The rise of short video platforms has revolutionized entertainment and become a stage for numerous creators. However, as platform competition intensifies, the issue of internal competition has emerged. This phenomenon manifests not only in content repetition and homogenization among creators but also in the algorithm-driven battle for users' attention. Many platforms implement increasingly complex rules to retain users, pushing creators to invest more time and resources in pursuit of traffic, often with disappointing results. The essence of this competition lies in a zero-sum game—when growth cannot meet everyone’s expectations, anxiety ensues. To break this deadlock, we must re-evaluate the relationship between creators and platforms, exploring ways to foster cooperation amidst competition.
