We hope 2021 was a great year for you as it was for us! In December 2021, we worked hard to enhance the Linear ecosystem and provide more channels of engagement with the Community. Here is a recap of all the updates for the month of December!

Months of hard work have finally come to fruition as we finally present to the Linear Community a long-awaited product — Chaotic! As many of you may know, the official launch of Chaotic will be in 2022 but we are regularly releasing more information about its ecosystem till its launch date!

Chaotic will be a Community-driven delta-one asset protocol deployed on Moonriver, allowing users to trade long and short positions of their favorite tokens with up to four times leverage. What’s more, $CHAOS will be Chaotic’s governance token and many essential aspects of the protocol will be voted on and decided by Chaotic’s users, such as p-ratio, asset listings, leverage levels and rewards. Not to worry! No holder of $LINA has been left out of this exciting development, $CHAOS will be airdropped to you! Keep an eye out for more upcoming news

Another step forward in December — we are now listed on KuCoin and DeFiLlama! Since early December, the $LINA token has been listed on KuCoin and supported trading pairs include LINA/USDT and LINA/BTC. More recently, $LINA has also been listed on DefiLlama; users can now track Linear Finance on one of the biggest communities in the DeFi space. Check us out on both Defi Llama and KuCoin and stay tuned as we continue to roll out more listings or partnerships! Needless to say, we will continue to work hard to expand our exposure in the DeFi space in the coming year.

We’ve officially launched our Global Ambassador Program! Moving forward, our Ambassadors, experts with the Linear Protocol, will become a big part of the Linear DAO and our Community in general. New and experienced users alike — feel free to connect with them on Twitter! More networking events to bring the Community closer together will be lined up further down the road and our Ambassadors will also be working hard to publish educational podcasts, videos or infographics to support the Community!

We were excited to partner with Sifchain and KuCoin to hold 2 AMAs over the course of December where we caught up with their latest developments and explored possible partnerships and collaborative ventures. Because, why not? Wouldn’t a second liquidity pool with one of our Liquids e.g. $ROWAN/ℓUSD seem exciting? Similarly, with KuCoin we are looking to grow our partnership with them since our listing in early December to increase the value of Linear’s offerings. We heard your requests — and made it happen! We are in the last stages of our UI/UX improvements for the Linear dApp and these will be due to go live early next year!

First up, we have created the mobile version for Linear Exchange and Buildr that is user-friendly and allows you to trade on the go conveniently! For all night owls, you will be pleased to know we also have the dark mode versions of Exchange and Buildr lined up for you! And yes, that’s for both the desktop and mobile versions. Another wave of amazing UI/UX enhancements has been announced on our Twitter channel, stay tuned!

We are pleased to inform you that starting Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 weekly rewards that have been locked for over a year will begin unlocking. The unlocked values will be automatically staked and continue to serve as collateral if you have debt in Buildr, allowing you to keep earning weekly rewards. Congratulations to everyone who will start enjoying their rewards, you’ve earned it!

As I try to understand what Firefly aim to be. I made a simple comparison matrix with other platform in this blog to see how potential of Firefly could be when it goes live.

The reward are calculated according to a weight of average fees paid, open, maker volume. Unlike centralized exchanges that capture the value generated by the traders, decentralized apps allow for value flow back to users of the protocol.
