their LSDs and other exotic collaterals at the click of a button. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be integrating the back-end, front-end and smart contracts together, at which point we can start to get a good visual feel for how the experience will be for users.

Already we can see that the platform is going to deliver the kind of user experience that is required for Seneca to deliver on its vision of bringing omnichain leverage solutions to the masses for exotic collaterals and we can’t wait to share more as things develop.

Expect An Uptick In Twitter Activity As We Ride The Wave Of The Current LSD Hype.

With the technical development side on track, you will now start to see a lot more engagement from Seneca on Twitter. With all the hype around LSDs at the moment, the timing is perfect for raising awareness of the world’s first Omnichain solution for maximizing the value of LSD assets through our leverage strategies.

To hear all the latest updates, ensure you are following us at:

https://twitter.com/SenecaUSD

Make sure to like, comment on and retweet as many of our posts as you can as we start riding the hype on DeFi’s most exciting new asset class.

That’s all from us this week but stay tuned for more updates over the coming weeks as we continue to prepare for launch and capitalize on the opportunity to bring leverage to the masses through our first-to-market Omnichain LSD leverage solution.

All the best,

The Seneca Team

Dear Citizens,

We’ve been busy building out the Seneca Protocol product and business operations in preparation for launch. We wanted to give you some updates on what we’ve been up to:

Technical Development

On the development front, we’re working hard to ensure that, straight from launch, Seneca Protocol takes its rightful place as DeFi’s premier lending protocol. We want to ensure that users have a seamless and safe experience right from day 1.

This week, we’ve mostly been focusing on the borrow functionality. We have conducted extensive testing to ensure that the borrowing process is secure and can be executed smoothly. In testing, we’ve found that we need to make some alterations to the isolated lending markets, which is also being worked on. We’ve been making good progress so far, and we have been delighted to see how quickly the team is able to execute changes like this. It speaks to the quality both of the Seneca team and the platform.

Business Operations

Aside from the technical side of things, we’ve made some important additions to the team recently. We feel confident that they are going to help us pull off a perfectly executed launch and build a product that is a joy to use. We’ve added several staff to the Business Development team who will help us raise funds, build partnerships, and get the message about Seneca out to key players in the DeFi market. We’ve also expanded the dev team and brought on more protocol architecture resource to ensure we can continue our seamless product development as the protocol launches and scales. Additionally, we would like to highlight the onboarding of a new Protocol Architect with vast experience across the DeFi space to lead the development and scaling of our protocol. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience and build a thriving community, we are pleased to announce the appointment of a second Community Manager. Finally, we’ve hired a dedicated member of staff to focus on content creation. This will allow us to give you more frequent updates on Seneca’s progress, start releasing regular deep-dive articles explaining every aspect of the Seneca project, and generate marketing collateral that can be used to stimulate adoption.

In Conclusion

So, we are excited about the direction things are heading in and we’re happy to say that everything is progressing as planned. Stay tuned for more updates over the coming weeks.

All the best,

The Seneca Team
