What is an IFO?

Initial Farm Offering is a new and fair way to democratize ownership of Sturgeon and raise some CVR for for initial liquidity and also for runway for the Sturgeon treasury. Users can deposit their Trident ALM LPs to Sturgeon’s IFO vaults which is just like a regular Sturgeon vault, except your yields are automatically exchanged for STGN tokens. 1 CVR yield harvested = 1 STGN token received by the user.

IFO participants acquire STGN for free. This is not a typo, an IFO is the most sustainable way to participate in a token sale as the user gets to keep the principle while their yield is put to work to acquire STGN at a fixed ratio as mentioned above.

How long does it run?

We are raising 500,000 CVR for 50% of the total STGN supply. The IFO vaults will continue distributing STGN tokens until we reach 500,000 CVR harvested. Afterward the IFO is complete, the vault will be sunset.

Will I get another chance to get STGN?

The IFO is the only way to get your hands on STGN tokens at the moment.

Utilization of CVR raised during the IFO

50% of the CVR raised during the IFO is to be paired with STGN and used as protocol owned liquidity on Pearl Exchange. The remaining CVR will go to the treasury and will be staked for sCVR to generate revenue and support day to day operations in a sustainable manner.
