AladdinDAO aims to “shift crypto investments from venture capitalists to wisdom of crowds through collective value discovery.”

The project was introduced on May 24th, 2021. With the explosive rise of DeFi since the summer of 2020, there are new projects popping up everyday. Without a deep understanding of how things work in DeFi, it can be difficult and time consuming to differentiate the good projects from the bad, the innovative sound projects from the hyped up cash grabs.

AladdinDAO is building a community that allows some of the smartest experts in DeFi to share alpha on projects with other community members who can capture potential upside of these projects and their liquidity mining incentives through owning the ALD token.

The Boule Members serve as the committee of the DAO and are responsible for growing its treasury. The 30 member group consists of experts in DeFi and were voted on and elected by the community.

They are rewarded by two primary performance metrics:

The Boule Council meets weekly for research meetings where two protocols are presented and discussed. The council then votes one week later on whether to integrate the protocols into the AladdinDAO ecosystem. If voted and agreed upon by the council, AladdinDAO will acquire tokens and provide liquidity to the protocol. This value is then reflected in the value of the ALD token.

Boule Plus

Users can become Boule Plus members of the DAO by holding the ALD Plus token. To receive the ALD Plus token, members must simply stake 5,000 ALD. As a Boule Plus Member, you can vote on how you think liquidity mining pools will perform. Based on the how you vote, you can be eligible for a share of the 2% ALD supply.

The total ALD max supply is just over 1 billion ALD, with the following distribution:

80% Liquidity mining (LPs, DAO Mining, Contributors, DAO Reserve) - 23% Option Reserve- 4% Liquidity Support- 2% Boule Plus- 1% Airdrop

AladdinDAO recently underwent an upgrade to their Tokenomics, moving from a fixed block emission to one that is dependent on bond sales.

They have adopted a bonding and staking model that has become popular recently with the rise of DeFi 2.0 and protocols like OHM. Though the model being used is not simply a fork of OHM but one build specifically for AladdinDAO.

With Bonding, users can Bond a number of different assets including WBTC, WETH, DAI, USDC. In return for helping to grow Aladdin’s treasury, users will received discounted ALD tokens. Another option is to Stake and earn ALD tokens.

AladdinDAO was created by some of the biggest brains in DeFi. This group collectively has the experience of building, investing in, and deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem.

AladdinDAO has also attracted some of the biggest brain DeFi investors. The first batch of Boule Members was announced on Sept. 30th and includes representatives from some of the top DeFi investment firms.

We have also leveraged InterPlanetary Name System (IPNS) + ENS to make ENS and IPFS hash record updates — scalable, fast, and inexpensive on 4EVERLAND platform.

4EVERLAND Hosting has been favourably accepted by developers all over the world since its launch, enabling them to quickly build websites, web applications, or native applications based on IPFS with integrated privacy, encryption, and p2p features.

Both ENS and 4EVERLAND team aims to be the infrastructure of Web 3.0 and provides more power to all Web 3.0 developments. ENS offers a decentralized, censorship-resistant, and user-controlled domain naming system for websites, Dapps, and other Dweb resources/services. Instead of DNS, which is maintained by a central authority, ENS is censorship-resistant and runs on smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

The combination of Hosting and ENS allows all Dweb users to be truly decentralised without having to rely on traditional centralized services.

The key issue with ENS updates and transactions is that IPFS content hashes changes with every deployment, therefore you must alter the hash each time on your domain.

Now what if we used ENS for a different type of record that would not change on each deployment, but reference a different IPFS hash which we could update without having to trigger multiple transactions on the Ethereum network?

For that reason, 4EVERLAND uses IPNS to update ENS domains.

The InterPlanetary Name System (IPNS) was designed by the IPFS team to solve this issue by creating an address that can be updated.

We can now set a static IPNS address and make IPFS hash updates in layer 2, rather than altering your IPFS hash on your ENS name.

In this way, we can reduce ENS transactions to just 1 without losing the distributed/decentralized privileges of IPFS and ENS. When a user adds an ENS domain, a transaction is performed to change the ENS domain content hash to the new IPNS address.

From then on, all future IPFS hash updates a user makes, change or deployment will be done on that site’s specific IPNS address record, at zero cost, without any gas fees. It’s not only scalable but also fast and cost effective.
