The man selling them had only one arm but he moved like he had three.I asked him a little about his day.

He smiled and said, "I wake up early, before sunrise."Every morning, he prepares not just curry puffs but also banana fritters, traditional snacks, coconut drinks, and crackers. Sometimes, his wife helps. But on days she’s not around, he does it all alone.

By midday, he brings everything out and sets up his stall by the road. A simple tent. A few trays. A frying pot. At around 2PM, he starts selling. He told me he lost his arm a long time ago.

But he never lost his drive. He didn’t ask for sympathy. He only talked about how being able to work still makes him feel alive. It hit me we often complain about small things:a slow day, a little discomfort, a missed plan. But here’s someone doing ten jobs with one hand and still smiling.Real strength doesn’t always look like muscles or power.

Sometimes, it’s a quiet man by the roadside doing his best, every single day.Sometimes, minting a moment like this is more than just collecting. It’s preserving the unseen strength of everyday life. Hope this story stays with you.

Taufiq Tuah, Malaysia
