Synapse Intents Network represent more than just a technical upgrade—it's a complete reimagining of chain abstraction. SIN will continue driving faster, cheaper quotes for users without using emissions. Additionally, it allows:

Off-chain auction for bridge quotes between relayers. CEX-like pricing with on-chain guarantees

The first decentralized intent network with live fraud proofs, allowing SIN to onboard DeFi protocols, MEV bots, etc

Relaying for ANY asset and ANY action. Imagine 1 transaction from ETH on Optimism to a Pendle pool on Ethereum.

Additionally, SIN allows $SYN staking and a feasible fee switch. Currently, fraud proofs are gated like the rollout of L2s, but the system allows fraud provers and relayer to stake $SYN to decentralize the network and receive fees.

Tokenomic Revolution

With these core innovations in motion, $SYN is going through a tokenomic shift. A quick look at what’s possible and DAO governance shows 3 large efforts:

A $3.5M DAO buyback proposal for a target of 5M SYN

Reducing emissions by 70% with RFQ’s success. A proposed buyback program targeting 5M SYN tokens represents a strategic rebalancing that aligns treasury assets with the protocol's future direction, aligning the treasury toward proof-of-stake mechanics.

Emission Optimization

The second force comes from a dramatic reduction in emissions, made possible by technological efficiency gains. The proposal to reduce emissions by 65% will result in approximately 2.5M fewer SYN tokens entering circulation over the next 12 months. This isn't just about reducing supply—it's about optimizing capital efficiency while maintaining service quality across all supported chains.

The Staking Horizon

Perhaps the most intriguing development on the horizon is the introduction of staking through the Synapse Intent Network (SIN). This isn't just another staking implementation—it represents a fundamental shift in how the protocol handles security and value distribution. The introduction of proof-of-stake mechanics for relayers and guards opens new possibilities for revenue distribution while potentially creating another significant sink for SYN tokens.

In the short run, current proposals reduce SYN supply by close to 10M $SYN. In the long run, Synapse aims to own the whole user experience.

Looking Forward

Synapse will own the whole crypto experience. Chain abstraction means users don’t switch chain, don’t worry about having gas and can simply to from their prompt or intent to their desired end state.

This is why we’re building Cortex. All the complexity of crypto can be taken away by relayers for on-chain infrastructure and AI for user experience. Users only have to know their desired end state. One interface, no clicks, no submitting transactions, no gas, no looking for the right token or highest yield. The user tells Cortex what they want to achieve, and Cortex’s crypto-specific AI model prases the intent and passes it to SIN’s relayers for on-chain execution.

Cortex is the easiest way to use crypto. This creates a flywheel where the more users bridge and prompt, the more orderflow is sent to SIN, the better the prices and support for users, the more users bridge and prompt.Watch a demo of what this looks like in real life -
<div data-type="twitter" tweetId="1859766879948292581" tweetData="{"__typename":"Tweet","lang":"en","favorite_count":539,"possibly_sensitive":false,"created_at":"2024-11-22T01:12:31.000Z","display_text_range":[0,279],"entities":{"hashtags":[],"urls":[],"user_mentions":[],"symbols":[],"media":[{"display_url":"pic.x.com/tN8eOn9Ujz","expanded_url":"https://x.com/Cortex_Protocol/status/1859766879948292581/video/1","indices":[280,303],"url":"https://t.co/tN8eOn9Ujz"}]},"id_str":"1859766879948292581","text":"Today, we’re releasing the first demo of Cortex.

Today, we’re introducing Synapse Intent Network - a millisecond cross-chain market place for any asset and action:

A permissionless intent network with live fraud proofs

Off-chain orderbook competition between relayers instead of “first come first serve” completion, resulting in better prices for users

Support for arbitrary actions: relayers can quote complex destination chain outcomes (bridge and borrow, bridge and LP a pool, etc)

Full composability for other apps to build on top of SIN

Beyond Simple Intents

Cross-chain infrastructure has reached an inflection point. While the first wave of bridges connected chains, and the second wave introduced intents, we're now entering a third era: real-time cross-chain markets for any action. Today, we're launching the Synapse Intent Network, a fundamental evolution in cross-chain architecture that moves beyond traditional intent systems to create the first true marketplace for cross-chain execution.

The current landscape of cross-chain infrastructure is dominated by first-generation intent systems. These networks, while innovative at their time, are fundamentally limited by their single-dimensional competition model. Like Uniswap V2, they optimize for a single variable - in this case, execution speed.

The result? A race-to-fill model that creates inefficient markets and suboptimal user outcomes.

SIN changes this paradigm entirely. By introducing real-time price competition alongside speed, we've created a two-dimensional marketplace that functions more like traditional financial markets. This isn't just an incremental improvement - it's a complete reimagining of how cross-chain infrastructure should work.

Additionally, as cross-chain complexity has grown to thousands of chains, we recognize that users don’t simply want to bridge funds, but take an action after they bridge. The Synapse Intent Network allows any token and any action. For example: the user can bridge ETH from Arbitrum and receive sUSDe deposited into a pendle pool on Ethereum.

The Technical Evolution

At the heart of the Synapse Intent Network are three core innovations:

True Permissionless Relaying and the POS Future

For the first time, anyone can compete as a relayer completely permissionlessly. We achieve this through an optimistic proving mechanism where relay attempts can be disputed by a network of guards(fraud proofs). This creates a secure, open system that encourages broader participation while maintaining robust security guarantees.

This means that any market participant from market makers, MEV bots, trading firms and other DeFi protocols can start relaying in the network and fulfilling user intents. Today, the network of guards that catch fraud proofs are a permissioned multi-party compute system, similar to the rollout of fraud proofs on L2s. In the future, the network will further decentralize by allowing anyone to run a fraud prover. To prevent malicious fraud proofs where relayers acted honestly from delaying user funds, the network will use a POS system to incentivize fraud provers’ honesty.

Every prover and relayer will stake a set amount of $SYN(similar to ETH POS).

Staking $SYN to run fraud provers and relayers:

Scenario 1:

A relayer submits a transaction to fullfill a user intent

A staked fraud prover maliciously claims the transaction is fraudulent when it is not

The prover is slashed, their slashed $SYN is returned to the protocol

The user receives their funds once the proof is shown to be malicious and incorrect

Scenario 2:

A relayer submits a transaction to fullfill a user intent

A staked fraud prover submits an honest proof, showing the relayer is malicious

The relayer is slashed, a portion of their slashed $SYN is given to the fraud prover as a rewarded, the rest is returned to the protocol

Real Time Bidding between Relayers

SIN introduces millisecond-latency bidding for cross-chain transactions. Unlike traditional intent systems where relayers race on first to complete a transaction given a price constraint, SIN enables real-time price competition. This creates a true orderbook model for cross-chain transactions, leading to better prices through active competition.

A quick look at intent.markets will show 5 active intent networks, all of which are “First come, First serve”. Relayers only compete on who’s fastest to relay, not against each other to provide the user with a better price.

With SIN, relayers compete in an off-chain auction to give users the best price. This allows CEX like pricing with on-chain guarantees.

Intents for Chain Abstraction

Synapse Intent Network introduces a new concept: relaying with an arbitrary call for any cross-chain action.

Imagine wanting to earn yield in the sUSDe Pendle Pool. The yield is highest on Ethereum, but the user only has ETH on Arbitrum today. Traditionally, this would require:

Bridging ETH to Ethereum

Swapping to sUSDe

Finding the correct Pendle pool and depositing into it

Now, we allow relayers to bid and fill any arbitrary intent. Think of it as a highly efficient marketplace for cross-chain services:

Users specify what they want (the destination state)

Relayers compete to deliver this outcome

The market determines fair pricing through competition

Complexity becomes a relayer concern, not a user burden

SIN is the world’s largest marketplace for seamlessly executing complex cross-chain operations on behalf of users. This is how chain abstraction happens. As blockchains become more complex with the addition of new chains, protocols, and tokens, this approach simplifies user interactions by delegating the complexity to relayers. The API returns the expected output after all fees so the formula is as follows:amount_out = maxAmountOutStr

The script can be found here.

Across:

Using the Across API, we ran a script to return the expected amount out for the given inputs. To determine the amount received we use the following formula.

amount_out = amount_in - totalRelayFee

We then adjust this amount for the decimals of the respective asset bridged. The totalRelayFee combines the lpFee, relayerGasFee, and relayerCapitalFee. The user then also pays gas to initiate the transaction in their wallet. The logic for this script can be found here. The only difference with the frontend is the number of decimal places reported.

Stargate:

Stargate does not have an api or sdk we can utilize so all quotes are manually pulled from the frontend. Stargate charges two fees per quote: the “gas costs” and the “protocol fee”. The gas fee stargate charges is on top of what the user pays in their wallet and is paid to Layer Zero as a messaging fee (thus not the gas users traditionally think of, which is blockchain execution cost). Thus, our calculation for stargate quotes is

amount_out = amount_in - gasFee - protocolFee

The protocolFee and gasFee are priced in $ ,which is then normalized into ETH terms for all ETH quotes. This also can be calculated by taking the amount received in the UI and subtracting the gas costs.

Additional Information:

This data was gathered at around 7pm UTC on June 3rd.

The ETH price is assumed to be $3873.38 across all calculations to normalize the “Average Savings” rate between USDC and ETH routes.

Stargate offers a number of bridging options, the “Fast” option is used for calculation since the “Economy” bridging option is about 10-20x slower than both Synapse and Across, so this feels like the most equivalent comparison.

The “Average Savings” rate is calculated by taking the difference between the bridgeInputAmount and bridgeOutputAmount for each bridge and comparing them. Further, the “Average Savings” rate is calculated in routes where Synapse is cheaper than the bridge being compared.

Spreadsheet with all the data -

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1urmcgcBLfaWIon3UojUWFpCn1XRRyCa4aTv1CeV3szE/edit#gid=2008183698

Build an ecosystem of different solutions optimized for different parts of the stack. Mix and match as desired.

Monolithic - Use a single integrated architecture from end to end. For example, a single blockchain as settlement, execution and data availability.

This blog post from Celstia does a good job of explaining the differences.

Modular Bridge Expansion

Synapse Bridge is the cheapest, fastest and most capital efficient bridge. Today, Synapse uses 4 different bridge modules to construct the best transaction for a user. Any bridge design has to pick tradeoffs between speed, cost and capital efficiency. Instead of building a monolithic architecture, Synapse has built a set of bridge modules that come together depending on the size, chain and tokens a user wants to bridge.

Synapse RFQ - Bridge transactions are turned into auctions. Relayers compete to provide the best quotes for users, bridges complete in 10 seconds.

Synapse liquidity pools - Stable swap pools with liquidity provided by LPs allowing swaps between stables(USDC, USDT, DAI, etc) and nUSD(Synapse’s interchain stablecoin).

Synapse CCTP - In partnership with Circle, allows slippage-free transfer of USDC between chains.

Synapse X - Swaps using external liquidity pools so users can bridge a larger variety of assets Synapse pools don’t natively support. Let’s take a simple example, a user wants to bridge USDT from Arbitrum and receive USDC on Optimism:

Synapse’s router checks all DEXs for the best price, and decides Curve is the cheapest

The user’s USDT is swapped to USDC through Synapse X

Synapse’s router compares bridge pricing on liquidity pools, CCTP and RFQ, it sees that RFQ is the cheapest and fastest

The user’s funds are bridged from Arbitrum to Optimism using RFQ

Synapse Bridge Transaction Flow

Capital Efficiency

Let’s think of a monolithic bridge that uses liquidity pools. For every new chain or token they want to support, the protocol has to deploy a new pool on a given chain and get LPs to commit those tokens.

With Synapse’s bridge modules, we support bridging stablecoins like LUSD, crvUSD, FRAX, etc. We don’t have any pools with these tokens. Instead, they’re swapped into a bridgable token through Synapse X, routed through the best bridge option and swapped back into whatever token the user wants.

Synapse can support new tokens without having to deploy a new pool. In the future, we can support wBTC, stETH and a long tail of altcoins and stables without ever deploying a new pool or contract.

As more, more and more volume and assets come on-chain, bridging is going to 100x. Whether it be users or under the hood within applications. If you want to move 1M USDC, you should use CCTP, if you want to move $100k you should get instant quotes via RFQ. If you want to bridge crvUSD you should swap it into USDC first then swap back into crvUSD on the destination chain.

But really, you should just use Synapse. They’re the most important category in crypto, enabling applications to pass data and money between different blockchains. Like the internet connected all the computers in the world, interchain networks will connect all the chains. If we as an industry solve this problem, we’ll have scalable, cheap & secure blockchains. Learn more about the Synapse Interchain Network. More to be announced on projects building on SIN and mainnet.

To be announced.. Crypto is as much about technology as it is about economics & incentives.

To date, Synapse has done $40B in volume across 10M transactions and 2M addresses. Synapse DAO has generated $26M+ in fees & $6M+ in grants. Continuously innovating and being the best bridging experience for users is key to building the best interchain network. The strongest inter-chain use case remains secure asset transfer. Becoming the trusted bridge the same way Uniswap is the trusted DEX has compounding network effects. Users trusting Synapse leads to protocols trusting Synapse. We already see this flywheel with GMX, Defi Kingdoms, and others building on top of the Synapse Bridge.

Synapse Interchain Network

SIN enables inter-chain transactions with the same reliability as transactions on a single chain. Every blockchain is a global decentralized computer. Today, we have decentralized computing and centralized networking. Developers rely on centralized oracles and consensus to move money and data between different chains, defeating the whole purpose of building on blockchains in the first place. As Synapse transitions from being the bridge of choice to the Interchain Network of choice, we’re unlocking a whole ecosystem of Dapps, games & NFTs natively built on Synapse’s Interchain Network. The same users bridging today will be gaming or taking inter-chain loans out in the future.

Today, step 1 is going live with the best bridging architecture. Synapse will remain the only bridge you’ll ever need.

Step 1 - Build the best bridge

What is RFQ?

Request for quote bridging turns every bridge transaction into an auction. Users submit their bridge requests, and relayers compete with each other to provide the cheapest possible quote. The relayer with the best quote is selected and immediately gives the users their funds on their desired destination chain.

This will make Synapse the fastest, cheapest, most capital-efficient and most flexible bridge.

Fastest - bridge in less than 10 seconds. Relayers provide users their funds immediately.

Cheapest - relayers are incentivized to offer the cheapest possible quote in order to win a transaction. Every single MEV bot, market maker, etc can become a relayer competing to win transactions and collectively bringing down bridging costs for users.

Capital Efficiency - RFQ bridging doesn’t rely on a liquidity pool. This means a relayer with $1000 USDC can complete hundreds of transactions a day by constantly rebalancing its capital as users bridge.

Flexible - As the RFQ ecosystem expands, relayers can quote for any asset they choose. The architecture isn’t limited to only stables or same asset bridges, it’s inherently cross-chain and asset agnostic. In the future, users could bridge and swap within the same transaction, taking advantage of the same inter-relayer competition dynamics to get the best price.

RFQ bridge transaction lifecycle

User has $10 USDC on Ethereum and wants to bridge to Arbitrum

Relayers pick up this transaction and submit their best offer. Relayer A offers $9.99 USDC and Relayer B offers $9.98 USDC

Relayer A has the best price so it wins the transaction

It immediately sends the user $9.99 USDC on Arbitrum

Later, the SynapseRFQ contract unlocks the origin $10 USDC to Relayer A.

RFQ Bridge transaction lifecycle

RFQ bridging is live today on Optimism, Arbitrum and Etherum for USDC transactions under $10k.

In his blog post, Endgame, Vitalik lays out his vision for scaling Ethereum. Ethereum block space is limited & expensive – there is simply not enough compute to run everything on Ethereum. If this problem is to be solved without compromising security, he suggests three components are required: a decentralized settlement layer, low-cost rollups, and an optimistic interchain communication network. Two years later, Ethereum has become that settlement layer, and low-cost optimistic rollups are plentiful.

Yet one piece of the puzzle remains unsolved: the optimistic interchain communication network.

Today, we are launching testnets of the Synapse Interchain Network (SIN) and Synapse Chain. This is the full stack required to achieve the endgame, the last remaining puzzle piece in Vitalik’s vision.

Synapse Interchain Network (SIN) — The first optimistic proof-of-stake interchain network, enabling trustless communication and settlement between chains.

Synapse Chain — An optimistic rollup that serves as data availability for the Interchain Network, where network agents stake tokens, confirm transactions and submit fraud proofs. With the Interchain Network natively enshrined, apps on Synapse Chain have access to all interchain state to execute interchain transactions seamlessly.

Graphic from Vitalik’s Endgame blog post Our answer to the Endgame.

Enter the Synapse Interchain Network (SIN)

SIN is the first optimistic proof-of-stake interchain network, enabling trustless communication and settlement between chains. Apps built on SIN have all blockchain data accessible, and liquidity transferable across all chains.

With SIN, transactions across chains now have the same reliability as that you do in transactions on a single chain. SIN is built like an L2 and is secured like an L2, but it expands upon what L2s make possible. This expansion of the principles behind Ethereum and rollups will unlock an entirely new set of crypto primitives.

All SIN transactions are optimistically verified, and the full interchain state can be recreated from Ethereum. Following these principles, the network is trustless, permissionless, and modular:

Trustless — A single honest actor maintains network security, as long as there is at least one honest agent, fraudulent messages aren't executed. The network doesn’t rely on centralized oracles or permissioned relayers to validate transactions.

Permissionless — Anyone can run an agent, strengthening network security & competing for fees. Furthermore, agents can permissionlessly support new chains.

Modular Security — Different types of use cases have different security needs. SIN’s security architecture supports them all. Apps can leverage the customizable optimistic period to ensure interchain integrity. This flexible design enables the full range of interchain use cases, from multi-billion dollar Dapp governance to NFT bridging.

Staking & Fees

Solving the interchain communication problem is important enough to require its own network with its own economics. Just as L1 gas fees represent the cost of on-chain compute, SIN transaction fees represent the cost of interchain compute.

Agents stake to start confirming SIN transactions

Fees are paid for every transaction sent on SIN

Fees are split among honest agents involved in confirming transactions

Dishonest agents have their stakes slashed and given to honest agents

ETH’s ecosystem built around gas fees allowed LSDs (liquid staking derivatives) and DPOS (delegated proof of stake) to flourish. SIN fees create the opportunity for an ecosystem built around interchain compute fees. As trustless interchain compute becomes a reality, Interchain compute will become as valuable as on-chain compute.

In the future, network stakeholders may vote on what token agents use for staking and how to allocate SIN fees.

How does the Interchain Network use Synapse Chain?

SIN uses Synapse Chain as its coordination hub.

Message attestations, agent stakes, and fraud reports are all posted there. This allows SIN to get the benefits of Synapse Chain’s cheap & near-instant transaction confirmation, while maintaining Ethereum as the data availability layer of last resort.

All SIN transactions get posted to Synapse Chain, which as an Ethereum L2, posts all transactions to Ethereum. The full SIN interchain state can always be recreated from Ethereum.

Enter Synapse Chain

An Ethereum-based optimistic rollup built on the Syn OP stack. With the Synapse Interchain Network natively enshrined, apps built on Synapse Chain have access to all interchain state and the ability to execute interchain transactions seamlessly. Transactions on Synapse Chain are near instant and cost a fraction of what they would on Ethereum. As an Ethereum-based rollup, Synapse chain takes advantage of the decentralization and security of Ethereum. All transactions on Synapse Chain are posted to Ethereum allowing full reconstruction of the chain from Ethereum.

Modularized L2 Bridge: Synapse Chain allows for interchain deposits from any Synapse Interchain Network supported chain as well as fast withdrawals from the standard L2 bridge contract.

Interchain Data Availability Layer: Synapse Chain serves as the interchain data availability layer for the Synapse Interchain Network. The explorer displays transaction information in a way that is useful for monitoring activity on the Synapse Bridge. Transaction data is extremely legible and can be parsed by chain, token, address, and more. All of this information is stored in an API that anyone can access and run their own analytics on.

Building the best explorer is useful both for users and developers. To interact with Chainlink nodes, users need to pay operators in $LINK. To date, Chainlink nodes have enabled trillions in transaction value, displaying Chainlink’s dominance in becoming the premier oracle solution in web3. Chainlink is now looking to satiate demand for these services across new chains, Klaytn being one of the first.

The deployment of $LINK onto Klaytn is a wrapped ERC-677 token that will be used as payment for Chainlink services on Klaytn mainnet, helping drive organic user demand. Because this wrapped version is the permissioned token for payment, the bridged token functions as native $LINK on the chain. This synergy is the beginning of a bourgeoning relationship between Chainlink and Synapse to propel forward a cross-chain vision. The more that $LINK is used and needed on Klaytn, the more users and volume flow through the Synapse Bridge.

Klaytn is an EVM compatible blockchain which boasts some of the fastest throughput, time to finality, and TPS metrics. Similarly, this is Synapse’s first connection into the Cosmos ecosystem, bringing Synapse closer to its goal of being the most widely-used and built upon cross-chain communications network.

Users can now seamlessly bridge stablecoins into Canto from all of the connected chains in which Synapse hosts a stableswap pool. When a user bridges into Canto, they receive $NOTE, the native stablecoin within the Canto ecosystem which is used across their native DeFi apps.

Expanding Access to Canto’s Free Public Infrastructure

Canto is a general-purpose blockchain with EVM compatibility built around the idea of free public infrastructure (FPI) — the notion of FPI describes a blockchain system in which its core primitives are baked into the protocol as opposed to separate dapps with their own token. FPI argues that these external dapps are always forced to extract rent from users, which is at odds with how primitives should operate.

Canto features three core primitives that are home to the protocol. Since none of them have their own token, users can access them without any transaction fees.

Canto DEX — a zero-fee DEX

Canto Lending Market — a pooled lending Compound v2 fork

$NOTE — a fully collateralized unit of account, valued at $1 USD, issued by the Canto Lending Market

Before today, the only way to enter the Canto ecosystem is through Gravity Bridge. Gravity only supports the bridging of assets into Canto from Ethereum and Cosmos Hub, leaving out a large swath of assets that exist on other blockchains.

Enter Synapse, crypto’s most widely used cross-chain messaging system and value bridge. Synapse now connects Canto to the remainder of the multi-chain ecosystem, enabling users and assets that exist on chains like Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and BNB Chain, and more. With a the Synapse bridge on Canto, more users can enter the ecosystem, furthering Canto’s growth plans. In tandem, increased volume through Synapse grows the protocol and expands Synapse to a new suite of users. As the Canto ecosystem grows, Synapse will be extremely well positioned to cement itself as a core piece of infrastructure within the network.

The bridge implementation features a new liquidity pool comprised of nUSD and NOTE. This new pool allows users to directly swap their stablecoins on one blockchain to NOTE, ready to be used in Canto. Similarly, this new pool would allow users to directly bridge their NOTE from Canto into stablecoins on any of the blockchains supported by Synapse. Synapse will host this pool so that when users bridge, they can deposit any stablecoin on their desired chain and redeem directly into NOTE on Canto based on the current relative price of NOTE.

Opportunities on Canto

There is nearly $100 million of TVL on Canto today, bootstrapped by the network’s initial liquidity mining campaign. Users who bridge into the ecosystem will be able to earn yield on both the native DEX and lending market including CANTO/NOTE LP, NOTE/USDC LP, and NOTE/USDT LP. For users that need to swap their NOTE to another asset once in the ecosystem, they can do so via slingshot.

Additionally, Synapse can also help any project wanting to become cross-chain and deploy onto Canto by adding their token (or any other EVM token) to the Synapse bridge and making it seamlessly bridgeable into Canto. It can also increase connectivity between Canto and the rest of the EVM world by allowing Canto token to be bridgeable to any EVM chain connected by Synapse. If you wish to do so, please reach out to Synapse contributors in the Discord.

About Synapse

Synapse is a universal cross-chain liquidity network that connects blockchains by offering an extensible cross-chain communication protocol that supports assets, smart contract calls, and more.

Synapse has integrated Dogechain into its generalized cross-chain messaging system and value bridge. This launch makes Dogechain the 17th unique blockchain interconnected by Synapse, allowing users to seamlessly bridge assets between Dogechain and a wide variety of other chains.

Dogechain is a new EVM-based blockchain designed to provide DOGE holders with dedicated blockspace for creating decentralized applications involving DOGE. With Dogechain, DOGE holders can access DeFi, NFTs, and blockchain games. The native gas token for Dogechain is DOGE. As with all Synapse integrations, Synapse users will receive a DOGE gas drop that will cover their first few transactions.

Synapse is supporting Dogechain in conjunction with other DeFi applications, including Fraxswap and KibbleSwap. All FRAX on Dogechain and all USDC, USDT, DAI, WETH, WBTC, and BNB will be supported by Synapse via Synapse’s xAsset token standard.

Synapse 🐕 Dogechain

Dogechain was launched a couple of weeks ago and already boasts over 50,000 wallets and has processed over 1 million transactions. Close to 250m DOGE was already bridged to Dogechain via the official bridge and hundreds of thousands of transactions occur every single day, taking advantage of the chain key strengths:

Much fast

Cheap fees

DOGE gas

Wow

However, outside of DOGE <> wDOGE, Dogechain does not have an official bridge. As such, any cross-chain ERC20 token (for example USDC or ETH) have to be brought to Dogechain by different bridges.

Enter Synapse, crypto’s most widely used cross-chain messaging and value bridge that will connect Dogechain to its extensive liquidity network spanning across chains. In order to offer the best UX to users of the Synapse bridge, Synapse is currently partnering with builders which will build liquidity on Dogechain, using Synapse bridged assets (Synapse xAssets). This will allow for a progressive widespread adoption of Synapse xAssets, offering the best UX to Synapse users.

Additionally, to facilitate the onboarding of new users on Dogechain, Synapse will airdrop some wDOGE (enough for a couple of transactions) to anybody using the Synapse bridge. This ensures that any user of the Synapse bridge can start trading as soon as they arrive on Dogechain. As always with Synapse, bridge transfers between Dogechain and any chain connected by Synapse will typically be completed under 5 minutes.

Some of the projects using Synapse assets will be announced in the coming days and include both native Dogechain projects as well as some of the largest DeFi protocols which are planning to expand onto Dogechain. Additionally, Synapse is currently looking to partner up with protocols bringing the different DeFi legos on Dogechain. If you are building on Dogechain, reach out to the core contributors in the Synapse Discord.

🐕 List of Synapse xAssets 🐕

As a first step, Synapse will support bridging the following assets to Dogechain:

Bridgeable between ETH and Dogechain

FRAX: 0x10D70831f9C3c11c5fe683b2f1Be334503880DB6

USDC: 0x85C2D3bEBffD83025910985389aB8aD655aBC946

USDT: 0x7f8e71DD5A7e445725F0EF94c7F01806299e877A

DAI: 0xB3306f03595490e5cC3a1b1704a5a158D3436ffC

wBTC: 0xD0c6179c43C00221915f1a61f8eC06A5Aa32F9EC

wETH: 0x9F4614E4Ea4A0D7c4B1F946057eC030beE416cbB

Bridgeable between BNB Chain and Dogechain

BNB: 0x1fC532187B4848d2F9c564531b776A4F8e11201d

🐕 What’s Next?

More assets are expected to be added to the Synapse bridge in the coming days, increasing connectivity between Dogechain and the rest of the EVM chains. Additionally, Synapse is looking forward to working with any protocol building on Dogechain that has or may have a need for any ERC-20 asset that exists on one of the 17 different chains Synapse connects: if you require an asset on Dogechain, Synapse can facilitate it.

As Synapse will partner up with different protocols on Dogechain, before bridging your assets, please make sure there is enough liquidity for them on Dogechain.

Any protocol on Dogechain can list Synapse assets.
